Mixed kabab

I've been to Royal Kabob twice now and I will say the portions and price are a good deal. Lots of food for a reasonable price. I like their kabobs mostly, particularly the kofta kabobs. Also tried the Zinger burger which was a fried chicken sandwich. It was decent but I would recommend sticking to the kabobs and platters. The fries I didn't care for.

Falafel, Chicken Platter, and Lamb Platter!!! SO DELISH!!!

This place is SO good and the prices are comparable to Shah's (~13). I frequented Shah's a lot during my undergrad and have to say that Royal Kabob is better in my opinion. The falafel's are so good, the chicken and lamb were delicious too. Ya'll need to just come visit and give them a try. The lettuce salad they include with the platters has cucumbers and tomatoes in it which doesn't seem like it makes a difference but it does to me! Shah's doesn't include stuff like that in their lettuce stuff. Overall, I recommend this place for anyone that loves this type of food.

30 minute wait for food because they were fairly busy...we got the hummus and pita...it came with one really small and very stale pita, but a good sized tub of hummus. The falafels are squishy and moist, so they are unique but not necessarily good. 2 stars because they are new and gave us a good amount of falafels.

"Chicken kabob" plate w rice, salad, hummus and pita

Service was great. Food was average, but with high prices, so 2 stars. Firstly, chicken kabobs usually means chunks of chicken. This is ground chicken with spices salted into flat patties. It is too salty for my taste. Note for parents- there is a chili spice that would be too much for my kid, but the description on menu does not mention it. Plate was filled mostly with rice, meat, a very small portion of hummus, and salad. White generic pita bread served on the side. Hummus was decent but nothing to write home about.

Royal Kabob and Falafel takes over Casablanca. The interior looks very similar to that of its predecessors. It's a small location with just a few tables inside. It also joins other Falafel/Kebab places in town like Falafel Corner (with similar offerings), Sam's, Shah's and Nick's. The grilled chicken platter we ordered was very delicious. It reminds me of the platter I would get from Halal Guys but the serving size was much more plentiful (and in a rectangular dish for to-go). Rice and Chicken was also very moist. Mixed with the "white sauce", the dish was packed with flavor. The chicken, while looked red in color was not spicy. We also enjoyed a side of fries (not pictured) was a very good. We also ordered the Baklava which was very delicious as well. It wasn't too sweet and that's how we like it. Visited on a Saturday at 12:30 and they were quite busy. Although I phoned in my order I still had to wait a few minutes. They were quite apologetic and offered me a free beverage (Pepsi products and bottled water). Seems they are on the popular ordering platforms (same price) - but I opted to phone in to avoid the fees those platforms charge the restauranteur. I will be returning again!

Had a lamb gyro and a platter and they were both alright. I think meat was less authentic as the texture was off, but it wasn't that bad

Great place with great service. We went right as they opened today 1/18 and the two gentlemen who helped us were friendly. Picture doesn't show how big the portions are, but I would say if you're a light eater it's 2 meals easily or a very large meal. The Kofta was moist and well seasoned. The chicken was tender and delicious. The falafel was freshly made and immaculate. Their sauces are flavorful and their spicy sauce is akin to the spice level of siriacha/tabasco so don't worry about it burning your mouth off. The olives they added to the meat platter are out of this world and recommended if you like green olives or capers. They add the perfect amount of acid.

This food bomb af. We got the Mix Kabob Plate and it comes with one pita, two kabobs, rice, and salad. I really like how it wasn't super salty like Halal Guys. It has the perfect amount of seasoning. The service was also very prompt and friendly. We live less than a minute away it was meant to be

With the student discount and a drink our total came out to about $30, which I think is a pretty good deal. I have to agree with a lot of the comments here in saying that the falafel is really good. The falafel was nice and moist, not dry at all and that perfect balance of like crumbly, but still able to maintain it shape. It appeared really well with the rice and the sauce. Speaking of which, sauces. They do not skip. My only complaint about the platter is that there aren't a ton of veggies/salad, but that's really not that big of a deal. The veggies are pretty good though, they've got a sauce and seasoned well. The gyro platter itself was pretty good, I actually really liked that the meat isn't shaved, rather it's cubed. It makes the meat feel and taste a lot more tender and juicy, as I find the shaved meat can run a little dry. Not much to say about service or ambience, as I wasn't really there for that or really paying attention. The person that was running the register was kind enough. I totally forgot until after we had ordered that they are known for their burgers. Will stop by at a later date to give that a try and update the review.

These two definitely cheaper and better to go to than Royal Kabob. Falafel Corner is more take-outey less homey vibes, less vegetables. Hummus has less rich taste, but as a non Middle Eastern person I think it's still authentic, just more take out vibe. Compared to Sam's, less bread but good especially when hot, no red sauce, more meat, less vegetables, less flavorful rice. I like Sam's better, but I understand the high reviews and would bring others here.

Can't believe it took me this long to write a review for My Burma. Long overdue. The food is excellent and I keep coming back. A few dishes worth calling out specifically: the Tea Leaf Salad, Sesame Chicken, Coconut Rice, and the Pad Thai. Haven't been able to get to anything else on return trips. One note if you're a heat seeker -- the Pad Thai doesn't get very spicy, even when requested. I like extreme heat, so factor that in accordingly. Most people will find it perfectly seasoned. On my last visit I tried the black rice pudding with ice cream. Don't skip it if dessert is on your radar. Dogs are welcome on the patio, which is a great perk. One thing to be aware of: the gate can be a little tricky to navigate -- something to keep in mind if you or anyone in your group has mobility challenges. My Burma has my business. Highly recommend.

This weekend was a nostalgic return to my go-to for breakfast burritos, and despite the inevitable price hike since my college days, the flavors were exactly as I remembered. The Legend: This isn't your average breakfast wrap; it's a heavy-hitter loaded with a unique mix of ingredients that shouldn't work as well as they do. The Build: Two scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and savory gyro meat. The Crunch: They pack it with french fries for that perfect starchy texture. The Kick & Sweet: What makes this special is the combo of honey and Tapatío, it gives you that sweet-and-spicy profile that keeps you coming back for every bite. The Experience: I was so excited to dive in that I actually started eating before I could even snap a photo for the review. It's the ultimate comfort food and the perfect way to fuel up while visiting town. The Verdict: If you're a UC Davis alum or just passing through, this burrito is a mandatory stop. It's a bit pricier now, but for a nostalgic meal that satisfies every craving at once, it is worth every penny. It was everything I remembered and more!
