Overall, decent. The place was empty and the staff all looked lethargic. There were six options for donut flavors, but all were trying to be too fancy and weren't great. For example, the matcha had to be matcha and rose petals (which weren't tasty at all). Seems overpriced as well as compared to other mochi donut places. read more

5/5 for decor!! You just want to take pictures in here!!! It's the cutest spot I've seen in a long time! These special doughnuts are like no other... super soft and airy without being overly sweet. They are a little costly for what you get, but worth the special treat once in a while. The service was ok... you order on a machine and have little to no interaction with them. Then the person before me took my drink and the worker kept telling me the person I was with grabbed it.... I was solo. But eventually he re-made my drink. read more

My friends picked up a pack of 6 donuts from here to give my husband and I for a warm welcoming to the neighborhood. The mochi donuts were at the perfect consistency and very mochi in texture. My husband and I weren't sure of the flavors my friends got us but the 2 donuts that stood out to us was the cereal mochi donut for him and the pink butterfly mochi donut for me. Will definitely come by here when my husband and I are in the Elk Grove area! Shout out to my friends for bringing us donuts from here to try! read more

Very disappointing experience. We ordered two boxes and received a confirmation, but later were told that our order was never received. This shows a lack of reliability and professionalism. The customer service attitude was also poor and unhelpful. We wasted our time and ended up with nothing. Would not recommend. read more

As a mochidonut lover, this is one of my favorite spots! I like how there are staple flavors that are (mostly) always available, then weekly/seasonally rotating ones. Each time I've gone, the dough is consistent--nice & chewy, distinguishing it from the traditional American donut--and there are flavors like the powdered sugar that aren't too sweet for those who don't have an overly sweet taste. The black sesame and matcha are among my absolute favorites. The only thing I would critique is the service can be spotty, especially because you order at the kiosk but need to follow up at the counter if you order donuts. Sometimes there would be no one at the counter, and I've had experiences where the service isn't clear (they gave me my donuts and said have a nice day but didn't mention the status on my drink; not sure if they knew I had ordered one?). Overall, though, this is a must-try, especially if you've never had mochidonuts! read more

Popped in here on a whim today and was super surprised by the interior. It's very spacious, really cute, and looks like a fun place to sit and enjoy a treat. As soon as I saw the long line I knew I was at the right place and wouldn't regret my purchase. However, I really don't understand establishments that only take orders via digital kiosks. There were only 2 kiosks to order at, so it took some time to get my order in. Then you wait to be called to the counter to either pick up your order or to select the Mochi doughnuts you'd like (there was no way of inputting these specifics onto the digital order). Anyway, it's a pet peeve of mine... I feel as though this ordering method actually slows down the process as it's much faster to just speak your order to an employee instead of trying to navigate a screen. I ordered a dozen + a half dozen Mochi doughnuts and was able to take home 2 of each flavor available that day, meaning we sampled them all! The doughnuts didn't disappoint and my family all loved this special treat. I would love to try an egg drop sandwich some other time. I saw multiple people ahead of me placing an order for those. I've never heard of such a thing so it sounds intriguing and like something I might enjoy. All in all, this was a sweet surprise find that I'll make sure to keep in mind next time I'm in the area. read more

After moving here from Hawaii we were thrilled to have a mochi donut shop close by our house. It started out great, but lately every time we pick up donuts the donuts are runny. Don't place the donuts out to sell if you haven't given it time to set. Or make the donuts earlier before you open! These donuts aren't cheap and it's not fun giving to kids when the icing can get all over the damn place! Also, fix your AC! It's been 2/3 months and it's freaking summer time! Do better! read more

Mochi Dough is located inside Bober. Donuts made fresh daily with mochi flour - it's the ingredient that makes these donuts have a wonderful chew! You order your drinks or mochi donuts at one of two kiosks inside Bober. When your order is up, someone asks what flavor you'd like and they send you on your way. They rotate flavors regularly. While the dough remains the same, it's the flavor of icing that changes and they feature a flavor that is only available when you order a box of 6 or 12. At our most recent visit, the featured flavor was maple bacon with gold flakes (in celebration of the Lunar New Year). It did not disappoint nor did the other flavors we got. Black sesame is usually one of my favorite flavors but that maple bacon was crazy good! read more

