Great place to have great local beer and more
Monica M.

Love the new 3 wings set there so huge and taste so good, the service is always amazing by the staff and management and the whole place is always fun and friendly and welcoming and by everyone. The restaurant and bar and everything is always super clean and they always make sure everything is always stocked up like TP and extra if needed. This place is amazing and if you haven't been here yet check it out it's worth it and they have security and everything.

Loved the beer selection, the friendly servers, food and the holiday decorations. They also have wine. Lots of parking in their gated parking lot. In and outdoor seating. Trivia nights are fun and busy. I have to mention again how the staff were so friendly and fun! The manager had an interesting antenna remote to control their neon "OPEN" sign and then the hilarity began. All the references to the remote to all the ways to manually turn off the sign brought laughs to everyone involved. (You had to be there!) The employees made it a solid five star brewery venue! Drive cautiously around the area since there are some people lying around the outer sidewalks.

Welcoming staff, good food, great seating. Came in after going climbing at Pipeworks. An "order when you walk in and pick your own seat" type deal. Decent brews on tap, although they run out of the stouts/porters as soon as they're released. Tofu Banh Mi: 3.9/5 - Filling, but a bit wet for my taste. Feel like the bread could've been brushed with the sauce used so it wouldn't be as messy. Smashed Potatoes: 4.7/5 - They're good. Get em - get a side of dipping sauce also My friends liked their items too, one was a large salad and the others got the burger. We will return, def curious about the stronger beers on tap. Very clean space and they have a lot of events.

Yas yas and more yas! What a treasure! My brother was like let's go to this place and boy oh boy I'm glad he recommended. The food and the beer will blow your taste buds away. From the shareable to the pizzas you can not go wrong! To drink there is a little bit for everyone. They also have games and outside firepits! The ambience is new age but industrial. The staff was amazing! Highly recommend!

1 piece short of 1/2 large magerita or better yet OVERPRICED cheese pizza.

We went because of the good reviews, try something new and were disappointed in the food selection and cost. We ordered a magerita pizza and it was over $40 for what ended up being nothing more than pizza sauce on a French bread crust with cheese. The sides were burnt and hot but middle of pizza was just warm and tasteless.

HOLY, the burger here was one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life on earth. I actually still have vivid memories of this burger, the right bounce to the bun while still holding shape after cutting the burger into fourths (I know an atrocity to mankind, but it was to share as a group), the burger was juicy while not being too oily to drink into the hand, and some pickled radish to really cut the fattiness. I plan to come back, climb at the gym, but mostly workout to eat this burger I will say some of the other items weren't that stellar, particular their Detroit Style for margherita (just not my fav combo despite both being good individually) but they all hit the spot. Their appetizers particularly the Asian glazed baby carrots was actually a sleeper item, highly recommend! Overall, I will definitely recommend this place purely for their main burger and carrots. Worth a trip from the Bay which is a statement because that drive is about 1.5 hours but the food was so affordable AND tax and gratuity is already priced into their items so you don't have to deal with debating to tip The space itself was nice too, outdoor picnic bench seating with heated fire pits, heat lamps, and plenty of games including a crimp "tug of war" which is great since it's part of the Touchstone Climbing gym

We had a great experience at Touchstone Brewing. The beer tender was super friendly and took the time to explain the menu and the whole process, which we really appreciated. The brewery itself is huge -- plenty of big tables and a spacious outdoor patio that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Plenty of parking and the beer was fabulous. They do have a variety of canned beers to take home. We also ordered a combination pizza that was just as good kinda small for the price but the hot honey drizzle was an amazing touch! We'll definitely be back.

Really good Detroit style pizza, but expensive at $26.00 for its size.

