Biscuits Sandwich. Came with Bacon and crispy potatoes.

The food was amazing. However, the pancakes tasted burnt. We had to send them back but was surprised they would send them out like that. It also took a while to get them. I usually eat my eggs with my pancakes and they got cold while we waited for them. The replacement pancakes I took home. They were smaller, a few still burnt. They did not look like the pictures on yelp. The bacon was thick, and cooked perfectly (empty plate). The wait was one hour. They told us it would be 30 minutes, but was longer. Overall, the food looks fantastic. Decent location. Nice experience. The staff were friendly. Restrooms needed a little TLC.

I have no idea why I never wrote a Yelp review for Bacon & Butter because I have dined here at least a dozen time since I moved to Sacramento 10+ years ago. We used to always come in a group of 8-10 and someone always make reservation. I think back then they would take reservation for large parties. Not sure if they still do it now. So, I don't remember ever having to wait that long until.... Mother's Day! Yep, I know...I know...it was a badddd idea to come on Mother's Day and I will never make that mistake again if I can help it. My sweet son arrived at around 10:30 AM to put his name down on the list and was told we should be seated at around noon time. Great! I took my time and arrived at around 11:45 AM. Long story short, we didn't get seated until 1:15 PM. We were standing outside the entire time trying our best to stay in the shade. They were going to seat us outside in 85 degree afternoon heat. My son told him that he had put down for an inside table. The waiter was like you might have to wait another 10 minutes and I was about to lose it. The 5 of us squeezed in a booth that was meant for 4 people inside! We just wanted to eat and get it over with. Without a doubt, food is great and quality is consistent here but is it worth the ridiculous long wait??? Fortunately, the food came very quickly. Pear & Pecan French Toast is still my favorite. Brioche toast mixed with whipped cream and caramel sauce. It's the best breakfast dessert. If you prefer savory, I recommend the omelet for the huge portion. If you want both sweet and savory, definitely go with Chicken Waffle. If you (B&B) have read this far, I beg you to start taking reservations. You can have customers put credit card down to hold the reservation and charge $15-20 per person for no show!

Our waiter was very kind but was not as attentive as I'd hope when it comes to checking in on us. This place gets busy so it just seems like everyone's running around everywhere. As far as the food it was delicious. I was just disappointed because I asked for light cheese and it actually looks like they put extra LOL Overall, a new spot with good and free parking (what i love) but it gets pretty loud in there with how busy it gets. I prefer something more chill, me not having to raise my voice to talk across the table. Next time I'll take the food to go.

Food was mediocre for brunch, could have gone to other places for better food. They were very busy so long wait about 2 hours and when seated, staff took awhile to get to you or come back to check on you for refillsz

Tl;dr - for a simple breakfast that is high-quality and filling, B&B is my new go-to spot in Sacramento I was searching for places to take my mom for brunch before our Target run (off 65th), and I decided to stop at bacon and butter. It had been some time since I was last here, because I always feel unpleasantly full afterwards, so I tried a different approach. Honestly, I had a 5/5 experience. This time I built a simple breakfast, and didn't order a specialty item. I had scrambled eggs, a sausage patty, potatoes, a side biscuit, and bacon. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and garnished well. The potatoes were perfectly crisp and seasoned, and soft in the inside. Honestly, the potatoes may have been the star of the breakfast. The biscuit was delightfully soft, buttery, and fluffy. It was perfectly complimented by their house made butter, which I wanted to drink. The breakfast meats were great. I prefer the bacon over the sausage. The sausage was a little too herbaceous for my taste. The service was awesome. Everyone was delightfully pleasant. It's a cool ambience. It's pretty simple. It feels cozy and authentic. I know some people like the specialty items here, but they're a little too filling and rich for me, and I don't feel so great afterwards. That being said, I built a much simpler breakfast plan this time, and it was one of the better breakfasts I've had in Sacramento.

I visited on a Saturday morning and had to wait about 40 minutes but the wait was worth it! The food was so good, service was fast once inside, and our waiter was very friendly. I'll be back

One of the better brunch spots I've been to, really pretty presentation. Surprisingly a lot of vegetarian friendly alternatives / mods that can be made to the menu despite being called "bacon and butter". The grilled cheese Benedict had great textures, nice crisp on the grilled cheese and complemented well with creamy egg and hollandaise sauce. Egg was not overcooked. Grilled cheese could've been cheesier but they did use a sharp + smooth cheese combo. Potatoes were amazingly cooked, good crisp but fluffy inside Pear pecan French toast was niceeeee - flavors worked really well together and sauce had deeply infused pecan flavor. Also added actual pecan bits for crunch. Some pear pieces were slightly undercooked / still too waxy though

First of all the wait was worth it. We still didn't line about 30 minutes The food was amazing. Our server Jordan was on point. The atmosphere was nice and the food came fast, hot and ready and fresh. I will have to say this is gonna be one of my best breakfast spots so far will definitely be back. gotta give a shout out to the cooks well done well done the egg was perfect poached egg

Food was good though the feta cheese/squash on the omelette was a bit weird but the french toast was to die for for sure 2nd time coming back here a year apart and this is a place i'd come back to again, fairly busy but got us in quickly

Went on a Saturday so it was busy as always . Parking is hard to find but there is street parking nearby. We were told it would be 40 mins to an hour wait and it was okay. We had a toddler and asked for a high chair . Since they have limited high chairs and only available to seat high chairs outside we were not seated as soon as we could have . The food was good and we had a great server. I would recommend this restaurant just don't ask for a high chair when waiting in the queue to be seated The eggs were poached and runny Overall very good American breakfast spot!

