I had the brisket plate it's a half pound brisket. Really good brisket but I feel like 2 slices of brisket for $19 bucks is a little on the pricey side. When I looked on their instagram the brisket tacos all have 2 slices of brisket on it. Which was a little confusing to me because if it's 2 slices on 3 tacos for 17 bucks, I paid 19 bro they got waaaaay more brisket. That being said it was very good, just portions and price for THAT plate seemed steep. read more

Long overdue but here it is. This just might be the best restaurant in Elk Grove! This is my go to spot. A couple of dishes are missing here. Cannot find the pics! First off let me say I haven't had anything here "okay". Every dish has been good or amazing! I'll start with the BBQ platter. Some of the best brisket Ive had. You can tell they really put time and effort into smoking the brisket. It's tender and flavorful. You honestly don't even need BBQ sauce! Ribs are just as good. Soft to the bite, seasoned well! I've had a few BBQ places up here and Streetzlan tops them all! Fish(Cod) I believe is a nice flaky piece of fish. Good soft tortilla! Shrimp is blackened but the Pork Taco takes the cake. Crunch with a layer of fat !!!! Smash Burger although I think isn't on the menu anymore is a simple burger but bursting with flavor. Patty to bun ratio is a . Some burger patties are too much imo or the bun is. Grilled onions and Pickles! Fries have a nice pink aioli and the cheese is a good blend of aged but not too much! Also I've had them catered twice, one for baby shower and one for birthday! Not a soul at each event complained! I got the street taco bar and separate 5Lb of brisket+pulled pork+salad. It comes with rice and beans, salsa, cilantro and onions! Service is always top tier...don't have to say much they always make sure you're good. Everyone has been extremely nice! Easy 5 If you haven't been and you're in EG please go... Like TODAY...RIGHT NOW LOL! read more

To be fair, I've had this place bookmarked for quite a while, specifically for their brunch, but just never made it out. But thanks to FOMO and all of the attention it has been receiving lately, we decided to come out here for dinner one day. I wasn't sure how crazy busy it would be, but sure enough the line was out the door the entire time we were sitting there. Luckily, we got there a few minutes before opening so we were second in line and didn't have too much of a wait time. But unfortunately, for whatever reason they were out of the first three things we wanted so we really had a limited selection. Despite the lack of items, we still enjoyed what we did get. It's a casual feel, and you order at the counter, but they still checked on us during our meal despite the busy crowds. They seemed understaffed that day, but still managed to keep things under control. I really liked the brisket - you could see the juices coming out before you even take a stab with your fork. You don't even need a knife because of how tender the meat is. The frijoles and the corn esquites were definitely my favorite sides. The dirty fries were okay but a little bit underwhelming in presentation. The fries were undercooked and could've had more toppings. I was really hoping to try the loaded baked potato, but that was not available. I was surprised to see that they didn't have some of the more classic side options like macaroni and cheese or coleslaw or cornbread. Because they were out of the banh mi option, we opted for the fried chicken sandwich instead, which was actually surprisingly super good, despite not seeming like a main menu item. The chicken was really juicy and burger itself was just very satisfying. Overall, had a great first visit but because of the items that we couldn't try, I feel like we have to go again to get the proper experience. I do wish they had some kind of kids menu. I also still want to try that Sunday brunch menu so we will definitely be returning sooner rather than later. read more

Great flavors, smaller portions. Poke nachos were delicious, but there wasn't a lot of toppings. The whole bottom layer didn't have toppings so I had to separate the fish to have a tiny piece on a nacho to try and get some flavors on it. The nachos itself were so light and deliciously fried. The spicy fried chicken burger had good flavor too! But it wasn't spicy. It said you get to choose a side so we got the dirty fries. It unfortunately didn't say that it's an extra $1.50. Which kind of sucks. It is the more expensive side so it makes sense, but I wish it was actually written somewhere. Cause are there other sides that cost extra too? But both tasted yummy! The place was very cute. The people serving were super nice and they were great. read more

