The food here is phenomenal and immediately made me miss being in Munich during Oktoberfest! The gentleman that was taking orders and outing beers was super nice! It was pretty packed when my friends and I arrived but were still able to find seating. They have a great selection of beers and again the food was incredible, especially the pretzel with beer cheese.

Great spot for a drink! Me and a coworker came here after work to catch up. We both ordered the Starburst beer. It is fruity and refreshing and delicious! Just an FYI, they only have an outdoor seating area

We absolutely loved our experience at the Midtown BierGarten! This outdoor BierGarten had lots of seating and such a pretty atmosphere with the fall leaves. There was even cornhole and other games to play. The service was great! The bartender was "in character" with the German accent and lingo, he was super awesome. We tried the Starburst beer SO YUMMY! If you stop by you also have to try the pretzel, fries, and Belgian waffle!

Walked in off the street, an it was so nice after every other place had a line to not have to deal with that. The kitchen was closed, but the bartender was quick to let us know. I tried a grapefruit Hefeweizen mixed with a pomegranate cider which they call a starburst there and it was delicious!

Midtown Biergarten is one of my partner's favorite places to go for a bite to eat and a drink. This authentic charming beer garden is open air with tables and benches straight from Germany. Whenever possible, co-owner Sean Derfield makes sure that many of the beers on tap are from Germany as well. There's a limited menu featuring German sausages, salads, pretzels and Belgian Waffle sandwiches. On our latest visit, for Valentine's Day, we enjoyed the Starburst, a signature blend of rattler and cider, with a refreshing light and sweet taste. We also tried the belgie of the month, which featured pastrami and andouille sauce. We love Biergarten for the range of people it attracts, the fun ambiance and casual nature. If it's not raining, stop in for a taste of the old country in Midtown.

Every Thursday during June for Pride Month, Der Biergarten is giving 20% of all Starburst and Pretzel sales to Sac LGBT Community Center! They're open until 8:30PM on Thursdays. The Starburst drink ($8.75) is the Schofferhofer grapefruit hefeweizen (wheat beer) at the bottom topped with local pomegranate cider (Two Rivers or Nitty's?). I got the 500ml size but it does come in a larger mug/volume if you desire/dare. You can also get it as a frozen slushy too! The soft buttered/salted pretzels are $5.50 each and come with sweet and spicy mustards. I added a cup of beer cheese for $1. 2 hour street parking, not too hard to find table seating, line for drinks/food wasn't long at all of a wait for a Thursday evening. Dog friendly patio, water is self serve. They also have Belgian waffle sandwiches (monthly special is pulled pork), fries, currywurst, dessert strudels and waffles too. Come check them out! Open later on Fridays and weekends of course.

Went early on a Thursday, was able to find free parking easily despite being in the busy center of midtown. There are long community tables, a cornhole row, and small patio. Dogs and smoking allowed, but all furry friends were well behaved. As it was early it wasn't packed, but there were at least four other small groups there. The gentleman behind the counter was enthusiastic and enjoyed talking to regulars, making the place feel very "local" in a nice way. I had the Derfinator Dog, without barbecue sauce, and a stein of Stiegl Raspberry Radler. The staff/kitchen was super accommodating, I was able to get a veggie dog wrapped in bacon to substitute the usual beef dog. The Derfinator was very good. Whatever brand of veggie dog they use has the exact same texture as a meat one, and was well seasoned by itself. The produce was fresh and not overwhelming, I was able to consistently take bites without losing any toppings which was preferred. The cream cheese went well with the hot sauce, and the homemade secret garlic sauce was great--going to ask for a side of it with the fries next time. The Radler was great. Refreshing, fruity, and low ABV make it a very easy drink to put away. The raspberry is the most prominent flavor, without much beer vibe. Absolutely recommend. Not tried but offered by the bartender: Radler Moscow Mule, which I'll definitely be having next time.

Midtown Biergarten is such a fun, laid-back spot to hang out in Sacramento. Big communal tables, all outdoor seating, and a friendly, neighborhood vibe. Highlights: - Awesome selection of German and craft beers--lots to explore. - Pretzels and garlic fries are the perfect snack. - Super dog-friendly and great for groups. - They were running a fun contest where whoever holds a 5-lb beer mug the longest over three weekends wins a ticket to Oktoberfest in NYC. Such a unique idea that added to the lively atmosphere! Just a heads up: it gets crowded on weekends, and there's no indoor seating, so check the weather. Overall, one of my favorite places to relax with friends over good beer and a bit of friendly competition.

Have been here a few times with friends and will definitely keep coming back. Great lowkey spot to hang out and have some drinks outdoors. A good amount of seating considering how busy it gets, they have some games like hack sack, heaters for when it's cold and shade covers for when it's hot or drizzling. The staff have always been nice and friendly when I've been. They answer questions about the drinks on tap and will give samples so you can get a drink you like. The food is also tasty, I've had the pretzel and garlic fries. The garlic fries are a must! Their pomegranate cider is my favorite currently but I'll be trying more from their extensive menu. Super nice Biergarten in a really convenient area, right in midtown near a bunch of other food and drink spots and small shops.

Forever in love with this spot. It is the perfect casual spot to enjoy a great beer. I'm not super into beer but the starburst is delicious! Highly recommend to anyone looking to try something new. The service is great and food comes out quickly.

Decided to drop by Midtown Biergarten and it was exactly what I needed. It's an extremely relaxing spot with good vibes, and perfect for just chilling with some food and a beer. I decided to grab a pretzel and the sausage platter with garlic fries. Pretzel was warm, soft, salt. Came with mustard, ranch and other sauces which were a plus that had a nice little kick. Nothing fancy, just done right. The sausage platter was tasty. Couple of different kinds of their most popular sausage, all good, fries were crispy and hit the spot. Great pairing with any drink they have to offer honestly. Staff were cool, food was great. I'd definitely drop in again soon.