    Chicken and waffles

Listen. I came for breakfast and left questioning everything I thought I knew about chicken and waffles. Hot honey butter on the waffle. Grilled pineapple. Jalapeños. The kind of combination that shouldn't work but absolutely does -- sweet, spicy, smoky, crispy, all at once. I took one bite and had to put the fork down to gather myself. And then they brought out the pancake and bacon infused shot. With actual bacon on a skewer. As a garnish. Like it's normal. Like that's just how breakfast goes here. Bacon & Butter, what are y'all doing over there. This is breakfast that takes itself seriously and doesn't take itself seriously at the same time. Creative, well-executed, and worth every minute of the drive from Hayward. I'll be back. Bring an appetite and your sense of humor.

We ordered the chicken and waffles along with the grilled cheese Benedict, and everything came out really good. The chicken and waffles were well cooked with a nice balance of sweet and savory, and the grilled cheese Benedict was rich and satisfying without being too heavy. Both dishes felt thoughtfully put together and enjoyable overall. A small but memorable detail was how the bill was presented in an old book--such a creative and clever way to repurpose something and add character to the experience. Overall, solid food and a unique touch that made the visit stand out.

Where do I begin? Let's start with the cons first to get that out of the way. Cons-Long wait time. (And for good reason!) Pros- The customer service was amazing. My husband and I went there last weekend for the second time. The first time we went we ordered a very basic breakfast. It was good enough. It was the Bloody Mary that made us return. Then we got adventurous and tried different food items and our lives changed! First let me say the Bloody Mary Mix is made in house. My husband order a Bloody Maria and I got the Virgin Bloody Mary. It was just as delicious as the first time. Fresh, flavorful and perfectly served in a mason jar. For food we ordered the omelette, grilled cheese Benedict and the pear and pecan French toast. YALL!!!!!! The food came out piping hot. When we saw it coming we missed the anticipation of "yay there's our food" because the gent was carrying what appeared to be a massive amount of food. Guess what? It was ours! The had we known the entrees would be so large we would have both ordered entrees....now the French toast, I would have ordered anyway! The hollandaise sauce was amazing and the egg was nice and runny. The omelette was fluffy. It wasn't packed with meat so if you like lots of meat you should order extra. The French toast was served with fresh whipped cream, and plenty of caramelized pears. No added syrup needed because it comes with its own syrup. I will go back to Bacon & Butter the next chance I get!

I recommend making reservation in advance. Weekend brunch can get busy. They have a small covered patio. I saw someone had a private bridal shower in the patio and thought that was such a cute idea. I love EVERYTHING here. My go-to is the deviled eggs. Can't go wrong with breakfast with eggs but you must try their pancakes and waffles. I think they rotate their menu periodically. For lunch/dinner, we like to order their pizzas and a salad. Simple but so good! They are a small local business. Go support them whenever you can.

Interior felt like you were dining in someone's home (in a good way!). And the food was tasty! We started off with the deviled eggs (no bacon) and they were perfect! I opted for the avocado toast which was on some delightful bread and had a fresh salad on top. The husband and mom both ordered the eggs benedict (husband went with salmon, mom went traditional) and they loved it! The husband doesn't even ordered eggs benedict normally and devoured it. Oh yeah, the mom also ordered a pizza once she saw the table behind us order it and we had a slice each but took most of it home. Was great! Overall, great brunch spot with excellent food. Come for the food, stay for the vibes.

It felt like we're in some amusement park, 5 minutes later we got a text that we had a table ready for us. Inside the restaurant felt very cozy yet rowdy (in a good way). We ordered their Famous French Toast, Eggs Tower, Thai Steak & Eggs, and the Madame Cristo. Everything in our meal was delicious, and hit in all the right places. Not to mention our server was holding it down for us providing outstanding service even while pregnant. Great restaurant, great food, great service. Definitely wanting to come back!

It's been years since I've been, mainly because of the long wait times and no reservations on weekends. As a planner, I gravitate toward places where I can make a reservation. However, it was a special occasion, so we committed to it on a holiday weekend. The wait was estimated at 1.5 hours for a party of 7, but it ended up being closer to 40 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad at all. The patio and waiting area are gorgeous and make the wait worth it on a beautiful day. Great shade from the trees, solid service, and a really nice ambiance overall. The menu is massive with a little bit of everything and huge portions, so it's quite hard to decide. I settled on the Madame Cristo because it sounded decadent and somewhere between lunch and breakfast, which felt perfect for brunch. And decadent it was. The cheesy ham and béchamel blended into this super rich, fatty bite balanced by the French toast it was sandwiched between. The eggs on top were almost overkill, but still a welcome addition for some protein. The chipotle raspberry jam was surprisingly good too, almost like a smoky raspberry salsa that added sweetness and helped cut through some of the richness. The potatoes were standard and nothing to write home about. It was definitely a lot, but pretty good and exactly what you expect from a brunch spot like this. I'm not going to say the food is mind-blowing, but it's solid and they have unique dishes, great vibes, and something for everyone to enjoy. Nice to see that Tower Cafe is still doing well after all these years and remains a great place to celebrate special occasions.
