My avocado toast while not super pricey was pretty underwhelming. Granted, it was to-go, but the bread was average, and maybe not as quite toasted as it should have been. Holy mother **** this thing was the size of a newborn child and only $7 (unlike a newborn child). Just for the value of this drink alone makes the trip out worth it. They took my order for a Cuban sandwich with salad and my dulce de leche latte. The sandwich was as expect for a traditional Cuban sandwich. The bread soft and the meat was tender. The mustard wasn't heavy so it missed that acidic note, but still delicious. The salad however, simple, but the dressing was to die for! I honestly enjoyed the salad more than I did the sandwich lol. I really enjoy Xulo Coffee Bar's Mojito latte (Xulo Mojito). If you like mint, this drink is delicious. The layer of cream on the top is such a nice addition to the drink too. (This drink is sweet, but I don't think it's overly so in my opinion.) This business has been in Elk Grove for a while, but I just never stopped by since their specialty drinks never called out to me....I'm not sure it previously missed this menu item or if they recently added it, but this has become my top place for coffee in EG (solely because of the Xula Mojito). Their menu had breakfast burritos and tacos, a breaky sando, chilaquiles, avocado toast, an açaí bowl, a few different waffles, pancakes, French toast, and a couple panini and sandwich choices. A good blend of breakfast and lunch options. Plus, all the coffee and a few pastry offerings too. THEY HAVE SOY MILK! I snagged a soy iced latte to help wash down my Turkey Sando: Turkey, White Cheddar, Greens, Tomato, Bacon, & Avocado. Spicy Mustard on the side, which was not spicy at all. Seemed more like honey mustard. It also came with a side of "crazy" chips...I thinks that's what they called them. It was all okay, nothing amazing and nothing bad. Just average, but I'm grateful to have been able to order a drink with soy milk! There was a decent amount of seating for how small the coffee shop is. I went here on July 11th to get a little morning pick me up after I had finished my workout class. I wanted a little something small and luckily they had a good amount of their small conchas still available. This was my second time going to Xulo Coffee bar, and the quality of the coffee beverages and food was just as good. The little Concha, which I got heated up, was so soft on the parts that did not have the sugar on top. The bread was slightly sweet and the flavor of the horchata on top was perfect. I called that out because it paired really well with the cold brew coffee that I got that had Mexican chocolate in it. The two flavors really complemented each other and I was happy with the combination. The individual that took my order was really awesome I told him I was torn between two of the drinks and he let me know that the cold brew is definitely a favorite regarding the patrons that typically come in. Really happy that I went with that suggestion. Also why I was there the space is very welcoming. There was different age levels of folks in there having conversations, doing work, playing games on their phones together. Also there was some music being played in the background that was just light enough to hear but was not interrupting anyone's conversations. One of my fav coffee spots in Elk Grove. The mini concha's and tortuga breads are so so cute and eye catching. The flavor too is really good. They are light and crumbly just how they should be. Love that they have a variety of flavors for them too and sometimes have seasonal ones. The latte was good, surprisingly not too sweet despite being dulce de leche flavored. Seen this spot a couple times passing by and decided to finally try it today! Thought it was just a little cafe but you can also eat here and they also have food other than drinks. I just got the dulce de leche latte iced and it was very good, even had condensed milk around the cup I believe which is always good. Also got a tortgua concha and my nephew enjoyed that. They have many colors of it you can choose from. They have many drinks too and I seen they do redbull infusions but only see it after I ordered. Very nice service and friendly and quick here. It is counter service, but they still make sure to check in with you to make sure you're well taken care of. OMFG Their mini conchas, coffee, and food were great. Their menu is also on the larger side, and they have food options. The cholula that I put on every single bite as I devoured my breakfast burrito. We honestly didn't expect much stopping by here and we were pleasantly surprised that we enjoyed our breakfast so much. It's not the biggest place but there are a few booths towards the front of the cafe and there are smaller tables towards the back. It was just the two of us so it was a good choice to casually stop in for breakfast. The employee at the cashier was friendly and once we ordered, we took a number to our table and they brought out our food. We looked around and saw other tables order some huge waffles topped with whipped cream and fruit. It looked like a fun breakfast for sure, so there are other options beyond just the breakfast burritos. We also had coffee that was pretty good, but my burrito was the star here. This is about my 6th time coming to Xulo. The staff is always super friendly and the vibes of the place are very fun and cozy. I always stick with a classic Iced Mocha (which is so yummy), and have tried a few of the foods as well. The avocado toast is PHENOMENAL- comes with a side of potato (or salad i think), and I ate it up. The banana nutella waffles are also soooo delicious and so sweet (how i like it)! I also tried one of the tortugas which i have never had before, and I really liked it. The cinnamon roll and smoothies i would also get again.
