Starbread is THE spot for senorita bread! Visited here many times. Located in the same shopping plaza close to Seafood City so there's plenty of parking. This spot is small but offers lots of delicious Filipino pastries! And their infamous senorita bread is the bomb!!! Sooo goood! Baked daily so it is fresh and hot!! Go get yours!!! They also have fresh turon (sweet, fried banana), casava, and many other flavored pastries and deserts. This visit I got a 15 piece box of senorita bread ($12). So, so good!!! Also got 3 pieces of turon ($3) and 3 pieces of lumpia ($3.75). Great service. Staff are cool and friendly, joking around Lol Will visit again. read more

I love the señorita bread from here! It's especially delicious when it's fresh and hot. The bread is soft with a nice touch of sweetness to it. It's perfect for parties or small gatherings. I haven't tried any of the other items here yet. Service is pretty fast and efficient, so you're pretty much in and out. It's a small location, so if it's busy, it can get pretty packed inside. read more

Starbread Bakery - Senorita Bread - Filipino Near Me - Sacramento, California

I have been wanting to visit Starbread Bakery since forever and I finally was able to visit. The famous senorita bread was really good, it's very simple but also pretty addicting. This is a Filipino bakery and they sell lots of Filipino baked goods. The first thing my husband eyed was the carioca because that's his favorite and he grabbed a couple of those, we got some ensaymadas and malasadas too. The bakery is very small, but they have tons ready to go behind the glass case. You can't see the kitchen or ovens since it's blocked off somewhere in the back, but you can hear the workers chatting back there. The young gentleman at the front was just okay. He wasn't to friendly, but he was ready to help. The prices are not too bad, but Starbread fans I think you should check out Fil Bake Shop in Delano CA because they have lady fingers that are similar to the senorita bread but it also has cream cheese inside too. I definitely will be back to visit Starbread. If you're not from the area you'll love this location. It has a lot of Filipino restaurants and shops nearby. They have seafood city, red ribbon, chow king, Jollibee and they even have a karaoke store next to Starbread Bakery. read more

Finally made my way into Starbread bakery, after hearing so much about it. Came in early on a Saturday morning and it wasn't too busy yet, and looked around for a bit. I saw their list of popular Star bread options, but wasn't familiar with their other sweet and savory options like their donuts and baked rolls. Savory options: Pizza rolls Jalapeño roll Pretzel dog roll Empanadas The rolls were deliciousand we got there just im time, because as soon as we were ready to order a large groups showed up after us. Overall: The location made me small but they're super popular, and a local favorite. read more

This is a new favorite. The place is small, no places to sit. This is a pick up and go type bakery. It's bright and the kitchen takes up most of the space. The place smells delicious when you walk in. Quite a few treats were already gone when we got there, but we ordered a Bavarian malasada, a cream cheese roll up, a guava cream cheese strudel, and an apple roll up. These items were melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I'm usually not a morning eater, but I finished my treats. While I was inside, I saw they sold other items, so I also picked some dulce de leche roll up, some cream cheese roll up, and some strawberry cream cheese rolls. These will be great for dessert or a breakfast treat. Will definitely be back again to try their other offerings. read more

We stopped by Starbread Friday after Thanksgiving but we had came after their holiday hours so we couldn't get any. this isn't our first time having Starbread but it is our first time at the Roseville/Sac location. This is a special shoutout to the Starbread team because I didn't realize I dropped my wallet outside the store and they shipped it back to me, which is so incredible and speak volumes to the people here. Thank you! read more

Seniorita bread was good, savory pastries were yummy. But the empanadas were a little bland, I'd rather buy them from BadBakers I finally tried my first malasadas here, which were a bit disappointing, especially compared to the ones I had in Hawaii 2 weeks later. read more

Can never go wrong with senorita breads. Great for snacking, parties, or any occasions. Prices are reasonable. Service was quick. Eat them while they are hot and fresh! If you get 15+ pieces, it will come in a box. They sell other items as well such as lumpia, malasadas, croissants, etc. Plenty of parking but just be careful at it is not in the safest area :) read more

Been coming here for years. This bakery is small but mighty and it's nice seeing all of the upgrades to the decor and interior. Service is always friendly and the bread and other items sold are delicious! The only thing I would say is that I wish they brushed the butter sugar mixture on top of the bread also versus just inside because some batches have come out a bit dry. read more