If you're looking for a place to relax with a cold beer and some pizza, this is the spot. It oozes friendly vibes, good music, and a unhurried weekend atmosphere. The menu has a good selection of beers, salads, pizza, sandwiches, and sides. I sampled a few beers, which were all good, but I really want to talk about the pizza. I ordered a Detroit style pepperoni pizza, which seemed a bit expensive at $26.00, but it's a non-tipping restaurant, so that offset the price a little. Also, the pizza was really good! It had a thick crust that was crispy along the edges, but cooked perfectly inside. The pepperoni was crispy, and curled into little cups, so it was very visually appalling. The mozzarella and burrata paired nicely, and were nice and gooey. They put honey in the dough, which gives it a little bit of sweetness, but not too much. The flavor was exceptional. I can't complain bout the service. They staff was friendly and answered my many questions about beers, the menu, etc. They also prepared my food quickly, and keep the place very clean. The pizza is something I'd go back, and so are the good vibes.

Touchstone is a very relaxing place to have a beer. We spent time there on a recent Friday late afternoon; and while there were numerous people around, the place didn't feel crowded at all. Its outdoor area is first class, with clean, top-notch wooden tables and benches, as well as misters; there is even a fire pit. Lots of space both indoor and out. Beer menu is expansive, and staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Touchstone is also a "tipless" establishment. They have food on-site. And oh, the beer is great! While the neighborhood may concern some individuals, the environment is very different once you enter the gates. Check it out and take advantage of the happy hour prices. $5 for a great-tasting beer? Are you kidding me?

Stopped by on a Friday night and it was packed. There was live folk music, and misters all around the huge patio area; perfect for the hot summer night. There is a lot of seating both indoors and outdoors. The area around the brewery is a little sketchy, but there's a gate all around and a security guard patrolling the parking lot. The patio area also has corn hole and fairy lights strung around. Beer wise, I only tried a pint of the Take Pride hazy and it was just okay. Food wise, I ordered the Detroit style pepperoni pizza, which comes with pepperoni, burrata, and a hot honey drizzle. I will be coming back just for this pizza alone. It took about 20 min to come out, which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Especially if you like burrata and hot honey as much as I do!

Summer salad with chicken & kale chicken salad

After indoor rock climbing at Pipeworks that shares the same parking lot as Touchstone, we came in to eat and have a beer after we had worked up an appetite. We weren't the only ones with that idea since we noticed other climbers from the gym were also slowly trickling into the brewery after as well too. We ordered the kale salad with chicken and the summer salad also with chicken. The salads were refreshing with huge greens. We enjoyed our beers out on the spacious outdoor patio benches. The salads were a bit pricier being more than $20 each, but since there's no tipping here it actually just leveled out. Looking for a date idea? Why not go climbing at Pipeworks and stop by here for beer and food afterwards, or you could also just skip the climbing part :) Although the brewery felt safe, once we left and drove around the corner we did see a lot of tents and rougher streets. It wouldn't deter me from coming back but just good to be aware of.

This place is RAD! Located in the same parking lot as Pipeworks. They have a huge industrial building that has a bunch of tables. They also have quite a bit of outdoor seating as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their beer is GREAT! They have IPAs and SOURs and SELTZERs which we love but they have a good amount of beers to choose from. There's something for everyone here! FOOD: They have some food that you can order at the counter. We got a sandwich and it was good. PARKING: They share the parking lot with Pipeworks and there's always a lot of parking available. TO-GO: They have a list of beers in 4-pks. SWAG: They have quite a bit of swag from bandanas to shirts to long sleeve shirts to hats. I think they should add a metal beer sign to the items for sale ;) I bought a hat and a bandana and I love both! They're great quality and comfortable.

The people involved in my review. Except the one in the hat.