Loved my hotdog! The place was busy but not too busy to be comfortable, the service was friendly and quick. Will go again

Wow I felt like I was back in Germany from my Army days. I came here on a super pleasant August Saturday noon for lunch takeout. The Biergarten is open aired with cool artwork everywhere. Ordering was very easy at the cashier station. The server had spent a couple college semesters in Germany and was very friendly. The jagerschnitzel with traditional hunter gravy and sauerkraut were very well prepared and savory. The potato salad was vinegar based which was very light and tasty. The apple strudel was the highlight of my meal and was the best I've ever had period! I look forward to coming back to try the sausages.

Garlic fries and a pretzel. Perfect snacks to go with a great beer

We started with the shishito peppers, which were great and came with a really memorable miso aioli that was very addictive with a hint of lemon. We also got the "Fun Guy" pizza to share and made the mistake of removing the goat cheese, which I think hurt it. The crust was excellent and the toppings were fresh, but it felt like it was missing that salty, funky balance the goat cheese would've added. Still very good, but that one's on me. I'd definitely get it as intended next time. One of my favorite breweries, especially with so many having closed over the past few years. Cheers to them.

When we first walked up, the place was super busy with the outdoor seating area and queue full. There were still members of our group that were on their way, so we didn't mind waiting in line. They had kids menus available to look at, and even thought the stack for regular menus was out, some people in line were kind enough to hand us theirs when they were done. I stared at the menu the whole time I was in line. I think I was just hungry and the strong barbecue smell in the restaurant was making me crave everything. I eventually landed on a barbecue burger and decided to sub the fries with collard greens to be somewhat "healthy," and also because my husband was getting fries. What's his is mine. Ordering at the register was quick. They had a nonalcoholic frozen drink option that I was tempted to get since I don't drink. I'd recommend giving it a try if you don't mind parting with $10. I think it was $2 extra dollars to get a similar drink with alcohol too. Also, there is a separate line for ordering beer, so if you have a decent-sized group like we did, maybe consider splitting up to grab a table and join the beer line. We lucked out with one of the longer tables next to the bathrooms. Side note: they have hand-washing stations separate from the area with the toilets, so super clutch if you just need to clean up before you start touching all your food. Our orders seemed to come out as they were ready, and overall maybe 15-20 minutes, which is decent considering how packed the place was. My burger was delicious. Meat was on the medium-well side, but I don't mind a little more cook as long as it's still juicy, which was the case. Cheese was melted, onion rings were crisp, bun wasn't soggy, and there was a generous bed of jalapeños under the patty. It wasn't overly spicy or anything, but it did provide a nice noticeable difference in texture. The collard greens, I would say right now, are pretty high on my list of collard greens I've had in my life, and I order them if I ever see them on any menu since it's not often I find them. It was a decent amount, but I wished there was double once I was done. As we were finishing our food, some nice staff members were quick to come clean up our dishes. We were so satisfied with our meal and drinks that we almost forgot we needed to catch an escape room!

Had an absolute blast at Mojo's. Showed up before a King's game with a party of 3. The bartenders…read moreare super welcoming and insightful about all the beers and ciders on tap. The options here are endless. Something for everyone, even non alcoholic drinks as well. There is so much seating here. What I loved most was the outside seating. Come summer time this spot will be the place to be. Over a dozen TV's make this a great place to catch a game. It's in the center of downtown, close to the memorial auditorium. Close walking distance to everything in the area. Another great thing about Mojo's is their menu. It sets them apart. The food is bomb here. I particularly liked their onion rings. Super crispy and crunchy. The onion didn't pull with each bite. The burgers here are bomb as well. I'm a big fan of this place and they sponsor my favorite sports radio channel in town, ESPN 1320, which is what brought our party in. Shout out the Chatty House! I'll for sure be back soon to grab a bite and drink with friends again.

When we arrived, it was on the lighter side, but within about an hour it started picking up and getting more lively. The food was great, the vibe was solid, and the service was on point. Everything came out in a timely manner and the overall experience was smooth. If you're in downtown Sacramento, this is definitely a spot you should swing by and check out. It's worth it.

We really enjoyed our meal here. Today was one of the hottest days we've had so far this year. We…read morewanted to dine outside. Yelp helped us find Alvaro Craft Brewery and Cocktail Bar. They have indoor seating as well as outdoor seating in front and in back. The large covered patio with misters in back was perfect for us. The food here reminded us of food we've enjoyed in Spain. We started our meal with papas bra as and shishito peppers with chorizo sausage. My wife loved the rockfish tacos. I enjoyed their sandwich special. Today it was falafel. My sandwich was slightly dry, but that was quickly fixed with the homage hot sauce on the table. My wife enjoyed her ginger lemon mocktail. I enjoyed two beers the Czech pilsner style and the Mexican lagger. Thank you. We will be back soon.

Could up the quantity a bit more on potatoes and pork cheek. 8/10 Crispy Brussels with Sun-Dried Tomato Aioli - Crispy outside layers. Sauce was delicious. Would like more crispy inside layers (texture was like "boiled"?). 7/10 Pub Chips and Caramelized Onion Dip - That dip was soooooo tasty. Chips were perfectly fried. Even better with their hot sauce. Simple but yummy. 8.5/10 Ordered their La Boheme (Czech Pilsner) and it was so crisp and refreshing. Perfect pairing for the food we ordered. Service was great and attentive; waitress checked in on us frequently. Ambiance was chill for a Saturday evening with upbeat music. We would come again!
