The speciality donuts
Amber N.

I gave in coming here because I saw this place go viral on TikTok. I love donuts and I was interested in the pandan donut. I came here early morning on a week day and it was empty. The place is spacious inside but I don't think there were any tables inside. I ordered the pandan donut and she asked me if I wanted to have the regular or with the sticky rice. I never heard Pandan sticky rice on a donut ($8) so I wanted to try. I also got the ube donut ($4). I do think these donuts are kinda pricey but since they're unique, it's expected. The donut itself is so soft and the frosting is so creamy. The pandan flavor was so rich and it paired well warmed up. I even had the ube donut the next day and it was still very moist and soft. I think this is probably best donuts in town. I do wish they had matcha though, I want to try that next time it's in rotation.

One of the best donuts I've ever had!! The workers are also super fast and efficient. They have their system down. Always gotta stop by here before leaving Elk Grove :)

Mango sticky rice donut so sweet and yummy
Theresa G.

The friendliest yet trendiest donut shop around Elk Grove. Their people are always happy and fast and have great recommendations. I go for their Mango line of donuts but the cinnamon rolls and apple fritters are still my favorites. The mango sticky rice donut is a sugar bomb of major deliciousness!! Dude so creative and innovative. The mango sago was even more tasty than the previous in my opinion. I loved it so hard! They usually have a line but like I said they are fast and efficient. I came home and had half of each mango donut with a fat glass of ice-cold milk. OMG thats how it's done!!! Beautiful and delicious donuts for a special treat.

Ceremonial Jasmine Matcha

The food there is very rich, the chew Dubai chocolate donut was definitely on the sweeter side for me, but for anyone else that has a sweet tooth this would be perfect. I also got the ceremonial jasmine matcha which is very delightful and would definitely come back again for that. The service was quick and the workers there were really nice and helpful when I asked some questions. The ambiance was very chill and open like how a bakery is and they're very quick on their feet. Definitely would recommend

The doughnuts here are amazing . I don't consume them all the time nor do I eat lots of doughnuts, the when I do I believe Elk Grove donuts is the local gold standard. A lot of specialty doughnuts that they create as trends develop. I know my first experience with Dubai chocolate was with their Dubai doughnut and it was delicious. Local family owned, I would definitely check this spot out if you're looking for uniquely diffrent flavors compared to traditional doughnut offerings. They offer diffrent coffee and drink. Typically paired or similar flavor to their unique doughnuts. Imagine a Dubai coffee or mango stick rice drink.

EG donuts just dropped their most recent new flavor: young coconut pandan! Pandan is such a nostalgic flavor, so they definitely hit the mark on flowing good memories with their latest pandan drop. I got the young coconut pandan donuts and the young pandan coconut sticky rice donuts, and I even tried for their coconut matcha. everything was an absolute 10/10! The service was amazing too, they got our drinks out so fast. Plus, I feel like EG donuts is known for their beautiful presentations of their dessert and drinks!

Mango Sticky Rice donut and Cookie Butter Matcha

Bit into the Mango Sticky Rice donut and immediately let out a "whoa!" My favorite donut from here so far! I liked the Cookie Butter Matcha because the matcha flavor isn't too strong, and she made it so fast!

Finally made it in to try this donut shop after seeing it all over social media, and it definitely lived up to the hype in some ways. We picked up two Dubai Chew Cookies, which I really enjoyed. The mochi exterior gave them a fun texture and they were surprisingly good. We also tried their Mango Sago donuts, and while they were definitely different from your typical donut, they were unique and delicious. To round things out, we got a classic sprinkle donut, a chocolate glazed donut, and they even threw in three donut holes, which was a nice surprise. For drinks, we ordered the Dot Cake Coffee Latte ($9) and the Dot Cake Matcha Latte ($8). The drinks were decent, but both had way too much ice. The matcha latte tasted more like milk than matcha, which was a little disappointing. Altogether, our order came out to around $54, which feels pretty pricey for donuts and drinks. Overall, I'm glad we finally gave this place a try. The specialty donuts were creative and tasty, and you can tell they put effort into making something different. That said, because of the price point, it's probably more of an occasional treat for me rather than a spot I'd visit regularly. Definitely worth checking out at least once if you're curious

