First time here. Parking was not bad. Tried the chicken platter (mild) and Philly cheesesteak. Food took about 10 minutes. Flavors on both were good. Not too much sauce on the chicken platter. Not too spicy. Good serving of salad, rice, and chicken. Sandwich was big and messy. We ended up ordering an extra Philly cheesesteak to go for a snack later. There are different combo options on the burgers/sandwiches.

Mixed lamb and chicken with rice and salad

I ordered two of the mixed chicken and lamb with rice and salad. I have to say that the combination is nice and I will buy from here again. I would like to try some of the other menu items. For size reference the mixed plate is in a small lasagna tin and it's about the size of two iphones side by side.

Immediately when I came in the employees were very friendly and had top tier service! I ordered the mix chicken and lamb over rice with less rice, more veggies, and extra white sauce. The employees definitely delivered and the plates were literally drenched in white sauce, with extra on the side. Beside the portioning of the plates, it was SO good and I definitely prefer coming here to others. I've also door dashed from here, same quality, amazing food, and it came with a pita bread. They offer lots of seating and the place itself appears to be quite clean.

Chicken Over Rice

Okay, I understand the hype about this place. I ordered the chicken over rice plate, which happens to be labeled as a (best seller), and I get why. This plate has chicken that is well cooked, tender, juicy, flavored. It has rice. It has veggies like lettuce and tomatoes. And the sauce, which arguably is the best part. The whole plate together is perfection. I could eat this every day. I also ordered fries with a side of white sauce, and that was game changer. Prices are good for the amount you get.

This was only the beginning. Way much more in our bowls. Almost every bite. Unbelievable and it would seem to be intentional.

Food is always great and delicious but my last bowl had so much hair you would think it was intentional. Usually 1 hair strand would have still been ok for me to bypass ( I know yuck) but as me and my friend kept eating, we literally found these hair strands almost with every bite! We were trying to think of other ingredients that it may have been from but as I looked closer, there were actually split ends. There was so much of it that it was unbelievable. Like how is this even possible if it wasn't done on purpose? It makes me sick to my stomach thinking about what could be going on inside your kitchen. I really want to continue eating here but please please please let me pray that this was not intentional. This place has good potential and it would be a waste to throw it all away due to unsanitary practices.

I got the Mixed Over Rice and it was delicious!! The lamb wasn't tough to chew like previous places I've been to before and the bowl was saucy, just how I like it. The place was very organized and clean. Navi's (sorry, don't know if I spelled it right) customer service skills were exceptional as well. He was very inviting and down to earth. Will be my staple halal spot from now on.

This evening I felt like a Gyro. I went to check out yelp, and came across Xtreme Bitez. I got in my car and decided to check this place out. It's located in a corner plaza with a few other places. Parking was a bit tricky. I think there was a party going on in one of the other places there since I saw people dressed up. Anyways, on to Xtreme Bitez haha. As I entered, I was greeted by one of the workers. They were pretty busy. Someone was cooking, someone else was helping out a customer and someone else was running up orders. Very efficient. Well, I came for a Gyro, but after watching them prepare a sandwich and the plate, I switched my mind and got those too haha. I ordered a Chopped Cheese, but added their Xtreme Sauce and got their Lamb Over Rice Plate. The Chopped Cheese sandwich was surprisingly very good. The bread was so soft and warm. The meat was cooked just right and all the flavors worked well with each other. I am definitely getting that again next time haha. The Lamb over Rice was very good too. It's a very large portion. I think it's enough for 2, or for 1 pretty hungry person haha. It looks messy, but again, it worked well with each other. When in Elk Grove, and you feel like some gyros, or sandwiches or plates, stop by Xtreme Bitez!

Great food, and friendly service, I'm assuming it was one of the owners was trying to work out how to give us the combo we wanted with some changes in their system affecting things and ended up giving us complementary pita and hummus and literally everything we had was delicious. We got the mixed platters of chicken and lamb and the hot sauce on top too ( not really hot) and it was BOMB

Chopped cheese. Bread is soft and overall sandwich is delish!

Clean, fast, and proper service. We love a good wrap from time to time! Entered and were quickly greeted. It was empty when we came in on a Saturday, late afternoon, but people started coming in after us. There was a fight on the TV and a good amount of tables for peeps to sit. The gentleman took our order and I remember that the set up is clean and well maintained. This is a family business and everyone is friendly! Like someone else said, you can really tell they care about their business and the service they provide. I can tell there is team effort to make the dream work. The prices are good. We got a lamb salad and a mix (lamb and chicken) over rice. I was able to customize my salad and added the white and red hot sauce. It's not that spicy and I think they can make it spicier (like Halal Guys). The red sauce at the table is ketchup, which surprisingly went well with our food, which I had a single dab of on my chopped cheese and lamb plate. It was my first time ever having a chopped cheese - it did not disappoint! Next time, I want to try the philly cheesesteak. Parking isn't hard and the entrance is next to Bru Tea. Really glad that there is a halal spot in Elk Grove! I'll be back.

I gave this place another try and the food is actually great however I ordered two exact plates(mix over rice spicy) and only received one spicy. The second one shown in the picture clearly has no red sauce drizzle on top and I wished I checked in the bag before I left. I did check and see they forgot my fries since it was visible they weren't in there but I didn't think about checking the plates since it was two of the same order. I heard the employee say two spicy to the second employee who made it but he must have mixed up my order with the DoorDash order he was putting together as well. Unfortunate for my husband.... On the positive note, meat portions were great.

Small fast-food type place where you order at the counter and then call out when your order is ready. The salad was plain - just lettuce and few small pcs of cucumber. Will be better if it had olives and banana peppers also. The meats were cooked to order so the food was fresh and tasted good. They put like a buffalo sauce on top and their "white sauce" which was like crema or almost like ranch?

