Deshaun is our server for the second time and Im excited to see him again!! Such a great vibe and customer service. He is attentive and always checks on us!! Love this place and always have a great time here. Food is always good! Drinks are strong. Loveeee! Sit outside for a for a good ourdoorsy brunch.
5/23/26 I'm so behind yikes ! Let's get into it with this review . In town with Family and Had a table of 9 . Service was excellent and we came in kind of last min and at a busy time but they were able to seat us within 5 min. We had kids at 1 table and adults right next to them, it was great . Brooke W. Was our waitress and was Excellent taking care of us all and kiddos . She was on top of everything and fast . I had The fish and chips and was delicious. We also had some tater tots , cousin had chicken and waffles , and forgot who had Ham and cheese with tomato soup. Tried a little of everything and was excellent. This was my 2nd time here and really enjoy the variety of food and service is excellent. Will definitely be back again . Enjoy !!!!
Entrance to this restaurant is very beautiful and trendy . Upon arriving at the restaurant we were greeted and seated within minutes. Our server was helpful and insightful for assisting in selecting the best entrees to our taste buds. The meal arrived within 12 minutes. Not only was the food fresh and hot, but it was also super tasty & delicious. I could write all day about this, but to summon it up in one sentence, the flavor just melted and exploded in my mouth with every bite. As mentioned before the food is excellent, however, it may not satisfy bigger appetites. Soup & salad is not included with the entrées. * Please note if you attended the community center play you can get 10% off your meal if you show your tickets.
Have been here now several times with friends and family, and it is a solid choice for brunch or lunch. They have a great menu, lots of seating inside, and a super cute outdoor seating area. It does get busy here, there have been times when my friends and I couldn't get a reservation on the weekends. The food is tasty and the service is good. I really like their waffles and bacon, however once I had undercooked pancakes here but they were able to remake them. I recommend coming and trying them out at least once!
Was in Sac for a concert and stopped by Cafeteria 15L for their happy hour. The place is huge with outdoor and indoor seating. The happy hour prices were reasonable and had so many great options. Can't say for certain about the parking situation because it was a close walk from our hotel. We ordered 2 mocktails, the watermelon sugar and basil berry fizz. Both drinks were super sugary and tart, which I ended up diluting with water. Still refreshing and tasty, but I think it was a bit overkill on sugar. For our mains, we tried the rigatoni bolognese, trio of fries, and chicken tenders. All food and drinks for under $50! The portions were massive, especially the trio of fries, which I was not expecting. The sweet potato fries were a bit soggy compared to the other 2, which were significantly crispier. The chicken tenders were ok and probably the least exciting thing we ordered haha. On the other hand, the bolognese was by far the standout! Flavorful, rich, creamy and the cheese pull from the pasta was to die for. Our server was super cool and patient with us, as it was our first time coming here. Totally recommend checking this place out with a group of friends to enjoy happy hour.
Really cute place with a large outdoor seating area right across from the capital lawn / park. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a pretty large indoor bar. Outdoor seating is a mix of tables and couch / lounge type seating. They have a large menu of salads, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. Service: service was good. Food came out pretty quick. Drinks: I got the berry lemonade mocktail and was surprised the mocktails were only $5.75! It was a bit too sweet for my liking though and I was trying to dilute it with water, but couldn't enough to allow me to finish the drink. Food: I got the western burger with fries. The burger was ok, but cooked well done when I ordered it medium. It came with a huge stack of shoestring fries which were good and addicting. My son got the kid's Mac and cheese. I didn't try it, but it was pretty large portion of mac and cheese and also came with a small portion of celery, grapes and a a cookie. My husband got the chicken and waffles and enjoyed it.
I recently had an amazing early lunch at Cafeteria 15L. One of the people I was going to be dining with chose this location because they knew I would have my dog with me and they have a very pet friendly patio here. I arrived a little early and it started sprinkling out of the blue. There was a woman waiting in front with a baby as well, so the staff was kind enough to open the doors a few minutes early and let us inside. The patio was large and mostly covered, which is a huge plus. It was well decorated and had a fresh, cozy vibe. There were three of us and we tried the Hot Honey Margarita's, French Dip, Western Burger and a Cobb Salad. The food was yummy and the servings are so big! We were all full for sure! After a nice tip it cost about $100 for lunch for the three of us and we all had a nice time. I love that they are dog friendly and I would definitely come here again, especially to try their Happy Hour!
It was a busy evening and we had excellent service. The watermelon heirloom salad was delicious although there was very little tomato. The prime rib was very thin cut, and the horseradish sauce was very light would not order this again. The rotisserie chicken salad was very basic would not order again. The chicken and waffles were absolutely delicious. The country gravy is not our thing, so it was on the side. The cinnamon butter that came with it made it extra delicious and the syrup was great too. The Seabass was absolutely terrible. It tasted like really overdone cod and the crab coating just tasted like burnt flour base crust. This was a severe disappointment. I ordered asparagus on the side which was cooked the way they did in the 1950s to a point of mush and what was another severe disappointment. The chocolate bomb was absolutely delicious. I have to say when I come again, I will stick to my usual Thai steak salad as it is always incredibly good and for the main course, I will probably order that chicken and waffles again too!
I was looking for a place for a team dinner of 10 and this so happened to be right in front of our hotel. We did not have reservations but we were able to be seated rather quickly. Our server was pleasant and answered all of the questions we had about the menu. Grilled cheese and tomato soup- 3/5 the tomato soup in the pictures looked a lot creamier than the one I received, mine was a bit watery. The grilled ham and cheese sandwich saved the meal. Overall my meal was ok. I liked that it came with either a side salad or fries and of course I opted for the fries. Overall, if you are visiting Sac this is a solid place to go for a decent meal
I have been here a few times and the food seems to disappoint a little. I enjoyed the tuna small bite and the French toast was pretty good. I really LOVED their drink menu. I had the seasonal pear beverage and was shocked at how good and refreshing it was. The front staff was a little snappy and wasn't concerned about being cordial or kind, but was only concerned if we had reservations. We tried to tell them that our party was there alread, and she said "oh someone is here? Do they have reservations " ... some proper restaurant etiquette would be nice. "Hi how are you" etc... The espresso martini wasn't the greatest, but I would def come back for bottomless mimosas . Already fed.
I was recently in Sacramento and had brunch with some friends at Cafeteria 15L. We sat outside on their patio, and it was such a beautiful day, so it was the perfect choice! Their patio area is really cute, and they have plenty of seating both outside and inside. The only downside was the service. It took us over 15 minutes just to place our drink order, and then it took a while for our drinks to come out. Since it was a warmer day, it would've been nice to have water on the table right away. I actually received my food before I even got my water or the drink I ordered, which was a little disappointing. The good thing is once we finally placed our food order, it came out really fast! I ordered the Mexican Skillet, which comes with eggs, chicken chorizo, onions, peppers, pepper jack cheese, guacamole, tater tots, and a tortilla. It was really good! The only thing I felt it was missing was salsa. I think having salsa on top or even on the side would have made this dish even better and added that extra flavor it needed. We also tried the Chicken and Waffles, which came with southern fried chicken, pork sausage country gravy, a Belgian waffle, pecan butter, and maple syrup. The waffle was delicious, and the pork sausage gravy had a really good flavor. The portion was also very generous. I was only able to eat about half of my meal. Overall, the food was good, and the restaurant itself is really cute. The patio is a great spot to sit, especially on a nice day. However, the service was the biggest downside of our visit. Even after finishing our food, it took a while for our server to check on us. After getting our check, we also waited quite a bit for our to go boxes and eventually decided to just ask for them at the front because we had been waiting so long. The restaurant wasn't packed, so I'm not sure if it was just an off day, but I do think it's something to keep in mind if you're coming here. If you're not in a rush and want to enjoy a slower brunch, it could be a nice spot. The food was good, but because of the service, I'm not sure if I would come back.
Alot of us were in town for a convention and so this place was very close. It seemed as though many of our attendees ended up eating here. I came in with a large group and considering how many of us there were, it was a rather seamless effort. The menu had many items and I couldn't make up my mind, so I went with the grilled cheese...no ham...and the tomato soup. Portions were large and so I only ate half of the sandwich. It was very flavorful and I enjoyed it. Will have to come back and try something else.
Conveniently located near the Capitol, this place has a great ambiance. It's a good spot for large parties or small groups. I've been here a couple of times and enjoyed both visits. The first time, I tried the shrimp scampi, and the second time, I tried their grilled ham and cheese with tomato soup - both were delicious and big portions! This spot features an industrial modern decor and good music playing in the background. They also have a full bar and an outdoor patio seating area. Another cool thing is the bathroom--the sink area is see-through and a must-see!

