This place is amazing! I absolutely love the interior design of the coffee shop. The large tables in the middle create such a great atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to study, have a quick meeting, get some work done, or simply relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee. The coffee is delicious, beautifully presented, and definitely top-notch in quality. And don't even get me started on the pastries! They have a great selection, including plenty of vegan options. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. I even ordered some pastries to take home, including a few vegan ones, and honestly, you couldn't even tell they were vegan. They were that good! If you're looking for high-quality coffee, amazing pastries, and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend checking this place out. Definitely worth a visit! Oh and amazing customer service! read more

Zen, relaxing location with lots of seating. I ordered ahead using seamless and the time estimate was pretty accurate. There are some parking spots in front of the location which makes it easy for pickup. I tried the enlightenment tea - the Jasmine is lighter in tea flavor than I usually like, but the frothed up milk makes it more elevated than a tea made at home. The ice latte with oat milk, on the other hand, is EXCEPTIONAL. Incredibly smooth, I savored every sip. Pricey, but nothing out of the ordinary nowadays unfortunately. Closest experience I've had is a flatwhite from Fineprint in HK. read more

Temple Coffee & Tea was one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, modern, and inviting. The café was spotless, had plenty of seating, and was the perfect place to slow down and enjoy a great cup of coffee. We ordered a pour-over coffee that was served beautifully with a carafe and a pastry topped with fresh whipped cream and cookie crumbles. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The coffee was smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed--not bitter at all. I also loved browsing their selection of loose-leaf teas and freshly roasted coffee beans. It's obvious they take pride in sourcing quality products, and there were so many options to choose from giving us another reason to come back. If you're looking for a coffee shop with excellent coffee, delicious pastries, a relaxing atmosphere, and friendly service, Temple Coffee & Tea is definitely worth the visit. Whether you're meeting a friend, catching up on work, or just treating yourself, this place delivers. I can't wait to stop by again the next time I'm in town! read more

My friends and I stopped by after our Sound Bath for a drink and a little snack. The outdoor seating is super cute and has such a nice atmosphere. This Temple serves up the same amazing selection of coffee and tea drinks that the other Temple Coffees in town do. As typical with Temple Coffee, the quality of the drinks are top notch and really is the gold standard in Sacramento. Prices are on the higher side for these premium selections so be aware of that if you haven't been to a Temple before. This location is a bit smaller and has less unique features than other ones. It's perfectly serviceable for a cafe, but the ambiance isn't on par when you compare them. The service, however, was superb. I found the baristas there to be very friendly and warm. It's hard to go wrong with Temple, and if you/re looking for a great coffee drink and near this one, it's certainly worth the visit! read more

We went here Saturday morning after a full day of traveling the day before. I ordered their coffee cake donut. Wow is all I have to say! The flavors were so good. I also ordered their campfire sing along. Now that was a delicious coffee. Service was great as well and very clean inside. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Folsom in a few months. read more

From the reviews, I had high expectations and was completely let down. The ambiance is beautiful, I'll give it that, but the drinks are not a reflection of that. When you walk in, unlike other coffee shops, you order directly with the barista and then move to the cashier, which is interesting. I ordered an iced matcha latte with white chocolate (they only have it in powder form). Iced Matcha Latte with White Chocolate ($7.75): The drink was basically milk with a slight hint of matcha. It was very weak, I could barely taste the matcha, and I couldn't taste the white chocolate either. For an almost $8 drink, I was expecting more. They were kind enough to give me an extra shot of matcha, but even then, it still tasted weak. I didn't even finish the drink, that's how disappointing it was. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place, at least not for the matcha. read more

I've been to the Temple near UC Davis and it was so cute and magical had to stop by here! Noticed they offer matcha and wanted to check it out, i felt it wouldnt be japanese matcha style im used to bc thats how it is at big American coffee chains. I did ask if it was ceremonial and they said yes. But the taste wasn't like the asian japanese matcha stores in the Bay. It was still nice and u can adjust sweetness level. I went with 3/4 oz sweetener and i think i would go with 1/2 oz for the "not too sweet". Overall solid and cute vibe inside and yummy looking pastries! Recommend! read more

I always try to visit one Temple coffee shop when I visit Sacramento because the service and quality of the coffee is unparalleled. It is in the perfect location near Kimpton Sawyer hotel. As expected, the service and recommendations were excellent and my friend was impressed by their coffee bean varieties. Their desserts/pastries were fresh - I got their seasonal fruit pastry. The Mexican mocha was sweet, but not too overpowering. The fresh whipped cream was delicious and didn't melt too quickly in the hot drink. Only criticism was its decoration. I've seen other locations with more artistic interest, but it's a great spot for working. Saw many people with laptops and in meetings. read more

Delicious drinks and very efficient! I had the sunny with a chance of matcha and it was a great drink to start my day. Would get again!

