    Delicious side salad
    Nichole G.

Hop Junction in Greenhaven has become one of our favorite spots, especially after soccer practice when everyone is ready to relax and eat. My go-to order is the Gobbler with a side salad, and it always hits the spot. The place has that lively neighborhood energy where you can hear people catching up and enjoying themselves, which makes it feel welcoming right away. Wing Wednesday is also a big reason we come back -- but definitely call ahead because they run out early. Trust me on that one. Big shoutout to Athena as well. She makes fantastic drinks and her service is always on point. We were gone for a few months during the soccer break, and the moment we walked back in she remembered us, which honestly made the place feel a little like Cheers. Helpful tip: plan for Wing Wednesday early, and if Athena is working you're in great hands. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.

    Sangria Sunday...salud!

This cozy neighborhood watering hole serves up authentic dishes that result in a serious level of comfort. I was invited to check Hop Junction out, which is now under new ownership, and I'm glad I did. The small bites happy hour menu offers several different food choices. We couldn't make up our minds and since all items sounded so yummy we tried the following: Sliders- made with deliciously seasoned hand-pressed mini burger patties with a thick slice of sharp cheddar melted on top & served ona homemade mini brioche bun. It was simply mouthwatering. Carne Asada quesadilla - is made with a delicious grille pressed flour tortilla and filled with thinly sliced asada seasoned beef, asadero queso, and drizzled with seasoned Crema on top. Hand-dipped, thick cut, beer battered, onion rings - well the name says it all. They're outstanding. All I can say is don't overthink this...Just get 'em. Wings - fried honey glazed and buffalo. They're super tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. we had two styles, buffalo and honey glazed (sweet and savory). The artisan sangria special was delightfully refreshing and it's served in a mini carafe with fresh seasonal fruit; strawberries, mandarins, & limes. I will definitely return to Hop Junction as both the food and the customer service here is outstanding!!

They've changed ownership and menu?? Came here to watch MNF! The drinks and food were on point! Athena was an amazing hostess/bartender. The margarita and lemon drop were yummy! We had the chicken wings and sliders. Both were good portions and very delicious! The restaurant is pretty casual, clean with a cool, relaxing vibe. Great to have an awesome and friendly neighborhood bar/restaurant in the hood!

In short: Hop Junction is quaint clean locals pub with great service and yummy food! I don't know when I saved Hop Junction on my Yelp account lol but it had been sometime! It popped up last week and reminded me. So I took the boyfriend because he loves beer and burgers and food looked bomb The place didn't disappoint! Food: we tried the short rib grilled cheese which was amazing. It had a super crispy buttery crust on the sourdough bread and delicious filling with tender meat, white cheddar and Gruyère cheese it came with au jus which was kinda sweet and oniony but didn't even need it. The only thing that might make it better would have been some garlic added to the butter on outside crust! We also shared the down south burger which was sooo good! Nice applewood smoked bacon, Swiss, bbq sauce and thick cut freshly made onion rings The only thing I would change were the fries weren't salty or crispy enough for me since they were a little thicker toward a steak fry. But you can also get a side salad so I'd try that next time. Drinks: my man got a beer called algorithmic divergence and really enjoyed it. I ordered a raspberry lemon drop and then second guess myself thinking it would be too sweet but it was great! Not sweet at all ( even the boyfriend liked it) it tasted like lemonade with chambord in it I love raspberry so was cool with that. The bartender also took our order and was nice and down to earth. The place itself had good vibes and seemed like a locals place to chill. We would go back

Fantastic bar food and even more amazing service!! Ask for Athena!! This is a great place with a warm vibe! Run and don't walk to this spot!! Wings are also crispy and awesome!! The sauce is AMAZING and it's HOMEMADE!!

Came in with friends for the first time on a weeknight around 4:30pm. Made it in time to order from the HH menu. This is in the same plaza as 24hr fitness. We were the only ones in the restaurant and service a bit slow but there was Only one waitress who took our orders and also made our drinks. They give you a lot of fries from the Happy hour so definitely shareable but the chicken tenders were extremely dry. My friends ordered the sliders from the HH and said it was good. I Ordered a beer flight. They were out a lot of beers about 10 but I was able to try the following 4 beers. Porter was my favorite. Food was ok. Maybe a good hang out for a quick casual drink & bite with a friend. Beer flight: Brother Telonius Biggest Little Blonde Nose Goblin Mac Nut Porter

Visited this place for a friend's birthday on a weekday. We shared the starters, veggie pakora and samosa, and we all enjoyed it. For the main dish, I ordered the Tandoori Chicken Tikka (also came with rice and salad), which tasted really good. Additionally, if you're into beer, this place has a large selection (I think this is one of the main reasons my friend wanted to come here). Lastly, there was one person waiting on tables; he did a great job serving our table. Overall: If you're looking for delicious Indian food, check this place out!

