Drinks are fine, DJ was just okay (surprisingly), but I was most annoyed that the bartender (AJ) directed me to the front of house on a packed night for a water, when I was sitting right at the bar. I'm sure there was a water dispenser right there. A patron was kind enough to grab me the water instead after hearing the interaction. Yikes. This review is a culmination of a few lackluster experiences I've had here service-wise, btw. This latest interaction just finally made me leave a review.
How have I not wrote my review for this place!? Came here on a fluke after celebrating our anniversary at Foundation and this place was a chill environment. I guess we came when they were doing some kind of random raffle and vibe session. We stayed only a short period since we had other plans but we will definitely return for a chill night to enjoy the music and a glass of wine
Nice vibe. Respectable beer selection. Take your record nerds here and they will love the sea of LP and the rather sexy speakers.
My friend reserved the upstairs lounge for her 40th birthday and catered a taco stand outside for us. We each got a custom bracelet and the bartender would add our drinks to the birthday tab and we would eat our tacos outside. It was a great last Saturday night of December. The Kings had played a day game and won so from the patio while eating tacos we had a clear view of Golden One and the beam. The space is a millennials dream with gorgeous updated mid century aesthetic and a well balanced drink menu of local craft beer/cider and wine. The DJ was playing a mix of 80's and some stuff I didn't recognize. Unfortunately, the DJ was not willing to play hip hop which was more our scene. The bar staff were super friendly and checked up on us upstairs a few times to pick up glasses. I had a strawberry cider and after enjoying every drop, realized it was an 8% drink! Switched to a delicious lager afterwards while my spouse enjoyed a hazy ipa. Unfortunately, there is only one bathroom so the line was almost always a thing. The place was packed downstairs so it was louder but overall great party vibes. This place is great for date night, a birthday bar hop, or a solo date!
Such a cool place! My husband and I happened upon Legend Has It before going to Kings game. It was our first night out/date night since having our second child and this place was PERFECT. We enjoyed some delicious beer in such a chill and cool environment. They had a great variety of local beers on tap and other craft beers in cans. The music was great. I can't wait to come back for another night out.
I wanted to share a great local spot you might enjoy--Legends Has It. It's a small, intimate lounge known for its cozy atmosphere. They serve a curated selection of beer and wine; my personal favorite is the Lambrusco, which I highly recommend. One of the things that makes Legends Has It stand out is their rotating lineup of DJs, featuring new talent each week. The vinyl-themed décor also adds a unique and nostalgic touch to the space.
I came to Legend Has It for an Emo Nite that they were holding. This place has a cool lounge type of feel to it as all the music they're playing came from vinyls. Two stories -- first floor has the DJ, tables, and bar. Second floor has additional seating. Despite all the seating opportunities, it can get fairly busy within the space which meant that all seat are taken. Even standing, it can feel pretty tight which makes it a bit difficult to enjoy yourself. You can request songs if the DJ has it on vinyl. Drinks were mediocre. Would I be back? Possibly. Heads up that if you're looking for something w a bit more energy, this is not the place.
Went on a Thursday night - was pretty packed IMO. We couldn't find a spot to sit on the floor and got lucky with a spot upstairs. Only one restroom. But plenty of parking next to the bar. Vibes were pretty good but kinda hard to get to a bartender because that area was really packed but we made it through. Plenty of N/A options! DJ was pretty good but hoping they have more of some house/edm events next time! Happy to see a hi-fi bar in Sac
Nice spot to check out and beat the heat on a Sunday afternoon. DJ spins from 4-8pm. I pulled in around 5pm and it was already full with some limited seating upstairs and outside. Many beer canned and draft options, non-alcoholic, sake and wine options. A great spot to unwind in downtown Sacramento.
One of the top wine bars on my list now! I came by on a Friday night and was a little skeptical at first. I thought there might be a private event going on but it turned out to just be a DJ and some really great energy. This spot gives off grown, cozy vibes that I instantly loved. We originally planned to just have a glass of wine, but the atmosphere was so chill and welcoming that we ended up staying for a couple of hours and splitting a bottle. The staff made a great first impression. Super attentive and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. There's an upstairs seating area too, which is a nice option if the main floor fills up. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxed night cap, a casual date spot, or just a place to catch up with a friend over a great glass (or bottle) of wine.
Okay, we are visiting our friend out here in Sac and she brought us here and we are in love. This place is SO CUTE. The ambience is so cool with the wall of vinyls, vinyls playing, and their alcohol selection is so nice! Jae helped us and she is INCREDIBLE. She was patient with all of our questions, was super kind, and wanted to help us find a drink we'd all love! She was also so funny! And Selene was also so kind! DEFINITELY want to come back with my husband, because this place may be one of my favorite bars EVER? DEF RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. And the upstairs is a VIBE! You will not regret this!
I've had this place saved for so long and I finally got to check it out!! It's the perfect spot for a date night! We tried their organic wines and the new sake cocktails. All of it was great!!! I'm not a big drinker so the staff was super helpful in nailing down what to order. The owner especially was so amazing. He was super kind and down to earth so it was great chatting to him. And last but not least, of course, the music was amazing. My partner is super into hi-fi and collecting vinyl records, so he absolutely loved it. Will definitely come back whenever we are in Sacramento!!
I didn't know this place was here until a mutual friend was DJing so I decided to stop by on a Saturday night. Absolutely love the vibe. It's a very classic feel with wood accents throughout, a huge wall lined with records, and the Dj playing vinyl all night. Definitely a niche, cool spot near DOCO. You have to check out. I can't give them five stars because they don't have any liquor, just beer and wine right now but I still enjoyed my drink!
My friends and I came here after having dinner nearby, and it was my first time visiting. I really loved the chill, laid-back vibe of the place. The shelves on the wall were filled with vinyl records and it gave it such a cool touch. There's seating at the bar, as well as smaller tables along the wall, and there's also additional seating upstairs, which is where we decided to sit. We got a bottle of wine and shared it among the four of us, and it was the perfect spot to relax and hang out. Definitely a great place to catch up with friends or enjoy a drink or two with a date! read more