Coffee was amazing. I had the Columbia which was described as syrupy. That's the first time the term syrupy is actually translated into something that tasted great. Nice ambiance except no electric power plugs for laptops. Service met expectations. read more

Coffee is pretty good and the pastries too but it is a little busy most of the time. Would still recommend

Temple has good quality tea and coffee that is consistent. Peppermint tea latte is my favorite. Any pumpkin pastry is always solid. If you're in a coffee date or meeting for work, Temple is always a good spot read more

Phenomenal coffee and pastries. Great space for sitting, working, etc. Tremendous option in this part of Sacramento.

This is such a cute coffee shop and it's nice that it's open late. We wanted to go to a bar for a drink, but the vibes were all off. We stumbled upon Temple by accident. We decided to go inside because it seemed lively and clean. The barista on Thursday night around 9pm was so sweet. I wish I got her name. We ordered a Mexican hot chocolate, single espresso shot, and a cappuccino for drinks. She greeted us kindly and asked for our orders, so she can start them quickly. The other worker on the register was also very kind and welcoming. She asked us if we wanted any pastries to enjoy. We ended up getting the tiramisu. It was amazing. My husband loved his Mexican hot chocolate. We would definitely come back if we are in the area! read more

Such a tranquil vibe at this Temple Coffee location. Beautiful coffee bar lined with their coffee beans, two ginormous wooden communal tables, and the staff are welcoming while they focus intently on their craft. Coffee prices are higher at Temple compared to some competitors but it's worth treating yourself to a quality cup of coffee and being in a zen state of mind while sipping it at one of their seats. There's an outdoor area in the front, too, for those who want to soak up some rays. Parking is mainly street-based but there are a couple of parking lots nearby. read more

MATCHA MIRACLE AT TEMPLE Walked in still carrying the aura of last night's dance floor and Temple was glowing like a Pinterest board come alive. Ordered the matcha latte and--boom--bright green magic, smooth and not too sweet, like it knew exactly how to flip the switch back on. The place is buzzing with light, plants, and good energy. Left spinning with caffeine and optimism, already plotting my return. read more

Such a great, cozy spot with an amazing atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and really brings a positive, energetic vibe to the place. One thing I especially appreciated is how they treat pets. It's clear they care, every dog that came in got a treat, which was a really nice touch. The coffee is excellent, not over-roasted like in a lot of places. While you're waiting in line, they even offer samples, which is awesome. I had a latte with regular milk and was very happy with it. As for the food, the bacon and onion croissant really stood out, very tasty ( though I imagine it would be even better warm ). The caramel apple cheesecake was also incredible, delicious and not overly sweet, even though the name might make you think otherwise. Overall, if you get a chance to stop by for breakfast, you definitely won't regret it. Thank you! read more

Temple is amazing not only does it have a good ambience for studying, but it does have a really good staff lineup. I feel like the ladies that were there were super helpful and understood the type of drink I wanted because sometimes going to a new coffee shop is a hit or miss, especially when Matcha and coffee always have different flavors to them. The lady that helped me was super understanding and when I asked for extra sweetness, she was able to give me multiple examples on what I could get instead. overall, super yummy the only thing is that parking sucks read more

Temple coffee roasters charged me $7.40 for a $5 drip coffee. Not sure what happened!

Came here on a Sunday morning based on recommendation by a friend and enjoyed my experience here! This location is located near downtown Sacramento so you'd need to find street parking around the area. However, I was able to find a parking spot just around the corner right away. The store has ample seating with really simple and wooden decor, and there wasn't a lot of people when we arrived around 10am. My friend usually like their expresso, but they had a seasonal menu with drinks made with homemade ginger syrup, so decided to go with a ginger latte (without whip cream), which I really enjoyed. The flavors were subtle but it wasn't too sweet which was a plus for me. Apparently they usually have a lot of pastries on Sunday mornings, but somehow that day they were busy, so by the time we went, the pastry cabinet was pretty much empty. Overall had a great experience and recommend Temple to those in the area! read more

I was in Sacramento for a week trip and stopped by here. I usually try to make it to Temple whenever I'm in Sacramento. Service was good. You order with the barista first and then pay at the register. They have an assortment of pastries too but I just went for their pour over coffee. As expected, the coffee was good. Wonderful coffee shop in downtown Sacramento. The staff (especially the cashier was very friendly and kind). I ordered a Matcha and it is great. Temple Coffee - Sacramento, CA January 23, 2025 I came in at about 9 am on a Thursday morning during a break from jury duty at the Sacramento County Superior Court. It's about a five minute walk from the court house. I got a small medium roast drip coffee and a chocolate chip cookie. Both were delicious. It's always joy to have a really good cup of coffee! The Inside is modern with long community-style tables in the center, a leather padded bench-style seating against one wall with single tables and chairs, and bar-style seating looking out to the street.
