This bakery is one of the best bakeries in South Sacramento. They offer different kinds of savory buns and sweet buns. They also offer various dishes that you can enjoy while dining in. Their cakes are delicious and customizable. I requested a Rilakkuma themed cake and they were able to come up with a cute design. Overall this bakery is a must try when in the South Sacramento area.
Pegasus has really good freshly baked buns both savory and sweets! There's lots of options to choose from. They also have actual meals if you want something more filling. I got the 3 flavored custard bun, pineapple bun, and hotdog bun, as well as Hong Kong milk tea. Very affordable for the amount and quality you get. There's plenty of seating you want to do some work! Came here on a busy Saturday. Since it's in a busy plaza, parking can be tricky!
This place is cute. It had a lot of different pastry options, both sweet and savory. The bakery had a lot of fresh cake options. You can purchase from behind the counter as well. There was also even an ice cream offered. I was surprised to see that. It offered a lot of traditional Asian type pastries, like egg tart, taro buns things like that. I got several things to try. They were all delicious. The parking for the parking lot is very busy. It was tough to find a space, but that's OK. It was worth it. There's seating inside or you can sit outside. I chose to sit outside because it was a nice day. I really like that when you go in you grab a tray and a pair of tongs and you can put whatever you want to purchase on your tray or you can bag it freshly to take home to eat later. My fiancée and I visited today to get 2 roll cake slices for her mom and we were all disappointed when we delivered it to her, see attached photo. I'm assuming the staff forgot to peel off the stickers before putting in it the bag, but now I know Pegasus sell things past expiration. The dates listed on the stickers are 6/20, 6/27, 7/4 and 7/11. Today is 7/12! How is it ethical to keep crossing out the dates and selling baked goods that's from A MONTH ago? Shame on me for being in such a rush and didn't see it before walking out. What a waste of money, but better to throw it out than to get sick.
I was in the shopping center eating a sandwich and was kinda thirsty so I stumbled upon this place and I was like let me get something to drink. Once I walked in, I was kinda of shocked on how big the place was and how nice everything looked inside. They have a lot of items that suit different needs. All the pastries look delicious too bad I couldn't have any cause I had just ate. The two ladies at the front counter were very nice and explained the difference between the drinks. I asked them about. My drink of choice was a Hong Kong milk tea. It tasted amazing. The only bad thing was that I asked for Boba but they didn't end up putting in it. Oh well I'll try it next time. They have a very big lobby inside. I could only imagine how busy it gets on the weekend.
You're not going to get the best baked goods you've ever tried from Pegasus, but it's average to good. I've stopped in every so often, but I don't love it enough to be a regular. I recently tried the following: Taro Bun, Ham & Egg Bun, BBQ Pork Bun, Red Bean Bun, Custard Bun, and Corn & Ham Cheese Bun. Some things are better than others...I personally enjoy the Taro Bun; it has the "Pineapple" top. They have a good range of options, both sweet and savory. Stop by if you're in the area, but it's not a destination imo.
Cantonese bakery that offers breakfast. Let's go. Plenty of parking outside and plenty of sitting inside. Waitress was super polite which I am not used to. I ordered the pork and century egg porridge with Chinese donut. It was just ok. Hubby got the club sandwich. It was so much food, we took half of it to go and had it for lunch. We also ordered some pastries to go. I thought they were par.
Once in a while I'll go buy bakery from this place and this hasn't happened before, but last week my husband and I decided to stop by to grab my daughter some taro buns. They had to make it fresh since we went late and they were out. Two days later my daughter finally took one to work and ate it. She called me that there's a plastic thing inside the taro fillings. When she got home and showed me, it was actually a metal piece in there (the metal sponge that you would use to clean stove or pots). We were scared to eat the other ones, but two days ago I decided to eat one and there's a metal piece in the fillings again so I tossed it. I still have 2 left and scared to eat it now. I did contact the bakery right away and text them the photo. They were pretty nice and said they will refund me back. But I just want to warn everyone to be careful when eating it.

Most of their baked goods are reasonably priced, but none are such good value as their roll cakes and egg tarts. Those are always the perfect level of sweet, flaky, and buttery - I really enjoy how their buttercream tastes like BUTTER instead of just sugar. The inside of the bakery is simple and clean, with the classic self-service tongs and trays that you see in most Asian bakeries. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and will sometimes give tips for maximizing their reward points or free samples. I've never had anything I didn't like from here!

Ordered the panda coconut 8in cake. Decorations were nice, but unfortunately, we could not taste any panda flavor in the cake itself. Cake was also kind of dry, not as moist as it should have been. Cake definitely fell short of expectations. It was very expensive too! $55 for an 8in Cake. I'm so disappointed that T&T Bakery closed down, they were by far the best Asian Cake bakery ever! Such a disappointment that I forgot to take pictures of the inside of the cake itself. Filing was ok. Not the best, just okay.