I found this place on TikTok randomly and thought it was so cool that the aesthetic revolved around a record so of course my friend and I went to check it out! We went on a Wednesday night around 8 PM, it was really chill and there were a few people here and there. They also have an upstairs seating area, which is nice and cozy as well! Service was nice and attentive, when we walked in, we were given a menu about what drinks were being served and we were given a quick overview on the days throughout the week and what events are being held in what music is being played, which is really cool! We were also told they do have a record day where you can come in and bring your own vinyl and they will play it along with other records that customers bring which is so fun! Overall, the place is super small and cozy, great aesthetic and it is in downtown so there isn't a dedicated parking lot. read more

Old school meets modern cool. Based off Japanese listening bars, this incredible downtown Sac venue has great drinks, music and vibes, but enough spaces and quiet for a conversation and quality catch up. There's beers, ciders, wines, and boozy booch .. a lovely smattering for a Sac summer night. read more

Came here on a date night with my husband. The ambience is so cute in this place and the music was on point. Haven't heard Musiq soul child in a long time. The gal that helped us at the bar gave me a recommendation for what wines to try since I really only drink sweet wines. The wine she recommended wasn't a sweet wine as they didn't have any on their list but it aligned with my palette and we had a great time! read more
I have never been to a vinyl bar and I'm so glad we got to go here while in Sacramento. The vibes were so chill and the people were so friendly. Since I rarely have a reason to make the 20 minute trek from my home in Elk Grove to Downtown Sacramento, I feel completely disconnected from the new (to me at least) and popular establishments. Thankfully, a good friend of mine keeps me in the loop whenever she discovers a place of interests. That place of interests this time around happened to be Legend Has It, Sacramento's first hi-fi bar that appeals to audiophiles and music lovers such as myself! Upon entering the establishment, I was warmly greeted by bartender MJ who was making a drink for a patron while chatting with him about a record that was currently playing. Since my friend had already gotten the party started with a glass of their natural Sauvignon Blanc, I joined the party by ordering a delicious canned sour by the name of Howzit Punch. We enjoyed the smooth sounds of soul as we sat in a dimly lit booth chatting and sipping on our drinks. At one point a song called "Girls Can't Do What the Guys Do" by Betty Wright started playing, which intrigued me because Beyonce sampled a portion of the song in her song "Upgrade U." If you're looking for a relaxing environment where you can vibe out (literally) while enjoying a few drinks, I highly recommend checking out Legend Has It! read more