One of my favorite places for brunch. This place is usually busy since it's so popular and located across from the capitol. They have a decent menu and I love how many dishes they have for brunch. Service has always been great, I've never had a bad experience. There's a huge outdoor seating and it's great for big groups. Good usually comes out promptly so I've never had to wait too long even when it's busy. Pros: the portions are huge, I can easily share with another person and still have leftovers. I love their pancakes and French toast. Their lunch and dinner options are great too. Cons: parking can be hard to find (street parking). There's also parking garages near by. read more
Came here for a brunch gathering, and we enjoyed our time here. A solid time, and to be honest, the highlight may have been our waiter. He was awesome throughout and made sure we were happy throughout. I was hoping the food would match the level of our waiter, but it was just fine. I wouldn't go out of my way to say that the food was amazing. I got a shakshuka, and it was solid. I've had better before. Additionally, I ordered a Spicy Ahi Tuna Poke to share, and it was ok. It was very forgettable; I'd skip that. Overall, because of the attention we were shown, good experience. read more
I've been to Cafeteria 15L a few times now, so whenever I'm in town, I try to make it a habit to stop by. Breakfast usually isn't my favorite, but for this place, I'll gladly make an exception! The staff is always friendly, and I usually make a reservation just in case. The ambiance is relaxed, and the staff stays on top of everything without being overbearing. There's also a nice variety when it comes to both the food and drinks. This visit, I went with the Florentine Benedict, and it did not disappoint. The sauce was smooth and flavorful, and the poached egg was cooked perfectly. My drink was refreshing and definitely warranted during this heatwave! Another great visit to Cafeteria 15L. Came here using my Resy Credit through an American Express card. I've heard a lot about this restaurants from my friends as the new "go to" restaurant - although by now it's been there for quite a while. No complimentary parking, so be prepared to pay either street parking or 15 in their lot, as they do not validate parking. They give quite generous portions, and we got a bunch of tomato based dishes and tater tots as well lol. Highly recommend the truffle tater tots, cobb salad, and shakshuka! We got their after Christmas waffles, and they were just okay. I wouldn't get them again. They didn't taste special and the fruit on top made they pretty soggy. Also they didn't mention pistachios, which my friend is allergic, so we had to separate that out from the other food. read more

