I love the Greek Salad from Scotty P's. We use lunchdrop for lunch at my job and every time I see Scotty P's on the menu, I'm elated! I add protein (Grilled Chicken) to my Greek Salad, and I remove the olives that would normally be included on it otherwise. They do not skimp on the salad dressing and boy, oh, boy is it fresh! The way all of the flavors of the greens, vegetables, dressing, and feta cheese blend together so seamlessly is what makes this salad as good as it is! The salad also comes with a side of pita bread. If you're someone who loves fresh, light, flavorful meals, their Greek Salad is the way to go! I would recommend! PS. We love Scotty Ps. Best burgers around. We've been eating there for years. We have always ordered our burgers medium rare. They have always been perfect. Red center but warm. The last 2 times we've got a burger that was warm and red but our bottom bun was soggy with blood. The first week we brought it to the attention of the manager. He told us that was just med rare. Really. I've been going to Scotty P's in Plano for 16 years. I also eat my burgers medium rare at all the good burger joints. They have never had soggy bloody buns on them. Today when I ordered the manager tried to get me to change my order, stating we 'always' said it was too rare. Really ?.. one time. We didn't bother to say anything again today. They forgot to put mayo on our burger tonight. I've always given them 5 stars before, but sadly now they are 4. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great. Used to be my go to spot for good burgers and tenders since I was 18. Went there today after 6 months and got chicken tender & 2 burgers and the chicken quality was awful; so were the beef patties! chicken did not taste like chicken. You couldn't even chew it properly. I don't know what kind of lab grown meat they are using and charging so much for it but we had to toss $45 worth of food away sadly (just 3 items, btw). I've visited this location several times and the food and service have always been consistent. This visit my friend and I both had the mushroom and Swiss burgers and a shared order of fries. My burger was thick, juicy and delicious. It had an abundance of cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and pan fried onions. Also the usual trimmings - lettuce, tomato, and mayo. And a thick sesame seed bun. Fries were thin and crispy. They also had on hand a shaker of seasoned salt. Reminded me of Lum's in Omaha years ago. Ambience? Well, it's a burger joint. Table and booths. A nod on the walls to Plano's past. A couple of TVs and Christmas music overhead. Comfortable and not stuffy. A few notes. First, my friend received a virtual gift card from her son last Christmas - printed out from email. The staff had some difficulty honoring it during a previous visit. However they honored the card on the next visit and even added a cash perk for her trouble. Excellent customer service in my opinion. Secondary, we learned the hard way to share their generous order of fries. More that enough for two senior citizens. Finally, if you order on of their larger burgers, I suggest you ask for extra napkins and a fork. They'll come in handy. Scotty P's has several locations around the area. Came in and decided on the lunch '67 burger special and wanted to substitute fries for onion strings. Nope - no upcharge option. Ordered all separately they cost me an addt'l $8. I do not see why an upcharge of $3 applying to half order was not an option but all the staff shrug their shoulders and said CORPORATE. However, when I ordered 2 bowls and 1 cookie and the total was over $30, I just about lost it! I changed it to one bowl and although the chili was good, I hardly think it was worth almost $14 for a bowl! Been coming to Scotty Ps for years. Today I came in and I said "I know it's not on the menu, but can you all do just a BLT?" Simple enough. They bring me a chicken sandwich with bacon. I politely told the young man that I ordered just a regular blt. Bacon, lettuce, tomato. He was very nice and apologized. Came back a few minutes later with the exact same sandwich. While known for their delicious burgers, I was delighted to discover they offered a variety of salads to which you could add grilled chicken for $4. I had the Derby salad with avocado, cherry tomatoes bacon, Bleu cheese crumbles, and a generous portion of tender chicken chunks. All the ingredients were fresh and plentiful . I chose their house made Greek dressing (also sold by the bottle- now I'm sorry I didn't bring one home!) It was one of the best salads I've had in a couple of years! But I was moved to write the review because of the service provided in store by Toby. He was gracious, attentive, and so helpful. And this, in a cafeteria type restaurant , where you order at the counter and your food is brought to you. I have eaten at 3 and 4 star restaurants who could use him to train staff! Really liked that you could order with a