I usually don't do this. My aim is help Faria improve their product, and keep on selling good stuff. Faria's traditional croissant in 2025 was top notch and comparable to croissants in Paris, it was THAT good. Better than even Bay Area croissants. It was fluffy, buttery and flakey. With the right amount of butter ratio. But something changed this year. Now it's flat, quite dry, w/ lowered butter ratio, and higher sugar content. Like Faria decided to cut corners? Sorry, if this is wrong. But it's now a MID croissant, when it was damn near perfect. I tried it a few times this year, just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. But obvious recipe change. What happened, FARIA?!?!?!?! When feedback was given under comments on their IG, they also blocked me. Weird. Why the defensiveness? Again this review is left w all due respect to what was a perfect croissant. No need to change a great product.

Stopped by this coffee and bakery spot in Sacramento and had such a great experience. The atmosphere is warm, clean, and really inviting . Perfect if you want to sit, relax, or catch up with someone. The coffee was smooth and well made, and the pastries tasted fresh and high quality. I also liked that they have a dog-friendly patio, which makes it even better if you want to bring your pup and enjoy some time outside. Ordering was super easy too You can place your order on a tablet inside, which makes everything quick and convenient. What really stood out to me was the overall vibe. It feels like a place you can come back to regularly, whether it's for a quick coffee or to spend some time unwinding. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

We came here twice over the last 2 weeks. we love their lattes and pastries. The place is spacious and has lots of tables. We ordered their Cherry mocha, black sesame latte, mocha, cortado, cookies, canelle, bun, smoked salmon with bread, cakes, etc. They are all delicious. The latte is smooth and came out with beautiful latte art. You can request less sweet. The place is easy to order through their tablet. And the staff are efficient in getting the orders fast.

The ambiance the bread and the drinks were perfect. Came here spontaneously on thursday morning and it was not very busy. I got a mocha which was delicious. I also ordered a pork floss bun, ham and cheese croissant, and almond crossiant. I was not planning on staying to eat my pastries but when I felt that the pork floss bun was still warm I sat down to enjoy it! It was amazing. Will be back to try the miso loaf!

Love this bakery! Large space indoor and outdoor. I'm usually an iced coffee girly but the Black Sesame Kouign Amann Latte that only comes hot is to DIE FOR! It's amazing, deff a must try. It's so good I came back literally the next day to drink it again but this time in a mug. The lattes are so gorgeous and the ham and Swiss has Dijon in it, with soft inside and crispy outside. The people who work here are all so lovely and the space is inviting, and clean bathrooms. Plenty of parking to find along the streets and lots to look at in the area within walking distance. A place that will quickly become part of your rotation once you visit!

I can see the love of bread here. Their ultimate deliciousness of their baked goodness comes through once you sink your teeth into their almond croissant, peach & lavender croissant cup, canele, sugary morning bun...awww do I need to go on? It was our very first time visiting this bakery & most likely not our the last. My wife was chitchatting with the lady in front of her in line curious as to what she was going to order? Come to find out she convinced my wife to buy that peach & lavender croissant cup which was the supreme item that day in the bakery case! They did have savory baked items too plus the morning bun which she have had at Camellia coffee. Now that sugary bun was way too sweet for her & hurt her teeth which was the original reason why we hadn't visited here earlier. She didn't have that issue at all with the other pastries. Go figure. We now understand the long lines here waiting to purchase those most tasty treats. Our iced coffee & iced tea were just average & nothing special but that would not deter us for not returning to the storefront again. Service & ambiance was good. Parking could be a challenge. They did have little outdoor patio seating as well as little indoor seating inside. Their storefront is skewed inside so it makes for awkward seating. But you can always take your goodies to go. Our disappointment was we just didn't buy enough! Ok that peach & lavender croissant cup is calling us!!! It was such a pleasant surprise unlike something we never had before. A must repeat. No wonder that other female customer was there in line for it!!! Not surprised Faria Bakery is at Midtown Farmers market & now a brick & mortar location in Folsom! Lucky them! Now why are they not in Elk Grove??? We are waiting!!!