The employees aren't rude, but they don't seem super enthusiastic either. Most of the pastries I've tried are just alright, nothing really stands out. They're priced about the same as 85°C Bakery for reference. I thought I'd give their cake a try. Honestly, it was pretty disappointing. I ordered a custom 8-inch vanilla cake with fresh fruit filling for my dad's birthday, and it came out to $60, which feels expensive compared to 85°C or Paris Baguette. On top of that, they charged an extra 50 cents for the knife. It's not a big deal, but it's just kind of weird to charge for something so small. The cake itself was light, with whipped cream that wasn't too sweet, which I liked. But there was way too much cantaloupe and honeydew in the filling, and the fruit didn't add much flavor. Because the filling was mostly cream and fruit, the cake wasn't stable. It kept falling apart when we tried to cut it. The decoration and writing on top weren't great either. Honestly, I wouldn't order a cake here again unless you're specifically looking for a cute custom design. Otherwise, the quality and price don't really feel worth it.
I found this place online, liked what I saw, and so I came down for lunch. It's in a very large Asian, mini mall, which has things such as a shipping store, plenty of places to eat, a water store, a barbershop, things to buy, etc. It was a nice place. Large, very clean. All of the employees were friendly. It has a little bit of everything. It has a bakery, sandwiches, soups, stews, other items as well. They even serve an afternoon tea. I decided to go for the chicken and mushroom congee. (rice porridge.). I also got a green onion hotdog roll to take home with me. To drink, I had a green tea with lemon. The congee was amazing. A rich complex flavor. It had a little bit of ginger in it, you could definitely taste the ginger, but it did not overwhelm the rest of the porridge. The chicken was good, and for the mushroom, they used black mushrooms, which have a deeper flavor than regular mushrooms. So very good. It looked like a small bowl, but I couldn't finish it. Some came home with me, and it reheated very well. It also came with Chinese donuts to put in the porridge. Chinese donuts are a little bit different. They definitely taste like a doughnut, except they are not sweet at all. They are savory donuts, and are perfect to use as a crouton, so to speak. The green tea was very good, and they didn't overdo it with the lemon, and that hotdog roll that I had later, the pastry was delicious with just a little bit of a "chew" to it, they were definitely high-quality hot dogs, and it wasn't just green onion. They had something mixed in, I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't taste raw like green onion can. Just a great lunch. I'll be back. Thanks. read more

I often order custom cakes from Pegasus as they make the most delicious fruit basket and fruit flavored cake cakes around their coffee. Roll is also very delicious today I came in for barbecue pork bow because their barbecue pork bow are insanely good. They are more expensive in many places, but they're very large and just something you can't get anywhere else.. basically a walk up in order from the counter or select your bakery items that are set out. They also have frozen items that you can bake at home or you can order some hot food and they have a whole big dining area where you can eat at there there's also tables outside. It was my wife's 40th birthday and I reached out to Pegasus to see what ideas and designs they had. After a few conversations I wanted a custom designed cake. It took a few easy days of back and forth conversations to finalize the design and fillings but wow! The turn out was 10/10. My wife and all our guest loved the cake. Even while picking up the cake, a customer at Pegasus, gave me compliments of the cake design and asked to take a photo. Thank you to their entire staff for their efforts. read more

I've been to their café and have used them for catering for events from 20 to 50 attendees for a breakfast/ break type setup with beverages and pastries, etc. They have unique offerings and always put a lot of care into their catering and presentation. The bakery shop is quite spacious. We bought some bread and ordered a customized 6-inch fresh fruit cake. I was able to get the cake two days ahead. They sell at an affordable price. We were pretty satisfied with their bread. The cake we ordered was fresh and fluffy, too. It wasn't too overly fresh, creamy, and sweet, which I preferred. They also served egg puffs with ice cream. I will try it one day. This plaza has lots of parking. The staff here can speak Cantonese. read more

When a customer ask to buy 8 egg tarts, but the employees convince you buy 9 so the box can be complete. Which is fine. However to the employees that sold us the egg tarts. You guys are very dishonest in your practice. You guys deceived us and sold us these egg tarts. Half filled and broken. These egg tarts cost $2.08. Average price and you guys probably make over 200% in profit per each egg tart sold. So why be dishonest and sell customer these bad egg tarts. Very dishonest to run a business like this. Just sell the good one and toss the bad ones. Future customers: Always check your pastries before leaving the store. read more