Cafeteria 15L was a pleasant surprise. We came in with no real expectations, maybe because the name reminded me of school lunches. The food, however, was executed extremely well. Nothing overly fancy, just thoughtfully prepared dishes done right. read more
In town for an early Christmas with family. Met up with friends to reconnect after more than a year at this comfortable downtown restaurant for breakfast. Although it was fairly busy we could still hear one another...a plus. I like the patio area however it was very cold and it would not be comfortable. We all ordered different breakfast items, which all came to the table around the same time. Our meals all arrive hot and for the most part well seasoned. Everyone seemed satisfied with their dishes. Having a group we were automatically charged 18 percent tip. read more
Went into Cafeteria 15L last Saturday night with my wife and some family. Ryan our waiter was very friendly and did a great job taking care of our table. Our food was Great!! The atmosphere was really nice and the place felt in with the times. Being able to see the opposite sex in the bathroom cause on the sink area only glass separates you which was kinda weird. read more
Our food was maybe a 6.5/10. The potatoes had so much garlic it really overtook everything else. Also the English muffin on the eggs Benedict is very very thin. That being said, if you opt for the bottomless mimosa, which you totally should, it's only $18 ,& they truly are bottomless. They will not let your cup get empty. It was great and beyond worth it. The atmosphere is great, it's clean with good vibes, & the customer service was great. Plan to go back and maybe just try something a bit different next time. Enjoy read more
FOOD: The food here was great! We got the Truffle Tater Tots to share and it was really good! It came with their house made ketchup which was good too. For my entree, I had the Cafeteria Burger which was cooked perfectly and was great! We also got bottomless mimosas which was worth it fur the price! SERVICE: Our server was very nice and attentive. He came around and refilled our mimosas very often and checked in on us. There was also another bartender who came and poured us refills and she was very friendly and joked around with us! AMBIANCE/DECOR: The restaurant is really nice! Big and spacious with a lot of seating! The bar area is big with a few TVs which was nice to watch the football game while dining. read more

