    P1. Chicken Teriyaki

Stopped here on a whim about an hour before they closed. The staff was nice, the place was cleaned, and in my group we ordered mostly beef bulgogi and one chicken teriyaki. We also got the seafood pancake. The seafood pancake was kind of bland. We asked for salt and eventually put soy sauce on top to give it some seasoning. The food was good, but to be honest, I have been to other Korean BBQ restaurants and enjoyed them more. Nothing wrong with it, just not my preferred.

The food was delicious, and it was an amazing experience eating dinner here. The staff were super nice and worked quickly, and the restaurant was not too overstimulating. My friend and I ordered fried dumplings, rice cakes, and bibimbap, which were all super good! I recommend coming here if you're craving Korean cuisine in Davis.

Saw it when walking around Davis and got it for lunch at around 12 pm. Was able to get seated immediately and it's nice that all the utensils and things you may need are set up on the table for you to grab. Staff was nice and helped answer my questions about the spice levels of their dishes. Bibim Naengmyeon - A super hot day so a spicy cold noodle was a tempting option. The noodles were cooked well, not too chewy and thin. The sauce was a good spice level and it was more tame if you dip it into the side of soup they gave. Meat was a little tough but the pear had a nice sweetness and the veggies like cucumber and radish added some freshness. Tried some of the tteokbokki we ordered as well and the rice cakes were the right chewy consistency. The dish had a nice amount of heat and we added the ramyeon in it which made the dish more filling. A solid spot if you're in downtown Davis and want some Korean dishes.

Great service, owner was super friendly, portions were sizable, and most of all food was really good.

New experience and updating my review. Things have changed at Manna and I'm happy to report a very satisfied meal. Bowl was excellent and chicken appetizer was super tasty. I just wish there was more meat in the Bibimbap bowl but flavors were excellent. Cucumbers came back and I really appreciate this. Not sure if they fixed to go orders but in house was much improved.

This place was ok. Nothing too spectacular. Just your average Korean bbq restaurant. I forgot what my meal was name. But it was pretty much tempura pork with rice and salad. Can't go wrong with that. It was nice and crispy. The sauce for it was pretty good. Salad dressing was actually pretty good. Other than that not too bad. It was pretty chilly inside. We came for lunch so it wasn't too busy

I'm sorry but go to Sacramento for Korean food. I ordered JjaJangmyeon for pickup, paid over $20 with an additional wait time when I came in, and it ended up tasting like it came prepackaged. Straight to jail. When I was younger I used to pop in here to satisfy my tteokbokki and eel donburi cravings. But the dishes here are not worth it and the prices are insane. Service is not great and often slow. Outdoor seating is cute and indoor seating looks dated.

Sunday dinner around 7pm, there were many tables available. The only place to get Korean food in Davis. As for value, the meals were smaller portions than other restaurants in the Bay Area. The spicy pork bulgogi ($20.99) was a good size, definitely spicy, but it was delicious. As for bibimbap ($19.99), the rice was slightly mushy, but best option for veggies and protein. Overall, really clean, and if you want Korean food, definitely give Manna a try.

    House special galbi
    Jenny S.

Overall the food was good, just overpriced for the portion sizes you get. 1. The jjajangmyeon was $17.99 for an average portion and it did not come with any kimchi or danmuji. It tasted good, but way overpriced. 2. House special galbi with rice and 4 side dishes for $32.99. The galbi was tender and flavorful, but the price point between the plate vs house special was incredible, especially when you only get 4 little dishes. The kimchi and fish cakes tasted great and definitely helped cut through the richness of the ribs. 3. Yangnom chicken, medium portion (6 pieces) for $15.99. Hot, juicy, crispy, and drenched in sauce. It was pretty good and satisfied the fried chicken craving. I liked the food, but it just feels like too much money for what you get. I'm used to automatically getting side dishes included with the course, not having to pay extra for it. I've been to a lot of Korean restaurants in Northern Virginia/Ellicott City, MD so I was really looking forward to this, but I'm not used to paying this price point. Maybe because it's a college town so the food costs more? The service was good, the food was good, but I probably would be hesitant on coming back again.

Located in a strip mall, there is seating alongside the wall and in the front. You pay at the counter and pick up your food. The bibimbap had a healthy serving of spinach (yay!) as well as marinated beef. Banchan is a separate charge, so I skipped that. Maybe it was the type of bowl it was served in, but one of the best things about bibimbap is the crunch burnt rice at the bottom. OMG. I love the texture and the taste. Unfortunately this did not deliver. There was a hint of crispiness at the bottom but not the usual amount that I would have liked. Nonetheless.the taste was spot on and should I get stuck in traffic again would drop by to try out other menu items.

