Service is always on point. Early burs specials are one-of the best in town and just the right amount of food that will leave you satisfied and not sleepy I cant say enough good things about this place!

Came here on Labor Day Monday with a group of seven, and we had such a great experience. The service was prompt, the wait time was short, and everything came out fresh and hot. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was amazing - perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The mango mimosa was an even better addition, and honestly, I'd come back just for that. Every main dish also came with a side of fluffy pancakes, which were spot-on and made the meal feel complete. Now, I'll say the aesthetic isn't the fanciest, but that's not what you come here for. You come here for the service and the food, and they absolutely delivered on both. One detail that really stood out: my niece wanted a gumball from the machine by the register, and I didn't have a quarter. The young man at the register was kind enough to hand her one - such a small gesture, but it really showed how welcoming and family-friendly this spot is. Safe to say we left a good tip, and we'll definitely be back.

I'm from out of town and have been here twice - once during the weekend (when there's a wait time) and once during the weekday (around 8am when there was plenty of seating. This place is the perfect breakfast spot. Big portions, tasty food, great service. This is also a great place for brunch with PLENTY of mimosa offerings. There's lots of places to sit but again during the weekend it gets busy but thankfully it is attached to a parking lot. All in all come here for good ol' diner food! PS: special shout out to their huge pancakes and their hollandaise sauce!

Amazing amazing amazing! What an amazing brunch we had today at Hot Off the Griddle. Heather was super attentive to us. We ordered the California and the Southwestern omelettes. The hashbrowns and biscuit were delicious. The service was quick and the food was hot and delicious. It gives family dining. Like everyone is a regular! Loved it. 9/10

Had the pleasure of having breakfast here at Hot Off the Griddle. Our server was so nice and down to earth. We were greeted and were given water and menu. Let me say first , the portions are very very generous here. You will walk out full. I ordered an Eggs Benedict and wow, it was huge for breakfast. But I gobbled it all, well most of it lol. The eggs were cooked perfectly, nice a yolky as they should. The ham was thick. So very good. My potato bits were seasoned nicely and the dish had a side of fruits which was just the topper. I was very satisfied after my meal and with the service. Will have to come back when I'm in Sacramento. Plenty of seating inside and has a pretty chill vibe. There wasn't any loud music of that sort. It was pleasant eating breakfast here.

Solid breakfast place up north. I always seek a new spot to try on my early days, so this was perfect. In my opinion, this place is good, not great. My corned beef and hash was definitely not standard or the store bought variety, but it was slow cooked for 6 hrs and I appreciated that. The potatoes were well seasoned, but I prefer them to be crispier. Eggs are eggs. I always opt for an extra egg for the protein and to balance out the meal better. The biscuit was definitely made in house, but was a little dry for my taste. It was still palatable. They have a nice menu and place seemed pretty packed for a Wednesday late morning. The service is simple and quick. They have a very large counter area that I sat at and really liked. You have quite a bit of space. I took a video for you guys to appreciate the vibe. It's pretty straightforward, The food is definitely a little elevated, but not "knock your socks" off great, but that's okay. I think this is a great option for breakfast for Natomas natives or people nearby. Rec'd: corned beef hash, HOTG Benedict, and the chicken friend steak

First time in.... Friendly service with a smile at 7:30am. Place was already hopping, which bodes well for it being a legit find. Menu had some really nice breakfast options with all the basics; eggs, meats, pancakes, waffles, omelettes, Benedict's, scrambles, and of course biscuits and gravy!!! Another nice feature is the ability to order a larger portion (XL plates) down to small portions. Basic strip mall type interior that's kept clean and well ventilated, which is super important given the amount of cooking going on in the kitchen! Coffee black this visit, so can't comment on any of the juices or other mixed drinks. Lots of mimosas and cocktails with a small beer and wine list available if that's your breakfast thing! Since it's my first visit I had to go with biscuits and gravy w/scrambled eggs and sausage links. Biscuits are good sized and just the right mix of fluffy/consisntecy. I'm not a fan of dense biscuits, nor do I like them too fluffy. These hit the mark! Bacon based gravy, not the traditional sausage so it hits a little different, and is really good! Two eggs scrambled really seemed like four.... So perfect!! Sausage links were also decent sized and perfect for cutting into 6 slices each to enjoy with epic bites of BnG and egg. All in all... they earned this high rating on the first visit! If I make it back I'll provide an update, if warranted!!!

    Biscuits and gravy 16.99

Very expensive. Has a lot of options but missing like one thing and when you look at add ons they have a ridiculous price. The waitress was cool but not so much the host. Ambiance is like eating at the nail shop. Carpets ? Why? Food was mediocre. Biscuits were mush. The biscuits were big but the other portions were shady. My meal was 16.99! For biscuits and gravy like wtf. Had to try it but I won't be coming back. 2/10 .music was alright. Good mix of color. I dreaded it would be all white people. Prayed for brown people. So that was a plus even to see that the food wasn't seasoned right. Service was poop. No refills or check up. Go to 49er people stop coming here plz

Food was good! Bridget was super helpful and we had just missed the morning rush. Lots of options at this place, and everything looked and smelled yummy. Will definitely be back to try some other things. Didn't even take a picture before we dug in haha!

I love the music they put! I got the hot links breakfast and it was the best! I'm not from Sacramento but I love going here for breakfast when I'm in town.