Had to hit this up since it's basically part of Bober Tea, lol! Went in just before 2pm, right before it became a mad house. There were a bunch of peeps already inside, pretty much all the tables were occupied and every photo opp was being taken advantage of. I got mine in of course, haha! I do wish they put other colors in because pink is overrated and it's EVERYWHERE in here! They have 2 ordering kiosks, which is the only way you can place your order. I didn't see a menu at the counter. I ordered a 6 pack of the mochi dounuts. I completed my order at the kiosk and took a pager that beeps when your order is ready. I'd say they took about 10 minutes to get my drinks ready but the donuts were already out so that didn't take long to box up. I'm omw home so I'll have to update once I taste these yummy mochi dough rings of goodness. Customer service was great, but I left a star off because it did seem a bit chaotic in there. I feel as though they have no limit on how many people can come in. It was crowded and I'm glad I got in before the huge group of people came in. Location is in a strip mall near Kohl's. Limited parking so you may have to circle a few times. Pricing is average but my total of just over $40 still shocked me a bit, lol! All good in the hood... I pay for my yummies and this is no exception. I'll try to make another stop out here when it's less crowded. Good luck! ETA: So the verdict is: the donuts are yummy! I think my faves were the Biscotti and Black Sesame. The Matcha was good too and the Funnel Cake was a good choice if you don't want it super sweet. I didn't taste the taro because you know it's not my thing lol. Mom loved it though! The cost is $15 for 6. I'll definitely make an effort to come back on Tuesday when they have their special all day. Imho, this is a great comparison to MoDo, but MoDo is still my #1 because they always make them fresh to order. This place has them ready to go but I guess you could always nuke them for a bit if you want them warm. Overall great place to get your fix, but if you're impatient, I'd recommend going when they open or ordering online. =) read more

Drinks are overrated, the AC is NEVER on. They have their poor employees working in triple digit heat with one air conditioning fan that barely does any justice. It's so hot in there that their donuts are melting. Place is definitely over hyped and not worth the $. read more

My experience with mochi donuts, just like with regular donuts, is that freshness counts. And so far, I've tried these mochi donuts twice on different days at different times, and they were deliciously fresh with a slight lovely crisp on the outside and satisfyingly soft, chewy inside. They were everything a mochi donut should be. And I love the flavors! Both times, they had different offerings as well as a couple of repeats, so there's always something new to try. The black sesame and the fruity pebbles are two of our favs, but honestly, I haven't met a flavor I didn't like. A bonus is that the staff are friendly, and you can get a delicious bubble tea at the same time! Oh, and I loooove the ordering system (you place your order and pay at one of the terminals). The best Mochinuts I have ever had. Ok. Only Mochinuts I have ever had. Kind of a sad place. Cold, flat mochinuts...they should give the cold old ones to the homeless or toss them. Not sell them. The flavors were weird. For Easter there was one with a Peep in the middle. Then Fruity Pebbles was an option. My guess is pretty good when warm... Atmosphere awful. read more

I grew up loving apple fritters and since having to go GF, it is my most missed donut-adjacent treat. This one was smaller than a normal one, but that was fine because I could actually enjoy it without it being too big. Perfectly fluffy with apple pieces and spiced just right, it was delicious. The cruellers were nice and crispy on the outside and just sweet enough. Glazed with chocolate or regular icing, they are a perfect donut. Honestly, I felt completely insulted like you're not supposed to say things like that to your customers or even about your customers. I felt myself getting ready to go completely off on him, so I walked away and went to sit back down. He had the audacity to tell my niece some people can't handle the truth. It's so baffling to me that a manager would say something like that. I know employees sometimes say inappropriate things, but he should know better!! This was supposed to be a nice family outing and he ruined my night. Luckily I have confidence in myself and his comment didn't give me a complex or make me like I look old. It was also disappointing because I went in there specifically to get an eclair, which is normally a decent size. For some reason, it was the half of the size and the same price.