I went from a thin top to a medium weight sweater. We arrived in Davis I grabbed my jacket to pair with my sweater. Today was a day spent exploring Davis to see the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts (CCACA). What a great Conference. We come each year for this Conference and explore Davis every time we are here. After exploring the first building of the show it was coming on time to eat. We looked around the current shopping center and my husband didn't see anything he was craving. He said we'll go more into town and look for a noodle place. He said he remembered one from our last visit, down one of the alleys. Walking up the street we saw a couple of advertisements. A sandwich board was on the sidewalk for Davis Noodle CIty, the exact place we were looking for. The little Noodle Shop in the alley. We weaved through the other businesses, past the dumpling restaurant, past the outdoor seating and to the front door of the Davis Noodle City Restaurant. The out door seating looked really welcoming, but it was chilly out so we opted for eating inside with the other table that was occupied. There were 3 parties eating outside when we arrived. When we walked inside we were greeted and told to take any table. We choose a table in the corner. The menus were under the glass table top, keeping it clean and easy to read. Each place setting had its own copy of the menu. After looking at the menu, remembering what was offered on the sandwich board in front, and cross referencing it with Yelp Reviews we started ordering. We opted for the Five Spice Beef Noodles, and I asked if that was a good option and she said it was their top seller. The Yelp Reviews were only ok for that dish, but I took our chances. The second dish we ordered was the Dan Dan Noodles She tried to upscale us to the one with vegetables, but that dish was a cold dish so we when for the standard Dan Dan Noodles. Both dishes came out quickly. The Dan Dan noodles were not spicy as I anticipated, which was good, I wasn't really looking for spicy. I liked the flavor and realized that if you mixed it up there is a sauce on the bottom that is really tasty. Dan Dan Noodles ($8.25 a steal) is a solid dish and I highly reccomend it. It's a great bowlful of noodles. If you are hopping for other ingredients you are out of luck, it's 100% noodles with a sprinkling of peanuts on top and a sauce on the bottom. The Five Spice Beef Noodle Soup ($12.75)was as described in the reviews. It comes with American Broccoli and carrots. The beef is so good it melts in your mouth. The broth is minimal and lacked flavor. I'd think that it's advertised as Five Spice that it would have more flavor. I don't reccomend it if you are looking for a strong flavor. If you are looking for great meat, that melts in your mouth, but is also a little fatty then you have the perfect dish. Both dishes came with fresh noodles, none of those dried and rehydrated noodles that some places serve. The noodles on both dishes were different and pleasant. I highly reccomend their fresh noodles. Customer service was good. She came to check up on us and was pleasant. Parking is street parking. And they have a bathroom on site that is clean and well stocked.

Unfortunately, this place has both bad service and food is not great. 2 stars for the price. Food (3/10) - I don't know how to describe it outside of the fact that it's just bland. I got the "Marco Polo noodles" which is just Chinese jia jiang mien. Let's start with the positives. I liked the noodle texture; it had a nice spring and were thick for a decent chew. Now, onto the bad. You could just tell that the noodles would be bland just by a look and smell. The smell of the bowl wasn't one of fragrant stir-fried pork but it actually smelled like starchy water. The sauce was super watery and had no flavor and I don't think there was even ground pork in the noodles. From what I could tell, it was some diced up mushroom and then black bean paste, without black bean flavor might I add. I had to add a GENEROUS amount of soy sauce and chili oil to make it taste decent. Honestly, I'd say it's pretty hard to mess up this dish as a whole and there's a lot of leeway on flavor but I have not tasted something that bland in a while. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have the thai tea. This thing was so sweet that it was borderline undrinkable. I had to wait for the ice to melt in the drink before it was bearable and even then, it still left this residual sticky taste in my mouth. Also it's 4 dollars for canned thai tea; she grabbed it out the fridge. The only sort of saving grace of this restaurant is that it's relatively cheap. $12.50 for a good portion of noodles might convince me to go back(?) VERY BIG maybe though. I might want to try their soup noodles. Service (5/10) - It didn't really seem like she wanted me to be there. She kind of just sat behind the counter on her phone with an Airpod in the whole time. She was just on her phone the whole time and overall inattentive. When she was, she was just asking if I was ready to order (twice in the span of under 3-ish minutes). Ambiance (6/10) - Eh. It was just kinda weird. The lighting was dingy. Also didn't like how they left dirty tables around (clearly looked like they had been there for a while). Overall, probably wouldn't visit again. Might give it a second chance but food for price was pretty good. Unfortunately, bad food for good price is a no-go for me.

For its price point, I expected either a larger portion size or better quality of food, as you could find better quality chicken katsu curry at a similar, or even cheaper price point within Davis. It took around 15-20 minutes for my dish to come out, although the service was friendly throughout my entire visit. The greatest highlight of my experience were the desserts/drinks that are created on a daily basis, in-house.