Loved our time here. We enjoyed the seating selection and open feel to the restaurant. We were seated fast but took about 15 mins to get our order taken. Besides that the service was nice and the food was very tasty! The portion sizes were good for the prices and omg the cheesecake is to die for. It's been a long while since I've been here and the food is STILL some of the best in Sacramento!! LOCATION & DECOR: Corner of 15th St and L St hence the name. Modern, urban industrial with a hint of resort. FOOD & DRINK: -coconut shrimp is listed as a small plate, but that was a full meal for a 200 lb man who couldn't finish it even when shared. And my God was it delicious!! -French dip was a win with the bangin' mixed green salad that accompanied it. Don't know what dressing was on it, but it was excellent. PRICE: $$ - $15 Small plate Coconut shrimp - $20+ French dip - $4 Berry Lemonade SWAG/AMENITIES: -outdoor patio -bathrooms looking glass -bar seating -booth seating STAFF & EXPERIENCE: Came here on a Friday, midday and there was no wait as this place as it doesn't seem to be busy outside of brunch hours. Was seated and told delivered within 30 min of walking through the door. My beloved had a fun time with the looking glass in the bathroom since it was her first time there. A bit startled at first. Lol. Service was smooth quite smooth and friendly. Noise level was modest and the restaurant was clean at every turn. Truly a place I feel good recommending to anyone visiting. read more
We made a reservation through Resy, but since we arrived early, the staff was able to accommodate us without any issue. The restaurant is very big, and at the time of our visit it wasn't busy, so the atmosphere felt pretty relaxed. For food, we ordered from the kid's menu -- cheesy eggs with tater tots -- and also tried the Cafeteria 15L. The service was smooth and the dishes came out fairly quickly. As for the taste, everything was decent, though I found the food to be on the salty side. The flavors were straightforward and nothing really stood out as memorable. Love the private function space at the back. It was a fantastic get together area with adequate seats/couches, standing room is great to socialize and meet. The stage is at the middle of the room and sound system is great. We had a great open bar and the finger food were soectacular! read more
Love this place! Such a fantastic space both inside and outside. We come here for Saturday/Sunday brunch when the weather is warm and you can dine in the very large outdoor covered patio area, and we are always well taken care of by our server. The food for brunch is excellent, as is the overall vibe of the place. I gotta say every time i come to this place with coworkers, it's always a great time. I love their Rigatoni Bolognese and Shrimp Scampi. They have great Brussels Sprouts and their Ice tea is high quality. The service is always the best here with really attentive servers. The ambiance inside is great. Not too loud and not too quiet. Just the perfect amount of noise and great aesthetic inside with a mixture of tables and booths. They have plenty of seating and the also have an outside patio. Had a delicious brunch on a Sunday at 11:00am and was surprised at how quick the service was and how quickly our food came out! Our waiter was very nice and everything tasted very fresh! The side of potatoes we ordered was perfectly crispy and we had a wonderful time sitting on the patio. read more

Is it counter service? If not, can a table of 14 guests split the check?
It's table service. I doubt they will split it 14 ways. Also, I think they automatically add 18 or 20% gratuity for groups of 6 or more.
How many people will your private room accommodate? I'm looking for a place for a retirement lunch in June on a Saturday or a Sunday.

They sure do! They constantly refill and after we paid our tab and sat, he continued to refill. (We tipped him twice)

Yes they have a pretty big patio area that is open. :) We eat there this past Tuesday.

It is great. Better than any of the fast food impossible burgers. Highly recommend.

Club music usually starts around 9:30pm-10pm depending on whether the venue is holding a private event. The genre of music is top 40, pop, and mainstream edm.
