We came across this place only because the restaurant next door was closed. We decided, why not check it out? I love Indian food! When we walked in, we were greeted by a very nice girl who was very helpful. She explained the different sweets and dishes since we had a few questions and were curious about what they offered. The desserts behind the glass looked so pretty, a sweet haven! We ordered the butter chicken entree along with garlic naan, a mango lassi, and a samosa. The samosa was a really good size, actually bigger than most places I've been to. The food was alright overall, not bad. I'm glad we stumbled upon this place. Today on Feb 16, 2026 a round 1:00 PMStopped here today during my road trip after checking out a bunch of nearby spots and trying to pick somewhere worth stopping. This place had really good reviews, so I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. First thing I noticed walking in was how clean and organized everything was. It's not a huge place, but it feels welcoming and comfortable, like a small family-run business where they actually care about customers. The guy who helped me said his name was Shan (hope I got that right), and he had an Om tattoo on his hand. He was super friendly, patient, and welcoming from the start, which made the whole experience feel relaxed. Service was quick and my food came out hot and fresh always a big plus when you're on the road and hungry. I ordered pani puri and Amritsari kulcha. The pani puri had great flavor tangy, refreshing, and really satisfying. The kulcha was honestly the highlight: soft, well stuffed, cooked perfectly, and tasted fresh and authentic. You could tell it wasn't rushed or reheated. Before leaving I also grabbed some sweets to go and tried a milkcake . Everything was really good, but the milk cake especially stood out rich, soft, and perfectly sweet without being too heavy. Definitely one of the better ones I've had. The price was super reasonable as the portion size was very large. Overall, really solid experience good food, great service, clean place, and a nice vibe. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is just because I personally save that last star for places that completely blow me away but this one comes very close. This place is so great! I can only speak to the bakery treats, but I am sure the food is great. I have not had Indian sweets in over a decade and this week I was visiting Sac, and stumbled upon this place. The burfee and chamcham were so delicious and I loved how many different flavors they had. The best part was they told me that can ship some of those treats out of state, so I can't wait to take advantage of that! The staff were so friendly and answered any and all questions I had. I came here to get a snack to go for my sister and I and got the samosas. The price was totally reasonable, 4 pieces for $8.90 after tax. I was surprised when I opened the bag because the samosas were bigger than I thought, almost the size of a baseball!! Inside it were potatoes, peas, and paneer. It was so delicious with the chutneys as well. At the store, there were a wide variety of desserts and they even had freshly juiced oranges, carrots, and pineapple! Everything is made fresh in house and to order. The guy at the front taking my order was very nice and was great at telling me about their business. There was plenty of seating inside as well! It's hard to tell this is actually a restaurant based off of the name, but we were next door and noticed their photos of meals on their windows so we stopped in to grab some takeout. When you walk in there is a whole case of all types of really pretty Indian desserts! The menu is down at the end of the counter. We ordered two butter chicken rice bowls and naan to go. I thought it was odd that they didn't have us pay until it was done. But while we were waiting I asked to pay already, so that we could just go when the food was ready. It was hot and stuffy inside and there is barely room to wait in there unless you're going to take up a table for dine-in guests. The chef had brought it over to me when it was ready though which was nice because it was difficult for me to get over to the counter with a stroller since the aisles are very narrow. Portion was kinda small, it's best for lunch or a small meal, but at least it was under $10. I only had about 5 chunks of meat in mine. The sauce and flavor was good though and not too spicy. The naan is a very large portion and you get two pieces, but it's also on the thin side and not as fluffy as I would like. The food is awesome. It's some of the best indian food out there in the sacramento region and the fact it isn't super bust saddens me. I want everyone from sacramento to try their food as it is amazing and some of the best authentic indian food in sacramento and in the elk grove region. I'm a big fan of this place because of their fish, pakora and samosas. They've got some of the best fish pakora's I've ever tasted! My kids are huge fans too. The owner is incredibly nice and goes out of their way to help. I've tried their chicken tandoori, and it's delicious as well. We've never actually sat down and eaten there. Wow this place is such a hidden gem! While only being open for 3 months I really hope this place does really well with its future here. Such a large selection of delectable sweet treats I didn't even know where to start! The gentleman behind the counter was so sweet and helpful while helping us select some treats we've never seen or heard of before. They sell these treats by weight and the pricing to me is kind of under charged! Each piece taste like it was made with love. The colors just pop and look amazing in a variety box. We went there for lunch, and food is average, but they do have good indian sweets selections .but I find that pretty odd that they only offer bottle water for $1.49,(no glass of water like at any other food establishment) and I believe this the only restaurant I went to which do not offer free glass of water with meals, so just be aware .I do think they have every right to make their own policy about charging for something that is free, almost at every food establishment in this area, but I THINK THEY DO NEED TO some how TELL CUSTOMER UPFRONT BECAUSE THIS IS UNCOMMON AND CUSTOMERS GET SURPRISED AND THIS SITUATION CAN BE AVOIDED. I would even go further to say this was probably one of the best dishes I have ever even had in my life. Pani Puri is an Indian street dish and is a great light introductory dish to authentic Indian food. It's everything you could hope for; a little sweet, savory, spicy, light, crunchy, refreshing. Everything was good but my husbands lamb was probably the best lamb I have ever eaten!!! GET THE LAMB! It was tender and fell apart on the fork. It had a delicious flavor with lots of sauce perfect for dipping the naan. The tikka masala tasted like pizza sauce so it wasn't too appetizing for me. They bake their sweets from scratch, fresh every morning. The girl and lady behind the counter are super nice! If the food was great too, I'd give 5 stars. I tried this place twice (always giving the benefit of the doubt). First time: I ordered chaat only. Raj kachori, pani puri, and dahi puri. Not in small quantities (my kiddos) love chaat too. The potatoes tasted like freezer burn which killed the flavor. I thought I'd try again. A week later, I tried the dinner menu: chicken biryani, Amritsari chole kulche, garlic naan, butter chicken, and an assortment of sweets (really expensive). Chole kulche - it was ok and not like Amritsar. Chicken biryani was flavorful (too much spice for my kids and not heat spice). Butter chicken was ok and the garlic naan was amazing! Hot and garlicky just like it should be. The sweets assortment included gulab jamun, Kalakhand (not good), barfi, Cham Cham. Long story short, I won't be getting any sweets except for barfi (milk).