I always get the all-mozz corn dogs wherever I go (idk what it is but the half + half at any corn dog spot gives me the ick). Here, the dogs are always freshhhh and the cheese pulls are incredible. Even though they said a 10-15 minute wait, I waited maybe 5. Enough time for me to eat a donut and take a few sips of my drink. Speaking of, recently I learned that Vietnamese coffee is meant to be sipped slowly so that the cream and ice melt it down a little and the flavors marinate. Idk if that's true or not but I'm a member of the Slow Drinkers Club and, by the time I got home about an hour later, my Viet Coffee Cloud was at its best: perfectly creamy and delicious. It's now 4:30 in the afternoon and I'm going to save the rest for tomorrow which, usually, would gross me out. But CM Rachel (or is it CD now?) told me that's how it's supposed to be done!! Back to the food... I'm obsessed with the corn flakes corn dog topping: it makes the coating so crunchy and mixed with the sugary sweet... omg... 12/10. Plus, I haven't seen that topping option anywhere else! The potato topping is also great. At other places, the potato chunks are larger and can sometimes be overcooked, but here the dog was fried to perfection. In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, they had a Lucky Charms Donut and it was honestly the best flavor I've ever had. I know, I was shocked, too. The frosting had a very light berry flavor (maybe raspberry?) and the cereal on top added a nice crunch. It was gone before the corn dogs came out :D There was more seating than I recall from previous visits: a few tables and chairs inside and a few outside. There was also a selfie donut wall and a toy claw machine. Very cute! I regret not getting the Happy Meal (Drink + Donut + Corn Dog + Toy for $16) but... next time. To wrap it up, the location is great and parking is easy, so if you're with a group there are TONS of options: Chipotle, Jamba, Pieology, Greek, Crawfish, and much more!!

Stopped into Happy Mochi after being at Delta Shores for something else…read more It was my first time here and so looked over the donuts out on display and the menu, and then decided to order the following: Mochi donuts: Strawberry funnel cake Ube Churro Cookies & Cream Drink: Brown Sugar Milk Tea Boba The Strawberry Funnel Cake donut was my favorite of the 3, Cookies & Cream was ok, and the Ube Churro was I didn't try. The Brown Sugar boba drink was good as well. Overall: The Strawberry Funnel cake Donut was good, Cookies & Cream was ok. Mochi donuts are kinda expensive overall so I wouldn't get these on a regular occasion. But it was something I wanted to try.

A little disappointed on the old fashioned donuts not having much edge-crispiness (contrary to their appearance.....so kinda old donuts?). A tad too much oil held on in the apple fritter. I liked that the blueberry cake donut had a uniform blueberry taste throughout the donut. Also, these donuts aren't overly sweet so great for those who don't have the biggest sweet tooth. Friendly lady at the counter. I had zero problems with parking in the small plaza at 9 am on a weekend.

I'm pregnant and I was really craving a Maple bar and the selection at Kj. Donuts did not disappoint. It was 9 A.M. and they still had an incredible selection of fresh donuts that looked insanely Perfect. Not only was the place very clean. They were fully stocked of all donuts and drinks, and I was very Happy with my Maple bar, Maple buttermilk, chocolate milk, donut holes and some freeze dried candy! I can not wait to come back to share the donut LOVE!

I regularly bring home a loaf of sourdough from here. I also buy them to give to friends, and they love them. They told me that the jalapeño cheese wasn't spicy, but be warned...it is! At least in my opinion, and I do like spicy food. It has really great flavor, and if you don't mind the heat then you will love this bread a lot. I prefer the regular sourdough, but they sometimes run out of it. There are lots of desserts to choose from, and I feel that the prices are reasonable. The cookies are my favorite, and they are large and thick. Shout-out to Kapil who is often working when I stop by. He is so friendly and helpful. I appreciate you!

And the store is always clean and they try to refill everything they can as fast as they can but if it gets too busy I don't mind. The place can get really busy but it always feels welcoming. It's bright and has a lot of flavors but if you come too late sometimes they don't have a lot, or they've run out. The ambiance of the place has never deterred me away. She let us try samples, recommended some flavors and sizes, and made the experience even better. The place was really clean and welcoming, and I love that they stay open later than most dessert spots. I've been coming here since I was a kid, so it's nice seeing this family-owned place still around. Definitely coming back again to try more flavors.

I have gone to quite a few of these types of Boba and Vietnamese Coffee places lately…read more I do dearly love Vietnamese Coffee and this places as it's named implies is also a great bakery, great cakes along side Moon cakes and puff pastry egg tarts. It is an enjoyable and tasty place for both pastry and coffee, highly recommended. They even have Japanese gachupan machines which my girlfriend got a toy on her first try. Great place for families and young kids. Give it a try.
