    Ham & cheese

Stopped by Ginelle's bakery today for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. I got a snickerdoodle cookie, pork adobo roll, ham & cheese croissant, and strawberry cream cheese croissant and the total was only $11. Everything tasted great too :) my favorite item was definitely the pork adobo roll

small family owned bakery. first time coming here and i got the ube roll and the hotdog bun thing. honestly i thought these were both just alright. ube roll just had a really subtle flavor and wish it was slightly more sweet tbh. bread of it was really soft tho. the hotdog thing was alright too. i liked how the sweet bread complemented the savory glizz. but ive def had better hotdog buns before. the interior is def very small and cozy which is pretty cool. they even have an open microwave for yall to heat up ur pastries. the man who took care of me at the register was very nice too. but i think the pastries are just meh

    Next day reheating :)

My family's favorite Spanish roll! Small store packed with goodies! Eyeing to try the red velvet cookies next time. Service as good as always. Our must stop by store regularly and especially after urgent care visit (it's like kids get a lollipop post doctors appointments )

Excellent service- amazing food- clean bakery. They are the place to go for fresh bakery items in Elk Grove! The owner is so very nice as well.

This place is awesome!! Just driving past and decided to stop in to give them a try. I got a vanilla cream roll, some purple cookies that I can't think of the name and a coconut roll. All were tasty! My favorite was the coconut roll. It had butter and sugar on top of it but wasn't overly sweet at all. The vanilla cream roll didn't have cream on the inside like I thought it would, but it was still very good, just not sweet. The cookies were soft on the inside and just a little crispy on the outside, just how I like them! They put powder sugar on top of them. Everything was very good and not to sweet. I like how everything was individually wrapped. When driving back that way, I will for sure stop and try something new from here.

Thank You Ginelle's for having great food and great support for the community.

Every time I am near Ginelle's I have to get senorita bread. Everyone loves the pulled pork buns sure. But the senorita bread. I think if you love sweet goodness. Go get some. Great people working there. Then to top it off. I hear they also are Sponsors for the Laguna Youth Little League 9U Gray team! Times have been tough in our community and our businesses. The community had try and support those business like Ginelle's Bakery when times were tough. I think it is great when a business like Ginelle's Bakery then turns around and supports their community.

I usually prefer the bakery on Mack road for señorita bread, but this bakery was closer to me. Maybe I've been spoiled by the other bakery due to their super sweet, freshly baked, moist señorita bread, because the one they have here sucked. It's dry, bland, and hardly any sweetness on the bottom. The stuff inside the halo halo like beans and jello, was extremely soft, like it's been sitting out for a while or it's too old to be eaten. I've had my fair share of halo halo, and the one I got here tasted odd. I couldn't even finish it. All the other bakery goods and fridge-rated pre-cooked meals were okay. Had a few items that were too dry. I suggest you going beginning of the week, that's when the items seem to be fresh.

    Halo halo yummy

Ask the Community - Ginelle's Bakery

Is the Bakery still operational, just noticed that the hours are mostly closed?

Yes, we’re on vacation. We’ll be opened on August 21st. Thank you for your inquiry.

I've never been to this store, curious to go by and buy some bread of my liking unlike Valerio's who wanted me to buy burnt bread, etc. Are you and Valerio's, one and the same bakery?

No we’re not the same bakery. We are family owned and only one bakery in California.

We were really more interested in the Filipino food, as there aren't many options in Sacramento. My husband says that the Filipino food has a Chinese influence here. It's definitely a more hole-in-the-wall place. We came at around lunch time and were warmly greeted by two ladies. A couple of other parties came in after us. We ordered 4 dishes to share, and they came out pretty fast! 1) Pinakbet - probably my favorite dish. It's a simpler dish with vegetables including eggplant, bitter melon, okra, tomato, kabocha, pork. I liked that the bitter Leon had a but of a wok char flavor. The eggplant had a bit of an oil taste but I'm aware that restaurants will fry the eggplant and then stir fry it into the fish to maintain the color...I actually liked that oil taste haha. 2) Kare Kare - it's a peanut butter stew with vegetables including eggplant, bokchoy, green beans, and oxtail. The oxtail is so tender. They also provide a shrimp paste and that adds some salt and pungent flavor. 3) Pancit palabok - as you'd expect with the addition of tofu. I wished they had more chicharron on there for texture 4) Bopis - diced pig ear with some jalapeños and peppers. This was seasoned so well and goes well when mixed with rice. We ordered rice to go along with the dishes. There was sooooo much food leftover. Great value! I am totally looking forward to the next time I get to go here!

Since I've…read morealready tried their bahn mi, I decided on a pork belly bowl and shanghai lumpia and the chicken tocino bowl and the calamansi-ade for my husband. The calamansi drink comes in a giant Capri Sun- looking container (complete with straw to poke it) and was sweet and refreshing. The plates were a huge portion...really 2 meals or shareable. Comes with garlic rice, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, cilantro, onions, atchara (pickled papaya), garlic peanut mix, sweet soy, calamansi aioli, chiptole aioli, jalapenos, and bahay chili oil. I forgot to customize it for my husband, who's a no creamy sauce and no spicy anything. But...he ended up eating every bit of the bowl because it was so good! I l really liked mine too with the pork, but I wish the pork was crispier. The lumpia was crispy and good and for $5 you get 2 long lumpias served with the sweet chili sauce. Our food came up fast, and service came with a smile. If you see them around, give their Filipino fusion food a try! Support this small, local, and women-owned biz!

Their calamansinade is one of my favorite drinks and often sells out quickly. I highly recommend the longanisa dumplings, bao tacos, and their signature bánh mì sandwich with bistek or tocino. The bread is made in-house, and you can taste the freshness. Orders can be placed through a self-ordering kiosk. You can expect a bit of a wait during busy times especially larger events, but it's well worth it. If they're in your area, be sure to check these ladies out, you won't be disappointed!

So glad I'm close to this spot though for sure! There is always a long ass line for drive-thru but goes by fairly quick. There is dine-in option also with several dining tables and it is clean inside. Fried chicken is their money maker though they also serve Angus burgers and some yummy Filipino spaghetti!! This visit I ordered their Chickenjoy 6 pcs spicy. I've tried both original and spicy but my preference is spicy as it is sooo good and more flavorful to me, and it is not really that spicy. It is also served with savory gravy so you gotta dip it Lol I got a spicy chicken sandwich too - so delish! Gotta have Jollibee's fried chicken in moderation but will be back again - Angus burger sounds good!

I don't understand how things are prioritized, but the times we've ordered online, our food is never ready when the app says it's ready. Today, we showed up 20 minutes past ready notification and still had to wait an extra 15 minutes for our food to be packed up. I recommend using the drive thru instead and going during non-peak mealtime hours. It'll be a shorter wait!
