The Cajun fries definitely have a spice to them that a lot of other Cajun fries don't. It caught me off guard, but it was delicious, despite the heat! Our server also confirmed we had a mom at our table and brought out a rose to celebrate her! She felt so special and thought that Station 16 doing this act of kindness was above and beyond. This was my first time at the Elk Grove location. My previous experiences have been at the downtown location. The ambience was great! As a frequent customer of the sports bar that occupied this location prior to Station 16 taking over, there definitely were major improvements done to the space and the outdoor patio is now so elegant and secluded, yet brings more vibrancy next to the plaza. We dined on the patio. Our server was amazing, attentive, and took great care to ensure my food allergies were accommodated so I could enjoy more items from the menu. As someone with a citrus allergy, eating out is tough because every place I go, especially bars, has citrus as part of 90% of their drinks or dishes. The patio was comfortable and made us forget we're only 5 minutes from our house! My daughter ordered the seasonal bass, which she devoured and loved. The truffle fries were plentiful and delicious, without the overpowering of truffle oils I find from other places. The crab cakes were good, but I'm sure they would be better if my citrus allergy didn't require the absence of the citrus slaw. The chef replaced it with an undressed spring mix salad amd pickled red onions. The Airline chicken crust was delicious with the hints of mustard sauce beneath. However, the chicken itself was rather dry. This also could be to the kitchen being backed up and the cooking time for the potatoes from both our dishes also held up our orders. My Lavender drink was delicious and I almost ordered a second, but it was getting late and bar became very busy by that time. We came in at 7:15 and were checked out by 9 p.m., so even with the delay with our main course, it was still a relaxed and enjoyable dinner during a reasonable amount of time. Food took a while, and they didn't check in on us much. We choose this restaurant en route back from Turlock one afternoon mainly for the seafood options. To know: brunch and lunch served only on Saturday and Sunday, making reservations online is helpful but not necessary and comments about the waitstaff are true-they are professional, efficient and courteous. There were about 3-4 "hostesses (?)" at the front desk who were standing around a lot, perhaps they could have helped out the wait staff- not a good look...We ordered a take out to go of clam linguine and it arrived just as we were starting our meal, this could have been timed to be received at the end of our meal. If you enjoy Brussel sprouts, you MUST order this, it is a taste delight! We also ordered the scallops ( sorry, no pic) and the ahi salad which were all delicious. Previously we ordered drinks- Jamison neat and a Tom Collin's (very refreshing!) and there were several different bartenders throughout our meal, the first Jamison neat order was a very nice pour about 2 inches yet the second was less than an inch- from a different bartender: consistency needs to be regulated. Ambiance was more "romantic" with huge bright chandeliers against black interior walls, bathroom was silver stalls adding to the black, silver motifs. I recently came here for Happy Hour with a couple of friends, and unfortunately the food and service didn't quite live up to the experience I remember from my last visit. It may have been because it was Happy Hour and it was fairly busy. We were seated outside, and there were several times when it took a while for our waitress to come by the table and longer to get the check. It would have been nice to have someone check in on us within a more reasonable timeframe. The food was just okay this time around. Clam Steamers - 3/5: They were okay. Station 16 is located in a bigger shopping center just off the Freeway on Elkgrove Blvd. Admittably, it was kind of hard to find the entrance, the parking is horrendous and the directions into the parking lot from Apple Maps was awful. Now onto the food, service and all the goods... If you are coming with a party, they only accept 2 payments. Meaning, they aren't going to be breaking up checks for your party. They charge you $20 to bring in your own dessert, and automatic 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. We were a party of 12 and our birthday girl had to tell us all to bring cash. Okay. I hated that for us. Regardless, service was fantastic. The inside is super cute and the experience was fantastic. It feels very upscale for a brunch spot but they have options of all price variety which I think is super important. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their food, and those of us who got alcohol were very pleased and happy with their drinks. 10/10. If not for the awful location and weird payment polices and up charging for dessert, I'd have given this place 5 stars but I think 4 is still just as good. I took my girl here for her birthday, and overall we had a good experience. I really appreciated that I was able to reserve a table for two ahead of time. The hostess was very welcoming and seated us at a great corner table, which gave us some privacy and allowed us to talk without interruptions from other guests. Unfortunately, they either forgot to bring out the sundae or brought it out at the very last minute. We also didn't get the staff singing "Happy Birthday." My son liked the blackened salmon that's also usually his safe choice. The clam linguine was good, I've been having a clam kick so this was a nice choice. The clams were healthy in size and the waitress asked if I'd like bread, I didn't realize that was another charge. The clam chowder and the crab cake we will definitely and completely pass on. The crab cakes -- did not remotely taste like crab. The clam chowder wasn't anything out of the ordinary. If we didn't sit outside it probably wouldn't have been ordered. Station 16 in Midtown has been a favorite brunch spot for me. The only drawback is trying to find parking on the weekends. Luckily for me, they opened one up in Elk Grove. My friend and I went for brunch on Saturday expecting the usual fare of scrambles, omelets and eggs Benedict. Instead, we were tempted by the shrimp crostini and pretzel. I'm not a fan of pretzels, but I'm glad we tried it because it was one of the best ones I've had. It had a light crispy exterior and soft middle. The rock salt topping it was the perfect addition. The shrimp crostini were little bites of heaven. The crostinis are topped with shrimp and cheese and backed. How can you go wrong with that? We also ordered the salmon hash, but we're too full to truly enjoy it. I've been to this location before for a late lunch. I had their classic Caesar, which was nostalgia inducing. It brought back memories of table side Caesars at classic steakhouses. My sister got a shrimp pasta, which was delectable. Service was awesome! We were one of the first few customers in had our pick of tables in this elegant dining room with drop crystal chandeliers and gorgeous artwork. Our server went through the menu with us since it was technically the first time we were there for brunch they checked on us often and brought water refills. The restaurant is located in a strip mall which has Pig Latin, Hidden Dumpling and 18 Grams. The parking lot gets full because there are so many businesses in the area. However, if you go to the corner where Station 16 is located, there is parking that is set away from the actual parking lot itself. All in all our first brunch experience and my second dining experience was phenomenal. So happy that we have a higher end brunch spot in Elk Grove. read more

So happy Station 16 is in Elk Grove now! I discovered Station 16 at their midtown Sacramento location a few years ago and was so excited when they opened a branch here in Elk Grove. Walking in, the place is handsomely decorated, with a modern, upscale feel that still feels warm and inviting. We've been here for date night as well as with friends, and it's been a hit every single time. At this point we've visited four times and it has never disappointed. The drinks are lovely, and their Monday specials make it an easy choice when we don't feel like cooking but still want something a little elevated. They offer some fun specialty menu items that keep things interesting, and there's always something new we want to try. The atmosphere is lively without being too loud, which works well whether it's just the two of us or a larger group. A few extra perks: they are pet-friendly in the appropriate areas, which is a huge plus for us, and they have solid happy hour deals that make it feel like you're getting real value for the quality of food and drinks. Our factories are the raw oysters, mussels and ribeye that's perfect rely cooked to medium rare. Also the salmon over coconut rice is always cooked to perfection. Parking however is a bit tricky at times. Mowing with is located next to other restaurants and stores many times it takes a bit to find parking. Overall, Station 16 Elk Grove has become one of our go-to spots in town, and we're genuinely glad they brought this concept closer to home. read more
