5/5 for decor!! You just want to take pictures in here!!! It's the cutest spot I've seen in a long time! These special doughnuts are like no other... super soft and airy without being overly sweet. They are a little costly for what you get, but worth the special treat once in a while. The service was ok... you order on a machine and have little to no interaction with them. Then the person before me took my drink and the worker kept telling me the person I was with grabbed it.... I was solo. But eventually he re-made my drink.

    Spooky selection!

As a mochidonut lover, this is one of my favorite spots! I like how there are staple flavors that are (mostly) always available, then weekly/seasonally rotating ones. Each time I've gone, the dough is consistent--nice & chewy, distinguishing it from the traditional American donut--and there are flavors like the powdered sugar that aren't too sweet for those who don't have an overly sweet taste. The black sesame and matcha are among my absolute favorites. The only thing I would critique is the service can be spotty, especially because you order at the kiosk but need to follow up at the counter if you order donuts. Sometimes there would be no one at the counter, and I've had experiences where the service isn't clear (they gave me my donuts and said have a nice day but didn't mention the status on my drink; not sure if they knew I had ordered one?). Overall, though, this is a must-try, especially if you've never had mochidonuts!

Ordered the Chocolate Mochi Donut. It was chewy and soft. Took time for the donut even if it was in the display, wasn't busy (see pics, took 10 min since ordered on the self checkout) Great place for pictures. Nice and clean restaurant.

Mochi Dough is located inside Bober. Donuts made fresh daily with mochi flour - it's the ingredient that makes these donuts have a wonderful chew! You order your drinks or mochi donuts at one of two kiosks inside Bober. When your order is up, someone asks what flavor you'd like and they send you on your way. They rotate flavors regularly. While the dough remains the same, it's the flavor of icing that changes and they feature a flavor that is only available when you order a box of 6 or 12. At our most recent visit, the featured flavor was maple bacon with gold flakes (in celebration of the Lunar New Year). It did not disappoint nor did the other flavors we got. Black sesame is usually one of my favorite flavors but that maple bacon was crazy good!

Had to hit this up since it's basically part of Bober Tea, lol! Went in just before 2pm, right before it became a mad house. There were a bunch of peeps already inside, pretty much all the tables were occupied and every photo opp was being taken advantage of. I got mine in of course, haha! I do wish they put other colors in because pink is overrated and it's EVERYWHERE in here! They have 2 ordering kiosks, which is the only way you can place your order. I didn't see a menu at the counter. I ordered a 6 pack of the mochi dounuts. I completed my order at the kiosk and took a pager that beeps when your order is ready. I'd say they took about 10 minutes to get my drinks ready but the donuts were already out so that didn't take long to box up. I'm omw home so I'll have to update once I taste these yummy mochi dough rings of goodness. Customer service was great, but I left a star off because it did seem a bit chaotic in there. I feel as though they have no limit on how many people can come in. It was crowded and I'm glad I got in before the huge group of people came in. Location is in a strip mall near Kohl's. Limited parking so you may have to circle a few times. Pricing is average but my total of just over $40 still shocked me a bit, lol! All good in the hood... I pay for my yummies and this is no exception. I'll try to make another stop out here when it's less crowded. Good luck! ETA: So the verdict is: the donuts are yummy! I think my faves were the Biscotti and Black Sesame. The Matcha was good too and the Funnel Cake was a good choice if you don't want it super sweet. I didn't taste the taro because you know it's not my thing lol. Mom loved it though! The cost is $15 for 6. I'll definitely make an effort to come back on Tuesday when they have their special all day. Imho, this is a great comparison to MoDo, but MoDo is still my #1 because they always make them fresh to order. This place has them ready to go but I guess you could always nuke them for a bit if you want them warm. Overall great place to get your fix, but if you're impatient, I'd recommend going when they open or ordering online. =)

I ordered the Churro, Funnel Cake, Chocolate, & Raspberry Garden Mochi Doughnuts.

Everything about this experience was so nice! The staff are friendly & answered all my questions, the mochi doughnuts were delicious, & the Thai was so refreshing! It was also amazing that they had merch available! I had to get me the Boba Ears & I have NO regrets! I 100/10 recommend for the vibe & the deliciousness waiting for you! I'm definitely adding this to my frequent flyers list!