Elk Grove Donuts is my go-to! They were promoting their matcha donuts for a limited time so I had to get them. I got the matcha tiramisu donut and strawberry matcha donut. Matcha tiramisu: Less sweet in comparison to strawberry matcha. There was a lot of cream on top and a custard type of cream on the inside. If you're a hardcore matcha fan, this donut is for you. Matcha strawberry: I preferred this one. The swee

The mango series donuts showed up on my IG feed, so knew we had to give them a try. We went to the shop at around 10am on a Sunday - no line and we were served quickly. All the donuts looked very appealing, so decisions were hard. We ended up ordering the Mango Sticky Rice, Mango Sago, Ube Coconut, and Dubai Chocolate donuts. Also ordered a couple of the chewy Dubai cookies. The donuts were about $6 each. Hubs noted the way the donuts were decorated were like pieces of art. As for the taste, they were good! My fave was the Ube Coconut. The mango ones were good too; the mango flavor really came through. They both tasted pretty much the same - just that one had sticky rice and the other had sago. The donuts were soft and not too sweet. If you like chocolate, you'll love the Dubai Chocolate donut. The chewy Dubai cookie is like a stuffed mochi - quite sweet. If craving sweets, I'd return again, especially for the ube donut. They also have a drink menu that looked interested that I'd like to return to and try.

Apple fritter with a few specialized donuts. This ran me $42.50.
Nick C.

ASK how much the donut you want is or you maybe surprised about the price. I seen too many people come in and don't realize a specialize donut will run $7.50+. They don't label the price or name directly in front of the donuts. EGD makes some really good and creative donuts. The donuts taste fresh and are very airy, not cake like. They don't usually sell out early unless it's an initial release of a new donut. Service is good, the line goes pretty quick and there's usually two people helping if it gets busy. They don't have labels on the donuts so you'll need to ask them how much. The prices are shown on top by the ceiling but you won't know which donut correlates to which price. Overall good donuts with a tad bit higher pricing. I spent about $43 bucks for 6 donuts and a dozen donut holes. My main thing to get here is just the donut holes and regular donuts.

Isnt she lovely?
Hedy R.

Ive reviewed this shop in the past but i was inspired to write another just for their new creation the mango sticky rice donut! I know it looked good in the pictures but i didnt know it was this good hahaha i think im gonna have to say this is the best fancy elevated donut i ever had! Its stunning to look at with the flecks of gold and fushia on top and sesame seeds scattered as well. The mango cream is light and not too sweet, the donut is fluffy like always but what took it over the top was there was actually sticky rice and a mango puree when you bit in!!! Like what?!? I bow to you on this creation -good job, ang galing! jalhaess-eoyo, bien hecho! Looking foward to your future creations.

*Women Owned* Great variety of donuts, breakfast sandwiches, hot drinks, coffee, milk and other cold beverages. There is something for everyone. I'm fond of the cinnamon rolls, old fashioned glazed cake donuts and the chocolate bars. Friendly women work here (and a brother), quick service, efficient for as busy as they are, seldom wait over 5 minutes even when customers are lined up outside the door. Competitive prices. Take out obit, no sitting inside or outside. This is absolutely the best place to buy donuts in Elk Grove!

Super cute Holiday Donuts with the following designs: Candy canes, Penguins, Reindeer, Snowman, Santa, and Gingerbread House.

Ask the Community - Elk Grove Donuts

Are there mini donuts?

They have beautiful donut holes...

How much is the strawberry Dubai cup?

$15 Strawberry Dubai Chocolate Cup comes filled to the brim with fresh strawberries, a layer of crispy knafeh, topped with crushed pistachios, rich pistachio butter, and finished off with a smooth layer of milk chocolate.

Is the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup available during the weekdays or only weekends like the donuts?

I stopped by on a Friday morning and they had both available.

Are you open Christmas Day?

Yess from 5am-2pm

Do they offer vegan options?

No vegan options

Do they sell cronut holes?

They don't but their donut holes are delicious! Highly recommend the ube filled donut holes - they're available randomly (follow their IG) but you can also place custom orders ahead of time for them.

Do they serve vegan options?

Sorry, we don’t have any vegan donuts at the moment

What is the name of this business? It states Sport Clips, but the reviews talk about donuts.

Elk Grove Donuts, next door to haircut place. Other shops in this tiny center.

Do you offer vegan donuts?

No they do not.

Do you serve mochi donuts?

