She stopped by to check on us, but before we could respond, she walked over to another table and continued a conversation there. When she returned, she said she would bring water, even though we were already ready to order. It took a while for the water to arrive. * Later, we requested a water refill, which she acknowledged, but it appeared to be forgotten. The refill only came when we were getting ready to leave, at which point she apologized. Although it was a Sunday brunch service, the restaurant did not seem busy enough to fully explain the level of disorganization. Food: Breakfast is available all day. We tried this cute cafe across the street from the Apple building. Jamie's cafe is pretty standard American fare. The mason jar mimosas were cute but not special. I ordered the pastrami sandwich which was good but not excellent. It also had a lot of vegetables which made it more of a BLT or club. The fries that it came with were interesting. Steak fries but way thinner. Good crispy surface area. We also ordered a standard plate with sausage and biscuits and gravy. Again, basic, but not amazing. While named Granny's Biscuits, it was giving more Denny's. We were also hoping for hashbrowns, which they didn't have. We settled for the tater tots instead. I took a family member here and I had to apologize for removing them from their morning cereal for the avocado toast. I wish I took a picture, but the avocado spread looked exactly like the one that is available in Costco and the bread also looks like it's from costco as well. It's not special in anyway and pretty bland. When I'm not in the mood to chop up an avocado, I do use this spread at home, but I also season it up-this was not seasoned. I had the hot biscuit honey thing on the special menu. The gravy and biscuit were cold, no spice whatsoever, and the steak also felt microwaved. It very well might have been because after we ordered, the food was out in 10 min. We were surprised by the high reviews. Decided last minute to have brunch here the day after Christmas. We were shocked how packed this restaurant was but they were truly accommodating. We had a twenty minute wait which we thought really??? but it happened as we got seated in 20 minutes! Nice! Catherine was our waitress & was fast & efficient. She was even requested by another table on the other side of the restaurant. I thought oh no we won't get our entrees & was I ever so wrong. These employees work well as a team as our food appeared rather quickly. My buttermilk pancakes were excellent & so fluffy & tasty! My poor wife's mouth was watering big time watching me scarfed down my pancakes! Heehee!!! This restaurant was very casual yet clean. As many people they got inside the restaurant that day we were truly amazed. We were very happy to see this family owned business doing super well. Too bad they don't open later in the day. I can only imagine the weekends when they serve their Eggs Benedict! Yes, this is sadly only a weekend special. That's okay because we ended up getting their Fried French Toast and Dad's Mash up which were just as tasty. The smell and taste of their Deep Fried Strawberry French Toast was reminiscent of a funnel cake. I was afraid this might be on the heavier and oilier side after eating. Not at all! The fry was light and crisp, bread nice and thick, whipped cream and strawberry sauce topped with powdered sugar were obligatory to complete this incredible breakfast dessert. However, I wouldn't say it was overly sweet which was nice! This was also served with a side of 2 bacon strips and eggs. Dad's Mash Up was good but I think it could've been great if it had more prominent bacon pieces within the mix instead of sausage. Personal preference... I would describe this best as a fully loaded biscuits and gravy. Soft pillowy biscuits below smothered with cut up sausage, peppers, ham, tots, scrambled eggs, and thick luscious gravy. I think I'm officially biased. I really enjoy Jamie's every time. And they aren't perfect. But close. They were busy - per usual. We were motioned to sit down. Another few tables came in behind us. And then - a couple seated after us was offered menus and waters before us... just as I was going to say something about being skipped over our beautiful server arrived and the rest of our meal was great! As soon as we walked in to this busy place we got a greeting. A large airy place with lots of windows letting in lots of light, very comfortable & welcoming atmosphere. Came here just after 100pm party of 6. No problem being seated but service stopped after that. I had to get up and get Menus. The portions were huge. Everyone liked what they ordered said good flavor and were pleased except the sunny side up eggs whites were crusty. I got my bowl of spinach with no bacon which was listed as an ingredient and very little feta, onion and mushrooms. The egg was sliced fine so that was what you saw. I did not want it remade but I advised our server when she checked back with us which was when we were near done. She offered to bring me bacon I declined since I was finishing up. She was apologetic and adjusted the price. I appreciate that but would rather have a good meal. So go here and order meat and potato dishes and you will be happy. I won't be returning. We were given a wait time of 10 minutes which turned out to be accurate. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Many dishes were in the $17-18 range which was probably my only issue. But hey, this year has been horrific for jobs and inflation. Nice place for a date after the first date. We ordered - 1 Croissant Bfast Sandwich 1 Avocado Toast 2 Iced White Mochas I will say that the customer service provided was very attentive and kind. No issues with staff or seating areas inside. I withheld one star for this review because the food itself is soooo bland. Everything above was just bare basic, no fluff, no extra, no flavor. Side of potatoes- yummy but +$1 for 1/2 a handful of chopped onions & +$1 for half a handful of chopped bell peppers. Steak sandwich- came out looking kinda sad and tasted sad too Side Caesar- this was the biggest disappointment because it tasted awful. The lettuce was super bitter. I think the full size is like $16 and if I had gotten a full size I definitely would've sent it back. Tater tots - the only thing I would give 10/10. If I could come here and just be satisfied eating a large order of tater tots, I would. My friend got the strawberry French toast here the first time, and she said the batter was too heavy. She kept the faith the 2nd time and ordered the regular French toast and said it was good. Hope springs eternal so when she came back with her daughter, she said her French toast was fine but her daughter's had too much cinnamon? So, you just take your chances!! Service- very friendly but slow. Not a big deal if you're brunching and not in a rush. They were dealing with a bee in the back both times I was there so I hope they resolved that. Jamie's Café is full of delicious breakfast options, lots of hot fresh coffee, and very pleasant service to boot. I can highly recommend all of the omelettes, the biscuits and gravy, and all of the breakfast meats, including their thick link sausage. It's delicious! Pancakes, French toast, fresh fruit, and more variety of breakfast specials that you can shake a stick at. Their breakfast burrito is fantastic!