A big W to XtremeBitez, they know how to treat their customers! It's always great to see new halal spots popping up in Sac because you know you can never get enough of them! But I think what sets these guys apart from the rest is that you can really tell they care about the customer experience. Don't get me wrong the food is smacking but they really won me over with their countenance. I saw them have conversations with almost every one that walked in and everybody had something nice to say about their food and it was no different for us! Their food was tasty with aromatic rice and flavorful meat and the portions were pretty good too. They even made sure to hook us up with extra sauces and when their water machine was broken they let us pick whatever beverages we wanted from their fridge. Overall, a great addition to the expanding list of halal restaurants in Sac with awesome service to back.

This has to be our new favorite halal place within the area. Cooked right in front of you, and you get to choose the amount of spicy you would like. Their food brings memories of some New York food stands. Very delicious and flavorful! We really enjoy their sauces. If ever in doubt, order their combo plate.

Three of us did the "build your own" entrees and chose wraps as our styles. Our meats choices were garlic chickens, kabobs chicken and chicken shawarma. We liked our wraps particularly their sauces. The wraps looked beautiful and clean looking. We placed our orders at the counter and the hostess was very nice. We ordered Afghan food from Ariana Gyros & Kabobs for delivery…read more We frequently got foods from Ariana before COVID, because it's the best Afghan foods in our areas. We returned many times since then but today, the old memories of why Ariana was one of our favorite restaurants returned. We ordered our favorites: Chablee kabobs, Chicken kabobs, Qabuli rice, mantoos, and Bolani. Qabuli rice or Kabuli pula, is my favorite. The basmati rice is served with the tender lamb meats. It's fragrant, eye-pleasing, and a good balance of sweet and savory spices and ingredients. It surely fits to be called the national dish of Afghanistan. Mantoos (Afghan dumplings) is the must have in my family. It's filled with ground beef and onions, covered with chickpeas sauce and tzatziki sauce and sprinkled with mint. It's refreshing. Bolani (potatoes turnovers) served with my favorite chutney that's made with cilantro, vinegar and garlic. The kabobs were tender and delicious as expected. I always like the foods from this restaurant. Today, the food arrived piping hot!! We did mostly takeouts from this restaurant for years. I noticed the restaurant did a lot of takeout orders but not many eating in. We did dine-in once, a few months ago. The restaurant updated their interior. The interior felt too dark when we went there for lunch. While the restaurant looked cleaner, I wasn't sure what the theme was. The spaces didn't seem to blend together to create a feeling of comfort. It's not enticing for us to stay to enjoy our foods inside the restaurant. But we like the foods so we will return for takeouts.

I especially wanted to see if their lamb shank was still the "star" from my last visit and to try their meat kabobs. So what did we order. 1) Lamb shank (2 orders): again, i believe this entree is one of the best items here. The shank is braised so well that the meat comes right off the bone without any efforts. The flavor is exceptional. it arrives on a bed of rice, hummus, greek salad, and pita bread. This is an item i would order without hesitation. 2) Chicken kabob skewers plate: 6 pieces of boneless white meat that is grilled once the order is placed. The chicken had a nice char and looked great. But the flavor was very mild and grilled a little too long which made the meat a tad dry...perhaps the chicken needed to be marinated longer for the spices to penetrate but the dryness was in preparation over the grill. 3) chicken and beef kabobs skewers plate: again the chicken was grilled a tad too long which made the pieces dry. the beef was moist and had a nice flavor. It also comes with rice and a salad. 4) mixed plate: sliced meat from a rotisserie spit on top of a bed of rice and topped with tzatziki sauce and hot sauce, hummus and greek salad. the sliced meat was a bit dry but more tzatziki sauce on the meat helped. The side salads were very basic. The pita bread is not as soft and fresh as the ones from Jayna Gyro on Alhambra blvd. But I would give 4 stars for the lamb shank and 2-3 stars for the grilled and chicken and beef kabob and rotisserie chicken sliced from the spit.

She'd noticed my growing curiosity about Afghan cuisine from a previous visit elsewhere and gently pointed me toward Chopan Kabob House, insisting it was worth the experience. There was something comforting in that recommendation--like being guided toward a place that already held meaning for someone you trust. When I arrived, I was immediately struck by the restaurant's clean, welcoming atmosphere. The space felt intentional--nicely furnished without being overwhelming, simple yet warm. I mentioned I was ordering takeout, and the gentleman behind the counter handed me a menu. At first glance, it seemed straightforward, but the more I looked, the more it felt thoughtfully curated--each item carrying a sense of tradition and care. Wanting a proper introduction, I chose the Combination Kabob with Tikka and chicken. It felt like the right balance--a way to experience more in a single meal. I was told it would take about 20 minutes, and as I sat waiting, I found myself appreciating that detail. In a world built on speed, those 20 minutes felt reassuring. It suggested intention, freshness, and the kind of cooking that isn't rushed. When I finally brought the meal home and opened the container, I was genuinely surprised. The portions were generous--almost abundant. A vibrant salad added a refreshing contrast, while the long-grain rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked. Then there were the stars of the meal: the Tikka beef and the chicken, both beautifully prepared. Each bite carried depth--layers of spices and seasoning that felt both bold and comforting. It wasn't just flavorful; it felt rooted in something deeper, something traditional. By the time I finished, I realized this wasn't just a satisfying meal--it was an experience that lingered. There's a certain nostalgia in discovering a place like this for the first time, especially through the recommendation of someone close to you. It feels personal, almost like being let in on a secret. I'm already looking forward to returning, perhaps next time to dine in and take in the full experience.
