I was visiting Davis and craving matcha, so I stopped by and ordered the Cloudy With a Chance of Matcha, from what looked like their seasonal menu. It was sooo good, 10/10! The original recipe does contain dairy/heavy cream, but they were able to make it with a non-dairy coconut option instead, which was great! It was very busy but the line went pretty fast. The girls working were also very friendly and efficient. If only I had this cafe where I lived, I would be here often!
I really enjoy Temple Coffee and have been to the majority of their locations. I came here years ago for a drink but stopped at the Davis location most recently to get some beans for gifts. Service was friendly and attentive. Seating definitely can be a challenge. There's a row of seating along the window and that was fully occupied on a late weekday morning.
Wow, what an awesome coffee shop to stumble upon during our roadtrip! It was packed, but the workers were quick to take orders. I tried the matcha latte and I appreciate being asked if I'd like sweeter or not. The matcha itself was the perfect amount of bitterness and not diluted. A big highlight was the pastries, the lemon poppy seed pound cake was light and coffee cake donut had a delightfully soft bite to it. Highly suggest checking out Temple, parking might take a bit to find too!
Perhaps one of the best matcha lattes you can get in Davis. I said it! The interior of the cafe is very modern and minimal, the furniture is very unique to the place, I love the plants. When you come to a cafe to do work, its nice to see unique touches and greenery. Its a very busy cafe, but I argue its the great work of the baristas on deck! Lattes that are coming out of a college town cafe are way better because the baristas just know our palettes and the integrity of making a drink. When I placed an order for my matcha, the baristas went straight to the rigorous whisking, and it takes legitimate arm strength to get frothy matcha. Its not for the weak. The seasonal drink items tell me that they are likely making their syrups in house. The pastry case looked amazing. Also since my drink was made to order the temperature was perfect. I had a great tasting experience. For students: since it is crowded it is a hit or miss whether you can find seating, let alone outlets. Wifi is available.
I found out there's also a Temple Roasted Coffee in Davis and decided to stop by for a latte and an onion croissant with bacon. The staff was very friendly, the coffee was great, and the croissant was delicious. The atmosphere is also really nice. Since it's located on a university campus, there are a lot of busy students around, but it doesn't take away from the experience at all, you can still relax and enjoy your coffee and food. Make sure to leave a tip at places like this, the service is excellent, and even something small like 50 cents is appreciated. Thanks, Temple Roasted Coffee!
It was packed with a line out the door on a Sunday. When there is a line, they take your order while you're in line, before you reach the register. The inside was well lit with plenty of natural sunlight. While waiting in line, we tried the coffee sample they had available. The wonder blend was super fruity. I was surprised that coffee could even taste like that. I didn't like it but my boyfriend took a bag home. I got one of their specials at the moment. the Camp Crush - "fresh watermelon syrup, vibrantly paired with matcha and sparkling water". I didn't like it and didn't end up finishing it. My friend also tried it and didn't like it. There are a lot of pastries on display next to the register. You're bound to find something you like

My husband is an espresso hound. We stopped in here when he was in need of a good shot of espresso. He was very impressed. He said the Dharma espresso is every bit as good as his favorite espresso at his favorite shop. I don't drink coffee but tea is for me!! I had a Sencha Kyoto green tea. Bonus points for it being loose leaf tea and they do not put it in a bag to steep. It was served in a lovely ceramic pot with a removable steeping basket. Their selection of goodies was pretty picked over but what they had looked good. They do have various coffee and tea accessories and lots of bags of coffee for sale. We come to Davis often. This will make it on our rotation of places to visit when we are in Davis. The service was efficient and friendly. The interior is bright and pleasant. Lots of students working on their laptops. It is lively and charming inside. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Clean, modern interior with SF vibes. Bench, counter, and table seating both indoors & out. Greeting people in line with a smile is always a great way to start customer engagement, and that's consistently the case here. The free sample of their newest (or fav) brew is also a nice touch while you're in line. The espresso is solid, perfect temperature, and served with a glass of sparkling (as it should always be). Lots of good looking pastries, but not much of a morning snack collection if you are looking for some protein. My vote for the best espresso spot in town.

This coffee shop is great. Convenient location in downtown, consistent quality, friendly service, and good buzz. Line can get long but it goes surprisingly quick. There's decent amount of space for students to bring their laptops...though I don't really know how you can get much studying done with all the commotion. Anyways...highly recommended!

