I used to love this place but the quality and portion has definitely changed throughout the years. We came in for lunch and ordered 2 classics and 1 mushroom cheesestake. Not much love was put into making our sandwiches. Even our garlic fries was just ok - how can anyone do Garlic Fries wrong? Food- I realize the price of beef has skyrocketed lately, but the amount of actual steak in a 10 inch for $22 was disappointing. Additionally, the meat was not seasoned and bland. I got to try this place via door dash. I haven't had many Philly cheesesteaks in my life, so I don't have much to compare it on, but it tasted good. I'm glad I added grilled onions and peppers, because otherwise I feel like it might have lacked flavor and excitement. The best part was the beast fries, which could be comparable to animal style fries from In-N-Out. I like that they offer different sizes for the sandwiches. I love me a great cheesesteak and I have came here multiple times. In San Jose we had amattos which was amazing every time. However this shop is decent. The meat filling inside the sandwiches are skimpy compared to other cheesesteak shops. Bread is good, flavor is there. For the price you pay is it worth it? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I feel you overpay for what you do get but it's still a pretty decent option. Jersey mikes Philly isn't too far off and even at that it's a decent Philly. I've been here 5 times since trying it again in years after moving back. I'll probably try one more time to see how it is again before I decide not to come back or continue going. I will say the fast cooking and good customer service is what helps it recover but it can only do so much. I always see this place when I guy my Lotto tickets and I decided to try it out today. There were several people inside when I came in. No wait to order. I got the Mushroom one with only onions. She said it would be ready in 10 minutes I went next door to get my winning Lotto tickets. I wish huh. I came back and waited a few minutes and my name was called. I got home and it was pretty good. I enjoyed the flavor. I would go there again. I got the medium and it looked big enough when she held up the roll but I might get the large next time. I was full though.
