For those looking for more vegetarian options, i went out on a limb and tried the eggplant panini with the Lau bou house salad and it was delish! The sweetie behind the register was super helpful and knew I wanted meat so made several suggestions and was very upbeat and it was super busy she was still attentive and provided dope service. Can't go wrong with a baguette and dill sauce I feel like that's a staple at La Bou!

Fabulous! Have been a La Bou fan for many years. Hadn't visited this La Bou since leaving the area several years back, but glad I returned for some great memories. This location is better than ever. Great food & wonderful coffee. Plenty of seating & the team working the location are very pleasant.

Very polite, delicious and kind. The ambiance is excellent. Is the food organic? The food tastes organic?

I went to La Bou today to get scones. They are the best! We had apricot and lemon scones and they were fruity and moist. This is my favorite place to get scones. I the gentleman that took my order was polite and nice. He even brought our order to the table for us which I appreciated. This is a very casual atmosphere. It's a nice place to get food and hang out. Will definitely go back

The baguette and dill dressing are a must to get if your at La Bou. They're absolutely amazing. The bread is nice and soft and the drill dressing is so unique and flavorful. For this visit, I got the tomato bisque, breakfast egg sandwich, Thai tea, matcha latte, and a baguette with dill dressing to go. The teas were on the sweet side for me, but my partner loved how sweet and creamy they were. Sandwich was a miss, but the soup was yummy! Extra notes: also love that they have senior Sundays, it's such a sweet gesture to the community! Updated hours are 7am-3pm for now.

La Bou is my go to for the Chinese chicken salad and baguette with dill sauce. Anything else that I ever ordered had been meh for me. The chocolate croissants are skimpy on the chocolate, tomato bisque leans on the sour side and their Panini sandwiches have a good amount of meat, but it is often soggy by the time I get home and the drive is not that far. The service is friendly, but there's been a few times where one or two items have been forgotten and I don't realize until after I get home.

Service wasn't great. When ordering they were out of almond milk and mango for the freezes. We ordered and sat and waited about 15 minutes. I was hungry and ready for a Chinese Chicken Salad but come to find out the register server, Lily, didn't add my salad. She added my drink but not the salad. Hubby had them print the receipt to make sure we didn't pay and it was missed. I didn't feel like waiting any longer for the salad, so we left and I ordered pickup from somewhere else. Other than that the place was nice, bathroom was clean, presentation of the desserts was good. They looked delicious.

Once I entered, I could see why there were so many people trickling in, they had so many drinks I wanted to try! But I went with the banana matcha and vietnamese egg coffee. Both were delicious. I'm not in Sac much but if I were to come by this way more often, this would definitely be a place I'd pop into each time as part of the itinerary. Ambiance isn't anything crazy, its definitely spacious and a cool place to link up with friends or even do some work on your laptop. I would absolutely make my way back, especially to try other drinks!

The banana flavor paired surprisingly well with the matcha and made for a really refreshing drink. It was one of those drinks that I immediately knew I'd order again. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Between the banana matcha and my daughter's excitement over the smoking elephant, this ended up being one of those unexpectedly memorable stops we'll be talking about for a while.

Of all the croissants in the Sacramento area, this one from Mellobun is one of my top contenders for best in the city (favorite is Julian's in Folsom). The salt bread is a new discovery for me and the sourdough base also makes it stand out from traditional Asian salt breads. It has a nice crust and delicate interior that is fluffy and just the right saltiness. The Korean cream cheese was too sweet for my palate but it's always fun to try flavored versions of classic Viennoiserie. I was expecting a more savory cheese bread but this is definitely a sweet + onion flavor. Customer service is very responsive. The baked goods were a little late from scheduled pick-up and the bakery texted me to confirm new time; was missing a croissant in my box and the team quickly refunded for the correct amount of goods.

Parking was confusing, didn't realize it was in a church and there wasn't really obvious signage from the parking lot that you're in the right spot. I had to look at the other review pictures to be like okay, I am here. Interior is cute and modern, but lacking that lived in feel I prefer for coffee shops. Service was quick. The coffee itself seems to lean towards biblical (lol?) food items. Think olive oil, dates, tahini, honey. I got the Tahini Einspanner because how fun, I can get some tastes of tahini and date but the whip and syrup didn't mix well into the drink despite me aggressively trying so it just lasted like a $7 plain latte. I almost had to bite the whip because it was so thick. Seems like they're using quality ingredients so the intention is there, the executions needs some refinement.