Food & Service Food's always great here so is the service today. I had food to go and let's just say this : I ate some put in the microwave ate some a little bit later and there's still ton left. Don't come here if you're not gonna eat a big amount or you don't want leftovers be prepared to have a huge portion. I'm glad that this location is where it's at. It's nice to have something in South Natomas with a few other places over here. The potatoes is what I was craving and was perfect Have you tried the gravy? You should! Hubby got the loaded burrito it was huge. It seems to always be packed here, but seems good. It would OK with my mom. I've always been able to get a seat. Normal level of sound & nice big windows

11/25 - Chili & Cheese Omelette...great spice in this chili!!
    Nonie B.

First a big thank you to the hosts and Bridgett, our server. So friendly!! I had the chili & cheese omelette. It was spiced deliciously!! Best chili & cheese omelette I've ever had! My guest had the hangover burrito and said it was loaded with flavor. Would definitely recommend this place!!

This place is awesome! I think they are better than pancake house and give better value than crepe city and gives the bear a run for its money! The drinks are not cheap. $4.99 for hot chocolate. But there is one refill! Also the kids menu is the best value. Less than $10 for French toast, sausage, bacon, and egg. That's a lot! The regular bacon breakfast comes with everything! Including potatoes! And it's a lot of potatoes. It's packed but not out the door on a Saturday morning. And there are plenty of seating. Event is here. All ages and from every corner of the city! I definitely recommend it and will come back with the fam!

Are you still offering outside dining? If yes, when is the best time to come to guarantee a seat outside? Thanks!

No small place, don't see we one would seat out side

Do they serve bacon alternative like turkey bacon, etc?

Why don't the waiters wear masks?

    They do wear masks

Are they open for outside dining these days?

Absolutely. We have plenty of outdoor seating!

Does HOTG have a catering option?

Yes, they do catering and host events as well

    Can you order to go?

    Always!

Do they make a thanksgiving sandwich?

Not this year Zach. We couldn't get the smoker going because of the rain this year so no Turkey. Just our normal house made Turkey breast for our sandwiches.

What is the noise level here and is the piped in music bothersome?

Low, I get there when they open and I have not heard any piped in music.

Can get busy We had: Good Neighbor Chop Salad (5/5): This was what a composed salad should be. It ate like a real dish, not a side project. Creamy avocado, sweet dates, tangy goat cheese, and a pear vinaigrette brought everything together without drowning it. The cornbread croutons stole the show. Crisp, buttery, and loaded with flavor, they added the texture most salads are missing. The meat was cooked properly and gave that subtle reminder this place understands BBQ Steak Frites (5/5): Straightforward, done right. The hanger steak was cooked with precision, with a proper sear and clean beef flavor that didn't need to hide behind sauce. You could tell they respected the product. The peppercorn sauce supported without taking over, and the fries were crisp with just enough softness inside to keep things balanced. It was simple food executed at a high level, which is exactly why it worked

This one man came in and let me tell you, he brought a party with him and partied the entire time. He as about in his 50s and he danced by himself, he danced with the young and the older. He was a whole entire VIBE. We purchased a table for 4 and paid $100 in advance. We were happily surprised to see that when we arrived we received a complimentary champagne and juice for mimosas! Ok so that's the good stuff. Here is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We paid in advance for a table howevor, they let the people in first who did not have a ticket or a table, so we and others with tables had to wait until they paid and went in first. That defeats the purpose, in my opinion, of paying in advance. I hope they consider to allow advance payees in first. I mean coupled with the champagne, that would make it a complete VIP experience. The service. They had one young lady on the floor and she was stretched thin. She came to our table and took the order of our 2 friends and walked away. She did not take my and my daughters order. I was like what the heck. She walked to the next 2 tables, who had already had their food and took their drink orders. When I got her attention she was like "I know" and then walked to a third table before coming back to our table. I was flabbergasted to say the least. If they did not automatically put a 20% service fee on the bill, please beleive she would have received a lesser tip for that. I dont know if they were short staffed or what, but that was crazy. Please know your credit card will be required to open a tab. They put a 20% service fee on the bill. There is a $200 minimum spend for each table. Leading with that i will add, the minimum spend would not be a problem except, if you don't drink you are stuck with ordering multiple plates of food. I ended up ordering the fried chicken (3 large wings) and a French toast plate. I dont drink beyond mimosa and they do not offer any non alcoholic options aside from juice...at least from what I saw on the menu. The food... Omg, the fried chicken was lukewarm and had no seasoning on it. We doused it in hot sauce, that is how bland it was. The French toast, while pretty, was cold so I did not eat it. The eggs and potatoes were hot and sufficient. No one at our table finished the chicken. The catfish was good and perfectly seasoned. I wish they had seasoned the chicken the way they seasoned the fish. The table next to us did not finish their fish and grits. The lady told me the grits were subpar. Another lady did not eat her breakfast burrito. One person at our table spoke to someone about the bad service we received and they adjusted our bill so we were not required to meet the $200 table minimum. So that was a good save. Overall I would give 5 stars for the vibe. Music. Complimentary champagne. 1 star for the food. I hope they consider revamping their menu and marinating the chicken overnight in some good spices and frying it to order, even if folks have to wait a bit longer. Lukewarm unseasoned chicken for $15 was disappointing. Would i come again, absolutely. I would eat beforehand and not get a table so I dont have to spend $200. I would drink mimosas and party. I do recommend going because despite the food, the party is a VIBE!
