Usually this place is good but found gnat in my jalapeño cheese. Not a good experience.

Stopped by Ginelle's bakery today for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. I got a snickerdoodle cookie, pork adobo roll, ham & cheese croissant, and strawberry cream cheese croissant and the total was only $11. Everything tasted great too :) my favorite item was definitely the pork adobo roll

small family owned bakery. first time coming here and i got the ube roll and the hotdog bun thing. honestly i thought these were both just alright. ube roll just had a really subtle flavor and wish it was slightly more sweet tbh. bread of it was really soft tho. the hotdog thing was alright too. i liked how the sweet bread complemented the savory glizz. but ive def had better hotdog buns before. the interior is def very small and cozy which is pretty cool. they even have an open microwave for yall to heat up ur pastries. the man who took care of me at the register was very nice too. but i think the pastries are just meh

    Next day reheating :)

My family's favorite Spanish roll! Small store packed with goodies! Eyeing to try the red velvet cookies next time. Service as good as always. Our must stop by store regularly and especially after urgent care visit (it's like kids get a lollipop post doctors appointments )

Excellent service- amazing food- clean bakery. They are the place to go for fresh bakery items in Elk Grove! The owner is so very nice as well.

This place is awesome!! Just driving past and decided to stop in to give them a try. I got a vanilla cream roll, some purple cookies that I can't think of the name and a coconut roll. All were tasty! My favorite was the coconut roll. It had butter and sugar on top of it but wasn't overly sweet at all. The vanilla cream roll didn't have cream on the inside like I thought it would, but it was still very good, just not sweet. The cookies were soft on the inside and just a little crispy on the outside, just how I like them! They put powder sugar on top of them. Everything was very good and not to sweet. I like how everything was individually wrapped. When driving back that way, I will for sure stop and try something new from here.

Thank You Ginelle's for having great food and great support for the community.

Every time I am near Ginelle's I have to get senorita bread. Everyone loves the pulled pork buns sure. But the senorita bread. I think if you love sweet goodness. Go get some. Great people working there. Then to top it off. I hear they also are Sponsors for the Laguna Youth Little League 9U Gray team! Times have been tough in our community and our businesses. The community had try and support those business like Ginelle's Bakery when times were tough. I think it is great when a business like Ginelle's Bakery then turns around and supports their community.

I usually prefer the bakery on Mack road for señorita bread, but this bakery was closer to me. Maybe I've been spoiled by the other bakery due to their super sweet, freshly baked, moist señorita bread, because the one they have here sucked. It's dry, bland, and hardly any sweetness on the bottom. The stuff inside the halo halo like beans and jello, was extremely soft, like it's been sitting out for a while or it's too old to be eaten. I've had my fair share of halo halo, and the one I got here tasted odd. I couldn't even finish it. All the other bakery goods and fridge-rated pre-cooked meals were okay. Had a few items that were too dry. I suggest you going beginning of the week, that's when the items seem to be fresh.

    Halo halo yummy

Ask the Community - Ginelle's Bakery

Is the Bakery still operational, just noticed that the hours are mostly closed?

Yes, we’re on vacation. We’ll be opened on August 21st. Thank you for your inquiry.

I've never been to this store, curious to go by and buy some bread of my liking unlike Valerio's who wanted me to buy burnt bread, etc. Are you and Valerio's, one and the same bakery?

No we’re not the same bakery. We are family owned and only one bakery in California.

Lol Anyway, we came in 3 fams deep and basically the restaurant was probably not ready to accommodate alot of orders taken 2.5 hours prior to closing time on a sunday. Also, its sacramento summer heat at 103 degrees outside and this spot only using overhead room fans and a portable fan sitting on top the coldest thing inside the restuarant, cola fridge. We had to make sure the kids ate something so we ordered the pork adobo and rice with some lumpia on the side. At least our other fam was able to order silogs and a few savory chicken combo....i guess timing is a virtue here. Cost is not bad for what the food is, just wish it was ready available. Overall thought....theres no more Savory Chicken in milpitas and this the only one to get it if you are craving it and live in sf bay area. So it is what it is solid 2 stars for experience alone, if food is on point then they get that plus HALF POINT.

The stuff I normally order was not of the same quality. Idk if it's just a different cook or what was going on. The tamarind wings, the wings were oddly shaped and looked like wings were chopped in half or in pieces. No wings, a few drumsticks and some odd nugget sized pieces. This was the first time it has ever been like this. We always order the glass noodles and this time, we did not find little crab chunks like we have in the past. Maybe it was an oversight or forgotten? Flavor was still there but definitely not of the same quality. The Bo Ne was still yummy. Now, the bo tai chanh was so good before, this time there was barely any beef. For the price, and the name of the dish, I expect it to be a lot of beef or at least a decent amount. Instead we got a ton of pickled veggies and onions piled into a mound with some slices of beef hidden in there somewhere. I ate mostly pickled veggies. So over the weekend when I had to make a trip to Elk Grove I snatched up the opportunity to stop and bring some food home. I downloaded the app, created an account because I definitely want points and rewards. I also want to order ahead. My very first order was 2 piece chicken meal with spaghetti and mashed potatoes and gravy. It also came with the peach mango pie and the pineapple drink. When getting there my husband goes to pick up the order while I waited in the car with our dog. They were very busy inside and in the drive through so I expected a bit of a wait time. It started to get excessively long so I called him to ask what's going on. He goes to the counter to ask the status of the order. The guy asked for the order info so he gave it to him. He looks around and tells my husband they have no info on my order. That doesn't make sense. So he goes through a bunch of other customers receipts and he found mine. He laughed and told my husband oh I guess we put it to the side and forgot to make the order. Say what? Are you kidding me? They made it then. Strike one on lousy customer service. But maybe the food will make up for it? Yes and no. So my husband brings the food out and the plan was to bring it home to eat. I decided nope I need to try this now because I'm hungry and excited to eat this. I open the spaghetti. Looked good. Tasted better than it looks. I was in love and hooked immediately. My husband took a bite and didn't like it. His loss. More for me. It was a small side so I ended up just eating the whole thing. In the meantime I decided I also wanted to try the burger steak since I don't come often. He goes n to order it and I eat the mashed potatoes and gravy. Best fast food mashed potatoes and gravy I've ever had. Finished that off too lol. He brings the burger steak out. I was going to take the rest home but I wanted 1 bite of the burger steak. The container they used had a hole in the back and they 500 gallons of mushroom gravy ended up spilling over the side down on my bare legs (wearing shorts) and it was hot. At least I'll give them that. Hot, very hot and it's burned my legs. I still have my legs attached so it could be worse. Whatever. I try it. Not impressed. I took the rest home and ate it later because I wasn't going to waste food. But I absolutely wouldn't get that again. It was burnt, bland, dry. Even the Pacific Ocean amount of gravy didn't help the dryness. I ate the chicken at home. Very good chicken. Very juicy and tender. Skin was still crispy even after the drive back to Roseville. I also enjoyed the pie and the pineapple drink I just wish the drink could come in a bigger size. They are opening one in Roseville. I'm not sure when but it seems soon. And I can't wait. I'm definitely going to be a frequent flyer for that spaghetti. The bee outside was cute and I saw a few people taking selfies with it. My husband said the inside seemed clean. He wasn't inspecting it or anything. Just a normal interior of a fast food restaurant. I enjoyed the food, the majority of it. The customer service however was lacking.
