This is a must try! I was looking for forage night grub at the casino since I needed a little snackaroo and I came across this gem. I ordered the chilaquiles with the eggs sunny side up with crispy edge with a side of sauce and it did not disappoint! Sausage was flavorful non greasy and easy to digest. Chilaquiles had the perfect crunch and flavor. I loved how it was paired with onion and cilantro really made the flavors pop. I would definitely order this again. It was amazing! Been wanting to try this place for a while and we finally did today. We shared the chicken fried steak and eggs. It's a ridiculously large amount of food. A huge ribeye steak cooked to perfection with delicious gravy, hashbrowns, three eggs and toast. We shared and we could not finish it. This casino offers not only genuinely decent lounging and esthetics to the building, but they didn't even hold back even a little bit on their food. I had a hankering for chicken fried steak in the evening and decided to give The Breakfast Counter a try. They're located in The Market section of restaurants inside Sky River Casino. Parking can be challenging at times due to the busy nature of the casino. There was no line and I ordered the chicken fried steak, a side of gravy, and a fountain drink. It comes with your choice of toast and I chose sourdough. They use ribeye steaks for their chicken fried steaks. They serve Pepsi fountain drinks. I sat at the counter and my order came out a short time later. The chicken fried steak had a nice crunch to it which I like. It was a bit bland and there were a few pink spots that might bother some folks. The hashbrowns were a little cold. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. The toast was perfectly toasted and had a generous amount of butter which I like. The portion was huge and I didn't eat about a quarter of it after gorging myself. I think this would have been a much better meal if the steak batter was seasoned with some herbs and spices. The person who took my order was pleasant enough but the person who took over for him didn't engage with me at all and just stood at the counter staring into space and conversing with coworkers. Better customer service similar to a diner would likely result in better customer retention. I might give them another try in the future but I'm not rushing back. read more

I was sad to see the hot chicken place replaced with The Breakfast Counter, but once I had a chance to try it a few times, I'm pleased we have this option when visiting Sky River. The chicken fried steak combo is not cheap but with a $5 discount for Zone 50 it provides a big portion for a reasonable price. The chicken fried steak was very good and sizable, and smothered in rich gravy. Plenty of hash browns and they make it crispy the way I like it. They slather the butter on the toast which is decadent but I like. Finally the eggs were made perfectly as I requested. I also had the steak and eggs recently and although the steak was pretty small, it was cooked perfectly when I asked for medium rare. The hash browns, eggs, and toast were just as good as with the chicken friend steak plate. The steak was also well seasoned and seared, and was tasty without any added seasonings or sauces. Finally I've tried the (Count of) Monte Cristo sandwitch, and while it was decent, I felt like it was something I could make fairly easily at home. Located in the food court area, there is a counter, but you can sit anywhere in the court. The ambience is adult only, as you have to be 21 to enter the casino. You place your order with the cashier from the menu, which has a large selection of breakfast items. I had steak and eggs with hash browns, toast and shared an omelet, biscuits and gravy, and a pancake. Everything was cooked to perfection by the chef using quality ingredients. Even the coffee was very good. The cashier was really polite, nice, attentive and checked on me often. I was really pleased with the experience and will definitely visit again. read more

My Denver omelette had lukewarm ham and the onions and peppers were raw and still crunchy. Toast had enough butter in it to make it very soggy. Coffee tasted like it was made three days ago. Had a late dinner here on Tuesday 7/9/24 with my friend on our way home to Stockton from Sacramento. Originally was going to eat some street tacos at Aurelia's Taqueria but they had just closed. Other than the coffee shop, this was the only restaurant open at Sky River casino after 11pm. We both ordered the chicken fried steak. You order at the counter/cash register and pick up. Can sit at the counter or the available seats nearby which are plentiful. Our food came out quick. This dish was huge (see pics.) Wish they had a half/mini version. The chicken fried steak was pretty bland and chewy since I think it was a ribeye steak versus the typical cube steak. Had to add some salt and pepper. The gravy saved the steak. The scrambled eggs and hashbrowns were decent but needed salt/pepper too. This dish was pricey at I think $25 which I believe was the case because it was a ribeye steak. Can't say I'll be back. I would have been good with Denny's but I wanted to try this new spot. Definitely this restaurant is more quantity vs. quality at this time. Hope that changes. read more

I ordered the Sky River Combo... the execution was off. The combo was three eggs any style, with hash browns, toast, and sausage or bacon. I knew something was up when I discovered all the menu items with eggs consisted of three eggs. Well I ordered scrambled eggs they were served as a plain omelette folded in a half moon with spatula slices horizontally down the half moon - just bizarre, not fluffy and loose-ish they were almost hard cooked and slightly browned. Like a a traditional American omelette. I asked the server and she told me that they do that to save time. Hash browns and the sausage were very good, toast was over-buttered by a mile. They had to re-make a three egg over easy to a three egg over medium for someone at the counter. But service was good as it is always at this property. So it's my first time at this casino and I was blown away by the atmosphere in the establishment. I stayed a long while enough to see the evening through and transition into the night life, "the market" their little food court was amazing just like their staff, the food was outstanding and tasted great, I ended up going to the breakfast counter twice because it was so good. And on top of the food the customer service was on point. Since my stay at sky river was so lengthy I managed to see two shifts of their staff and got the best customer service I could have asked for, after asking for their names the two that really stood out were Melissa and Bella, they provided excellent customer service and made sure the food was served with a smile. On the other hand there was one person who lacked the professionalism that the two previously mentioned had, this server didn't appear to be in same uniform as the others and looked as if they were there to socialize with the customers, after asking the others about her I found her name was Jaz. Despite the little hiccup the food and the atmosphere was impeccable and the two previously mentioned are a perfect fit for their job. read more