Just look at this. Already looking scrumptious! I can't wait to try! I am obsessed with their donuts :)

The vibes here are amazing. I always come here for the donuts, it's a must. Th environment is really clean and calming

Black sesame, taro, fruity pebbles, s'mores, chocolate Rice Krispies, and pumpkin spice. All delicious!

My experience with mochi donuts, just like with regular donuts, is that freshness counts. And so far, I've tried these mochi donuts twice on different days at different times, and they were deliciously fresh with a slight lovely crisp on the outside and satisfyingly soft, chewy inside. They were everything a mochi donut should be. And I love the flavors! Both times, they had different offerings as well as a couple of repeats, so there's always something new to try. The black sesame and the fruity pebbles are two of our favs, but honestly, I haven't met a flavor I didn't like. A bonus is that the staff are friendly, and you can get a delicious bubble tea at the same time! Oh, and I loooove the ordering system (you place your order and pay at one of the terminals). Every single food/drink place should do this. Apple Pay for the win!

Beautiful box of mochi donuts picked up today to celebrate a birthday! Can't wait to try all the flavors!

Best tea in town, great service and clean environment taste treat after the gym. Been coming here a lot.

I dont have photos of what I got for valentines day but remmeber them being ok but nothing mind-blowing Maybe its just the DOCO one that sucks but I went to give them another chance the day before mother's day and sorely regretted it. I got the matcha croissant ive been hearing about, the new blueberry cream croissant and the mango passionfruit entremet. The Croissants were a huge flop. Blueberry had barely enough filling inside-the cream itself was tasty but croissant was rough in texture and not flaky. Matcha was a bit more flaky and had more filling-I wouldn't say GENEROUS amount as some have said but maybe I just got a bad one. The cream was too subtle -it was more like vanilla with a hint of matcha. The entremet was the only one that didnt suck-it was delicious but again I wouldn't say anywhere in Sacramento has wowed me yet with their entremets compared to places in the bay except for the ones that ginger Elizabeth has had in the past-the flavor itself was on point, i will say the texture of the entremets have a majority layer of the jelly part-if they could perfect the variety of layers you're supposed to get in each bite I would be more impressed as thats the whole point of enjoying an entremet. Honestly I should have just gotten one pastry to try in one day as they are pricey-i paid 31 not including the tip fot my pastries, and in this economy one cannot waste that much on disappointing sweet treats lol

Rick's was the only place open late that had actual desserts. I mainly ate their cakes. They looked amazing. But I really did not enjoy them. Too dry. Just not good, compared to other bakeries in town. Over the years, Rick's remained a Sacramento staple, and when they opened up their new location in Midtown, the dessert community welcomed them back and embraced their sweet offerings, bigger space, and late night hours. I never went til just a couple weeks ago. Around 9pm on a Friday night I was craving banana cream pie and the husband wanted cherry pie. On Yelp search, Rick's came up as the top choice that was open. So we went and stood in the long line. The place was crowded and loud. Lively and busy vibe. Line moved at a good pace and the staff helping were nice but hurried. So we took our lil pies to go. We both liked our chosen pies. Now I know what to order if I go back to Rick's. Pies over cakes. Café de Olla is a classic Mexican coffee that offers a well-balanced blend of coffee, cinnamon, and brown sugar, often served with heavy cream to give you a comforting and energizing boost. Traditionally, it's even served at funerals as families celebrate the passing of a loved one into a better life. It's meant to be warm, rich, and meaningful. However, the café's version was far from that. The counter staff overpromised their Café de Olla, but it tasted terrible. When I asked to switch to a mocha because of how bad the coffee was, their friendly smile quickly disappeared. They didn't offer a replacement or try to make it right. Instead, I had to pay again for the mocha just to finish the coffee break with my wife. Very disappointing experience. It was an easy decision not to come back. If you're going to sell poor-quality coffee, at least stand behind it and fix the problem instead of charging customers twice. Promotes well in facebook- HELL NO not again.