We ate here a few years ago and have been meaning to come back. We had family join us. We arrived at 11 am on Sunday (they typically open at 10:30 am. There was maybe a table or two occupied already. Service was very considerate and friendly. When you enter, you're supposed to order at the counter and then take a seat. They will deliver the food to your table. We ordered several items to share. We got mostly tacos and a build your own burrito. Unfortunately they did not have the Chicharron "Perron" when we ordered and they said it wouldn't be available for another 1.5 hours. - Cerveza battered C St Rock Cod: tempura fried, with shaved cabbage, avocado, salsa, togarashi mayo, cilantro, and line. This was probably their best taco. The cod was a large piece, crunchy - Carne asada "Al Carbon": Jack cheese, salsa roja cruda, avocado, salsa, pickled onions. I enjoyed this! This had good flavor. - Carnitas: Melted jack cheese, pickled onions, tomatillo salsa, cilantro. This was alright, a little dry for the meat. - "Chicano style" burnt end brisket: Mole pipian, Japanese pickling, serranos, BBQ jus, cilantro - this was pretty flavorful and probably my second favorite. - Vaquero tacos - essentially their birria tacos. This was really good! Very crunchy, crispy tacos, and great flavor. It came with consome and salsa. I really enjoyed the salsa, as it was on the spicy side. The consome was more tomato-forward, so not really my cup of tea. - Build your own burrito: we got it with BBQ chicken, BBQ beans, rice, sour cream, chipotle sauce, and pico de gallo. Overall, it was a pretty standard burrito. The BBQ chicken was perfectly flavored. The BBQ beans also were pretty good. I was expecting them to be very saucy, but thank goodness they were not, since I'm generally not a big sauce person. They have a good amount of seating and tables can be combined for larger parties. They have two bathrooms available. They have plenty of parking in their lot. As we left a bit after noon, it got pretty busy and the line was almost out the door. Overall, it was pretty good, but maybe not as good as I remembered it. They definitely have unique offerings which makes Streetzlan great! read more

After all the Guy Fieri hype, I had rather low expectations. Arrived on a slow Sunday towards afternoon closing. Open the doors to a red rope, which felt classy! The two guys behind the counter were educated on the menu, including modifications the kitchen could handle, they were incredibly patient with my questions, and very helpful in making choices on what to order. I took my lunch to go and they packaged everything with care, ensuring crispy tostadas would stay that way. The brisket burnt ends tacos did not disappoint. The house made blue corn tortillas really complimented the flavors of the bbq meat. The esquites were so freaking good! Highly recommend, even to finish off your bag of chips. The salsa was very interesting. They described it as pico de gallo with salsa roja which was exactly as it was. Great balance of flavor and spice. They modified their salmon tostada to use ahi. Fantastic. Would recommend. The rice and beans were the perfect traditional rice and beans. Well flavored. Rice was fluffy and seasoned. I felt the price point was pretty fair considering comparable options elsewhere. My only negative is $7 for chips and salsa to go felt like a bi expensive given the size of the sides. Will be back to try the banana pudding! Also really loved the Spanish inspired decor and fresh flowers on each table! read more

They were out of most proteins including their signature fish taco. They blamed 4th of July. We were hungry so we stayed. Service was off. Forgot part of the order. The food was good. Streetzlan - How NOT to deliver a drink. - Seafood Near Me - Elk Grove, California

I came here with my partner on a Sunday! There was a welcoming ambiance in the front and we were advised to take a seat for dine in. There's no posted menu up front but there are plenty of handheld menus to pick up and glance at. It seems like they have a rotating menu, we came for lunch but they only serve breakfast on Sundays. I overheard our waitress talking to another customers about which days serves breakfast and lunch vs just breakfast. They also have other fluctuating things such as what kind of agua fesca, side salad, or fruit is available for the day. Although it would have been nice to know what the daily rotating items were before ordering we didn't feel like we were shorted or disappointed in the options we had. I also feel like I'm more intrigued to return on a day they serve lunch or other drink options! Chilaquiles had a lot of flavor but they didn't uphold the crunch of the chip very well. All eggs were served runny which I love but my partner isn't into. (Luckily for me I just got two eggs). Chicken sandwich was the best food item by far. The crunch of the chicken was amazing and overall it was cooked perfectly. The pepper on top was a great little spicy snack in between bites. The drinks were awesome. The horchata coffee was amazing, the sangria was so tasty, and the melon aqua Fresca was perfectly refreshing for our Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was clean and had a nice open space so It didn't feel too crowded. We already decided we would be back to try lunch options in the future. read more