The barista was nice greeting me and grabbed my order before I headed to the register. I ended up getting a bear claw to eat and a matcha latte with oat milk. It was little bit pricey with me spending around $13. Bear Claw: This pastry was pretty solid. There was a nice flakiness to the pastry and the filling was not overly sweet. The pastry was a pretty solid bear claw. Matcha Latte (w/ Honey): The baristas brought the drink out to where I was sitting. The drink was more on the bitter side (which I enjoy), and I didn't taste too much of the sweetness. As I was finishing up my food, it got really busy with about 10+ people coming in and forming a line. This place can get really busy with limited seating to work/ study so be wary of that if you decide to come in. Nonetheless, it was a great place to enjoy my morning drink. I love to see this Davis staple continuing to thrive.
Temple Coffee Roasters has long been a cult favorite of mine in the Sacramento area, and the Davis location is busyyy (in the best way). Like most Temples, expect a line, great service, and consistently solid drinks that make the wait feel intentional rather than painful. But let's be real... I'm also here for the donuts. These are hands down the best vegan & gluten-free donuts in Sacramento--guilt-free little gems made for Temple by a local baker behind "Sugar Plum Bakery." No brick-and-mortar anymore, but you can still catch these around Sacramento if you know, you know. They usually sell out by mid-day, so go early or accept defeat. Stopped by Davis for gas and decided to grab coffee. I've had Temple Coffee bookmarked on my Sacramento list for awhile so I was excited to see one here. The coffee shop had a lot of seating to catch up with friends. The service wasn't super friendly as the baristas were cold and had no expressions. Campfire sing a long - one of their seasonal drinks so decided to try it. It's a little sweet because of the chocolate and marshmallow cold foam but it balances the espresso well. Visited Temple Coffee Roasters today, while I was in the area walking around. Truth be told, I gave up caffeine for the past three weeks. I won't go into the reasons why, but I wound up forgetting to order my coffee decaffeinated. I wound up ordering a Mexican mocha with almond milk and light whip. I also ordered a veggie scone. Both the barista and the person working the counter were friendly and nice. I LOVED the Mexican mocha. It wasn't too sweet (which I was worried about), didn't need sugar, but was delicious. It had a nice mix of the robust coffee flavor and the richness of the Mexican chocolate. The scone was good. I liked the mix of veggies and cheese. I think it would have been better if it were heated. This cafe is somewhat small. While there is a good amount of seating, it gets pretty packed in here. I'd say my biggest con of this cafe if you're drinking your coffee there are the seats and the lack of electrical outlets to charge your computer. The bar stools are pretty uncomfortable. I really could only sit the stool for about an hour. Since the stools didn't have a backrest, I started getting sore. I'd definitely get coffee here again. read more

Visited on a Friday morning around 9 AM. It was a bit busy, but the line moved quickly--I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The staff was kind and friendly, offering suggestions when asked, which I always appreciate when trying new spots. I ordered a chai tea latte and an almond croissant. The chai was delicious, though I should note it was only my second time trying chai. The almond croissant was just okay--not as buttery, flaky, or creamy as I had expected. Overall, I'd revisit for the drinks and try different pastries. I tried their seasonal campfire smores drink and it was delectable! I love the malty cocoa they used. The espresso was shadowed by the other flavors but still a great latte. It's always crowded here (understandably) but drink came out in 10 minutes or so. Friendly baristas as usual. read more

I don't like this place as a study spot because it's overcrowded in my opinion & there's not much privacy / you have to sit really close to other people. there's also no power outlets if you plan to study for a long time. The coffee is amazing here! I came with a friend and we ordered our usual--an iced latte and iced matcha latte, both with oat milk. The staff were friendly, and the inside is neat and minimalistic. There is also a lot of merchandise for purchase here, which was interesting to look at while we stood in line. They also have simple syrup on a side counter for those who want to add a sweetener to their drinks! This will now be my friend's and my go-to place for coffee and tea! read more

I added strawberry flavoring to my tea as a sweetener option, I didn't know that was an option but it's pretty subtle. This is my go to study spot in Davis, it's a tranquil and cutesy spot for many people who are studying and reading. One time I lost my car key in the shop and I was very panicky and I talked to a person that seems to be their manager. She was very understanding and reassuring and even went into the bathroom to help me look for my lost key. Turns out that my keys were in my car! Hit her kindness to help me look through the bathroom is very touching and heart warming. read more
My best friend first introduced me to Temple in Sacramento, so when we met up in Davis I knew I wanted to come back! This is a well-loved spot in Davis to sip, chat, and study at. There's plenty of natural light, a modern yet minimal atmosphere, and an all-around clean environment. You can find seating both inside and outside--though it can be hard to snag a spot amongst those working and studying. I appreciated the kindness of the baristas, they're so sweet and know how to throw out warm compliments. They also make drinks quite fast, by the time I went to pay my tea was ready! I chose to order an Iced Enlightenment. I've had this before hot but the barista said it would taste different iced, which is true. The Jasmine is more prominent while the honey is subtle. It was mildly sweet and not as creamy. Though I don't drink coffee, their other beverages seem well-regarded. Temple Coffee Roasters has multiple locations throughout Sacramento, their Davis spot is on the corner of G street. Free street parking is around the area. Temple Coffee is a stand-out place to go for coffee in Davis. The quality of the coffee and baked goods there is top tier. It's no wonder that so many come to this location - you'll find it buzzing with people inside and out quite often. No matter if it's their coffee selection or their teas, Temple offers quality that you can taste. The coffee is rich and flavorful. I've never gotten an order that had an issue with it - in fact, I've always been extremely satisfied with my experience here. The cafe is beautifully furnished with warm tones that really welcome you to stay. There is a gorgeous long wooden table in the middle of the cafe that is perfect for many customers to sit at as well as the seating near the windows and outside. My only two qualms about Temple are that the prices are higher than most other coffee places. You're paying for a nicer cup for coffee for sure. And as I mentioned, it can get quite packed so you may have difficulty finding a place for yourself when it gets busy. read more

No they do not. They don't typically do syrups in their drinks but I think you can ask for vanilla.
