Strawberry Milk
Channing V.

Good place to take your kiddos. When we got there around 2pm, it was pretty quiet so ordering was easy and quick. The service was good and fast while the ice cream was creamy delicious. The ice cream isn't too sweet and is soft serve consistency which I love. Best part is toppings are no extra charge! We didn't get the fish cone, but it was fine as the sweet dessert hit the spot for my little son. The strawberry milk tea was good as well. It's basically just strawberry in milk with a little bit of sweetness. Overall, it was a good experience.

I tried this location of Somisomi, and I appreciate how spacious it was, with standing tables to fit in as many customers as possible. This time around, I went with their matcha and ube soft serve swirls, which is one of my favorite pairings. The matcha had a nice earthy dept while the ube was smooth and lightly sweet. The toppings that I got made it crispy and crunchy, including the Fruity Pebbles, chocolate topping/dust, and rainbow sprinkles. My friend ordered their matcha soft serve with matcha topping/dust, and she enjoyed the focus on the rich, slightly bitter matcha flavor. She also enjoyed some taiyaki, which is always made fresh and went well with a custard filling on the inside. Somisomi has expanded to many locations for good reason, as it consistently provides great soft serve and taiyaki!

THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! My favorite mix is Ube and Matcha with a little match powder ‍ Staff is always super friendly. Can be a little busy, but orders come out fast.

I've been coming here regularly with my kids, and they almost always stick to their favorite classic flavors: Cookies & Cream or Ube. I like that they offer rotations on their weekly swirls menu and seasonal flavors throughout the year. At this point, we're fans, but I do try to avoid coming during peak times especially in the summer or on weekends because it can get really busy. Parking can also be tight during those hours. Overall, it's a great spot for soft-serve ice cream, and I've really come to enjoy the taiyaki since my first review.

My partner and I love coming here after spending a day in Sacramento. I usually order the ube matcha swirl ah-boong filled with custard and my partner orders the cookies and cream swirl ah-boong with nutella. It can get busy quickly but the ambience is calm and the customer service is always fast which makes for a great experience.

They are always busy but the line move really fast. Me and my kids all like the fish cake here. My favorite is cheldar cheese and oreo filling

Ugh. Hate giving a poor review cause I love the takiyaki here but every single time I come service is rude. I thought maybe they're just having an off day. But it's been several different staff now. They don't care about customer service here . Can't recommend this place

Came up to Elk Grove for a tennis tournament and my Bay Area butt had no idea Elk Grove had Asian food like Somisomi! I'd heard of Somisomi which started in LA's Koreatown and had worked it's way up. It was pretty buzzy and cool, and though they'd opened a few Bay Area locations, I'd never been. On an over 100 degree day in Elk Grove, I knew we had to come here. I got the Upside down ahboong with cookies and cream and Ube and my partner tried the Upside down ahboong cookies and cream. Portions were large but it was too much for us and I thought prices were high for what we got. It was busy on that hot day so there was a line when we left, but when we got there there was no line and service wasn't busy or friendly--could've been better. There's no chairs inside but tables you can stand at.

If you are into Somi Somi ice cream than this is the spot to come. Great place to try out the tayaki. During grand opening, they are crazy long lines. Service- good. Ambiance- no chairs. They have table to stand and eat ice cream.

Any dessert spot that has dairy free options would be 100/10 to me. I came in at first thinking I could only get taiyaki's and was excited to learn I could actually get their ube soft serve haha. Very refreshing, not too sweet flavor. The staff is extremely friendly & quick with the soft serve. The taiyaki took a lil while because they make them as we order - super fresh & delicious!

April S.

I'm not really into this kind of dessert but I decided to try it and surprisingly, it was good. The place is spacious and clean. There aren't any seats but they do have standing tables you can use. The service was good too. Overall, a nice little stop for something sweet.

Victoria M.

Stopped by for their new weekly swirl! This week's swirl is Ube & Peach. It was so delicious & such a great summertime flavor. I got a Ube & Peach Swirl Soft Serve in a Cup and 2 Oreo & Custard Taiyakis. The soft serve came out almost immediately after placing my order in the front. Less than 5 minutes later, the taiyakis were fresh off the grill & ready to eat. I love how they have a water dispenser too. Inside was packed but very clean. It was pretty busy for a weekday night, but that's how you know it's delicious! 4 Stars because there's no area to sit & enjoy your dessert. You'll have to snag a spot & stand at a table if you want to eat inside!

Soft Serve Done Right--Every Time You really can't go wrong with this place! Easily one of the better locations in Sacramento. It's always clean, organized, and the staff are genuinely friendly and efficient. They rotate their flavors often, which keeps things interesting without overcomplicating the menu. I'm not sure if it's seasonal or just part of their regular updates, but I appreciate the variety. The soft serve is consistently smooth and balanced in texture-never icy or overly sweet. I usually share mine with a friend, though it's definitely the kind of treat you can enjoy on your own. Everything is customizable, whether you want the taiyaki pastry with cream filling by itself, as an ice cream cone, or in a cup. There's a good range of toppings, and each order comes with either a fresh strawberry or a small macaron-a nice finishing touch. It's a great spot for families, kids, or even a casual date-relaxed, friendly, and easy to enjoy no matter who you're with. Service is steady and reliable, and I've never had to wait long. Overall, a well-run spot that delivers quality and consistency every time.