The inside had a huge bar plus tables spread throughout - they also had an entire wall of beer taps that were self-served. You drank how much you wanted and then paid at the end, I think? Sounds like a cool concept. We ordered a Black Cherry Margarita and a Peach Mule - we both really liked what we ordered! The bartender was really nice and gave great recommendations! While we didn't order food, we did peruse the menu and they had a lot of good options like Chicken Wings, Fish and Chips, Fettuccini Alfredo - plus different salads, sandwiches, burgers and even pizza! I think my husband would really enjoy Fire Taproom so we will definitely be back next time we are in Elk Grove! Check them out!

And it for sure has been. So here is how it works here-when u walk in,you register a debit or credit card at the front desk and then they get you a pour card and then take you to your seat. This pour card allows you to go to the self pour section of the restaurant and grab a glass and pour beer to your hearts content. Each time you pour yourself a drink you can tell on the screen how much your pour is going to cost. Then at the end of your visit you turn in your pour card and they charge you for whatever damage you incurred. Pretty straightforward-It's so easy to rack up a tab,but honestly isn't that part of the fun.Its great for happy hour or killing some time before a movie or dinner. This place does have a pretty good food menu as well-mostly serving bar type food-though over my many visits I have tried most of their menu,I will say be careful when ordering food, make sure you have time, more than a few times the kitchen was super slow and ran right into my movie start time before food arrives, not all the time but enough time where it's something we think about when ordering food. Food has been mostly pretty good with the chicken wings and the tri-tip sliders my personal favorites when ordering food here. Another thing I do like about this place-they have a lot of TVs,so pretty much guarantees a great view from everywhere in the establishment. They also show all the UFC events at this bar-I know do to recent changes a lot of people are watching at home these days but if one does want to get out in the world to watch a UFC broadcast-this is an excellent place to make that happen. Not a beer person? No problem-this place does have a full bar for those of you who would prefer a cocktail Happy Hour is a thing here as well-so if in the area around happy hour-they got you covered with various food and drink discounts. In closing-If it's not obvious-I really love this bar and restaurant-they are super friendly and it's a really chill spot-one of my favorite happy hours to go to before going to a movie next door and even a great spot to just throw back a few beers either solo or with friends-you should stop by if in the area-I'm sure you will like it here too.

The restaurant is beautiful and open inside, and they have additional outside seating. When you enter you order at the counter and then find a seat. I've dined in once and ordered takeout on my second visit. The team here is welcoming and friendly and it's always worth checking out what the specials are. They make everything in house and the menu changes with the seasonal ingredients that are available. I've been trying to work my way through the menu to try different items, and so far everything I've tried has been great. The first time I visited with friends and we ordered a couple pizzas, their muffaletta, Italian beef, olives and focaccia, and salsa di parmigiano. Everything was so fresh and flavorful and you could tell they put time and effort into the menu items. The fresh house made bread makes a huge difference too. On my second visit I ordered a pepperoni pizza, the Caesar salad, hummus and crostini, and Italian beef sandwich. Everything was packed with care and made it the 30ish minute ride home and tasted delicious. I'll be watching their instagram for more fun specials and I'm excited to head back for a date night.

The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. With authentic flavors and food items, there's not many like it around town. Bodega serves up food from the Caribbean Islands. One of their most popular dishes is their jerk chicken. They have this both as a chicken wing appetizer and as a plated dinner. I personally really enjoy white meat when it comes to chicken and the dinner plate was leg and thigh so I opted to go with the wing appetizer. My only complaint about it was its size. I thought it could have had more wings as I thoroughly enjoyed each one with the jerk sauce I added to it. The wings were very crisp on the outside and full of flavor. Adding the jerk sauce or their house made hot sauces enhanced the flavor even more. I could really see myself coming just for these wings! I also had the Cubano sandwich. This hot, pressed sandwich has ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard. It's a popular item that also is bursting with flavor. The combination of all the ingredients was mouthwatering. It comes with a side of fries to round out the meal. Service at Bodega was very nice. We found the servers to be very patient with us and the food came out reasonably. There I discovered The Pocket Club--a bar untouched by time and unbothered by pretense. The decor whispered of 1977--shuffleboard, portable fans, and the faint musk of bygone regrets. Behind the bar stood Janet, barkeep of grit and grace, whose no-nonsense charm and swift service are worth two stars all on their own. She does not suffer fools, nor does she tolerate tab openers who can't finish their drink. When she asked what I wanted, I replied, with the survival instincts of a duke in exile, "Beer." On the positive side, def a welcoming party. The bartender and locals at the bar were friendly and strike up conversations with us and we even played against a couple men at pool. They kept calling us little girls, but we have an old soul within. Lol