Okay I want to first start off by saying this place is its own separate restaurant. I call that out because it is next to a fusion Mexican restaurant that is its own thing. They are not connected to each other and have completely different menus. With that out of the way I want to try and shout from the hills about elk Grove about how amazing this place is. My friend and I wanted to try a new place for lunch and I popped up my Yelp app and this was one of the top 10 things that showed up on my app. I told her the name of the restaurant and she said that she's been wanting to check this out for a while. So we both decided let's do it the pictures that we saw on the main homepage were super enticing especially the tacos and when I did a quick click everything else looked stupendous. We came to this restaurant around 12:30ish on Tuesday March 3rd. When we arrived we saw that there were at least three other tables seated and we were greeted quickly by the individual behind the cash register asking us if we wanted to dine in or take to go. We told them we would like to dine in and we were told we could pick any table that we wanted and they would be with a shortly. Walking into the space itself was very comforting for both my friend and i. The art on the wall especially the handmade frame that was close to the patio doors was super cute and heartwarming. What really got us were the pictures along the wall near the restrooms that show the family and the effort put behind the food. The great thing about this place is the menu is one-sided and I say that because it makes it easier to decide what you want to try. Considering that we have not been here before my friend and I decided to do a little smorgasbord of all the tacos because it was Taco Tuesday so why not. She got the vaquero tacos and then I got an assortment that included al pastor pulled pork fish and carne asada. We added an order of the chips guac and salsa, a coca-cola, and one IPA that was on tap. I will tell you right now the food was amazing the charred outside of the tortilla on the vaquero tacos was sublime because it held the juicy delicious meat inside so well that crunch after you dipped it into the consummate was just unbelievable. I will also say both my friend and I are a fan of having a little bit of that chard taste and so again the char plus the juicy me plus the consummate plus the cilantro and the pickled vegetables was just amazing. For me all the tacos were amazing but I would say hands down because I was supposed to share one of them with my friend and totally forgot because of how good it was, lol, which was the fish taco. The fish was extremely fresh, the batter on the outside had a beautiful Golden crust and was amazingly crunchy, and adding a little bit of the lime that came with it to cut through the batter was just so YUM!!! And I also want to call out the chips, guac, salsa were also able to hold their own. All the chips tasted fresh there was not one single chip that we ate that had even a slight nod to being stale. And when we saw the salsa we originally thought it was just going to be very tomato because you could see the chunks of it in there but we were crazy surprised by the flavor because it was bright with a little bit of citrus and it had this surprising heat that wasn't burning it just warmed on your tongue as you tasted the rest of the flavors coming through with the cilantro and the onion. And I will say the owner Erick, a hella of great guy. Once we were done with our meal we chatted with him about the restaurant, about him being there for 2 years, and just how we want to to come back to try the rest of the food especially the barbecue cuz side note while we were there he was bringing out Trey's of freshly smoked meats and even though we were hungry we were like maybe we can squeeze a little bit of room to have a little chunk of that meat to take home with us LOL. We decided not to and instead because it was so good but to go tacos for both of our partners so they could try the deliciousness that we just had. Oh and can't forget that we also saw the brunch menu and the server was like if you want we have the Cafe de olla iced coffee right now if you want to have some with your to-go order. And we literally said say less, order to, and that was so so so so so good. Again I cannot say how much I love this place. We are definitely coming back for again the other items on the menu especially the barbecue and to check out the brunch that they have on Sundays only. If you're in the area please come check out this place and give a big high five, smile, shout out to The grill Master Erick!! read more