I showed up to Pegasus bright and early-- too bright and too early, actually, since I had failed to check the hours. I had to wait a few minutes for them to open. As soon as the door opened, a line began to form. Even though I had been waiting for the shop to open, I still managed to be second or third in line. At first, because I didn't see any of the items I had been hoping to try, I was just going to pick up a hazelnut pastry. As I was about to pay for it, I asked, "You don't have any pineapple rolls, do you?" "Yes, right here." This is when I realized that there were several trays of baked goods behind the counter that hadn't been put out yet. "What about a green onion and sausage roll?" "Yes, just one?" The pineapple roll was good, but was not what I expected. Most of the roll was just dough, while the top was glazed with a sweet, crunchy pineapple-flavored layer. Still, the dough was really good-- hot, fresh, and a little chewy, almost like mochi, but better. (I don't usually like mochi, but I loved this hot, sweet, slightly chewy dough.) The green onion and sausage roll beat my expectations. I think this may have been the single best roll I have ever ordered from any bakery so far. Hot, moist, fresh perfection. The sausage looked like a hot dog, but tasted more flavorful than that. The dough was mind-blowing. Memorably good. I think this might become one of my new favorite bakeries. I can't wait to come back and try more of their goodies. read more

There's something special about Asian sponge cakes--their light sweetness and the addition of fresh fruits truly take them to another level. My family and I have been coming here since they opened, and we've ordered cakes from this place for almost every occasion. I've recommended it to many friends, and while the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality and flavor make it absolutely worth it. read more

I LOVE this place and come all the time! I love how fresh the pastries are, how they have authentic Chinese breakfasts, and the warm soy milk. The service is quick and efficient and the staff always recommend options to try which has never failed. We like to sit outside at the tables but they also have a nice indoor section to eat inside too. read more

I did not choose this bakery for the cake, but family recommended it so...okay let's try it out. I didn't place the order, but I went to pick it up. Tough place to get a parking spot, so don't come during rush hour. As it was my first time going in, I had to take a look around and see what it's all about. Nothing special, just another Asian bakery where you can use a tong to grab your own baked goods. They weren't as friendly as they should be, but I handed them the receipt. When they brought out the cake, I was appalled by the looks of it. Basic basic cake, that we spent $140 on. They slapped on a pearl like MOM sign in the front which made it looked soooo tacky. Wished I had ordered it plain and went to the dollar tree for the cake decorations. As my mom was asking them questions, they were quite rude and ignored or didn't really want to answer her simples such as "do you give out those plastic cake knives?" I eventually had to ask them and they said no. Usually Asian bakery gives out knives for the cake, especially when you spent so much on it. And guess what? They didn't have a box big enough for the cake!!!! They had to improvise it and hoped for the best. I was already really annoyed with them and I didn't want my mom to get upset, so I stood their patiently waiting for them to concoct something up. Extra cardboards and tons of tape. I COULDN'T WAIT TO GET OUT OF THERE. So about the cake. We ordered the cake with Pandan Coconut, which my favorite also. So I was really forward to it despite the customer service. The cake was falling apart while cutting into it and the pandan coconut was not up-to-par. The coconut wasn't fresh and soft, yet hard and chewy. Some family member said it was bitter! The cake was a hot a mess and looked like someone massacre the whole thing especially when their pink and red roses were cut into. The top half kept falling when we're cutting and trying to serve it. The icing was cheap quality and airy like they only used oil to make it. *barf* The mini cake I got a wholefoods (premade) tasted better than this. Never again will I come here. I special ordered sticky rice in lotus leaf with mushroom and salted egg. They have 1/4 mushroom, 1/4 salted egg and threw in a sausage that I didn't ask for. I want to take a break from 85 degrees, which it's where we usually get most of our Chinese bakery/bun fix. I haven't been to Pegasus since they first opened, so it was time to revisit while we are in the area. They have a pretty good selection of buns with all the basics each individually wrapped. I like the cocktail bun (swirl?) but haven't had any that are as good as the ones I get from New York's Chinatown. I was excited that Pegasus had them, but it was just okay. Nothing memorable. It's all about the filling, people! Everything we got was just okay. I don't think I'll be back any time soon. Besides buns/pastries, I noticed they also have cakes and macarons. Service was quick. I was scrambling to find a last minute, same day cake as my usual bakers I go to wasn't available, so when I contacted Pegasus around 1pm, I was super thankful they could fulfill my request and get it ready around 4pm. Thank you! I've been to Pegasus before and I love their cakes, crepes, and egg tarts! Their cakes are so soft and fluffy, very delicious and not so sweet. If you love whipped cream frosting on your cakes, they are the go-to place as they put a lot of it on their cakes. Last time I ordered from here, there was just too much cream, but with this order, it was just right. Maybe it varies? The indoor decoration is so beautiful with a pretty artwork backdrop that is the icon of their shop! I've sat in there before the pandemic and it's a nice place to sit and chill with friends. The staff were super nice and funny when I went to pick up my order! They mistakenly thought I was trying to place an order for a cake at 4pm, but I was there to pick up the cake order from 1pm lol. read more

What kind of fillings do you have for your cakes?
Hello, we have different fresh fruit fillings (strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, mango, durian) as well as fresh taro, chocolate mousse, lemon filling and coconut.
