Falafel Corner is my go-to spot for Mediterranean food in town. Located in the Bel Air shopping center, it's a convenient option when I want a quick and satisfying takeout meal. The portions are consistently generous, making it a great value. Today, I ordered the gyro rice bowl. The gyro meat was plentiful, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Paired with fluffy basmati rice and topped with their flavorful sauce, every bite was delicious. Mixing everything together brought all the flavors together beautifully. I usually order takeout, and my food is always ready on time, packaged securely in aluminum containers with plastic lids. Their rice bowls travel well, making them an excellent meal on the go. The prices are reasonable, and they frequently offer deals through Uber Eats, which is an added bonus. We're fortunate to have a restaurant like Falafel Corner in town. I keep telling myself I'll try more of the menu, but I always end up ordering one of their rice bowls - chicken, gyro, or falafel. They're all excellent. read more

I've never written a bad review for a place, but quite frankly, this situation was beyond unprofessional. Prepaid for an order on DoorDash so that I could pick this up right when they open, after class and before work. Waited outside their establishment 15 minutes past opening and there's literally no sign of anyone even being inside. They took my money but aren't even open. Ridiculous. Update: I called 30 mins past opening, he tells me he barely got there. He can't refund me because his DoorDash tab "isn't working" but it had no problem withdrawing on my end. The food is great here, but this is absolutely abysmal. Not once did they apologize for the inconvenience, and when I asked about my money, he kept saying "oh, you want the FULL refund?" ....as if I were to only want half my money back for no service provided. Don't ever order ahead, and don't follow the posted store hours. They clearly do whatever they want. read more

I had given this place 5 stars, but the last two times have been disappointing, so I need to lower it a star. They have been out of some dishes or things like lettuce for salad. Too bad! read more

Falafel Corner - Chicken Tortilla Wrap. Not on the menu. Ask for tortilla instead of bread. 10 out of 10 - Falafel Near Me - Woodland, California

Love that this place serves large portions! I had leftovers for lunch the next day when I ordered their falafel platter. I personally like their wraps the best, and their falafel has a good texture - the outside is slightly crunchy, and the inside is not dry or overly dense. You order and pay at the register beforehand, and the food comes out fairly quickly. I think most people order their food from here for pickup, as the restaurant has been mostly or completely empty whenever I've dined in. Glad to have this spot in Woodland! read more

A small quiet restaurant. Doesn't look very inviting from the front, but the food was delicious. I got the gyro platter. A bright and colorful presentation that tasted great. The rice was flavorful, the meat was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the tahini sauce was divine. I didn't much care for the hummus. It had too much lemon flavor for my palette. But I think that's just personal preference. read more

Falafel Corner - Chicken wrap and side of falafels. 10/10! - Falafel Near Me - Woodland, California

I really used to like this place but it's been less good lately. Falafel is top notch -- one of the best I've had. Hummus is fine. Unfortunately, it seems they've started using mayo as the base for their tzatziki, which makes it goopy and too sweet. And they use a lot of it, too -- so much that I found myself scraping a lot off. The rice I had today wasn't just under-seasoned -- it was UNseasoned, as if the restaurant had run out of salt. The salad on the falafel platter had the sumac, but was otherwise undressed. The lettuce was old and sad. Your falafel is great, folks. Please re-up the game on everything else! read more

I'm visiting the area and had a taste for a Greek salad with a gyro. The salad was anything but a Greek salad: lettuce was old, pickles, two handfuls of olives and no feta cheese. Gyro meat was cut in cubes not thinly sliced and the sauce was more of a peppercorn dressing. Not pleased..ordering Sushi :-( read more

