Came here for my mom's birthday dinner. It was such a pretty restaurant! Shimmer and shine everywhere. Food was really good too. I've always loved coming here for the shrimp skillet with Collision sauce and herb rice--it was my go-to every time! We've tried both the crab and shrimp, but the shrimp has always been my favorite. I was really disappointed when they removed the shrimp skillet from the menu. They'll still accommodate a shrimp-only skillet, but at around $40-$50 without the lobster, it feels a bit overpriced. I really hope they consider bringing the original shrimp skillet back at a more reasonable price. That said, the service has always been great, and the grilled salmon is another favorite that keeps us coming back. Overall, we still enjoy dining here--I just really miss that shrimp skillet! read more

This place is really pretty inside but not stuffy. We went for a date night on a Sat and they were pretty busy, we had to wait for about 30 mins, so not too bad. We started with drinks and a couple of apps. The drinks did take some time to come out and were ok. I got a strawberry marg and my hubs got a smoked old fashion. For apps we got the shrimp toast which was really good and the baked oysters which were also good. Hubs got the ribeye with garlic noodles. I chose the lobster and shrimp skillet. I loved the bookshelf when you walk right in. The chandeliers make the atmosphere romantic and fancy. The server and hosts are friendly. Station 16 is one of those places that makes you think, "Okay... I get the hype." The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff was friendly and attentive from start to finish, and almost every dish looked like it belonged in a magazine. The standout of the meal? The summer strawberry salad. I wasn't expecting a salad to steal the show, but here we are. Fresh strawberries, grilled chicken, and the perfect balance of sweet and savory--it was absolutely amazing. The lemon Brussels sprouts were another surprise hit. If someone told me I'd be fighting over Brussels sprouts, I'd have laughed... until these showed up. Crispy, bright, and packed with flavor. Easily one of the best sides on the menu. The Vietnamese coffee deserves its own paragraph. Whoever decided to put that delicious twist on a traditional Vietnamese coffee deserves a raise. It was rich, creamy, and tasted more like dessert than coffee--in the best way possible. The salmon salad was fresh, flavorful, and another solid choice. I'd order it again without hesitation. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was good, but it could've used more Alfredo sauce. The grilled chicken was cooked well, but the pasta needed a little extra creaminess to really bring it home. As for the garlic noodles... I think the garlic called in sick that day. The noodles themselves were fine, but when you order garlic noodles, you're expecting garlic to punch you in the face (in a good way). Instead, it barely introduced itself. Overall, Station 16 absolutely delivers on atmosphere, presentation, and service. While a couple dishes missed the mark, the salads, Brussels sprouts, and that unforgettable Vietnamese coffee more than made up for it. I'd definitely come back--and next time, I'll politely ask the kitchen if they can help the garlic find its way back into the noodles. read more

Went for happy hour and the food was yummy. Had a bit of a hiccup where the server dropped the burning hot artichoke dip at our table because she set it at the side and it splattered on my leg and a little bit went on my 2 month olds leg which made him yell out. He still has a small red dot and my legs have red marks from the burn but hopefully they'll go away after today. Just a warning to everyone that it's a super hot dish haha. They brought us a new order and removed it from the bill but to be honest we could have gone without it after the mishap. After that service was more attentive but overall the food was enjoyable. This lead us to invite my father-in-law here for an early Father's Day lunch. We were sat quickly and then the waiting began. Our table ordered quite a variety from Oysters Rockefeller, Tuna Tartare, Lobster Benedict, Lobster Roll, Garlic Noodles with Chicken Cheeseburgers, and I ordered a Shrimp Scampi with Linguine, and shared a clam chowder and Caesar salad. The clam chowder was good, and I noticed the healthy portion of celery and leeks, adding to its flavor. The Caesar salad was very fresh with it very lightly seasoned with the dressing. I enjoyed the scampi also, but was a bit overdone, making it a little chewy. Everyone enjoyed their meal, The server was very efficient handling a table of eleven. Our server also confirmed we had a mom at our table and brought out a rose to celebrate her! She felt so special and thought that Station 16 doing this act of kindness was above and beyond. They dimmed the lights around 7 which was a nice touch, this is a great spot for nice dinners with friends/family or a date night. This was my first time at the Elk Grove location. My previous experiences have been at the downtown location. The ambience was great! As a frequent customer of the sports bar that occupied this location prior to Station 16 taking over, there definitely were major improvements done to the space and the outdoor patio is now so elegant and secluded, yet brings more vibrancy next to the plaza. We dined on the patio. Our server was amazing, attentive, and took great care to ensure my food allergies were accommodated so I could enjoy more items from the menu. As someone with a citrus allergy, eating out is tough because every place I go, especially bars, has citrus as part of 90% of their drinks or dishes. The patio was comfortable and made us forget we're only 5 minutes from our house! My daughter ordered the seasonal bass, which she devoured and loved. The truffle fries were plentiful and delicious, without the overpowering of truffle oils I find from other places. The crab cakes were good, but I'm sure they would be better if my citrus allergy didn't require the absence of the citrus slaw. The chef replaced it with an undressed spring mix salad amd pickled red onions. The Airline chicken crust was delicious with the hints of mustard sauce beneath. However, the chicken itself was rather dry. This also could be to the kitchen being backed up and the cooking time for the potatoes from both our dishes also held up our orders. My Lavender drink was delicious and I almost ordered a second, but it was getting late and bar became very busy by that time. We came in at 7:15 and were checked out by 9 p.m., so even with the delay with our main course, it was still a relaxed and enjoyable dinner during a reasonable amount of time.
