    Muffuletta
    Cameron C.

I'm not sure if it was the employee's first day but this was the SLOWEST and WORST sandwiches we have ever ordered. I would give zero stars if I could. The Pisa and Muffuletta were an absolute joke. The Pisa's eggplant was UNDERCOOKED and INEDIBLE. The Muffuletta was extremely dry and barely had ANY olives or oil. The worst Muffuletta I have ever eaten. Not to mention it took around 30 minutes to even order. Overall sooooo disappointing.

I had this sandwich catered to me while at an event. Turkey and Provolone Sandwich - 8/10 Came with lots of turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and pickles, I added mayo and mustard to it. The bread and vegetables were really nice quality. I liked the sandwich and would have again.

I have so much love for Zia's! When I worked in Davis I would walk over here for lunch all the time. Now, I get to stop in less often but it's always consistent and lives up to my memories every time. On my most recent visit I stopped in on my way back from the Bay Area around 1pm. I ordered their muffaletta, which is a new addition since I was last there, along with the milano and a build your own sandwich. The team there was friendly and was able to help me quickly. While they were making my sandwiches I browsed the small shop and picked up some treats and drinks to pair with the sandwiches. As I was heading out with my order the line was growing again- they're a popular spot. I took everything home and we enjoyed the sandwiches a lot. I will absolutely be ordering the muffaletta again!

    Sad Milano

Sandwich was pretty sad. I went off other reviews from a few years ago and theirs clearly had a lot more meat... I get it, it's rough. Just charge an extra $2 and give a good product if you're trying to save product costs. Also, There was a guest who got locked In the restroom, check camera's around 12:20pm... The women told an employee their partner was stuck. So he then used his hand to push the push door open (locked from one side) and proceeded to continue to make people's sandwiches without changing his gloves. Come on dude... that's disgusting. If it wasn't for the fact that he didn't touch my sandwhich, I would likely not have tried the sandwhich, which was undeniably underwhelming.

Such a gem in Davis! Very cute deli with lots of great items imported from Italy. From pasta, sauce, sardines, sweets, they have it all. Order at the counter deli service. With very quick service too! Friendly staff and delicious sandwiches.

After years and years, Zia's is still great. Their sandwiches are fresh and really beat out all the rest of the places in town. I also really enjoy the desserts that they serve up. Just look into their deli case and you'll find something you'll want!

    Mufaletto sandwhich

Small delicatessen with a good variety of cold and hot (panini) sandwhiches. They also have vegetarian options as well as desserts like cake slices pastries and cookies. I had the Mufaletto sandwhich and it was pretty good. The size of the sandwhich is decent but not super big. There's no seating indoors, there are small tables in front of the delicatessen but they fill up fast. I was able to find a free table, but the cashier told me that there was a park that was a 5 minute walk away with tables and benches.

Wow wow wow What a find during my walk around the downtown streets in Davis today! I peeked in the windows and smiled, then happily wandered in and gazed upon all the meats cheeses and desserts in their window cases as well as all the unique amazing pasta sweets foods and jars of deliciousness for sale on their shelves. I chose the their baddaass sandwich with turkey smoked mozzarella w veggies and basil aioli and added salami on a chewy soft bakery roll along with a bag of incredible Community brand spicy jalapeno kettle chips, a lemon bar and a chocolate chip caramel brownie. All of it was phenomenal deliciousness and fresh and very affordable! I grabbed a bottle of amazing organic olive oil too. I will be returning regularly from now on !! Excellent Job! My hat is off with 10 stars to this incredible mom and pop deli in Davis California!!

A very long line and wait after ordering a sandwich. Very expensive for sandwiches with a lot of bread and small amounts of meat.

The vibe is laid back and easy going, and it's a place you actually want to sit and enjoy your food. What really stood out this time was the service. She was so nice and went above and beyond. Our Zoom call ran longer than expected and she stayed open for us, which you just don't see anymore. That meant a lot and didn't go unnoticed. This location holds up just like the others. I decided to grab a breakfast sandwich during their warmups but there wasn't anything close (no, Starbucks is not an option). I'd been to Beach Hut for sandwiches on a nice spring day a year or so ago, so I thought I'd give it a try. There are no breakfast sandwiches but plenty of hot sandwich options. I went with the Malibu. It was creamy goodness with perfect saltiness from the pastrami. It didn't just hit the spot, it made me grateful that I got this instead of a the breakfast sandwich I was craving. Delicious! There were two people working, they seemed older HS or college age. Both were sweet, polite & professional. I noticed them proactively taking orders out to cars that pulled up, an extra touch of service that they didn't need to do but I imagine was certainly appreciated on this misty and cold day.

It is a full functioning grocery store so there weren't any tables or places for us to eat our sandwiches there. We ended up taking everything back to my house to eat it for lunch. The service was relatively fast and the ladies working at the deli counter were very friendly. I ordered a Reuben sandwich for my husband and the French dip sandwich for me. My dad ordered the Italian sandwich and we also ordered a side of pasta salad and a side of potato salad to share. When we got back to my house, we dug in. My husband thought the Reuben was decent; not the best he has ever had, but definitely not the worst. I thought my French dip was also just OK; even with the a jus broth to dip it in, it was a little tough to eat. The meat was a little thicker than I would have liked and nothing about it really wowed me. My dad thought the Italian sandwich was decent. All in all, these were pretty average deli sandwiches. Not something I'm sure I would drive all the way to Woodland or go out of my way to get, but if I were more local, worth a visit when a deli sandwich craving strikes.

This message is purely on the price and the service of things I came in with my 2 daughters and ordered a total of 5 sandwiches, 3 of which were literally ham and cheese for my obvious 2 daughters that were with me and 1 for my son who was at home when asked if plain I said yes they just want ham and cheese and plain no mayo on one due to my small daughter being picky on sliced bread at that.. He makes them and it comes out to 70 dollars.. I had to get more money as my husband had sent it to me , the guy who made my sandwiches told the guy that I needed to pay and the shorter guy replied to him like yeah I told her, but she needs more money. I kind of felt embarrassed due to the tone he had said it in, needless to say when I was paying, I said something along the lines of $70 was kind of a lot. I didn't know that ham and cheese for a kid would be this expensive in which the guy replied we have kids sandwiches All you have to do is ask... I did not feel like that was a kind response..as again there was attitude.. I paid anyway and I get it things are expensive nowadays and something like a ham and cheese I probably could've made at home but decided to support a local business instead... suggest maybe adding kid options to the menu that's up above and a smile would go very far. I won't be going here again unfortunately.