One busy weekday night seemed to be the perfect time to get dinner to-go from Falafel Corner. I love Mediterranean food and was really excited when I learned this place opened up. Gyro platter - WOW! I'd definitely recommend this entree!! The gyro was moist and flavorful and the entire serving was very generous. The rice was well-seasoned and the white sauce drizzle was the perfect finishing touch. The side of cucumber and tomato offered a good, fresh contrast to the rest of the platter. The hummus was smooth and delicious. Chicken platter - It had all of the same items as the gyro platter, but the chicken itself was too dry. I'd skip the chicken platter and go straight to the gyro! Side of hummus - amazing. So good. Dip everything in it! Basket of fries - WOW! The fries have a great unique seasoning that makes them stand apart from McDonald's or in-n-out. I could eat the whole serving! Side of pita - so warm, so soft. I just always want more pita in my life. A single "side" never seems to be enough! Everything was amazingly warm, even after the short drive home. I was so impressed. I'd definitely come here again!! read more

Falafel Corner - Falafel plate (with extra falafel) - Falafel Near Me - Woodland, California

I've eaten at the Natomas location several times, so I was so excited a Woodland one was opening up on my drive home from work. Parking is super easy. Everything inside seemed really clean, but seating was limited (this is an issue at the Natomas location as well). I was on my way home so I did take-out, and the food was ready exactly when they said it would be. I've only ordered wraps from the other location before, so I tried the falafel plate since it came with salad. Falafel was amazing as usual--super crispy but not bone dry on the inside--but I wished there was more salad and not as much rice. I'll need to get extra salad the next time I order a plate, but I feel like the balance of protein and veggies is more balanced with the wraps. Also, I got all this food for less than $10--such a great deal. I'll be a regular. FYI all the meat is halal! read more

Strap in folks, this will be a long one, but entertaining and informative I hope: First visit: No online ordering and they don't answer the phone, so I stopped by in person. Restaurant EMPTY. One guy sitting at a table on his phone, and lady behind the counter looking bored on her phone. Menu screens are off, the place is so dead that it doesn't even smell like food inside. I went ahead and ordered anyway thinking that Wooldand is so uncultured that nobody wants mediterranean food, and that's the reasoning for it being empty. As I'm sitting waiting for my order, I'm reading their yelp and seeing all of the health code violations. Nice! Not very confidence inspiring as I wait to pick up the food... Food tasted fine but I was worried the whole time that it could've been mishandled. Second visit: Called 4x and the phone just rang and rang. Still no online ordering. This time as I walked in the front door I had my phone calling, and I could clearly hear that the phone was ringing loudly. Two men behind the counter looking really upset that I just interrupted them by walking in. They had some gyro meat on the flat top, for what I'm not sure... there were zero customers. As one of the men casually got around to greeting me, he just said "what". I asked "Hi, do you take phone orders?" long pause and no answer. I asked again "do you take orders on the phone?" to which he replied (phone still loudly ringing) "yes we do." I replied "okay, so you just don't answer the phone." This was an hour ago, I just called again to see if they'd answer and of course... they didn't. I won't be back! I hope this business closes soon. Someone needs to bring back Gyro Palace! This place is bogus. read more

The food here is great! The service is always nice and the food comes out pretty quickly.

Follow up review, I have continued to get delicious falafel and beef gyro platters with nice service from this location BUT... they already raised prices over 20%. The falafel platter was $8.99 and is now $11.99 so I docked one star. Just a bit disappointing so soon after opening but the portions are still so generous and always delish. read more

Can I just say dayyummm?! I've been to the Natomas chain, but I guess I forgot how good this place was or maybe this Woodland spot is better? Got their gyro plate and falafels. First off, their lamb hits different. Most places give you the strip because they shave it off the roast bar so one side is never charred and one side is. This place cuts up the lamb in pieces and they cook it I think so all sides are a little charred and this makes it so much more flavorful. I usually hate falafels because they're hard and dry. This place has amazing falafels. The outside is crunchy, but the inside is so soft and juicy. Unreal! They are super generous with all that amazing sauce and drizzle it all over! Bomb place to eat it. You won't regret it. Guarantee. read more

