There are only 2 benches inside, but there are outdoor tables with umbrellas in front. The decor has garden touches. The owner was friendly as a staffer worked on our order. Our eats-- Chicken BLT--warm sandwich with flavorful, moist chicken, delicious substantial bacon with great texture, fresh veg, cheese, & a savory chipotle aioli Chimichurri Cold Cut--cold sandwich with thin, tender steak, herbaceous chimichurri, really garlicky aioli, fresh arugula & tomatoes, & crispy onions for a nice crunch texture The mister was right, so right. Disappointing experience. I ordered a breakfast burrito to go, and the employee had a rude attitude from the start. After I paid with cash, he continued preparing food with the same gloves he used to handle my money and the register. When I politely asked if he was going to change them, he replied, "This one isn't for you," before finally switching gloves. When my order was ready, other to-go orders were bagged with napkins, but mine was left on the counter. When I reached for a bag, he told me, "It's good, it's fine," with an attitude. The breakfast burrito had eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, cheese, and fajita veggies in a grilled flour tortilla. It was very good, and well prepared. It rivaled breakfast burritos I've had from good restaurants. What really set it off, is that it was grilled, and served with homemade green salsa. My friend had their grilled cheese, and recommends it as well. Staff was friendly, and they have a nice patio outside with tables, and chairs. Now I'm only reviewing one item and the service I received here today. Which was awesome by the way. My friend came in to buy a breakfast burrito and decided to share half with me today. We asked the chef to cut it in half for us because we were sharing, and they cut it and gave us separate sauces. We pass by this location a lot but I haven't had a chance to try it. My friend betrayed me one day, and she tried this spot without me. Good thing she did because this burrito was delicious . It's hard to get us to try new places sometimes. This place is tucked in between other businesses in a small building in the heart of Downtown Sacramento. It is a cute shop that sells breakfast and lunch items as well as some drip coffee. You order at the counter and wait off to the side until they make your order. You can watch them as they put together your food, too! I decided to go in and try one of their sandwiches, the chicken BLT. When I went in I was immediately greeted by the worker while also helping other customers at the counter. It is a very small shop, so I can imagine it getting crazy during lunch hour. I did come in at 12:30pm, so I was a bit surprised there weren't more people. I watched him make my sandwich and he put a lot of care into the whole process. The chicken BLT was so delicious. It came on a toasted rosemary bread, hickory bacon, and the chicken was still juicy. Each bite had so many flavor profiles. The chicken was well seasoned and the bacon was so good. And for the downtown prices, the sandwich was rather large! I had their breakfast burrito as well on a different day and that was also good. But the BLT definitely made me a fan of this shop. I am excited to try their other menu items. I will say be prepared to wait a bit if there's a lot of people. The worker who made my sandwich was the only one working at the time and he was not only making the food, but also handling the register and answering the phone without even breaking a sweat. Really great spot for a quick bite to eat near the Capitol building. Plenty of healthy options and portions are great. We had the fajita salad and the chicken gyro bowl. Both were delicious! I looked up this place in search of a breakfast burrito. It's right across the street from the north side of the Capitol. It's a tiny spot but huge in flavor and kindness. First of all, there is only one gentleman running the place. He greets you, takes your order, prepares the meal and completes your transaction, all in calm but focused motions. Impressive. As I waited for my breakfast burrito, an older woman walked in with her belongings, asked for a cup of coffee but informed our cook she had no money but would pay him later. Without missing a beat, our cook gestured her to go on ahead. I found this quiet exchange very moving because it revealed not only our cook's kindness, but doing it in a way to respect this woman's dignity. So yes!
