Such a cute cafe in the Midtown area. I came around sunday afternoon and free parking was a little scarce. But I found street parking after 1 loop around the area. It was busy inside but I was able to find a table. Was a bit late to get something for lunch. So just got the bourbon maple latte. Tasted good. Flavor was well balanced
My current favorite coffee shop in midtown. They have very unique coffee drinks and matcha drinks, and actually do both very well! I feel like most coffee shops only excel in either coffee or matcha, and it's hard to find one that is great at both. My favorite matcha drink here is the mango matcha, the flavor is so tropical, refreshing, and unexpected. Also I love the mango flavored puffs that top the foam. My husband's usual order is the flash brew. The interior is beautifully done, and they always seem to have a new interesting floral arrangement sitting on the counter each week. Since this is a very small space, please be mindful of other customers and share extra stools! Multiple times I have been here and seen folks working on laptops but hogging 1-2 extra chairs just to put their bags/personal belongings on.
Wanted to try a new coffee spot where both my coworker and I have never tried. This space was perfect, enough space for us to have a work meeting and have our laptops out. Space is clean and simple, but still decorated enough to feel the vibe. We each ordered the maple bourbon latte. It has orange bitters and maple syrup in it. The foam is a little salty, which we both loved the most! I had it with almond milk and less sweet. I bet it would have been spectacular with whole milk. I ordered the parfait made with Strauss yogurt, delicious! It was packed with oats, nuts and just the right amount of dried cranberries. My coworker had the peach toast with mascarpone on it. She loved it as well. Great to have another coffee spot that knows how to pull a shot and make a latte correctly and have delicious snacks.
I came here in the morning and was able to find street parking nearby. There is seating inside and outside. The vibe of the place was calming. I ordered the sticky mango latte. I didn't really taste the mango portion, but I enjoyed the latte overall. What I enjoyed even more were the toasts. My friend and I shared the avocado toast (avocado mousse base) and the tomato & cucumber toast (basil-ricotta cheese base) with milk bread. Both were light and delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try their other drinks and food options.
Recently visited Concept Coffee for the first time and absolutely loved this new coffee shop in Midtown! I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk, which was really good. I also ordered the waffle. Oh my goodness, it was better than expected. Can't wait to visit again! Parking is probably the highest part about visiting Concept Coffee. Please make sure to read the street parking signs about clean up days. They do ticket, and saw several cars getting ticketed by parking enforcement.
I got the matcha split and it was so yummy! The banana cold foam tasted like real bananas which was delicious. I also got the breakfast sammich and that was supper yummy. It is loud inside the coffee shop and got pretty busy but other than it was clean and good vibes.
I visited for the first time on a Saturday morning while we were walking around downtown. The business was packed with most of the seats inside taken, as well as people sitting outside the business. When I entered there was a line, and I was happy to have some time to look over their menu before making my selection. Since it was my first visit I opted for one of their Summer Sips menu items. I was between the Sticky Mango Latte ($7) and The Float ($7) and after talking with the friendly barista I opted for The Float. The Float is their house made root beer syrup and a shot of espresso shaken and poured over sparkling water with a vanilla cold foam on top. I was so intrigued and excited to give it a try. Let me tell you, I loved it! It really gives root beer while still being a coffee drink. It was also light and refreshing for the warm Sacramento morning. I'm glad I popped into this cute cafe and I'm excited to try more of their drinks in the future.
First time here and ordered one of their signature drinks, the Maple Bourbon Latte. It was a bit too milky for my taste, and I also couldn't really taste much of the maple bourbon flavor. The presentation, though, was simple and beautiful. I did really enjoy the Avocado Toast. They make both the bread and avocado mousse in-house, and the mousse was creamy, fresh, and had a nice citrusy flavor. The presentation was stunning, almost too pretty to eat. Parking can be a bit challenging in the area, but I was lucky enough to find a spot around the corner. I also loved the ambiance of the cafe. The space feels minimalist, open, and inviting. Staff was super nice and welcoming as well. I'd come back to try their coffee again, but next time I'd probably ask for less milk in my drink.

Concept Coffee has definitely made a great impression my past few visits, I love that they have food items available. The waffles are delicious and the lattes are good. The avocado toast is very pretty I just wish it was on a different slice of bread maybe a sourdough loaf just for the look. Overall staff have been accommodating and friendly.

