    Honeycomb matcha

Wow wow wow I absolutely loved Camp Cove! This is an Australian-inspired coffee shop with unique drink and food options. I had this amazingly perfect soft scrambled egg, it seriously looked AI it was so pristine. This was served on yummy toasted sourdough and hit the spot. I also got a honeycomb matcha it was so delicious!! It was a creamy honey matcha with cold foam and honeycomb pieces on top. I sat inside and ate and the staff was super nice and helpful!

Food ingredients high quality based on eggs mushrooms and potatoes. Preparation took 20 minutes. It was after 12:30 but no food orders in front of ours. They allow squatters even during lunch hour with a small drink and hours-long computer sessions hogging tables displacing people spending money. Small businesses with creative food offerings still need to offer customer service--and tell squatters they have a time limit. Hot, unsweetened oatmilk latte excellent. They use glass rather than ceramic or paper. Welcome throwback to old days of pub glass coffee drinks last offered by naked lounge 15 years ago.

I came here to try their coffee next to one of my favorite pizza spots downtown . It was such a cute little shop, and the waitress was being so nice and patient with an I housed person who wouldn't accept the fact that this place did not accept cash only card. The interaction was fun to watch, and highlighted the dynamic between technological changes and resistant to change . Anyways... such a nice server. I got a miso latte and it was DELICIOUS. Sacramento really has some amazing coffee shops, and this is one of them. I will come back again for other beverages.

Underwhelmed with my visit after hearing about the raving responses to Camp Cove. I came with friends, we were not greeted and waited 10 minutes before we were helped at the register. They were in a rush, trying to catch up and push out as many food and drink orders as they could before taking new orders, understandably. Store has very limited seating especially if you're wanting to dine-in. About three tables, bar seating facing the windows, and two benches along the wall facing the pickup counter, as well as a table or two outside. We waited about 20 minutes for drinks and over 30 minutes for our food. I tried the Tim Tam Latte upon recommendation from the barista. I was intrigued because it's inspired by the Australian cookie, however, it had a gritty texture and weird aftertaste. I haven't had a Tim Tam to know if it resembles the taste or not- However, I would not get this drink again. The coffee was very strong and rich flavor, but I was disappointed with the portion. I finished my drink almost instantly after a few sips because it was filled with mostly ice (See photo)!! The Banana bread was good, thick slice and warmed to order, sprinkled with powdered sugar, but nothing special. The Cove burger was mediocre, patty thin/smaller than expected, and on the drier side. The breakfast sandwich was good, but the bacon was very oily and fatty. The store is beautifully lit with warm lights, plants, blue tiles, and lots of merchandise. Super cute and aesthetic, soft music playing in the background, but the portion and taste of both drinks and food aren't memorable or worth a visit.

Camp Cove is officially one of my favorite coffee spots in Sacramento. Every drink I've tried has been incredibly smooth and creamy. My go-to is their matcha latte with half the miso caramel syrup and the Tim Tam one is also amazing. I'm not even a huge chai person, but somehow their chai latte won me over too. Their baked goods deserve a shoutout as well. I've tried the banana bread, which comes perfectly toasted, and the chocolate chip cookies, both hit that ideal balance of savory and sweet. I definitely recommend Camp Cove!

Camp Cove is an Aussie-inspired cafe in downtown! I stopped by in January and ordered off their winter menu. I got an Earl Grey Matcha, which was advertised as iced, but the barista made it hot for me. For my partner, I ordered the Tim Tam Latte - I wasn't familiar with what Tim Tams were, but I took a sip and loved it! It had a yummy chocolate flavor that was distinctively different from a mocha. Service was fast, friendly, and helpful. Drinks were prepared quickly and I loved the creative flavor profiles. The Matcha was good, but the Tim Tam latte was better! The space itself is very cozy, and I noticed some people were working while others were dining in for breakfast. There's limited indoor and outdoor seating, and I am curious about their food menu. Given that I don't know much about Australian cuisine, I'd like to see Camp Cove update their menu online so that I can browse ahead of time.

