This place is great for breakfast and lunch or a midday snack. Once you find parking, stop here because it is delicious. I particularly like the gourmet type of bagels that they have available. And everything is delicious. I usually get a sandwich on a bagel and they're serving of meat is great for the price. I mean the sandwich is huge.

Posh Sliced Lox & Cream Cheese ( With all Veggies )
    Courtney O.

My family and I stopped into The Posh Bagel on Saturday morning while passing through to the Bay Area. We were lucky enough and found parking right in front of the building. As it is Davis, there is only street parking. The inside is spacious with tables inside and outside. They had a giant glass display case with their bagel flavors and a huge refrigerator area with drinks. We ordered the Posh Breakfast Eggwich with Sausage, Posh Sliced Lox & Cream Cheese (With all Veggies) and 2 Plain Bagels - one with regular smear and one with peanut butter. My husband said the Posh Breakfast Eggwich with Sausage was just okay, but I enjoyed my Posh Sliced Lox & Cream Cheese (With all Veggies) even though they did not skimp on the veggies - I was only able to eat half since it was so filling. They offer other baked goods, sandwiches, pizza bagels and even bagel dogs. Everything looked really good and I could definitely see myself coming back next time we are in town. Staff was friendly, but not anything special. They seemed to just do their job and not want to be bothered. Check them out!

The establishment was nice and clean. I've never to this sandwich shot before I've always went to Togo's or Mr. pickles and this is in comparison of those the crunchy chicken sandwich that I got was absolutely amazing and I suggested for people to try keep doing what you're doing sourdough company cause you're doing it

Nom nom nom! I popped in here for breakfast on a trip to Davis earlier this summer and it did NOT disappoint. The coffee was strong, the service was fast, and the lox and cream cheese breakfast bagel I ordered was absolutely delicious. Bonus points that they have outdoor seating and strong wi-fi, allowing me to sit for longer than I probably should have to nom on my bagel, sip my iced coffee, and get some work done early in the morning before the blazing hot sun took over my day. It was also a fun place to sit and people watch in Davis' adorable downtown shopping zone, as folks wandered past with their dogs, and business owners prepped for the day ahead. This will definitely be on my Davis rotation for future bagel adventures!

POSH HOT PASTRAMI Melt with cheddar bacon bagel
    David L.

This place is posh! At least the bagels are. The prices can also be quite posh too. However my pastrami melt on a cheddar bacon can easier be worth every penny. Also I think it's cheaper and maybe more satisfying than the sando shop near by. They do not skimp on the pastrami. It makes for a very heavy breakfast or brunch sandwich. I also got the posh lox sando. And that was also quite heavy too. I think it's cheaper than avocado toast at various places. So all in all Posh is a great breakfast place in Davis. Maybe the vibe ain't as nice of a family style sit down breakfast restaurant. But the bagels/muffins/sandos/pastries/etc are top quality. And the staff are very friendly. It's not fast. But it is freshly made. Make sure to start with the order line first. Then go to the line that ends at the cash register. Sailor and polished A

Gourmet Spinach Asiago eggwhich & cheese! Probably the best bagel I've ever had!!

Well deserving of the maximum star rating!! Don't let the long line deter you from checking it out. It's worth the wait! This small local shop serves specialty bagels, croissants, pastries, donuts, coffee, sandwiches, and more!! I like to pair my bagel with a Vietnamese Coffee. The bagels are outstanding!! My favorite is an Eggwich made with a Spinach Asiago bagel. Every time I eat one, I swear it's the best bagel I've ever had. My +1 always enjoys the Posh Supreme sandwich made with all the veggies on an Everything bagel. It's scrumptious! Customer service is outstanding! You can get a glimpse of the staff working hard behind the counter. Everyday they're hustling!! Interior is pretty basic. Line up to the left and pay. Tables are available to dine-in or out.

I'm glad I did because everything was delicious. I ordered the pork belly banh mi and a cup of the Greek lemon chicken and farro soup. The banh mi was definitely the highlight. The pork belly was moist, tender, chewy, and really flavorful, and the crunchy vegetables added a great contrast. The ciabatta was perfectly soft with just a little bit of grilling and worked really well with everything in the sandwich. It was also a pretty substantial portion. I could only finish half and took the other half home for my son to try. The Greek lemon chicken and farro soup was also really good. I would have loved a little more lemon zing to it, but that's really my only critique of the food. Tenisha helped me during my visit and was super friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression for a new location. My lunch came in just under $30, so it's definitely on the pricier side for a sandwich-and-soup lunch. That said, everything tasted fresh and high quality, with plenty of protein and vegetables, and the pricing seems pretty comparable to the other options in this newly updated shopping area. Overall, this was a great first visit. The food was fresh, delicious, and felt like a healthier lunch option without sacrificing flavor. I've been waiting for Mendocino Farms to open and went a little out of my way to finally try it, and it was absolutely worth the trip. I'll definitely be back.

My family and I decided to walk around and as we were about to cross the street, out of the corner of my eye I spotted an intriguing window display...of tinned fish! Be still my bougie heart and the cookbooks, totes, art prints, artisanal and local cheeses, breads and spreads! They had just moved from a smaller location and this little house front made it all the more charming. My husband laughed and said it was like Mabel's had manifested itself knowing I would be there that day. The owner (Shelley I believe) was so warm and welcoming. She was sweet to my toddler and clearly had experience as a mother/aunt/grandmother to someone because she charmed my daughter who is usually very shy. I walked away with a gorgeous tinned fish print of one of my favorite local artists, and a tote full of tinned fish from brands I enjoy and others I had not tried before. The selection is vast and really offers so much for both experienced and new converts to tinned fish. Mabel's is THE place to come to for your picnicking needs. Grab a blanket and make your way here to grab stuff. Small sized spreads make it easy, and all you need is some bread or crackers, fresh fruit and salami, chocolate and tinned fish of course! They had some savory pies, cold pies, but mostly baked pies like peach, various berries, etc! They also have fruit freezes you can purchase too! We ended up sharing a banana cream pie and i got a peach pie too. The banana cream pie was HEFTY. It was HEAVY and PACKEDDDD. A LOT of cream a LOT of banana filling. Very yummy though and feeds a lot more people than you'd think. The peach pie was also very good! Im not a huge "cooked fruit" person and neither is mt family but we demolished the pie.
