"AIN'T STINGY WITH THE SAUCE". We tried this place tonight and it didn't disappoint. We had the mixed platter, chicken platter, loaded fries with chicken, and a mixed gyro. PROS: Service was friendly, we told them we were excited to try this place for the first time and they explained how everything was put together. The establishment is clean and has a seating area for dine in. The meats were juicy and tender, not dry like I've had at other places. The rice was seasoned well. The salad added a great way to cut through the meats and rice. Everything was delicious and we will definitely return with some changes in HOW we order. (Less sauce and crispier fries). Advice we received from one of the men working there... the bowls will get you stuffed and the gyros will be perfect. He was so right, however, I did order a lot. Hidden gem I've stumbled across on Yelp. Might be one of my new favorites. Ordered Hummus and pita and chicken over rice. The chicken tasted so fresh and the white sauce was Amazing. It had a hint of dill and it was super fresh and flavorful. The plate came with lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Very comparable to the shah's food truck in Davis. I took a 6 year hiatus from gyros after finding smashed crispy flies on my gyro at a different restaurant so this was a great first gyro meal since then. The food is packed with flavor and sauce and meat and pretty much loaded. The cucumber still had a crunch to it and the tomatoes weren't mushy. This evening I felt like a Gyro. I went to check out yelp, and came across Xtreme Bitez. I got in my car and decided to check this place out. It's located in a corner plaza with a few other places. As I entered, I was greeted by one of the workers. They were pretty busy. Someone was cooking, someone else was helping out a customer and someone else was running up orders. Very efficient. Well, I came for a Gyro, but after watching them prepare a sandwich and the plate, I switched my mind and got those too haha. I ordered a Chopped Cheese, but added their Xtreme Sauce and got their Lamb Over Rice Plate. The Chopped Cheese sandwich was surprisingly very good. The bread was so soft and warm. The meat was cooked just right and all the flavors worked well with each other. I am definitely getting that again next time haha. The Lamb over Rice was very good too. It's a very large portion. I think it's enough for 2, or for 1 pretty hungry person haha. It looks messy, but again, it worked well with each other. Food is always great and delicious but my last bowl had so much hair you would think it was intentional. Usually 1 hair strand would have still been ok for me to bypass ( I know yuck) but as me and my friend kept eating, we literally found these hair strands almost with every bite! It was empty when we came in on a Saturday, late afternoon, but people started coming in after us. There was a fight on the TV and a good amount of tables for peeps to sit. The gentleman took our order and I remember that the set up is clean and well maintained. This is a family business and everyone is friendly! Like someone else said, you can really tell they care about their business and the service they provide. I can tell there is team effort to make the dream work. The prices are good. We got a lamb salad and a mix (lamb and chicken) over rice. I was able to customize my salad and added the white and red hot sauce. It's not that spicy and I think they can make it spicier (like Halal Guys). I gave this place another try and the food is actually great however I ordered two exact plates(mix over rice spicy) and only received one spicy. The second one shown in the picture clearly has no red sauce drizzle on top and I wished I checked in the bag before I left. I did check and see they forgot my fries since it was visible they weren't in there but I didn't think about checking the plates since it was two of the same order. But I think what sets these guys apart from the rest is that you can really tell they care about the customer experience. I saw them have conversations with almost every one that walked in and everybody had something nice to say about their food and it was no different for us! Tried this place for the first time last night and my one regret is that I didn't come here sooner! Holy crap was this food good! The combination of that white sauce + hot sauce over the dishes is In addition, I didn't know what to expect sizewise and I wanted to try both dishes: turns out the portions are great as well! The fries alone filled me up, which allowed me to take the mixed platter to work for my lunch (which was still delicious reheated). The fries were your standard french fry, but perfectly done. They had a little salt and were nice and crispy, which is what you need for a loaded fry dish; you don't want your fries getting soggy from the toppings and sauces. Since then I haven't stopped thinking about it and finally came back again yesterday! I got the same thing both times, the mixed platter. The meat is perfectly tender and cooked, good sized pieces infused with lots of flavor. There was a perfect ratio of rice to meat and salad. They did not skimp out on the sauce as other places usually do, smothering the entire bowl in their signature white sauce. Lastly, the hot sauce added a nice level of heat, perfectly complementing the rest of the bowl. The service has been great both times, nothing to complain about.