I came here after hearing rave reviews about the location. I had the Mont Blanc and my friends had the bourbon latte and Ube latte. My drink was so refreshing and zesty, but honestly I tried the bourbon latte and it was more up my alley. I like a citrusy taste but in my coffees I like more robust creamy flavors. The location was situated in an area with lots of parking options and I appreciate that. The service was quick and informative about their coffee types. I would come again to make my 4 star a 5!

This coffee house is simply amazing. From the food, the drinks, to the atmosphere, Concept has it right. It's not wonderful that when we arrived for the first time the place was buzzing with people. The coffee here is great. They have your traditional coffee offerings, but they also have a very creative menu of specialty drinks. I gave both a try. On the traditional side of things I went with their espresso. Their espresso is a medium roast that comes across very even and smooth. I appreciate that the espresso came with a sparkling water side car as well. Very classy and well done. For the fun side of things I tried their float. It's their take on root beer combined with coffee. At first I wasn't really sure what it would be like, but it had a crazy mixture of fizzy, creamy, sweet, and coffee flavors. It was incredible if you're someone who enjoys a sweeter coffee drink. I would definitely get this again given the chance to. On the food side of things, Concept has kitchen items like toasts and waffles that seem to be very popular. I saw food items coming from the kitchen non-stop. I have to shout out the bakery case though as I found the blueberry frosted banana bread to be amazingly good. The frosting was just enough not to be too sweet. Sometimes these kind of items have a heaviness to them that leaves you too full and lethargic, but this one didn't do that at all. To top everything off the service was outstanding and friendly all around. Concept is where it's at! It's a must visit. read more

New coffee shop that opened recently. I am a person who likes to wait for the hype of a new coffee shop to fizzle out a bit before visiting. I came in on a Sunday morning around 9 am. It was moderately busy and there was still plenty of seating. They also have an outdoor patio with plenty of tables and umbrellas for shade. My order was the maple bourbon latte with oat milk and the breakfast sammich. Overheard the employee telling the customer ahead of me that the maple bourbon latte tasted better hot and that validated my choice. Love the interior decor and I give props to the interior designing. It is simple but clean and modern. Reminds me of coffee shops in SoCal or Bay area. The maple bourbon latte was delicious. It is also topped with a dried orange slice and sprinkled with a bit of sea salt. Wasn't expecting the sea salt but it was a nice addition. As the coffee sits, overtime, you'll start to taste the orange. It reminds me of an old fashioned latte. I'll have to get mine half sweet next time. It wasn't overly sweet to the average person but, I like my coffee less sweet than "average". The breakfast sandwich comes with eggs, bacon, fontina cheese and garlic aioli. Wow this sandwich was huge! Didn't look like it but it was quite filling! I liked it but felt like the sandwich was a tiny bit heavy (greasy). I would get it again though because it was a nice treat yourself breakfast. I want to try their other offerings next time. Plant based milk has a $1 up charge which is steep. Given the area and surrounding coffee shops that either have oat milk as a standard or a couple cents, the $1 is still steep. Service was excellent and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Staff informs you that they call out your name for drinks but will walk out the food for you. There's no special bin for you to place your dirty cups or dishes but I've seen staff do clean up after you leave. Overall, great new addition to the Sacramento coffee scene. read more

All around 5 stars for the drink, presentation and service. I tried the Bourbon Maple Latte. The drink was perfect. I typically just go for straight lattes when I get coffee since I don't like the syrupy, overly sweet things places serve sometimes; this drink was nothing like that. It had a balance of sweetness and saltiness. Honestly one of the best lattes I've had in a while. There's some table seating inside and outside. Can't wait to come back and try more off their menu! read more