Disappointing and Disrespectful Experience. I rarely leave reviews, but my recent visit to Pintworks in Sacramento was unacceptable and deserves to be shared. I came in ready to enjoy good food and beer, but unfortunately, I left feeling disrespected and discriminated against. When I ordered a beer, I noticed my pour was significantly less than other customers'. I politely asked why, and the assistant manager Brittany and a staff member with glasses were dismissive, rude, and defensive. They claimed it "depends on the beer," yet nowhere on the menu, website, or wall signage is this stated all drinks are advertised as either 16oz or 8oz pours. Their tone was condescending, and it felt like they didn't care at all about my concern. Even when they reluctantly offered to "top it off," it was done with such attitude that I felt like a burden. What's worse, after I walked away, I overheard Brittany openly talking negatively about me to the other staff member, saying she didn't care what I had to say. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. Later, while we were finishing our meal, she came to our table, forced a fake smile to clear plates, then confronted me asking what my "problem" was. I had already said I wasn't interested in any resolution because of how rude and dismissive they were. Her confrontational behavior and denial of any wrongdoing were incredibly uncomfortable. I left feeling disrespected and frankly, like I was being treated differently because of my race. That's not something I say lightly. As for the food, it was fine but overpriced. We spent around $70 and tried the pizza (a bit burnt), the al pastor potatoes (too heavy on potatoes), and the poke tostada (the best of the three). The beer was actually good, which is unfortunate because I won't be going back. If you're a person of color, I urge you to be cautious. The way I was treated here was unacceptable, and no one should feel belittled or unwelcome at a business especially one where you're spending your hard-earned money.

This is a funny place for me as I've been here more than a few times, yet I don't have a favorite beer or food item but not because I don't like the food or the beer but because the more things I try the more things I had to my favorites list at this incredible brewery. This particular visit was on a Tuesday and they have a great pint beer special on Mondays and Tuesdays with $5 select pints all day. On this day we decided to go with Weird is the new Normal-a West Coast IPA($5.00) & a Luna De Miel-a Mexican Amber($5.00). Both beers were very refreshing and went down super easy and I've added both to my "will order again " list. For food I ended up ordering Brisket Tacos ($14.00) off the appetizer list and a Pulled Pork Sandwich($17.00) off the sandwich list. I upgraded my fries to Garlic Fries for an additional fee-I think $1 but not sure as I was being treated that day. This is the kid of place where u walk up to counter and place an order for your beer and food then they give u a number and will bring your grub out to ya at whatever table u can find. They have both indoor and outside seating-I prefer outside seating this time of year. Food was delivered very fast-in under 10 minutes. Brisket Tacos were super simple but still wonderful -really soft tortilla with a nice chew and flavor topped with their famous juicy tender perfectly flavored brisket with onions and cilantro as a topper-they are excellent because of the quality of the brisket. 8.8/10 Pulled Pork Sandwich was the item that stood out that day-pulled pork was smoked perfectly and smothered with a perfect amount of their BBQ sauce and one of their famous onion rings is in the sandwich also topped with BBQ sauce. The bun they use was so soft and meshed perfectly with the soft tasty bite of the pulled pork. 9.4/10 I really do love all of my visits to Urban Roots as every visit has been positive-I've recommended this place to many of my friends who visit from out of town for a high quality yet casual dining experience & if that isn't enough of a recommendation, the day I visited was my actual birthday and this was the place I choose to celebrate-I love this place that much.

We started with the shishito peppers, which were great and came with a really memorable miso aioli that was very addictive with a hint of lemon. We also got the "Fun Guy" pizza to share and made the mistake of removing the goat cheese, which I think hurt it. The crust was excellent and the toppings were fresh, but it felt like it was missing that salty, funky balance the goat cheese would've added. Still very good, but that one's on me. I'd definitely get it as intended next time. One of my favorite breweries, especially with so many having closed over the past few years. Cheers to them.

