We just moved to the area and decided to try Thursday trivia. There was a huge turnout and you can tell many people are regulars, which is always nice to see. There was a huge beer selection, as well as food (but we didn't order food so I can't speak to that). The outside patio had a lot of tables with misters for the hot summer days, and you can tell that there's a consistent group of people that go, which makes for a homey and comforting vibe. We will definitely be back!
My daughter recommended this brewery. Great place to get a beer and burger! My burger was delicious! Freshly made. I also tried the blue cheese habanero fries. Yummy!! Not a beer connoisseur, but the cider I did have was refreshing. Plenty of seating outside. Definitely recommend.
Fun taproom and eatery in Sacramento that we hit after a long day coaching volleyball. Service was super friendly and their outside area was hopping! We were thirsty and starving, and their digitally updated beer selection was well organized and represented a broad spectrum of beer styles. We initially tried their Mexican lager and a fruity sour which were both cold and refreshing. The Thai chicken sandwich included a nicely fried chicken breast complemented by a pineapple slaw, cilantro, pepper jack and a more sweet than hot chili sauce within a soft brioche bun. A little disappointed by the tri tip chimichurri sandwich which had an excellent blend of flavor combos but the trip tip was dry, kinda tough and under seasoned for our palates. We wish there was also more chimichurri sauce. The fries that came with both plates were fried well. Finished off the meal with their Russia River Happy Hops IPA which was outstanding. Overall, a great experience and hope to get back soon!
Somewhat of a hidden gem with a great patio with plenty of seats and misters and variety of food and drink options! We got the burger and chicken sandwich, both of which were great. Good quality ingredients with your choice of sides. You order inside and they bring out the food to you. Super friendly staff who gave us helpful suggestions on what to order. Will definitely be coming back!
Great go-to spot for whatever kind of beer tickles your fancy and some great food options. Nice and tucked away in the East Sac area.
Absolutely loved it! Great service, the guys at the bar could not have been nicer. And the food was fantastic! The hot honey chicken sandwich was killer. I had such a hard time deciding between the hot honey and the Thai chicken sandwich, so next time I'll be getting the Thai! Onion rings were amazing. Good ranch too! Fries were awesome and the burger was great. Seriously just all around outta sight. Came here with a couple of families and lots of kids under 5. Not a whole lot for kids to do, they run around and have fun, but there's nothing for them to play with unless you bring your own things. Like sacyard has giant connect four, nothing like that here. But it's a great spot to hang out and definitely get food. Tons of beer options too and they're all great! Looking forward to my next visit!
A great hangout spot! I got their BBQ burger and it was delicious. I don't drink beer but I had their hard cider on draft and it was good! There's plenty of seating inside and outside and the staff were friendly. Lots of street parking around the establishment.
Stopped in for a quick beer and Julio was very nice. I seen a lot of food come out the kitchen going to delivery drivers. The bar top was covered with long gone beer labels which was pretty cool. I need to go back sooner than later.
Lefty's has become a go-to spot for our family! My little one loves riding over in his power wheels & it's always an adventure, and for us parents, it's the perfect laid-back dinner spot after a long day. The vibe is super welcoming, the food hits the spot every time, and you really can't beat the beverage selection. While it's totally family friendly, I highly recommend bringing something to keep the kids happily entertained since it's along a decently trafficked road. It's such a win-win: easy dinner, happy kid, and a moment to relax for mom and dad. We definitely keep coming back!
The best spicy grilled chicken sandwich I've ever had! They have beers other than IPAs! They've started cracking down on rampant children..it's only up from here! My only annoyance is the attitude toward bikes...forcing us to leave them locked up out front where you can't watch them but viewable to every car driving by...I can only ride my POS here for fear I'll walk out front to leave and find a cut bike lock and no bike.

This misters kept things cool while we waited for our food -- and we didn't have to wait long. Portions are as large as the menu offerings. We settled on a fried thai chicken sandwich and a BLT. Both were flavorful and filling. Lefty's continues to rock as a place to get a beer or good food. They also serve weekend breakfast until 2 pm. Their outdoor area can get crowded as does the street parking. But sharing a picnic table is common, and you get to meet some nice, new people.