cashier or at your table via a QR code system. Ordered from our table, drink cups were brought out by our server not too long after submitting to the kitchen. We left our check open in case we we wanted to add anything later. We ordered the Green Chile Burger, Fried Pickles, and Chicken Tender kid's meal. Green chile burger was hot, spicy, and presented nicely. Burger has a charbroiled flavor which we weren't expecting; the only critiques were the lack of seasoning on the meat that wasn't balanced with the other ingredients, and the bun didn't hold up to the juiciness of the meat and chiles. Fries were hot and fresh with the burger. Fried pickles were also very fresh but the breading was WAY too salty. Had they not been over seasoned they would have been my favorite part of the meal. Gotta say, ranch was ON POINT! Jalapeño ranch was also a great addition. The chicken tenders were hot and juicy, breading was seasoned nicely. Only complaint on the kids meal was the fries weren't hot at all, not sure if that was intentional as the burger's fries were piping. Seating wasn't plentiful but not crowded. Interesting choice of music in this location as is was rap/ r&b; didn't think it matched the crowd as MANY people had salads. Speaking of; the salad looked really good, add that ranch, sounds like a winner. Upon cashing out we were asked to tip which is a whole controversy on its own considered we took our own order etc. The service we did get was just ok, nothing special, nothing terrible. Everything here at Scotty P's is great. We each ordered our own burgers with fries. One side order of fried pickles as an appetizer. To my surprise, the fried pickles were quite a large portion with two ranch dressing included. In my humble opinion, (please don't attack me), I think McDonald's have one of the most wonderful flavored fries in the world. These fries are relatively similar in that regards. Except you have to season your own fries with a tad bit of salt. The food were delivered quickly and smoothly. Since we visited during lunch hour on a Monday, there were not too many customers dining in. Overall, it is great for the price and food! read more

Scotty P's is a solid, neighborhood burger joint. I've only ate here once and have been carrying out ever since COVID hit. They have a great online ordering system and if opt in for texts, get special offers on certain days like 15-20% off your online order. They also run specials where you buy an e-gift card and they will load an extra $5 or 10 on it. They have a couple designated spots in front, call them when you're there and voila, they bring the food out to you. As for the food? Health food It is not but it is damn good. The burgers are huge and if you get a side of fries (I tend to do sweet potato), it's enough for two people. I recently craved some fried chicken fingers and their portion of three with sweet potato fries was enough for two meals. And they are all about giving you dipping sauces to try. I'm a self proclaimed condiment lover so I got their honey mustard, ranch and special sauce which were all bomb.com in their own way. Came here on Friday night after my kids' soccer games. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. The reason for the poor score has everything to do with the food and value. All of our burgers were quite overcooked and dry. Fries were a mix of old cold and new, but no salt or anything on them. Our food was delivered quickly...and we were pleasantly shocked by the size of the o-rings and the number (6) per plate. The onion rings were perfectly fried - something we don't find very often these days & almost a meal in themselves. Our burgers were cooked as ordered (med rare), served on a premium bun with fresh condiments. Delicious. 2 employees checked on us twice to see if we were satisfied (very rare). In today's environment, we found the food value exceptional. For $11.75 you can have the 67 Original with burger & 6 onion rings....that is only $1 or $2 more than a burger combo at Whataburger ...and they don't offer perfect onion rings. My wife came here a couple weeks ago as she has a new obsession with the salads they serve here and when she came back she informed me that the guy at the register was, for lack if better words, a rude individual. I've never had a bad experience at Scotty P's. Service is friendly and the food is really tasty. We usually order the mushroom and Swiss for me at the Preston Trail (chili and jalapenos) burgers, plus a side of fringes (fries and onion rings). I'd recommend that you plan to either split a burger or eat half for dinner and save half for another meal. The burgers are really large and really filling. Best not to think about how many calories they have. The last time we went we ordered a small plate of the loaded fries. Holy cow - so delicious! The small plate was perfect for a group of 4 to share. I still only ate half of my burger. Side notes: You can call in and pick up to take home.
