Cute displays near the dessert area

Its a beautiful store/coffee shop with gracious owners that greet you with a smile when you walk in. Halal and a favorite spot of my daughters for coffee drinks and falafel. They have many interesting items and delicious desserts and food. We bought the chicken kabobs and the falafel plate. Service was great and we enjoyed our food. You can eat in or take to go. I need to ho back and try their beef and lamb dishes next.

Stopped in after shopping at Trader Joe's & Kohl's. This is such a cute place. Love the decor. It's quite. Tried the qaimaq chai. I had no idea what qaimaq was but I love trying new things so I ordered it then researched after I received my order. So Qaimaq chai is a rich & creamy tea made by combining strong black tea but I think this was a pink tea cuz it was pinkish. Combine it with qaimaq which is a thick clotted cream. It's A traditional drink in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. It was slightly pinkish & it was so good. Staff were friendly. You can order breakfast items or lunch like butter chicken bowl & salads & lots of sweet treats. I'll be back to try the Dubai cheesecake & the butter chicken bowl.

This is a charming place for snacks and treats. It's small, with one aisle of spices/seeds/snacks, followed by the bakery section and the register. Around the aisle is a seating area with many tables. There are also some tables outside too. They have a variety of snacks, drinks, etc. Everything in the bakery section looks delicious. The staff is friendly. They have a few pistachio desserts (roll cake/milkshake) which I love, along with Dubai Chocolate. They also sell Rose Water (which can be used to make Turkish Delight). This place is located by the Daiso store.

This local gem serves up pistachio lattes, excellent fried fish bites w/chutney dipping sauce and even mantu (think meat raviolis!) all while you can also shop for gourmet exotic middle eastern groceries. Located near Trader Joes/Ace Hardware/Daiso, this is a convenient spot to grab a bite or take a coffee break while shopping locally in Elk Grove. Enjoyed the fried fish bites, the potato stuffed flat bread with yogurt sauce on the side. These savory snacks paired perfectly with my pink cardamom latte. They also serve shakshuka for breakfast and have kababs for lunch as well. There is a bakery where you can also get fresh flatbread and other baked delicacies - like dubai cheesecake and baklava. There is ample seating if you wish to dine-in, but it is somewhat self serve area. Definitely worth visiting and snacking!

We've been wanting to try Rumis Oasis for a while. It's located in the same parking lot as Trader Joe's grocery store and the new Skecher's shoe store. With that being said, ample parking in this shared parking lot. As you enter the door, there's a register counter to you right. There's a few aisles of grocery items. Towards the back, there's where you can order a meal. There is a kiosk to make your order and pay. The lady behind the food counter was very nice. They have a beautiful dining area. It's very clean as well. I liked their pizza oven. It was a hot day out. The guy making pizza must have been melting! ;) Overall, a nice place for a quick bite!

This place is a delightful hidden gem. Quiet and restful with delicious food and a beautiful space to sit and relax. Definitely an oasis!

Didn't even realize Rumi's was located here. Wow is it good. I only ordered chicken Sambosa's since it was an unexpected stop. But they are great. They had some baked goods. While I was there they were preparing party platters of chicken, bread, roasted vegetables and kabob. They had lots of snack items. The service was great. The you g man greeted me and as I was there many other customers came in and were quickly greeted. There was a gentleman cleaning the meat/butcher area. There was no meat. I asked why there was no meat. He said today is cleaning day. Well that is good to hear that a halal butcher takes days off to clean. Nice little bakery cafe. Locally owned and operated is the best businesses to patronize. When it is time for a meal or a quick snack. You are better off finding a local business and getting real food. Glad I found this hidden gem right in our neighborhood. Great middle eastern food that I can't make at home. I am looking forward to trying the Mantu.

