I first tried this place when they catered a church event back in December, and I've been wanting to come back ever since because the food was absolutely fantastic. Honestly, it was 10/10...even after sitting out and getting cold! They served honey walnut shrimp, egg rolls, garlic noodles, and chicken, and everything was delicious. So much so, I had to ask them where they catered from! I recently stopped in because I've been on a seafood boil kick, and I'm so glad I did. Molly was our waitress, and she was amazing...super friendly, attentive, and very helpful with questions about the menu. She even told us about their Thursday karaoke nights. We ordered the seafood boil with shrimp and mussels in the Fusion sauce, mild spice level. The sauce was incredible! It had so much flavor without being overpowering. Next time, I'll definitely be trying medium spice. We also ordered the egg rolls, which were crispy, delicious, and served with lettuce wraps that made them even better. The sauce was sweet and salty. Great combo. The raw oysters were fresh, the garlic noodles were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and every dish we tried was excellent. So. . .I was craving their salt & pepper shrimp so I got there around 10 PM on Thursday. Is started looking at the menu to make sure I didn't want anything else. I came across edamame under appetizers. Based on the description, I ordered it. I love me some spicy edamame, especially when it's seasoned very well. I got my order to go, got home and when I opened the edamame, it was not what I expected. It was sitting in liquid. The description of the edamame under appetizers says nothing about it being in any kind of liquid or sauce. So I revisited the establishment tonight, which is Friday (the next day). I explained to the employee taking my order what I expected based on the description on the menu and what I got. I even showed her pictures. She said she's never seen edamame made that way (not in sauce) even though there's a picture of it being made that way under their Yelp profile. There was no attempt to rectify the situation so I left it be but it is a bit disheartening to order something with a specific description, then you get home and your order is not what you thought it would be and then there is no recourse provided. Based on this experience, my tip for future patrons is to ensure you get clarification on an item if you are trying it for the first time because it might not come in the same way it is described on the menu. I've been in contact with some very personable employees here who are amazing when it comes to customer service so I will definitely be back. Came here on Wednesday for their $1 oyster deal and it did not disappoint! We arrived around 6PM and it was a bit crowded but we were able to get seated immediately and our food arrived about 30 minutes after we ordered. We also decided to get the Xango Cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious, definitely my favorite deep fried cheesecake I've tried and the chocolate drizzle doesn't taste too sweet. We also tried the Short Ribs with Garlic Noodles and the Mien Pepper as well. The short ribs were very tasty but the garlic noodles were not my favorite, they tasted very bland. The Mien pepper they offer is definitely not worth it, it was mostly lemon juice and cilantro (very little pepper). A good friend of mine is a well-known regular at Chason's (think the Cheers intro theme song) and has heightened my curiosity to pay the restaurant a visit. On a rainy late afternoon, my wife and I decided to pay them a visit for our weekly cheat meal infused date night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Entering the establishment, we were greeted by a myriad of mouthwatering aromas and a friendly employee standing at the front podium.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since the restaurant was fairly empty at the time, he sat us in a booth of our preference and quickly provided us with waters (remember when all restaurants used to willingly do this) and menus. For our first round of drinks, my wife opted for a dirty martini and I ordered an old fashioned. Less than 10 minutes later our drinks were being delivered to our table by the bartender. After one sip I realized that I found my spot for old fashioneds. Unlike some that I have had in the past, this version had a perfect mixture of whiskey and bitters. Therefore, it was flavorful yet potent at the same time. Although not hungry enough to order a proper meal (I'm saying this in my best British accent), we decided that we should have some sort of snack before engaging in round two of drinks. Our server Judy, highly recommended the Calamari (without Cajun spice) and the Cajun Garlic Fries. Considering the deliciousness of both the Calamari and the Cajun Garlic Fries (I must add that they were fairly large portions for the Happy Hour deal), we were very thankful for her recommendation. We visited the restaurant on Monday for the BOGO promotion with a party of 6. We understood there was a mandatory 20% gratuity for groups of 6+, but our final bill after tax was $309.26 while the restaurant charged $101.86 in tips. We asked why the tip was calculated based on the full price instead of the actual discounted bill amount. The server said it was how the system was set up and could not be changed. After that, the service became less friendly and another server was sent to our table. We understand servers work hard and deserve appreciation. If the service had been great, we would have had no problem tipping 20%. However, the service was slow and the restaurant was not busy, so charging over $100 in tips on a $300 bill did not feel reasonable. Pretty disappointed today in chason's crawfish order. Went there for some crawfish on their BOGO crawfish days. I was told over and over by employees there that they don't sell frozen crawfish. So if it's not fresh they just simply don't have any. Which I loved about them.. today was the first time ever I was served frozen crawfish. I ate here last night @ 11pm and ordered a dozen raw oysters. Unfortunately, I started feeling extremely nauseous around 3 AM, and I'm still not feeling well. The only downside is the parking lot is small with all the places inside this plaza. My friend put me on to their $1 oysters so I had to try it! Mom was craving Chason's, so we came in for a late lunch on a weekend. Of course it was a Sunday, which meant FOOTBALL so the indoors was packed and loud. The Niners game had just finished and it was currently broadcasting the Chiefs game. We got a table outside on the patio, and it wasn't too hot but there were no umbrellas for the tables. The breeze did blow away at least one napkin and our to-go bag later. Since it was outdoors I suppose there was a risk of inhaling cigarette smoke if other customers chose to take a smoke break too. Both of us picked garlic noodles instead of rice for the accompaniment. The pork chops were 2 massive pieces, and the garlic noodles were very very garlicky. Also came with some side raw cucumbers and orange garnish, and some kind of chimichurri. I was only able to finish one chop in one sitting, and took the rest to go. The portions and price point was good. I love catfish and normally go to the other restaurant in my neighborhood. There was a group of 9, we all got separate checks (gratuity automatically added). The waitress was friendly. I hadn't eaten in 24 hours, so I wasn't able to photograph my clam chowder. I had catfish and clam chowder.