Fantastic atmosphere! Chill and personable owners! Awesome menu selection! Go...seriously. Overall, this spot is a vibe. Upstairs, downstairs and outside areas. Cozy feel. Very nice selection of craft beers and natural wines. The music selection is top notch, nice vinyls, themed nights and quick service. Water is at the bar (self service), clean and modern grounds (modeled after Japanese lofi bars), passionate owners (upcoming business. Support them!) Def will return. read more
Stopped in for happy hour before an event downtown. Drink list is good and they were setting up for a DJ event that evening which looked to be a lot of fun. There is a huge collection of vinyl records and a clean modern environment with decor, furniture and plants. read more

Legend has it that the cost per beer is on the higher side for Sacramento. Legend has it that the Mexican amber beer I was sold was flatter that a 5 year old boy. Such a vibe! Great spot to hang out and enjoy some music the old school way after work in downtown. They rotate the menu periodically and great selections overall. Two stories of seating for you to choose, from the bar to a "forever alone" spot. read more
This is a cool addition to Sac. I felt like I was in a bigger city somehow. Tried one of the nonalcoholic drinks and it was delightful (raspberry glo). Seems like a fun place for date night. I stopped by to do some work since it was one of the few places open past 8 pm with wifi. Would love to come again. read more
I like this place... A lot. I wish that they did have some type of food, but this is definitely a little relaxing feel with seating and amazing music. We ordered a stout and a hazy and we cozied up upstairs in a couple of the chairs going through some computer work. If you want to veer away from a coffee shop to study or just a place to hang out with great music and have a beer. This is a great location. I would highly recommend it. read more

This vinyl bar had a great vibe. The décor, with all the vinyl records and the beautiful natural light, created a really cool atmosphere. My husband and I ventured out for a rare date night downtown to Legend has it. First bonus of this gem is that there's parking on 4th right behind the venue. We walked into the spot and were impressed with the vibe overall. Great music provided by local talented DJs, amazing sound system and lots of space to sit or stand and enjoy a drink or two. We had a reservation for the perfect little table upstairs. The chairs were comfy, yet upscale and we were able to sit, chat, people watch and have a wonderful evening. The service was superb, and the price was reasonable. We are already planning another visit! read more
Legend Has It is the place to be when you are in the mood for a craft beer, glass of natural wine, chill vibes and a hi-fi listening lounge experience. Customer service was excellent-- attentive, friendly & helpful. While pondering what type of wine to order, MJ, who was tending the bar asked me what type of wine I usually like and I shared that I was typically a red wine drinker. He offered me a taste of 2 different red options and I selected the Tessier Day Dreaming red blend. It was served chilled, full -bodied with hints of tropical fruit. Sipping the glass of wine paired with the soulful sounds of music playing in the background was the perfect pairing for a laid back start to a Friday evening. The low lit, cozy atmosphere made for a relaxing experience. I am looking forward to returning on a Saturday night to check out one their Dj's in action! read more

This place is so cute! I love vinyls, so I was excited to check this place out. My friend and I went for a Galentines date on a Thursday night and it was not busy at all. They had a DJ present who was playing lots of R&B song and the music was just great! The ambiance was chill and mellow, which paired perfectly with a glass of wine. I would definitely like to see how it is with more people, possibly on a weekend. read more