12/4/24- Popped in to see if I could find some goodies--- I did a review a while back but didn't see it.. Sure did find some goodies!! Actually, a customer before me- was asking for an item, but they were out. Music to my ears " we have the Dubai chocolate"... what??? I've been wanting to try this for quite some time.. I bought four Dubai chocolates-, a slice of pistachio cake- and some kind of bread pastry with dates... Update: the pistachio cake was dry- per both son's.. Price was$11.00.. Oh my! Tastes like a milk chocolate with a crispy wafer.. What's nice is they make all the items.. Hoping t up go back tomorrow before heading home..

Too good to go surprise bag. Paid $5.34 advertised value is $15. Idk about this being $15

Ordered a surprise bag from Rumi's oasis off of Too good to go app. It's advertised as $15 value for only $4.99. I understand it's supposed to be left overs but I don't think what I got was worth anywhere close to $15 in value. I wouldn't order this even for the price I paid , would you ?

I dont know how they got those stars but I would give them zero if I could. I went there on August 9th to get an Afghani burger and this was handed to me. I heard the worker talking with the owner about not having the right bread and the owner told him to be quiet and use whatever they have. Yes there is a toothpick in my burger and nope it didn't have any fries. Just couple pieces of lettuce and a piece of meat.

    I can't believe that I paid $20 for this.

Tried their lamb plates. Meats were poorly prepared with little to no any seasoning on it. The food I received was bland, old salad.

It's a clean and bright place with youthful-energy decors. It's quite stylish, including the menu. For appetizers, we ordered Mediterranean Nachos (my favorite, very flavorful, it's a must try), Mediterranean Gyro Fries (delicious) and Hummus. Three of us did the "build your own" entrees and chose wraps as our styles. Our meats choices were garlic chickens, kabobs chicken and chicken shawarma. We liked our wraps particularly their sauces. The wraps looked beautiful and clean looking. We placed our orders at the counter and the hostess was very nice. We enjoyed our foods so much that our nephew ordered some foods to go for his kids and marked this place to come again with his family.

She'd noticed my growing curiosity about Afghan cuisine from a previous visit elsewhere and gently pointed me toward Chopan Kabob House, insisting it was worth the experience. There was something comforting in that recommendation--like being guided toward a place that already held meaning for someone you trust. When I arrived, I was immediately struck by the restaurant's clean, welcoming atmosphere. The space felt intentional--nicely furnished without being overwhelming, simple yet warm. I mentioned I was ordering takeout, and the gentleman behind the counter handed me a menu. At first glance, it seemed straightforward, but the more I looked, the more it felt thoughtfully curated--each item carrying a sense of tradition and care. Wanting a proper introduction, I chose the Combination Kabob with Tikka and chicken. It felt like the right balance--a way to experience more in a single meal. I was told it would take about 20 minutes, and as I sat waiting, I found myself appreciating that detail. In a world built on speed, those 20 minutes felt reassuring. It suggested intention, freshness, and the kind of cooking that isn't rushed. When I finally brought the meal home and opened the container, I was genuinely surprised. The portions were generous--almost abundant. A vibrant salad added a refreshing contrast, while the long-grain rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked. Then there were the stars of the meal: the Tikka beef and the chicken, both beautifully prepared. Each bite carried depth--layers of spices and seasoning that felt both bold and comforting. It wasn't just flavorful; it felt rooted in something deeper, something traditional. By the time I finished, I realized this wasn't just a satisfying meal--it was an experience that lingered. There's a certain nostalgia in discovering a place like this for the first time, especially through the recommendation of someone close to you. It feels personal, almost like being let in on a secret. I'm already looking forward to returning, perhaps next time to dine in and take in the full experience. And with a menu that promises more to explore, this feels less like a one-time visit and more like the beginning of a new favorite.

It's fragrant, eye-pleasing, and a good balance of sweet and savory spices and ingredients. It surely fits to be called the national dish of Afghanistan. Mantoos (Afghan dumplings) is the must have in my family. It's filled with ground beef and onions, covered with chickpeas sauce and tzatziki sauce and sprinkled with mint. It's refreshing. Bolani (potatoes turnovers) served with my favorite chutney that's made with cilantro, vinegar and garlic. The kabobs were tender and delicious as expected.
