Smoke bacon plate. My husband gets this every time.

Our family only eats out for breakfast when it's at Napolitos. I wish I could give the food and staff more than 5 stars. Everything they make is superb.

Nice little hole in the wall place. The staff was friendly. We got Philly cheesesteak plate and enchiladas. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious. It was on focaccia bread the seasoning the veggies everything was delicious definitely recommend and 10 out of 10. I was excited about the enchiladas because I get enchiladas almost every where I go The enchiladas were OK they were not my favorite. I definitely want to be ordering them again. I was expecting rice with it but it different because it was couscous but it was still good. I'd definitely come back for the Philly cheesesteak

Chile Colorado w/ two scrambled eggs. The photo is deceiving.
    Cynthia G.

Chile Colorado with fried potatoes and two scrambled eggs. I liked the flavor, but there was very little beef on my plate. And only two tablespoons of potatoes. Mostly chile sauce. I loved the two flour tortillas. In my opinion it was overpriced ($17.25) for the food. I won't return because I don't like restaurants that overpriced dishes. I would be embarrassed if I were the owner. PS. The gentleman that took my order was very pleasant!

I tried the chorizo burrito and it was absolutely delicious! It was packed with flavorful in-house chorizo, scrambled eggs, grilled bell peppers, and onions -- all perfectly balanced and not greasy at all. Every bite was full of flavor. I also loved that they have a salsa bar, which really lets you customize your meal. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a must-try spot in Sacramento -- highly recommend

Chille verde (spicy pork) burrito - the best burrito here

This is just a place that just hits the spot. If you enjoy a warm, cozy Mexican food, this is the move. I've been here a few times, but have not taken any photos as I was very early in my culinary journey. I recall having the chili verde, the cactus special, and the polenta. It was spectacular. You know it's good, when you bring friends here, and they ask "how I've ever never been to this place? The service is quick. Beware, it is cash only. You order at the counter. The gentleman there is very friendly. The food here is like a warm hug. It is using oozing with flavor. Honestly, the breakfast burrito I had today is probably the best breakfast burrito I've had in Sacramento. The pork was super tender and well flavored. There was a great balance of eggs in the burrito as well. Sometimes, I feel like places short you on the eggs. If anything, there was maybe too much egg. However, as someone who is looking out for their protein intake on a daily basis, I was not complaining. The tortilla held up very well. I liked that potatoes were well seasoned and soft. In the back, there are various sauces that you could add. While, I thought the red sauce was fantastic. This burrito did not need any addition.

My husband and I decided to check out Nopalitos, Boy were we glad we did! The service is impeccable. The inside is clean and has happy healthy, huge plants rather than fake plastic ones. We sat outside while enjoying every morsel of our delicious orders. We are looking forward to a return visit soon!

Little Cactus Special 1/2 and 1/2

Love supporting local, Latino-owned businesses -- and this little café does not disappoint! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. Highly recommend trying the Little Cactus Special with the 1/2 and 1/2 sauce -- it's the perfect combo of flavor and heat. Everything feels homemade and made with love. Also great news -- they now accept cards! Definitely worth a visit (or two!).

Was told locals especially in the east Sacramento area love to frequent here. Right off the bat, shout out to the staff for being so nice and accommodating as I didn't know they have a break and separate lunch menu as my objective was to try some pancakes! It's nice inside even though small with lots of seating inside and outside. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious! The chorizo burrito was flavorful and super filling! Definitely recommend the burrito with their house salsa at their salsa bar! Overall, highly recommend.

Hands-down, one of the best family owned Mexican restaurants in the East area. Everything is made from the fresh ingredients and they have wonderful daily specials. Small quaint restaurant with plenty of parking and outdoor seating. The owner takes very good care of customers and always make sure that everything is served to perfection.

Cactus plate, chorizo breakfast burrito, and machaca breakfast burrito

My boyfriend finally took me to Nopalitos on a Saturday and I was shocked how popular it was. It was my first time seeing this restaurant after living in sacramento my whole life. Definitely a secret gem! You order first and then find open seating. Luckily with it being packed, we were able to sit right after ordering. The staff is very friendly and sweet! Reminder that this place is cash only!! Our food came out shortly. My boyfriend wanted me to try the little cactus plate and ordered himself the machaca and chorizo breakfast burrito. Why have one when you can have two? The cactus plate was very yummy! I've had cactus before so it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for me. The flavors and textures really went well with one another. Out of the burritos the machaca was our favorite. The meat was tender and flavorful. This is the first breakfast burrito where I felt it was different than your typical breakfast burrito. I highly recommend you try! It was really delicious. I'd definitely come again! The food and service is amazing. This place gives you comfy and homey vibes.