The almond croissant looked good, but it was too well done. I was expecting a flaky crust with a soft and chewy center, but the entire croissant was hard. It was like eating a cracker. The middle was filled with a sweet almond spread. I tried to like it, but I was disappointed. 6/10.

First time to the new location and it is fantastic having so much more room for people to sit, stay and enjoy(e). Our favorite bakery in the entire country, an be sure to sit down and try their a Turkish Eggs and McEgg for fantastic brunch items, then load up on pastries to take home. If you're geeks like us, get a to-go coffee and sit out front, watching the bakers at work through the window before you leave.

Visited their popup at the midtown farmers market. Always heard of them and wanted to try. I tried the morning bun and black sesame kouign amann and the morning bun. Total was 12$. Bakeries are lwk expensive sadly, but i would buy it again. The kouignn amann was soo good, not too much black sesame flavor but it was buttery and sweet and still very crisp after a couple hours i wish i bought more lols. Similarly the morning bun was still fresh and crisp, the filling was suppper cinnamony lol but still good.

Faria is a new must when I'm in Sacramento! Came by for a team breakfast and I loved the Turkish Eggs! Such a beautiful mix of flavors. I loved the spiced yogurt-base and consistency of the sunny-side eggs. The baguette was nice and crispy. It came highly suggested by the staff and I couldn't disagree. The bakery is also beautiful with great lighting and tiled table tops. Hoping to buy from the bakery on my next trip!

Famous for their bread! This cozy spot offers a variety of pastries and coffee, and sliced pizza for lunch. They also sell their famous breads here. If you try to buy their bread at the farmer's market, you will need to wait in long lines! Although a bit overpriced, their products are clearly of good quality and highly sought after.

I've had Faria Bakery pastries in the past but this was our first time dining in at their bigger location next door to the original one! It's such a great space and they have a nice big patio that I hope to enjoy once the weather warms up again. They have such a yummy brunch menu! We came for the McEgg sandwich but sadly it wasn't available so we had to settle on the miso toast. The jam was good but just wasn't much of it! I also tried out the matcha chia pudding, which was tasty but the passionfruit was very overpowering, and you couldn't taste the matcha unless you ate the side without passionfruit. The highlight was the morning bun, so fresh and chewy in the middle! Even though the food wasn't exactly ideal, we really enjoyed our drinks! The tiramisu latte was exactly that - creamy tiramisu on top of smooth coffee. I really liked my pumpkin spice matcha too! It was really enjoyable as a hot version, and all the spices come through. Overall I still want to come back to try more of their featured brunch items and hopefully bring the rating back up!

So that's exactly what we did. For my sandwich I chose the Corti special. Basically you're able to choose your bread the toppings and some of the other condiments but you are not able to choose your mean. The person making your sandwich decides what they're going to put in it based on the different toppings and condiments you add to your sandwich. I will say that the service was quite quick there were four other people ahead of me and I will say I probably got my sandwich within 7 to 9 minutes. This was perfect time for me because I had never been to this specialty store before so I took that time to browse the area and the different aisles to understand what were some of the things sold there. I will say the space was surprisingly filled with items that were extremely high quality but reasonably priced. Also all the individuals working there were quite friendly they said hi and asked if I needed any help or assistance multiple times from different people. Now the sandwich itself I will say it did live up to the hype that was being tossed around all of Instagram. It was just so high quality when it came to the ingredients the bread was super fresh and each bite just had the perfect balance of meat to bread to condiment ratio. I highly recommend coming to try one of these sandwiches and one thing I didn't say earlier was at 9:00 a.m. it is not that packed so you definitely can get it early and again have it for your lunch later on.

