VEGETARIAN BEYOND PATTY SUBSTITUTE AVAILABLE! This place was bomb, great onion rings, infinite customization options, super unique specials, and a slamming smash burger. Service was friendly and gave me extra ranch. Interior is spacious and clean. I inhaled two deluxe burgers and even craved a third!

Outdoor patio seating with umbrellas

We ordered takeout (via their website) at around 5pm on a Tuesday evening. The food was ready just shortly after given that it was pretty empty inside. There was plenty of indoor seating, equipped with TVs playing sports and ceiling fans. There were also a few table outside in the patio area with umbrellas. The decor down to the pillars within the restaurant were painted to resemble trees with raccoons living inside them. It was a nice detail to demonstrate the "outpost-rustic" vibes. The burgers were pretty solid. We got the double onion smash and the bacon avo smash burgers. The images made them seem like they were smaller-sized, comparable to shake shack, so we ordered the double in case. However, to our surprise, the burgers were pretty hefty, filling and yummy. Our favorite was the onion smash burger. It fulfilled the foundational standards of a good burger, PLUS grilled onions! It was quite heavy, and would recommend the single patty version if you want to try their other burgers as well. We felt that their bacon avo burger was just alright. It definitely had all of the contents, but it just didn't have the same cohesiveness between all of the elements. From my recollection, the avocados were sliced rather than mashed. I may have preferred them to be mashed and then better integrated to each bite uniformly. BUT this is kind of a personal preference. By the way, the buns were PRETTY TASTY. I believe it was a potato bun, which was fluffy and had a nice chew (hard to explain but just know I was a fan of it!) Just asking around the UC Davis locals and they had never heard of the place. I would definitely recommend this place to try. Treat yourself out to a family-owned business! I thought the burgers had great value, given the portions and quality!

Support family owned local businesses!! High five to Ryan and being cool about my million questions. -fries were made in changed out oil / oil pit from their chicken today (Sunday) -gluten sensitive folks, they take precautions, will wipe down surface before prepping your food -they cook buns and grilled cheese on opposite side of grill Thank goodness for a top notch, inexpensive burger joint where the lines aren't wrapped around blocks. Here they have plenty of parkin a nice outside patio, clean indoor sitting, homemade lemonade, STEAK FRIES (my fave), onion rings where the onion stays in its shell, burgers that aren't picture perfect for instagram but it has that real homemade energy, little uneven and maybe not the prettiest but you know it's about to slap.

Fast service, lots of space. They have beers on tap. Smash burgers were huge! Just one smash for a ~170# dude got me full. I really wanted to eat another one but I'd be dying after. I think the patties were very juicy and the burgers. I personally do like my smash patties a little more flattened and crispy. Sauce was great, might ask for it on the side or ask for lite just so I can control how much is on it. Same thing with pickles, nice and refreshing but might ask for it on the side so I'm not getting it on every bite... I personally like to eat the pickles every few bites so it helps cut the juicy and delicious savoriness of the burger. All in all, solid spot.

Good size and cooked perfectly medium. Fries were on point and beers next door too.

This cute burger spot, themed after a national forest, is next to a bar. You can order by scanning your QR code. I was so hungry that I didn't even take a pic before devouring my smash burger. The burger was great, and the thick-cut fries were a nice side. They also have other types of burgers and sides. I'll definitely be back if I ever find myself in the Davis area.

We visited outpost again to try some of their famous burgers and we're weren't disappointed. The burgers are delicious and flavorful. The service was great and they are again open to offer suggestions on what you might be interested in trying. I prefer the plain thick cut fries over the chili fries because I didn't realize they would be so cheesy however overall good food!

Food: 7/10 Service: 8/10 Ambiance :9/10 My husband rated the food 10/10. For me the cheese and sauce was A LOT and overpowered the smash onion patty. I loved that the fries and onion rings were the perfect crisp. Every fry was perfectly crisp and soft inside.

Double outpost (I can't remember the name), bacon guac burger, side of fries.

The smash burgers here are so solid. They do smash burgers right: onions are done very well, the crisp on the patty, the soft bun, not overwhelmingly large/impossible to eat. I really can't recommend this place more for burger fans. Chili is alright, in my opinion, but it's very meaty. Fries are steak fries and done quite well. The service is always great. The staff are friendly and (when it's not super crowded), are really good about getting you your order. I remember when this location was a Taiwanese restaurant and another restaurant before Outpost came. I will say, the existing layout works really well for the restaurant. I highly recommend this place!

The burger was a solo 4-4.25 but the service nocked it up to a 5. Owner was super nice and a dog lover and bought out pup a dog burger (basically a plain burger with no seasoning cooked). Also had a fun surf band playing live at the bar next door that's attached.

Ambiance: a burger shack with self serve QR codes at the tables and a server to order. There are tvs everyone streaming shows and games which was a nice mood Service: the cashier was super friendly inviting Food: I ordered the double onion smash burger. I found the burger to be too salty and parts and under seasoned in other bites. Additionally the cheese was over bearing making the burger gooey. I did like the onions which I found to be flavorful and welcoming in the dish

Breakfast smash burger with avocado and tomato

Outpost is hands down my favorite place to grab a burger in Davis. So happy we have a smash burger place in town. My usual order is the classic double onion smash, but I've also started getting the breakfast smash burger, which I think is a fairly new offering. The breakfast burger comes with a perfectly runny fried egg and their signature switch back sauce and cheese, and I like adding avocado and tomato for an extra $1.50 total to make the burger a little more filling. I've also tried the chili, which is tasty but nothing particularly special. And my dog always devours their puppy patty (which they cut up into small pieces and serve in a box). 10/10 recommend!

We came as a party of 5 on a Saturday for lunch. Parking for this corner location is on the street…read more& the Farmers Market was going on across the way at Central Park. We lucked out with quickly getting a nearby spot & joined the line around the side of the building. The line moved at a decent pace. There are 2 sections of indoor seating & some outdoor seating along the sidewalk with some of it covered. Signage is posted to wait until you have an order number to find seating, but it appeared a few parties didn't honor that. You order at the counter inside & find a table. The menu is on big boards above with some items displayed on smaller boards on the counter. Handheld menus are also available. Specials were on a board by the door. The style inside is older & worn with character. There are big windows, but with all the dark wood, it didn't feel bright where we sat. Faint music plays, but is mostly obscured by the sound of fellow diners who are at tables that are situated closely. Tables have padded chair & wooden bench seating. Our order-- Chicken Pesto Crepe with Spring Mix Chicken Pesto Crepe with customizations & Potatoes Canadian Benedict with Potatoes Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich with Spring Mix & Potatoes Strawberry Chocolate Crepe Water, ice cubes, & lemon slices are self serve. It was a bit of a wait for our food that came out at the same time. We all really enjoyed our food! The crepes had a good amount of tasty filling--the savory had great cheese pull, the sweet was loaded with melty chocolate. The Spring Mix Salad came dressed with a light, sweeter dressing. The Potatoes were soft & mashable vs being firm cubes. Staff we encountered--from ordering to serving to clearing the table to leaving--were friendly, helpful, & personable.

Oh my gosh, I love Crepeville. It is seriously one of the best spots ever. From the breakfast…read morepotatoes to the bacon to the strawberry Nutella crepes, everything is so good and I end up getting the same thing every time. My friends usually get the pesto chicken sandwich and that is also really good. But I cannot stress enough how amazing the breakfast potatoes are. I wish I could take them everywhere with me. This is such a great spot in Davis. If you can get past the line, it is 100 percent worth it. I love going for an early Sunday brunch or even lunch depending on the vibe.