Delicious princess bread when you get it hot and fresh from here. They are pretty small and gone in a few bites, so get more than you think you'll need. They also reheat fine if you have extra. Staff is nice and service is quick. They recently had a price increase, but it's still very reasonable and worth it. Definitely a place to stop in if you're in the area. read more

Soft, slightly sweet, divine senorita bread was worth the 40 minute drive for me. My son tasted these for the first time and his eyes lit up. He said they're dangerously good and ate 10 the first day. I bought the 40 piece and we had them for a few days. By day 3, they were stale, but still loved dunking them in my coffee. (Microwave them for about 20 seconds). read more

Fantastic yummy bread! Would go all the time if it wasn't so far from me! Senorita Bread for the win!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet!! When I'm in the area, I HAVE to stop in for some of their famous Señorita Bread! I mean, who doesn't love the pillowy, soft, buttery goodness that's fresh from the oven? I always forget they have locations down south, but I never seem to forget when I'm in SacTown!! Lol Maybe it's because it was at this Starbread Bakery location that I popped my Señorita Bread cherry!! They have other Filipino desserts and baked goods, but I've never purchased anything else. I'm probably the weirdest Filipina you'll ever meet, lol. I'll always be a fan of the bread, though!! The prices have gone up since my first visit, but you really can't help that. The quality is top tier, and as long as the cost isn't outrageous, I'll happily satisfy my cravings! The parking lot is shared with other businesses so there's plenty. The service is always fast and the aunties are always nice. Be back again soon! ;) read more

Sheeeshhh I've been here hella times but this is my first time making a review. This bread is dangerous! Why is it dangerous? Cuz it's so hard to stop eating. U gonna mess around and gain like 10 lbs. service is great, very polite and fast service. The place is well lit, small and you'll be surrounded by all kinds of goodness. The bread is always given to you hot! It's buttery with a kiss of sweetness. Addicting af! They should call this bread "crack bread" cuz it's hella addicting! read more

Every time I visit the Sacramento area, I always stop at Starbread as their fresh out of the oven Senorita bread is to die for. Senorita bread is salty, sweet, soft, and pillowy; it's so addictive that you simply can't have just one! That's why we always buy a half dozen or more. We also love trying other items, like the mochi donuts and Malasadas. Both were delicious and reasonably priced as well. Overall, I love the Senorita bread and would highly recommend it. read more

Best star bread I've had in a long time outside of the Philippines! It's served warm and so sarap (delicious), I can't stop at one!!! Malasadas are offered too and pan de sal and other Filipino goodies but I'm just a big fan of the starbread! This is set up like a bakery so you just come in and order. It gets very busy on weekends, especially on Sundays so be prepared to stand in line but the starbread is so worth it! read more

"I love it when you buy me señorita I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya But every bite is ooh, la-la-la Ooh, I should be running Ooh, you keep me coming for ya" Starbread is the original Senorita bread bakery on Mack Road. Some people are #TeamStarbread and others #TeamBadBakers but I love both equally! This location is fairly small but service is quick. Other than the regular senorita bread, I've also tried their jumbo/XL senorita bread with fillings like Nutella, Mango, Guava, or Strawberry, the hopia baboy, puto. They also had what looked like malasadas in the glass case, and self-serve bags of pan de sal (plain and ube), pan de ube, pan de coco too. Note that this is a standalone bakery not attached to Seafood City Supermarket, located next to the pho place. But, if you want to take a look for more, check out Red Ribbon Bakeshop and Valerio's Bakeshop for other Filipino sweet treats. This is the only Starbread in the Sacramento area. Recently stopped by Starbread and picked up one of their malasadas, a Bavarian malasada, and a few Señorita breads. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The malasada was cold and lacked that soft, chewy texture -- it felt more like a two-day-old donut: dense and dry. I wouldn't buy that again. As for the Señorita bread, it seems like they've changed the recipe. It's no longer the soft, chewy, buttery, and sweet bread I used to love. It tastes completely different now. I understand prices have gone up, but I'd honestly rather see a small price increase than a decline in quality. Starbread used to be amazing, but it's been downhill since after COVID -- the consistency just isn't the same anymore. read more

We stopped by this morning to get some senorita bread. The lobby area is small but staff moves quickly to get you in and out. This morning there were two cashiers and both kept the line moving. All boxes were hot with fresh bread coming out of the oven. Today we also got some dulce de leche bread it was tasty. My family likes to stick to the classics. read more