Let's cut to the chase, their breakfast burrito is the best! I've been searching for the best breakfast burrito in Sacramento for a while . I've been here about five different times and have only ever ordered the breakfast burrito. After trying multiple meats, I'd recommend getting the chorizo as the meat and adding cheese. I feel as though the bacon made the burrito a bit too salty, but the chorizo was just perfect Potatoes are not too crispy but it does not affect the flavor profile negatively. You might be able to tell this is more of a burrito review rather than a full restaurant review. If you want a burrito, you have my word that you're going to have a good time. If you're ordering literally anything else, you'll have to figure that out for yourself

Very quaint friendly cash only diner. Order st counter and they bring to table. Staff is nice and attentive. Salsa bar is small but boast some good flavors. Coffee is excellent I love their chili verde and have only tried either to plate or burrito. Cheese and sour cream Optional. Solid food choices great service and clean restaurant. Outdoor seating available

Tamale Ina bowl with chili Colorado
    Traci N.

Service: CASH ONLY but what a great establishment in East Sacramento that is family run. Walk in order then find seating. It is located in a tiny shopping area so parking is tight and seating is tight inside and outside. Food: OUTSTANDING! We had chilaquiles salsa verde with house chorizo added and tamale in a bowl with chili Colorado with either fresh corn or flour tortilla. Ambiance: old Spanish style.

Not going to lie, but I used to work here when they first opened in 2009 and I would never get tired of eating the meatball pan or the green tea melon pan during my break. After all these years, I would have a craving from time to time so I always return and say hello to the owner. Besides, they make a lovely goodie box for a party and I always throw in a bag of dinner rolls because the quality of their bread is so soft and delicious. I've since moved out of state, but during my last visit in January this year, the treats and drinks were just as delicious as I remembered. This was always one of my favorite spots to spend a few hours catching up with girlfriends over tea and pastries. The ambience is lovely and gives off fancy tea party vibes, making it perfect for casual conversations, book discussions, or just relaxing with something sweet. My personal favorites are the rose macaron and the mont blanc desserts. If I'm feeling hungry, I usually order the ratatouille, and the vanilla bean French toast is amazing when I want something sweet but filling. Matcha is always my go-to drink here too (though it's on the sweet side, so I don't think it's ceremonial grade). I remember my first visit; It was when I stopped by later in the day looking for a birthday cake for my son's 8th birthday about five years ago. I ended up choosing their chocolate mousse cake on a whim since it was one of the cakes they still had on display, and it turned out to be a good decision. My son loved it, but it was too chocolatey for me so he ended up having most of the cake. Still one of the memories I remember most from here. It was something I kept in mind that if I wanted more options and variety, I should arrive earlier in the day. There are a few downsides that keep this from being a full 5 stars for me though. The parking lot is very small and street parking can be difficult, especially during busy hours. The place gets crowded very easily, which is why I usually preferred walking there when I lived nearby. There's often a guard stationed at the front kindly holding the door open, though I imagine that's also due to the neighborhood. Pricing is definitely on the expensive side, but honestly that's fairly expected with a patisserie. My biggest issue is that service can noticeably decline when they're overwhelmed. Depending on when you visit, the line can get absurdly long (almost out the front door), and I've experienced slower service and even had my drink mixed up with another customer's order once. Since I order oat milk due to lactose intolerance, getting the order correct is pretty important. Thankfully, when the bakery isn't overly busy and adequately staffed, the employees are attentive, friendly, and very helpful with the ordering process if you have questions. It is still one of the Sacramento bakeries I miss after moving away. It was so lovely to have a bakery down the street from home.

I got the matcha croissant ive been hearing about, the new blueberry cream croissant and the mango passionfruit entremet. The Croissants were a huge flop. Blueberry had barely enough filling inside-the cream itself was tasty but croissant was rough in texture and not flaky. Matcha was a bit more flaky and had more filling-I wouldn't say GENEROUS amount as some have said but maybe I just got a bad one. The cream was too subtle -it was more like vanilla with a hint of matcha. The entremet was the only one that didnt suck-it was delicious but again I wouldn't say anywhere in Sacramento has wowed me yet with their entremets compared to places in the bay except for the ones that ginger Elizabeth has had in the past-the flavor itself was on point, i will say the texture of the entremets have a majority layer of the jelly part-if they could perfect the variety of layers you're supposed to get in each bite I would be more impressed as thats the whole point of enjoying an entremet. Honestly I should have just gotten one pastry to try in one day as they are pricey-i paid 31 not including the tip fot my pastries, and in this economy one cannot waste that much on disappointing sweet treats lol

The biscuit sandwiches were pretty good but since the biscuits are so thick, it's a bit hard to eat as a sandwich. I basically just ate mine without the top half and then ate the top half separately after, with the delicious strawberry butter that I added to my order. If I could round up to 4.5 stars, I would, for that strawberry butter! The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because although they were good sandwiches, I wouldn't say it was anything too unique, especially at $13 for the most expensive sandwich (with andouille sausage) and $10 for the cheapest (egg and cheese). I wish I had gotten the chance to try the brown sugar biscuit because we only had plain and blueberry for ours, which seem to be more obtainable at other places.
