Yummm the matcha powder used here is goooood, and no skimping on it in drinks either!! I had the matcha sparkler and it was very refreshing. Hit the spot on a warm day. The cassia cold brew was a bit disappointing. The brew itself tasted smooth but the cream was bland and acted more as cup filler. Would have enjoyed a regular cold brew much more. Of course I had to try one of the iconic yeasted waffles here!! The waffle in hand was super light and crispy! Standard waffle taste. Reminds me a lot of something I would find at, like, Disneyland as an on-the-go snack lol. A small treat-yo-self kind of thing. Lastly, I tried a vegan spiced coffee cake donut that was in the display case. Pretty tasty vegan donut. Not overly sweet. Like the waffle it would make a great complement to any of the drinks here. I came to this place after a workout class right around the time it first opened. I ordered a hot latte with half vanilla and half caramel. I do say the latte was a 5/5 very delish. My friend got their matcha and said it was pretty good. We were the first customers so our drinks came out quick! I will say my heart did sort of drop as our total came out to a little over $16. The mill has some outdoor seating where we were able to wait for it to open. It's cute inside but my it echoed so bad and we're pretty loud talkers. THE SETUP The Mill has a sah-weeeeet array of delicious coffees AND taste treats and we definitely took advantage of this! * My eyes didn't get past the Strawberry Donut, so my low-glucose diet was already a goner at this point; so, * So I tried to make up for it by getting a sugar-free Mocha to *ratchet down* any deleterious sugary overloads. BOTH were outstanding, and Bambi was quite happy with hers as well! Super great service. The girl at the front counter was so nice and recommended drinks when I asked and was super friendly and inviting. The vibes here are super cute and cozy and nice seating outside that is in the shade and plenty of people walking around and heading to the farmers market which is close by as well. Vegan Strawberry doughnut - medium texture good strawberry flavor - 4/5 Coffee cake - softer texture than the doughnut, whipped frosting and brown sugar crumbles - 3/5 Cold brew - 9/10 - bold flavor Oat milk vanilla bean latte - good coffee flavor profile, not overly sweet but sweet enough. - 8.5/10 Black coffee - 9/10 pure and simple The woman working there (I wish I asked her name) recommended the matcha latte so I'll deff come back here to try that. A very cute coffee shop in Midtown. We stopped by for a little pick-me-up before exploring the area. When we walked in, I noticed lots of seating - great for either hanging out with a friend or catching up on some work. My boyfriend got their matcha sparkler, which tasted not too sweet and was made with high-quality matcha. I ordered an iced lychee black tea (which comes unsweetened at default). When I went into the mill, I was walking my dog and happened to want a tea. I looked at their curated tea menu and asked some questions and found out all their teas are mixed and bagged by their herbalist who gets the leafs/ingredients from Japan! The person helping was very helpful, i asked for a mixture of both and they gladly mixed it up and reminded me on busier days they may not be able to do that. Whenever I'm in downtown or midtown, I feel the need to visit a coffee shop. It was my first time at The Mill and I really liked it! Coffee was great and service was amazing! I love it when places make their own syrups, it really makes a difference. It was pricey though, I think I paid $16-17 for two drinks. A great place to get work done or hang out with friends. The syrup is an extra charge but so worth it :) There's a pretty good amount of seating, and some of them do have outlets. There's also a communal wooden table in the middle which is so cute! Located in Midtown Sac, you'll have to locate street parking, but there was plenty of spaces when I stopped by. Service was good. I was planning to order a plain latte, but after seeing their syrup options, I decided to add their seasonal (Spring/Summer) option called "Wild Wood Flower Syrup". I very much enjoyed the taste! I will note, it's a bit more expensive than what I typically like to spend on coffee, even when I opted to not get my usual oat milk substitution (at an additional dollar). My total, with tip, ended up being about $8-9 for just one drink. However, I'd rather spend that amount for a good tasting drink than spend $6 on a cup of coffee that tastes terrible! There is seating both inside and outside. A great place to sit/relax while simply enjoying your coffee or to get some work done. read more

My wife and I stopped by to get some work done and to also grab a drink and a bite. The space is pretty small but has a very cozy atmosphere inside. They had a handful of tables and chairs to sit and work on, however, it quickly fills up. And even though there were more available seats outside, we ended up sitting inside as there were a couple of people clamoring around the vicinity. We shared a hot chai latte and a lemon lavender muffin. The drink hit the spot but the muffin was very sweet that it tasted and smelled like perfume. Both of us couldn't finish eating it, and I normally finish everything I eat, so it's sad to say that the muffin saw the bin. I've apparently been to this cafe before according to my wife but I don't remember it all, which makes a lot of sense after coming back. This is a pretty good grab-and-go spot for drinks, but I don't see myself being around this location to work anytime soon. read more
