Sour cream and chives mash potatoes

I enjoy coming here for the salads, especially the Chinese chicken and the Western BBQ steak. The portions are generous, and each salad is loaded with a great mix of ingredients. The Jack's Urban Fries are also excellent--definitely worth trying. Service is quick, and you can conveniently order online for pickup. There's also plenty of seating available, both indoors and outside.

I'm so so on this one. The salad was fine. It wasn't bad. Just didn't think it was something I'd likely crave. The chicken texture threw me off, it was crumbly and mushy at the same time. The salad mixture was fine as well wasn't terrible and the salad was fresh enough. The dressing was pretty good. Honestly I'd most likely stick with the urban fries, I've had them before and they're not bad at all. Service was like any fast food place I guess, just took the order and went on about our day. I will say the place was pretty clean.

Haven't had lunch here in awhile... the place is always so nice and clean. Plenty of booths and seating area both outside and in. Service is always so nice and quick. You order and find a seat and they'll bring your order to your table. We had shared the family urban fries .. that was ok.. I felt like the fries could be better.. it wasn't as freshly fried so it felt cold ... My Chinese chicken salad though was great! I don't know if they've changed something about it but it was so refreshing and the dressing was delicious! My hubby had the bbq steak salad .. that one is always really good. A refreshing side to lunch for sure.

Not sure why this restaurant has an overall rating of 3 stars. The restaurant is clean, service was fast, and food was delicious so I gave it 5 stars. I made my own salad and added avocados. It was very tasty and had just the right amount of dressing. Portion size was perfect too! My group also got the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich, turkey plate, tomato bisque, garlic fries and urban fries. All very tasty and portion size was great! Will definitely come again to try the other items!

I haven't been to Jack's Urban Eats in years, probably 7-8 years. This place always appears to be busy with a full parking lot. Inside you order and pay at the counter, staff members prepare your food orders and bring it to your table. I think the order took 10 minutes. I ordered a turkey, cranberry sauce, green apple, Brie cheese, mixed greens and onion sandwich on thick, toasted wheat bread. Sandwich was huge, tasted fresh and all the ingredients were flavorful. I ate half. I also ordered Garlic FrIes which were superb, again very generous serving size for the small order. I brought half of the sandwich and half of the fries home; my eyes were too big. The restaurant is organized with drinks, silverware, napkins and condiments along the east wall. Friendly, professional staff members, kitchen staff and table bussers. What a good experience with great food.

Stopped in for late lunch. Found parking easily on this visit. Ordered at counter. Grabbed drinks and utensils. Food arrived shortly after. Tried the steak salad and tri tip plate. Love their salads. The tri tip was seasoned well. Mashed potatoes were yummy. Their garlic fries are better. Will be back!

Consistent food, good service, loud during rush hours. I wouldn't sit indoor if you're trying to have a conversation over lunch, it is too loud. Outdoor is nice, but can be hot. The chimichurri steak sandwich is delicious, but I had to ask for extra pickled onions because they only put like 3 inside. Literally. The urban fries are my favorite. It's such a delicious combo. The tri tip sandwich you can't go wrong with. The kids meals are delicious, not pictured. My son loved the chicken strips and the turkey and mashed potatoes. I love coming here for their sandwiches, but the star of my cravings are these fries. Would recommend you give it a shot if you've never tried it & like a little kick.

Haven't been here in awhile but I enjoyed my salad. I created my own with no protein. I added up to 6 toppings - mushrooms, beets x2, corn, jicama, caramelized seeds with arugula and dill dressing. Loved the caramelized seeds were really good. Staff were friendly. Parking is ok but it gets busy around lunch. Love their outdoor seating.

Tri tip with mashed, mac, and cozy bread

Came here on a wednesday evening around 6pm. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy. We were able to get served quickly and plenty of seating was available. It was a warm spring evening. So the outdoor seating was enjoyable. We had a tri tip plate with mashed potatoes, cheesy bread and mac and cheese. I don't know if it's me or the food at jack's.Just doesn't seem to be flavored. As well as it used to be. I found the tri tip without too much flavor the mac and cheese was not cheesy and it also came out cold. And the mashed potatoes were good, except the gravy didn't have a lot of flavor to it. The cheesy bread was excellent. We also had a salmon cobb and a chicken teriyaki salad. Heard the same thing about the salmon and the chicken. More flavor/spices please.