Delicious food and great service! We ordered a falafel plate, a bacon cheeseburger, chicken nuggets for our daughter and a side of French fries. It was all tasty. The staff were friendly and even offered our daughter a lollipop (with our approval) which was helpful to keep her occupied while we waited for our food. Our cost was $37 (which includes the tip) so great price for a family of 3. And I even had leftovers of my falafel plate. We'll definitely be back again soon! read more

If you appreciate authentic Mediterranean - this is your spot! Sure, there aren't a lot of tables and the ambiance is a little more to-go than dine-in. But holy wow ... the food is amazing!!! The gyro platter is definitely big enough for two and the meats are perfectly seasoned. Then the baklava at the end was perhaps the best I've had in NorCal, so exaggeration. So I'll end this review the same way I started it - if you like Mediterranean, you HAVE TO put this spot on your list and come try them soon! read more

Best gyro and falafel in Woodland! I have tried most of their dishes and always looking to try another. Never disappointed!

New food joint in town. Thought we'd check it out! Ample parking. Plenty of seating inside.

Just ate here last night and it was delicious! Definitely recommend the beef gyro, falafels and baklava. They were quick and friendly.

So sorry, but I would not recommend. Not only was it not clean, the menu items were not available, but two of us got sick afterwards with tummy aches and diarrhea the following day. We were so excited and now so upset. read more

We've been here 4 times during published business hours and it was only open once. The food was excellent that time, but driving all the way there three other times and not getting any food means they get one star for reliability. There wasn't even a sign on the door for why they were closed without notice each time. Bummer. Now I end up driving to Davis Falafel Corner because they are always open when they are supposed to be. read more

Best in town Good service and great food. grateful to have them here, bringing yummy food at an affordable price.

I have eaten here twice since they opened. It's more of a grab and go typed spot rather than a sit down restaurant with a server. I got a gyro bowl and falafel appetizer the first time and a gyro plate and falafel appetizer the second time. The first time I went in to place my order and they were a little busy but could not be nicer. I had to wait a few mins to place my order and they politely asked me to wait a minute before I could order and when I was waiting for my food, they communicated several times the status of when my order would be done. While I was waiting for my food, the cashier came out from behind the counter and began a nice conversation with me. My gyro bowl was delicious. The meat and rice were seasoned so good. The second time I ordered on DoorDash and was worried that my falafels would be soggy from the steam of sitting in a take out container but I was really happy to find that my falafel was still very much crispy on the outside. The gyro plate comes with hummus that was some of the best hummus I've ever had. It puts store bought hummus to shame! Next time I'm going to order an extra side of hummus to dip cucumbers in for my lunches at work. It doesn't say that the gyro plate comes with rice on the DoorDash so I ordered a side of rice but the plate does come with rice, so you don't need to order a side of rice if you get the plate. I wasn't mad that I have extra rice though. It's super tasty and I'll add some meat and veggies to it for lunch or dinner this week. Their tzatziki sauce isn't what I was expecting for tzatziki. It's not the typical yogurt and cucumbers, but it's super good. I was surprised but happy with the sauce. If you order the falafel appetizer, they only drizzle the tzatziki sauce over the top so if you like tzatziki a lot like I do, request an extra side of it. They will give you another 2oz container of it. There's no option to buy a side of tzatziki in a bigger portion, I wish they would add that bc I would definitely buy a side of it in a larger portion of it to dip veggies in for my lunches. The gyro plate was a big portion and that combined with my extra order of rice and falafel is going to turn into several meals for me this week. I wish this sweet family the best in success in their restaurant! It's so nice to have a new restaurant in town that's not another Mexican restaurant because there are so many of those in Woodland! read more

Mmmm good food. Courteous service. Clean eating areas. I love the Gyros and their plates are so generous you definitely won't go hungry.

Ordered the falafel plate. My plate was filled with a generous portion of rice, 5 delicious falafel, tasty hummus, and warm pita for only $8.99. I was starving, yet I only managed to eat maybe half.