Since I work 100% from home (such a blessing), it feels like a mini-adventure whenever I make the 15-20 minute drive into the downtown area. Therefore, I was excited when a friend of mine suggested that we meet at Concept Coffee to catch up. Upon arriving I observed that we just missed a rush, so the friendly employee working the register was patiently waiting for us to place our orders. It didn't take me long to spot my drink of choice...Bourbon Maple Latte! Less than five minutes later our drinks were ready. Since it was a nice sunny day (this was following multiple consecutive cloudy days), we decided to walk & sip. I found my drink to be delicious and if it wasn't a work day, I would have spiked it with a splash of bourbon. If you're in the area, I recommend checking out Concept Coffee. read more
Big fan of this new coffee shop in downtown! I was surprised but happy to see them so busy already during their first weekend. Their five star average is well-deserved which is hard to do when you first open! The service was great. They were so friendly and bring your food right to your table! The interior is simple and clean. It's a bit small but they do have outdoor seating for those warmer days. We loved all of their food items that we tried - breakfast sammich, avocado toast, and blueberry banana loaf. I can't wait to try the everything bagel once they start offering it! They did such pretty latte art on our hot drinks, and they also actually tasted great! The honey cinnamon was very cinnamon forward, and the bourbon maple does have a hint of orange flavor from the candied dried orange on top, so just something to consider if you are or aren't into those flavor profiles. I hope to see them bring seasonal or specialty drinks to the menu to keep us coming back for more. Congrats on a successful opening week, we will definitely be repeat customers here! read more
Phenomenal. Interior - I already bought the Kinto glassware they use. Great attention to details on the decor -- really simple place, but if you look closely, the style is immaculate. Service - kind and helpful! Staff isn't necessarily overtly nice, but I had a really good conversation that made me see more warmth! Coffee - unbelievably balanced. I usually don't love ube lattes because they're too sweet, but it was amazing. So so well balanced with a perfect coffee shot -- the same goes with their honey cinnamon latte and maple bourbon latte with a touch of orange. Everything is subtle but easily detectable with a good palette. Seriously, this is my new favorite coffee spot.. I went there twice in 2 days. Haven't tried savory food yet, but banana bread was okay. Nothing special - a bit dense and dry ish but not bad. Their chocolate chip cookie was phenomenal! They close at 4 daily! read more
We have a new contender in the Sacramento coffee arena. Welcome to the Coffeedome! This coffee shop is a joint venture between Kingdom Coffee roasters in Folsom and the chef from Origami & Gami. The use of dark wood and light walls with minimalist furnishings is nice. It makes a good use of the space without it feeling crowded. The staff was extremely nice and upbeat. Like, super upbeat for 7:30am. We ordered 2 shots of espresso using their house bean and their breakfast sandwich. The coffee was an extremely interesting blend (I thought I tasted Ethiopian bean as part of the mix but neglected to ask) and the shots were not only pulled extremely well (look at the crema on the top from the pic I posted), but it was also the perfect temperature. A very enjoyable shot. So now that leads us to the breakfast sandwich. I think that the chef must have gone around to the various breakfast sandwich hot spots and sampled their competitors to see where improvements could be made. I'll argue that Camellia is the current reigning champ. But their bun is a bit crumbly. The bacon on their bacon sandwich could be a bit easier to eat. Concept gets all of this right. They use a fine dice of chive instead of green onion, the bacon is the right cook and thickness, and the bun is not crumbly. I dare say this is the new reigning champ as long as they can keep up the quality. Concept is an excellent new coffee place that can stand toe to toe with all of the existing Sacramento greats. I genuinely appreciate this gem that brightens my mornings. The minimalist style is evident, yet it pays meticulous attention to details. From the espresso machine to KINTO utensils, from the visually appealing and well-balanced avocado toast, to the locally roasted coffee beans, each concept contributes to the overall worthiness of this concept spot. I hope it will soon open in the San Francisco Bay Area. read more
Came around 10am on grand opening day and it was packed. Good to see that all the pastries and syrups were made in house. Drinks are not too sweet and coffee forward, which I like. The waffle and avocado toast was really good too and I highly recommend bringing a friend so you can order both to share. Loved the thinly sliced radish, kumquats, and microgreens on the avocado toast. The waffle with butter was good. The pastry case was looking amazing, but it was too early for a s'mores cookie. I look forward to returning soon and trying more of what Concept Coffee has to offer. Fair warning, drinks and food took awhile to come out today, so you'll have to be patient. Very cute but small space (so no stroller inside) unless you plan to bundle up and sit outside. Open everyday from 7am to 4pm. Watch out for the free 2 hour parking zones near P street for when the city cleaning/ sweeps come through. I saw a couple cars with parking citations today. read more
Overall: Great interior design with a clean, modern feel and a few unique food items that show some creativity. There's an outdoor patio and limited indoor seating, which gives it a relaxed neighborhood vibe. Street parking is available, though I can see it getting tight during peak hours. The coffee is where this place really shines. I had a pour over and my partner went with an Americano. Both were made with quality beans and brewed with intention. I appreciated the creative direction of the avocado toast, even if the execution held it back a bit Parking: Street parking. Manageable, but timing matters I had: Pour over with Crown Jewel roast (5/5): This is how a pour over should show up. The Crown Jewel roast delivered clarity and depth without any bitterness muddying the experience. Bright but controlled, smooth with a clean finish that lingered just long enough. You could taste the quality of the bean, and more importantly, you could tell it was brewed to let that quality speak Avocado toast (3.5/5): There's a great idea here. The avocado mousse was silky and well seasoned on its own, and the kumquat brought a sharp citrus note that gave the whole dish personality. But it needed salt. Just a touch more would have pulled everything into focus. The bigger miss was the bread. It felt warmed rather than toasted, which killed the crunch and structural contrast. And with avocado toast, texture is not optional. It's the backbone. Strong concept, solid ingredients, but a few small adjustments would have made it memorable read more