My friend did not argue about it and my other friend and I got our beers and sat down. We just wanted to spend time and catch up. My friend with the expired ID did not even take a sip of any drinks and respected the policy, the woman that we talked to earlier about the ids then proceeded to come up to us and say that we were sharing drinks, yelling and being very hostile. We were all confused because in no way, my friend even touched or drank any of the drinks. She insisted to call the cops. We then asked her if she had any evidence such as video footage and she said she did not have any access to that and she did not have footage. She said we were breaking the law and she will get the police involved for underage drinking. She was being extremely hostile. We asked for a refund and would leave, we were so uncomfortable. He then proceeded to say we did not pay for the drinks and I had to pull up my credit card statement to even prove it, which is absolutely ridiculous. I got our drinks and paid/ closed the tab before even sitting down. We asked to talk to a manager again. Mind you, we asked previously, and got the lead. The manager just asked if we were from the Bay and shook our hands instead of actually doing anything about the situation. I saw her hug the woman that was accusing after we were leaving which is absolutely ridiculous. Why would you encourage that type of behavior to your staff. Profiling in 2025 is insane. I feel bad for my friends. I feel extremely uncomfortable. Discriminating and accusing just because we are the only POCs in the room is so embarrassing. All beers appeared to be craft, I didn't see any mainstream beers like Bud or Coors. They also offered a few craft soda options and plenty of water stations. They outdoor seating in the front or a nice large back patio as well as a few spots inside. We opted for the back patio to enjoy the random cat that was lurking around. It does appear the back patio is dog friendly as well. We ordered the prosciutto and fig pizza, an OG pepperoni and the garlic breadsticks. It did take longer than I expected for our food, but we did come right at opening so maybe morning prep took some time. We really liked the prosciutto a fig, the balsamic glaze and the sweetness of the agave paired well. I do wish the garlic bread was more garlicky. It was more of a cheesy bread in my opinion, which was still delicious. We will definitely be back. And what's even better is Gunters is right down the street so you can enjoy a sweet treat after a nice meal and ice cold beer.

Great taproom with family vibe!…read more This is the place that caters different demographics: family, student, couple. I saw people bringing their kids who played around at their backyard area, people studying at the front area, couple singles are mingled at the backyard seatings. Foods and drinks are decent size and good price. Service is pretty fast. I recommend their IPA and seltzer. For foods: pizza is their best. It was thin crust and plenty of condiments, served warm. Parking: free limited street parking Restroom: decent Ambience: casual

Fun West Sac hangout place!!…read more Parking: moderately difficult (metered, popular area) Ambience: 10/10: live music, outdoor under the open sky, super relaxing. Great crowd and overall flow. Entry: there's a line for ID check and wristbands, but it moves quickly. Restrooms: clean, 5 stalls per gender with plenty of sinks. No line when I went. Seating: mostly outdoor. Options include long canopy tables (fits: 6-8 people) or fireplace seating (extra $10). The building itself has really interesting architecture: loved it. There's also a small indoor area called "The Wing" with a nice bar and fun photo props. Service: ordering is done via QR code at your table and paid upfront. Food comes out fast (5-10 minutes). One hiccup: they dropped another table's pizzas at ours without confirming, and sauces cost extra, even basic ones like hot sauce have to be ordered online. Food & drinks: burgers, pizza, wings, fries. Drinks: beers and ciders. Highly recommend the lavender lemonade. Overall: great spot for casual hangouts with friends: definitely a fun place to bring guests.

Drakes the barn is an amazing spot to get some beers, take the family, enjoy the music and vibes…read more My wife and I are on a road trip and this was a stop to meet up with one of my brothers in law. We came it to just enjoy a quick beer and head out. The open space and kind of camp out vibe was amazing. If it's hot try to grab a space with shade otherwise you would get cooked. They have fire pits and games so you really can't go wrong. The food was ok, we got a pizza and the lemon hummus with veggies. The pizza was decent but the flour on the bottom took away the flavor. Mind you I love that they to woodfire pizza, I make woodfire pizza at home but ya just gatta watch the flour underneath to not lose the flavor or the crispness of the dough. The hummus was ok, I was hoping for a more lemony flavor and the veggies were cut really thin. As far as bang for you buck it was ok. They had women great beers and drinks on then menu so honestly the environment is set up for vibes. The food could use a little more love but honestly it's a great spot because in the end ... decent food, good friends, drinks and vibes ... you cant beat that.