Was craving come morning caffeine and stopped by after seeing some photos from yelp. Honeycomb Matcha: This surprised me, I really liked the honey cold foam. It wasn't overly sweet honey taste and was more rich and caramely. Honeycomb garnish on top was delish, wish there was more. Miso-Caramel Latte: Super flavorful. Miso wasn't overwhelming and was just enough savory and sweet balance. Not usually a coffee person but this was yummy. Drinks were super good that we got 2 in the same trip xD

My husband and I went to camp cove for the first time yesterday and loved it so much we went back again today yesterday we had the honeycomb matcha, dirty matcha and the brekkie sandwich. We both loved our drinks and the sandwich was amazing!! Today we had a dirty honeycomb matcha and the Anzac biscuit latte again we were not disappointed. The cafe is very cute inside. The only aspect I think the cafe lacks in is the customer service. Service is fast but the employees aren't very welcoming or friendly.

Personally ordered the lavender latte with oat milk - really enjoyed it, actually, and I liked their coffee roast. Didn't try their matcha, but the rest of my party seemed to rank it very high on their matcha list, so I presume that this spot is also worth it (they ordered the honeycomb matcha, pictured)

We tried to meet up with some friends at a nearby restaurant, but they were unexpectedly closed without any warning on the storefront or social media. Scrambling to find an alternative, we found Camp Cove, which was on our friend's list to try. Upon peeking inside of Camp Cove, it seemed to be a more compact cafe, but it seemed pretty popular. Fortunately, we were able to grab a table that could accommodate 4 people (not many of this seating). The staff seemed pretty friendly. Their drinks were good, but I think their dishes pleasantly surprised me. I think I typically don't expect much from coffee/tea shops that also serve food, but I feel like their food was so good and unique! Grilled halloumi salad: the halloumi was either grilled and it was so delicious! I loved the textures added by the greens, pistachio, and the farro. It felt so light and healthy. The dressing was also the right amount. Chicken schnitty: delicious and well seasoned. The chicken was crunchy and the avocado was a nice contrast to the fried chicken. Honeycomb matcha: strong matcha taste, a bit more earthy than refreshing for my preference. Still very good! Not too sweet. I think this is on par with some other local matcha shop. Iced carrot cake latte: couldn't really taste the carrot cake aspect. This was fine though. Overall, I would recommend this cafe!

    Anzac Biscuit Latte

What a unique addition to the Sac coffee scene! This place has so many creative drink concepts and I was tempted to try it all. I ended up going with the barista's recommendation and was excited to try the Anzac Biscuit Latte -- it's basically like tasting gluten without the gluten! The buttery flavor was rich, almost like butter beer, with a subtle kick of coconut. I'll admit, the sweetness was on a whole other level (definitely sweeter than I'd normally go for). I probably wouldn't order this one again, but I'd absolutely come back to try their other drinks!

The honeycomb matcha is my newest obsession. The matcha itself is high quality/ great taste and the honeycomb on top is a super unique and delicious flavor combo. Definitely a must try! Cute/clean cafe and outside area! Friendly service too :)

    Brekkie sandwich Honeycomb matcha latte

This was my first time at Camp Cove, and it's safe to to say that I'll be back! The cafe is really cute and you can tell it's heavily inspired by the beach (hence the name). I can already picture this place being a beach cafe next to the ocean, but we're in Sacramento so... I got the brekkie sandwich which was very flavorful and hearty. I loved that it comes with thick cut bacon-- I think that's what really made the sandwich for me. The egg was perfectly jammy, not too runny and also not cooked all the way through. The aioli that's added on the side was delicious and had a good spice kick to it. If you're the type to add hot sauce to anything, ask for this aioli sauce if you don't already get it with your order! The iced honeycomb matcha latte was soooo good. As a matcha connoisseur, it's always a hit or miss when I get matcha anywhere because some places use quality matcha, some places don't, and a lot of places don't know how to make good matcha. Camp Cove has good matcha. I personally thought that the honeycomb and the amount of matcha flavoring balanced each other out really well. And the foam on top was spectacular.

Do make sure to make reservations before coming in, luckily a table opened up and the host was able to get us seated promptly. The seats we were given were near the bar and it was only the one bartender taking care of his bar and the tables which lead to not having the best service. Again we get it was the bartenders area but you would think since it's the weekend you would have two bartenders working that area. When it comes to the food, my wife's brisket Benedict was pretty solid nothing crazy but my meal was probably the worst one.... When I hear the words " anything scramble" i think of a bunch of ingredients mixed together as a scramble. This was more of just scrambled eggs with some fried avocados on top. These breakfast "potatoes" were also dissatisfying and flavorless. I've worked in the restaurant business and can tell you that I hated when people sent plates back so I'm not one to send my plates back and make complaints, but this one was very close to me breaking that personal rule. Personally I don't think I'll ever come back at least not for their breakfast hours.