The tempura came out and it was really good and light, I like that it wasn't oily! The galbi came with the small dishes of fish cake, kimchi and cucumber. It was really good. The galbi was nice and tender with little charred pieces, on a bed of sweet onion on a sizzling plate. We cleared everything. It was delicious. We will be coming back for mom and son dates. Bulgogi fries were my favorite was the fries complimented the very flavorful chopped up bulgogi with cheese and green onions. The Korean street corn topped with cheese and pickled radishes were delicious, however both dishes are very easy to make at home and in my opinion are not special. Service was good as the employees were friendly and attentive. There were not very many customers eating here for dinner on a weekday. I'm glad moist towelettes were provided because eating this type of fried chicken coated in sauce is very messy!

It had been far too long since I last sat down at this restaurant, and even longer--nearly a year--since I'd seen my brother. Sharing this experience with him and my sister-in-law turned an ordinary outing into something quietly meaningful, the kind of reunion that lingers long after the table is cleared. GOGI itself has evolved in thoughtful ways. Where once you relied on attentive staff to guide your order, now a sleek tablet rests at the table's edge, placing the entire menu at your fingertips. It's an effortless, modern touch that allows you to move at your own pace--lingering over choices, ordering freely, and focusing on what matters most: the company and the experience. The hot pot remains the heart of the meal--warm, comforting, and deeply satisfying. Each simmering bite feels both indulgent and familiar, like returning to a place you didn't realize you missed. Complementing it is an array of banchan that brings variety and balance, alongside a generous self-serve station filled with sauces, fresh fruits, and small delights that invite you to customize every bite. And then there are the simple pleasures: helping yourself to a swirl of ice cream at the end of the meal, a small but joyful ritual that rounds out the experience with a touch of sweetness. By the time we finished, I was more than full--I was content. Not just from the food, but from the warmth of reconnection, the ease of the setting, and the quiet excellence of a place that continues to adapt while holding onto what makes it special. If you're looking for more than just a meal--if you're seeking comfort, connection, and a dining experience that feels both modern and deeply personal--GOGI is well worth your visit.

It tasted ok, I just wish there was more egg stuffed into the bread as well as more bacon and spam. Also ordered a grapefruit flavored drink. DISGUSTING. I have to say, the service was super slow. There were 3 of us in our group who ordered separately, and it took almost an hour to get all our food. In total, we ordered 8 sandwiches. While waiting, my first friend had gotten her order wrong. She ordered 2 sandwiches and they gave her 1 sandwich and 1 slider. After correcting it, she then realized the sandwich didn't have avocado. So again, she had to have them correct her order! My second friend ordered 4 sandwiches. She got 2 sandwiches and 2 sliders. When she went up to correct her order, they told her that's what she had ordered when she clearly had the receipt in her hand. So glad they opened a Seapot in Sac so I can get my fix without going to the Bay Area now :) Came on a Saturday at 6pm for a party of 2 noting 30min wait on the Yelp waitlist but actually no one was waiting much in the front when we got in to checkin and we got seated right away (maybe people starting to add names to the waitlist for 7pm!). Opted for hotpot only which is imo my go-to here, but appreciate that the sauce/salad bar has some Chinese sides / Korean banchan to cut through the meat (e.g. seaweed salad, pickled radish, korean fishcake, pretty good cold marinated pigs ears). Fried sides at the bar such as the eggrolls we skipped after 1x bc they were quite soggy. I've been to basically all the norcal Seapot locations now, this one and San Mateo are probably my go-to based on the fact they both have the best soup selection. My partner likes the tomato broth and I like creamy milk (sweet, savory, w some corn), which is unfortunately not on the menu of the Daly City location. In terms of meats, we usually just keep a steady flow of beef (Angus, Wagyu, Ribeye, Brisket) coming and enjoy all of them. Our waiter was very attentive, worked a lot of tables and we never had to ask for more soda refills or meat orders. As we ate, the restaurant got more crowded for the 7pm weekend dinner rush so we watched waves of ppl starting to line up at the sauce/salad bar after initially being seated so we would wait for these to die down before walking up there. Meat took a little bit more time to come out when it got more busy after we ordered with our waiter, but was a steady flow as we ate. If you come with a 4+ people, it's most fun to sit close to the conveyor in the booth to have best access to the hotpot sides. Depending on where you are seated on the conveyor, you might need to wait for certain seafood or noodle sides longer than others. But luckily the meat comes separately to your table, which is the star of the show anyways. Overall love Seapot and it is a nice addition to Sac esp during the cold season!
