It had a hint of dill and it was super fresh and flavorful. The plate came with lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Very comparable to the shah's food truck in Davis. "AIN'T STINGY WITH THE SAUCE". We tried this place tonight and it didn't disappoint. We had the mixed platter, chicken platter, loaded fries with chicken, and a mixed gyro. PROS: Service was friendly, we told them we were excited to try this place for the first time and they explained how everything was put together. The establishment is clean and has a seating area for dine in. The meats were juicy and tender, not dry like I've had at other places. The rice was seasoned well. The salad added a great way to cut through the meats and rice. Everything was delicious and we will definitely return with some changes in HOW we order. (Less sauce and crispier fries). Advice we received from one of the men working there... the bowls will get you stuffed and the gyros will be perfect. He was so right, however, I did order a lot. Mixed platter & chicken platter: 9/10 needs less sauce (but this is my opinion) in the future I'll order sauce on the side. I got there 30 minutes before closing and there was no one there besides me. The meat is extremely flavorful and tender, and they really load on the sauces! I wanna say that the red sauce is hot sauce and the white sauce as ranch, but not 100% sure. I love the amount of salad that they give you as well! The rice tasted a little stale and hard to me, which could be on me because I went there 30 mins before they closed. I would give this place another try though! If you've had Shah's in Davis, I would say that this is really similar to the foodtruck that they have at UC Davis. Okay, I understand the hype about this place. I ordered the chicken over rice plate, which happens to be labeled as a (best seller), and I get why. This plate has chicken that is well cooked, tender, juicy, flavored. It has rice. It has veggies like lettuce and tomatoes. And the sauce, which arguably is the best part. Food is always great and delicious but my last bowl had so much hair you would think it was intentional. Usually 1 hair strand would have still been ok for me to bypass ( I know yuck) but as me and my friend kept eating, we literally found these hair strands almost with every bite! We were trying to think of other ingredients that it may have been from but as I looked closer, there were actually split ends. There was so much of it that it was unbelievable. Like how is this even possible if it wasn't done on purpose? It makes me sick to my stomach thinking about what could be going on inside your kitchen. As I entered, I was greeted by one of the workers. They were pretty busy. Someone was cooking, someone else was helping out a customer and someone else was running up orders. Very efficient. Well, I came for a Gyro, but after watching them prepare a sandwich and the plate, I switched my mind and got those too haha. I ordered a Chopped Cheese, but added their Xtreme Sauce and got their Lamb Over Rice Plate. The Chopped Cheese sandwich was surprisingly very good. The bread was so soft and warm. The meat was cooked just right and all the flavors worked well with each other. I am definitely getting that again next time haha. The Lamb over Rice was very good too. It's a very large portion. I gave this place another try and the food is actually great however I ordered two exact plates(mix over rice spicy) and only received one spicy. The second one shown in the picture clearly has no red sauce drizzle on top and I wished I checked in the bag before I left. A big W to XtremeBitez, they know how to treat their customers! It's always great to see new halal spots popping up in Sac because you know you can never get enough of them! But I think what sets these guys apart from the rest is that you can really tell they care about the customer experience. Don't get me wrong the food is smacking but they really won me over with their countenance. I saw them have conversations with almost every one that walked in and everybody had something nice to say about their food and it was no different for us! Their food was tasty with aromatic rice and flavorful meat and the portions were pretty good too. The combination of that white sauce + hot sauce over the dishes is In addition, I didn't know what to expect sizewise and I wanted to try both dishes: turns out the portions are great as well! The fries alone filled me up, which allowed me to take the mixed platter to work for my lunch (which was still delicious reheated). The fries were your standard french fry, but perfectly done. They had a little salt and were nice and crispy, which is what you need for a loaded fry dish; you don't want your fries getting soggy from the toppings and sauces. I was super excited to finally come try out this spot ever since I saw the sign go up! There is one chicken and rice place we used to eat at all the time at Sac State and we always crave it, so I'm happy to have a place just down the street. This place is especially nice because there are more sauces to choose from, besides the usual white and red, and I love my sauces! We got lucky and got the last two servings of rice, and our food came out so fast. I added the green sauce on my mixed platter but there was barely any, but the bites I did have with green sauce were yummy so I will ask for extra next time. The meat was tender. I think it could be a slightly bigger portion for $12.99 but other than that I was happy with my meal. There was a sign for toppings but he didn't ask me what I wanted, so I'm thinking those are just for the gyros. But if I can get any of them on my platter then that would be nice too! I saw they have a chopped cheese on the menu which I would love to try, and the burgers looked yummy when I saw them making it for another table. This place looked good. Customer service wasn't good. The place was empty and they just worked on door dash orders vs caring about customers inside. We were the only customers inside and were told to wait and the staff just talked about door dash for a while. Food was average and similar to gyro places. Burgers were not good at all and fries seemed like they were frozen ones and not made in house. I'll just order on door dash since they are opened late but there are so many other great options.