The short of it: plenty of brews on tap, selection of non alcoholic beverages in the cases inside, both outdoor and indoor seating options, food (we'll get to that), and moderately ample street parking. - Staff: Everyone seemed chill/normal/helpful. - Beer Selection: solid selection of brews/wines/some ciders (ain't no specials though, $9+ for a beer) Food Stuffs: Full disclosure, I was pleasantly surprised...kinda. Buffalo chicken salad: 4/5 - For $17, I made a whole lot of noise when it got to my table. Turns out, it was pretty tasty. Still, $17 though. Mac and Cheese: 3.5/5 - decent taste, weak noodles (if you know, you know). Friend stated, "I feel like I want to add something to it. I am not mad at it, I just would need to think about if I ever wanted it again. Like, it isn't bad, but will I crave it again?" $10 btw Buffalo chicken wings: 3.7/5 - Friend states, "felt like it was more breading than meat, the ratio felt different than normal hot wings" Chicken Cesar Salad: 4.4/5 - Solid option TL;DR: Go, grab a drink, order some food, chill. Lefty's is cool. Open spaces, chill staff, and busy on Thursdays. Special shoutout to that lovely mango hot sauce.
Driest burger I have ever had, the price you pay here should definitely get you something better than a whopper at least. I wish I spent that money on 2 in n out meals instead. Besides the burgers, the fries and ranch here are decent. The best part was definitely the beer selection but they were mainly out of the cool flavors that I wanted to try but I'm guessing they are that good so they go fast. Would recommend coming here only if you are into trivia and beer, skip on the food. Staff are super friendly and service was somewhat fast. The vibe here is chill and laid back.
I've been looking around Sacramento for a cool neighborhood bar for a while. I think I finally found it when I stumbled across Lefty's. It has a great patio outside with lots of picnic tables and plenty of lights. There's a handful of big screen TVs inside and a big bar. They have an impressive selection of beer and if stopped there, that would be enough. The owners went the extra mile and filled it with cool retro decor like an old Cole machine, neno signs, and an old wood face refrigerator. Impressive. I ordered a pale ale the bartender recommended and it was great. I also order a burger and fries which were equally good. My burger had a nice soft bun and a smash burger style patty made from meat they grind themselves daily. The fries were crispy and cooked to a nice golden brown color. They served everything hot and quickly. The bartender was great and seemed to know most of the customers. All the employees seemed to be friendly and hard working. I like this place so much I think I'm going to adopt it. read more

I finally got to taste the food at Lefty's after just enjoying the beverages. The menu is full of choices from their legendary barbecue to various burgers. Below is a photo of their mushroom and Swiss on a brioche bun. Delicious! Pair with a side of homemade coleslaw and it's a great meal. Fresh and juicy with flavors that linger. One note dear readers. If you go on a weekend be prepared to wait for your food - this place is popular. And it is also a family friendly spot so be ready for noise and lots of kids and dogs. Enjoy! read more

What this has the best ambiance because I have indoor and outdoor seating. Best for getting fresh air or staying inside and socializing. The service is amazing because they not only greet you with a hello. They take your order right away and you get served at the counter. We did not order any food this time, but in the past we've had their burgers and fries and they were fresh and delicious. read more

I have been to Lefty's a few times now - located off of Elvas Blvd. They have street parking, but there has never been an issue finding a spot. When you walk up to the building, they have a tap room (I think), but if you go around to the side, they have an outdoor area as well as another building with more seating and the section where you order food and drinks. They have a good selection of beers and ciders, this past visit, I ordered the Twin Rivers Blood Orange Cider which I have been a fan of for years. For lunch, we ordered the Brisket Breakfast Burrito (special), Kids Hamburger and their Buffalo Chicken Salad. All of the food was really good, their burgers are even real burgers, no frozen patties. The guy at the counter was super friendly, but it did take a long time to order as he said something about it being a new menu, which I found odd. There was always a long line at the counter when we were there, I'm sure it was a mixture of the long wait time plus just being busy. Add Lefty's to your list of breweries to check out! read more

Love this East Sac spot! They have a GREAT selection of beers on tap. Not to mention, the food was also delicious. The salad was great, the buffalo fries were so good and the chicken was nice and crispy. The wings were a hit. The staff was friendly and would occasionally come around and pick up glasses and dirty plates which was great. It was crowded on a Friday night- there weren't very many free tables (a good sign)! Would definitely recommend Lefty's for a family outing for dinner or a spot to hang with friends. read more

This is a solid restaurant/taproom near work! Melea was at the bar/register that helped the group with our Beer and Food order. I love how their beer menu shows how full their beer kegs are. My BBQ Burger was 2 smashburgers with bacon and a massive onion ring. 4/5 on flavor. The fries were well seasoned! I can see myself returning again! There are 2 TV's outside with seating both inside and outside. read more

It was a fun place. Nice outdoor seating and space. Many beers on tap and the food was pretty good. I had the chicken prosciutto sandwich. It was a large sandwich and you can add to it if you want. read more