Chimichurri Steak
Emily N.

This is my first time coming here and the food was pretty good for its price. I got the Chimichurri Steak Sandwich which had decent flavor and everything tasted fresh. However, the sandwich could've had more flavor and the meat was slightly too tough to chew. The server and cashier both had good hospitality. I would've gave this place a higher review if I came here more often to try the other options they offer. This place has a clean and nice ambiance since they offer both indoor and outdoor seating and the restrooms weren't dirty at all.

First time here and it was a great menu and selections. The service was very quick and professional. They were quick putting together our lunch! The ambiance is very modern and clean. All staff members were very helpful! Give this restaurant a chance, you won't be disappointed! We enjoyed our lunch!

We met a friend for lunch here at Jack's Urban Eats. We came in and it was busy. We grabbed a menu and looked it over while in line to order. You get to watch the young chefs make other people's salads and sandwiches while waiting. As you make it to the cashier, that's when we made our order. We paid and received the order number sign so they can find you! The inside were completely full of people. We ended up eating outside!! We enjoyed our build our own salad options. You get to pick your greens options and then six other add ons. Then you may pay for the protein of your choice option. Our friend had the blackened salmon salad. We were told it was excellent!! We built our own and it was delicious as well. We were done eating and just catching up on life when a young man came and asked us if he could take our dishes. He was very friendly and said he also enjoyed the salads here as well. Overall, a refreshing healthier options for eating out for us. Friendly staff. Shared parking with other businesses. Clean bathroom was a BONUS for us. Prices are competitive with other eateries. We will be back....

Let's call this visit our "Do Over"! Food was much better this time. Hubby had his usual favorite Turkey Plate with mashed potatoes, & Mac n cheese. He had to tell the cashier Chris 5 several times that he wanted dark thigh meat. Another cashier explained it & showed carver what to give us. He said it was the best he's had here. I had a chicken club and it was perfect! I added your bomb cranberry sauce to it & devoured it. The ambiance was the usual, good but a little loud. Thank you!

Is the Elk Grove location dog friendly?

Yes, for patio seating they are.

Been trying to call this place to see if they are OPEN Easter Sunday 04/21/19. I try 5 times no luck. Please let me know?

They are not opened on Easter

Is there a different number? Ive been trying to call for an hour now--- no answer.

They do not answer the phones ever, at least in my experience. They get really busy and there is no one appointed to answer calls...

Oh my, the French toast is a huge portion and beautifully presented with a side of whipped cream and strawberry compote on top. It's not as sweet as it looks (perfect for my taste) and the toast had crispy edges. Sausage was good but needed to be cooked just a bit longer, so you get that snap when you bite it. Scrambled eggs were good too. My husband got the chorizo burrito with tater tots on the side. He liked the burrito but said it did have little kick to it. The tots were fried to perfection and not oily. My brother ordered the "Dad's Mash Up," all kinds of stuff (breakfast meats and cheese) served on top of tots and covered in gravy. It was a pile of food, no complaints from my bro. Service was great and welcoming as soon as we walked in. No wait on a Wednesday morning, but I imagine there is on the weekends. I let our server know it was my brother's birthday, and after we were finishing up our meals, they brought him a complimentary small plate of the strawberry French toast! That was a fantastic way to end his celebratory breakfast. My only complaint, which is more of a suggestion, is to have flavored cream available besides half and half. The coffee is strong and delicious and our cups were never empty. Thank you, Jamie and staff, for a wonderful and yummy first visit. We'll be back!

Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a very friendly gentleman behind the counter, which was a great first impression! Unfortunately, the service throughout the rest of our visit wasn't quite as welcoming or attentive. As far as the food goes, everything was pretty good! The country fried steak was a little on the tough side, but overall, the food was decent, especially considering the very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was definitely another positive! I really enjoyed the cozy environment, and everything appeared to be clean, well-maintained, and nicely organized, which made for a comfortable dining experience. Overall, I'm giving Jamie's Cafe 4 out of 5 stars. The food, prices, and atmosphere were all enjoyable, but I do feel the service could use some improvement. We weren't checked on during our meal or even asked if we wanted a refill on our water, which was a little disappointing. That being said, I wouldn't mind giving this place another shot! Hopefully, the service will be a little more attentive next time around.

Love the outdoor seating area with the dedicated kids play area. Back in my day, if you wanted to have a beer in a public setting with a kid there weren't a ton of options. I draw the line at having kids birthday parties at a brewery however. Since when did toddlers start liking IPAs? Anyway, the day I was here the AC wasn't working indoors so it was quite stuffy, the outdoors was just starting to get the infamous delta breeze kicking in which made it quite a pleasant experience. I got the sampler which gives you five pours to try for $14. Tbh all of them that I tried were good except for one, and upon reading their current list of pours on their website, I didn't see it listed! In any case, I liked the beers, ambiance, service and will be back!

Funny in my notes for the place I put the phrase "Perfect Brewery"…read more Let me see if I can explain why I think that. So I found this place after a Yelp event in the area and I needed grab a bit to eat. Little did I know I would run into my favorite lager at any brewery in the Sacramento area. First of all they have a pretty large parking lot, they are located in Historic Elk Grove, it's a pretty busy part of town on weekends. Walking in, it feels like a pretty wide open space, though it was quite busy as most of the tables were occupied. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, I did see spots outside but after a quick look over, I took a spot at their bar. It's open seating at the bar. I was pretty unfamiliar with the beer at this brewery, though the names seemed familiar. I decided to go with a beer flight so I could try a few of their beers and get a solid feel for what they serve here. A beer flight here comes with 5 beers and cost $14.00. My beers for the sampler was as follows 1. Confused Therapist-Hazy Imperial IPA 2. Peace, Love & Haze-Hazy IPA 3.Taco Amber-Amber Lager 4.Taco Truck Lager-Mexican-style Lager 5. Therapist-Imperial IPA My two favorite of these beers were the Confused Therapist and the Taco Truck Lager-both just wonderful drinking experiences, but different. As luck would have it,the wife was the smart one and got the best beer. She got the Taco Truck Lime($8.00), which is similar to their Taco Truck drink but it has added lime and sea salt crystals. That's probably the best lager I've ever had and what we got a 6 pack($11.99) of to take home. It's so good. As far as food goes we ended up splitting a Brisket Burger($22.00) with a side of Garlic Fries($3.00). The Brisket Burger was pretty tasty, but I think I prefer a regular burger instead of brisket. The Garlic Fries were elite though-the wifey and I had that hitting breath after eating those bad boys. The bartending staff were quite friendly and chatty and checked on us frequently and didn't hesitate when I had questions about their beer and food menu. Overall these are a few of the reasons I call Dust Bowl in Elk Grove the "Perfect Brewery " .Great Beer, Great Food, Great Service, and Great Facilities. I can't wait to go back.

First off let me say I haven't had anything here "okay". Every dish has been good or amazing! I'll start with the BBQ platter. Some of the best brisket Ive had. You can tell they really put time and effort into smoking the brisket. It's tender and flavorful. You honestly don't even need BBQ sauce! Ribs are just as good. Soft to the bite, seasoned well! I've had a few BBQ places up here and Streetzlan tops them all! Fish(Cod) I believe is a nice flaky piece of fish. Good soft tortilla! Shrimp is blackened but the Pork Taco takes the cake. Crunch with a layer of fat !!!! Smash Burger although I think isn't on the menu anymore is a simple burger but bursting with flavor. Patty to bun ratio is a . Some burger patties are too much imo or the bun is. Grilled onions and Pickles! Fries have a nice pink aioli and the cheese is a good blend of aged but not too much!