Sacramento got a new cofffee shop and everyone is talking about it. I truly needed to see if the hype is real and let me just say that I impressed by my first sip of coffee. I came on a Monday to try to avoid the crowds but it was still busy, and that speaks volumes! Congratulations on your success. I ordered the maple bourbon latte and they perfected it. I asked if they can make it less sweet and they understood the assignment. They add flakes of salt on top of the coffee and it actually goes SO well together. The coffee was garnished with a dry orange and over looked so pretty! I also tried the waffle and it was good but surprisingly not my favorite from the items I tried. Instead, I would recommend for you to try their breakfast sammich. loved this one, the bread is soft and buttery, loved it over all. Can't wait to be back and try the avocado toast and other items! The interior is clean, and modern with touches of greenery. I will say that the space is pretty small and gets crowded but there is still plenty of seating around inside and outside. read more

Dope location. 1st off, 2nd the place is run by great people and friends. I heard the latte is fire and the sandwiches are made by a chef that cooked Michelin star spots in NY & Chicago- Can't wait to smash it. Service was so cool, I saw a Banksy book on the shelf and asked if i could peep it, which I did. I saw Banksy in Poland so had to add to the experience. Prolly drop a slap on the way out too. My god, this place knows how to do breakfast! I've been here a few times only for their coffee and don't get me wrong, it's good, but their bites are AMAZING. I don't usually gravitate toward sweet breakfasts, but The King toast is *chef's kiss*. It's toast with whipped peanut better, bacon bits, and banana and oooo it hit the spot... Cannot recommend this place enough! read more
Im currently obsessed with their Milk & Honey cold brew. It's the perfect balance of cold brew and sweetness from the honey. I first came on a Sunday afternoon it was a little stuffy inside and parking wasn't convenient. I came back Monday and it was so much better, maybe suggest to come on a weekday! The Bourbon Maple Latte is AMAZING! The flavor is not too strong and has the perfect amount of maple sweetness to compliment the coffee. The drink is topped with a pinch sea salt which compliments the flavors well. The latte art looked like a white blob. Service was great. The employee was very friendly and pleasant. I noticed she added a pinch of sea salt to the drink without washing her hands after also serving as the cashier so their lack of cleanliness is concerning. It seems that this establishment is always busy with lots of customers consuming their coffee, socializing, and reading. There is limited free street parking with additional paid parking on the side of the building. read more
After a long morning, the family wanted some coffee. We knew we were going to pass by Downtown Sac so we opened up Yelp and started searching. We stumbled up Concept Coffee and decided to give it a try. We were lucky and found a parking spot right in front. The coffee spot is has a few tables and seat. Not too large and not too small of a space. That day there was only one worker, so we waited a few minutes before ordering. We ended up ordering a Bourbon Maple Latte. Both hot and iced. And a hot Cocoa drink. Unfortunately, the Bourbon Maple Latte was underwhelming. It tasted like it was watered down or something? Maybe too much cream/milk? I wasn't able to taste the coffee. Maybe it was a bad day, but personally I would not make a trip down here for their coffee. Maybe you'll have better luck? read more