Their ravioli is pretty famous and reminds me of an upgraded version of the nostalgic soft, square beef raviolis that I grew up eating. If you don't want to commit to the entire box of take-home ravioli, you can buy it by smaller tubs from the deli. After 20-30 mins, your sandwich should be ready for pickup. The workers there are so friendly and provide great service. They genuinely seem to like their jobs. We got one guy helping us out from one end of the deli to the other end and he was so patient and happy the entire time. There was a sweet lady handing out cheese samples as well. Everything I tried was so delicious. I especially loved how thin they slice the charcuterie meats where they are translucent when held up to the light. Can't wait to go back for their fresh pastas and homemade sauces.

Were these chips hand-carved by artisans somewhere? Blessed by monks in the moonlight? I'm genuinely curious. I ordered the club, and I swear there was maybe one slice of turkey and a single, lonely piece of lettuce in the entire thing. The bun, however, was enormous, so the overall experience was like eating a fluffy bread pillow with a whisper of sandwich somewhere in the middle. Honestly, the sandwich felt a bit like a mime, the idea of a sandwich was there, but the substance was invisible. I even wondered if maybe the fillings weren't hungry themselves. By the end I felt less like I had eaten lunch and more like I had participated in a sandwich-themed illusion. Sadly, it looks like I'm Togo's-bound from here on out. I always root for unique local spots, but this felt more like a "Shamwich" than a sandwich. Tough times when the hungry leave hungry. Poor sand-wich-ship indeed.

Great place for a sandwich. Love the location and the park right across the street. Lots of…read morechoices. Our sandwiches were delicious and nice sized! Their cookies looked amazing, too. Staff were friendly. Sandwiches didn't take long to make and they brought them out to our table. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Ike's is a convenient sandwich spot in midtown with tons (like an entire menu on a wall) of…read moresandwich options. Service is as fast as it can be during lunch hour rush, and I haven't been disappointed yet with my orders. The workers have always been helpful and answered any questions about the menu or even helped with recommendations. The ambiance isn't anything special. It's like most sandwich spots with tables, chairs and a restroom for customers. You're probably not pulling out your laptop to do any work or catch a vibe there unless listening to music and sending emails in a sandwich restaurant is your thing. My go-to order is the Amuna's Tuna on Dutch crunch with everything on it except jalapeños. If you're feeling a little lucky, you can get a combo meal with chips and a drink. They also sell big cookies. You also get a nice caramel apple sucker candy with your order. Like most restaurants these days, and especially restaurants in midtown, you're looking at $15-$20 for a sandwich and combo. It's pricey.

I'm likely in the minority in my opinion, but bear with me. I'm torn between a 3 and a 4, and…read moresticking with a 3 because this shop just didn't measure up ... to me. For starters, Ike's has its own way of doing things: plain mayo is not their thing. Only way to get plain mayo on a sandwich is to get lucky that there's a smidgen still left in a jar in the fridge after they prepare their house spread. They mix GARLIC and gawd knows what else for spices to make their Ike's sauce, so allergies beware. They offer plain mustard, but not plain mayo? For seconds, the sandwich bread is not up to the challenge of holding together the mountain of fillings inside. Pics prove my point. I want to eat a sandwich with my hands, not a plastic fork (or a shovel). And I don't want to wear it, not in public. Proportions, people! One size does not fit all. Now, in fairness, the meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato were fresh, chilled, and flavorful. However, IMHO $2.00+ to add equivalent of half an avocado is robbery when a whole avocado is $1 in the market. Fortunately I arrived when there wasn't another person in the store so I was able order up a plain ham and cheese sub with L, T, and A. The counter person was patient as I attempted to navigate the menu board. I communicated my wish for a simple sandwich and it arrived, albeit ridiculously overstuffed and above my budget expectations. Props for kindness and understanding. My first visit to any shop is always testing how well they do basics. So far, I'm not an Ike's fan. I'm no newcomer to sub sandwiches. At 82, and being a Massachusetts native, I've been a sub girl for at least 75 years, ever since I could wrap my fingers around the perfect sub roll. For more adventurous sandwich people, go for broke! This is your place!