The portions of the salsa and guacamole were a quarter of the bowl .. check out the price of them. I did not get enough for my chips. When we asked for more we were told we needed to pay for more salsa. The brisket was tender but too fatty. The chicharron tacos was the best out of everything. I needed more salsa on my tacos.. the one who had a lot of sauce was the fish taco and wish that was out on the side. Be aware The brisket taco is $10 for one. And may not be worth it if it's too fatty ( unless you like fat) The cokeacola was flat The service was good but the prices and food was pretty disappointing We will not go back unfortunately read more

Finally got a chance to visit this spot after waiting for a long time. We attempted to come here on a weekend for dinner once and it was literally packed with a long wait so we tried Sunday Brunch. Brunch was 0 wait but they did have a large party reservation. You receive the menu and pick your spot. The server was one of the most friendliest person ever. So sweet - a sunny person that cheers you up. Sunday is brunch menu only so lunch so I got myself a longanisa egg sandwich with fruit and my partner got the chilaquiles with carne asada. I stole some bite of the chilaquiles it was pretty good and I like that there's some pickle onion and jalapenos to give it that little kick. My egg sandwich is so good! The egg is super velvety + a great texture and it works together with the longanisa. It is messy though so fair warning The ice cafe de olla was good. It wasn't overly sweet and the bit of salt is quite nice. The server was so nice I'm really hoping to come back for the taco Tuesday it's been a while since I get really kind friendly service read more

I've only gotten take-out. The brisket and pulled pork. Both excellent! So happy to have good brisket in the area. Today I also ordered the frijoles de la Olla. I've been meaning to try this place out and I'm glad I did. I was around the area picking up some dog food and decided to get myself some food haha. I remember seeing that this place has some brisket. That's good to know, because most people would think this is just a taco spot. Well, this place is also a BBQ spot, and a very good one. As I entered, I thought it was going to be a fast food type place, so I was kind of thrown off haha. It looks like they focus on being a dine in place. They don't have their menu posted in a big board like a take out place. Anyways, I asked for a menu, and ordered 1/2lb brisket. It came out fairly quickly and it was very good. It was very juicy and the flavor of the brisket didn't even need sauce. My only regret is not ordering more. But now that I tasted it, i know I'll be back. I think I found my new BBQ place here in Elk Grove. read more

On 7/1 we ordered dinner for pick-up through their website. Their hours started they were open from 11:30-8pm that day. When I went to pick up our order at 4, the restaurant was closed. I called, no answer and could not leave a voicemail. I emailed them a copy of our order and let them know no one is there, to this date I have not received a reply. My husband went by and the staff blamed DoorDash and said they would call to resolve it but today the charge posted and now we have to contest it with our bank. We enjoyed the food but the awful customer service does not compensate at all. They have stolen $90 from us. Update 7/8 after commenting on their instagram post (which I hated doing but I felt like I had no other way to reach them) they have refunded our money and offered us 10% off our next meal. They also stated they would be fixing their hours which is good because this wad the 3rd time we tried to go but they were closed despite hours stating they were open. read more

I stopped by a few weeks ago to try their tacos during my lunch break. I ordered online, and it was ready before I arrived, which was perfect. I tried the fish tacos..they were tasty and not too heavy, though I felt they could have benefited from a pickled onion or some acidity to balance the flavors. Although there were a small handful of full of items that I wanted to try, they were out of inventory on a Saturday. What we were able to enjoy was still good. Selective menu. There is a nice selection on their wall of drinks, but as mentioned they were out of a few of them. I know this place has gotten a lot of buzz after Guy Fieri was there on Diners, DriveIns and Dives. I can't give it a 5, but 4.5 instead. Firts the good: the corn dish is amazing, don't skip that. Honestly, the fries were superb. The carnitas were flavorful and moist in the burrito bowl. The burnt ends lacked a bit of flavor and it was inconsistent throughout with a few pieces that were slightly more well done. The tortillas crushed though! It was a bit warm inside but they have a decent amount of seating inside and out. I absolutely hate when restaurants have those chairs, we all know the ones at like 80% of restaurants that dig into your a** and hips. I suppose they are cheap but I always think what an absolute awful way to treat someone eating your food. Finally, the food is slow, be willing to wait, maybe don't go in starving like I did. The service is fantastic; super friendly and helpful. This is a solid BBQ restaurant in Elk Grove. read more