No, they don't!

Do they have any vegan donuts?

nope i wish.. first place in elk grove to have vegan donuts will have my business asap

Did you make birthday cakes? Do you have a book of different cakes? Or do you only make custom orders cakes?

Hi, if you are looking for a traditional birthday cake, we do not offer that. We do offer a "cake" donut which is a much denser cake than a traditional raised donut make with yeast. Let me know if that answers your question.

This small bakery on the corner of Stockton Blvd and Baker Avenue is so cute. They have a few parking spots along with street parking on Baker ave. I love that they also have vegetarian and vegan options complete with a vegan cream cheese. The Loxann is my favorite but I always keep an eye on their specials to see if there's something new to try. If the pastrami is available- GET IT!! The pastrami is so flavorful and a real treat whenever it's on the menu. The empanadas are also so tasty and they have sweet and savory options. I'm more of a savory fan, but the guava one is so good! The seating here is all outdoors, but it is really cute, comfortable and welcoming. The one featured in my review is the classic Chilean, which has become one of my faves. It has mince, olives, raisins, and a few other yummy ingredients. Onto the coffee! This pistachio latte is my favorite pistachio flavored drink I've had from anywhere in the greater Sacramento area. That's saying a lot seeing as we have a million and one coffee places here. It's creamy and gives the right amount of caffeine to your system. The seating is all outdoor on a nice cozy patio setting. There are some picnic tables with umbrellas near the parking lot as well. There's parking stalls but the lot is on the smaller side! If you can't find parking in the lot, there's plenty of free street parking. All in all, this bakery should stay for many more years to come. Thank you forgotten bakery!

It's a small coffee truck tucked into a tiny lot next to another business on Elk Grove Florin Road in between Bond Road and Elk Grove Blvd. Even though there's only 2 people working, their service was professional and courteous. At first I was wondering why they took someone's order then stepped away to make drinks before they thanked us for our patience and came back a few minutes later to take the orders for the person in front of me then myself. I'm not a coffee drinker but I thought I'd try their hot chocolate and banana muffin. Their hot chocolate was actually hot and stayed hot much longer than most other places' hot chocolates. It had a really creamy cocoa taste which I loved. Their banana muffin with walnuts was flavorful as well. I kind of wish they offered the option for warm muffins as mine was cold but it was still good. The only negative I could possibly think of is their parking situation. I was fortunate enough to be on my bike but it was kind of worrying to see cars trying to enter and exit. Maybe 3 or 4 cars tops can park in their tiny lot and I witnessed people constantly honking at each other while trying to enter and exit. However, that has no bearing on my review of their food and service. Overall, I enjoyed my little visit here. I'll have to try their giant chocolate chip cookie next time with a nice cup of hot cocoa.

I usually stay away from drinks with dairy (lactose intolerant, LOL) but my daughter ordered my drink and gave me the: "just try it" look. And boy was she right! The coffee they use cuts through but the white chocolate created a smooth creamy aftertaste. Soooo good! The pugliese bread is my favorite as it is soft, fluffy, and taste delicious! The sourdough is also yummy and has a light airy consistency.  The sandwiches are made with the fresh baked bread and are delicious! Even though the store opens at 6am, the bread is not ready until 8-9am, therefore it is best to order a sandwich a couple hours after the store opens for the optimum selection of bread. I once made the mistake of ordering a sandwich at 7am and was only presented with two bread options: sliced bread or focaccia. I selected the focaccia and although the bread was tasty, it made for a very soft and ultimately soggy sandwich.  There is a large prepared/hot food section that is self-serve. On one occasion while I was selecting a soup to purchase I witnessed an employee wiping up the spilled food from the counter and putting it back into the large food tray. It was absolutely nauseating and I immediately questioned if I should even purchase the soup given the lack of proper food cleanup/handling.  The grocery items cost much more than other grocery stores for the same exact item. Nugget seems to carry a variety of high-quality ingredients and typical well-known brands. The cost of produce and meat is much higher than other grocery stores, although the meat is typically sourced from local farms.  During Thanksgiving Nugget carries a large selection of high quality turkeys. There are a few turkeys that are sourced from local farms that are advertised as natural, antibiotic free, and free range. When purchasing a Turkey for Thanksgiving it is always advised to call and preorder as the high quality turkeys sell out fast.
