First time at Scotty P's and a good experience. First off the restaurant was clean. The service was great as well. Order taken, questions answered and very courteous. We decided to share the Grilled Cheese Triple Play with sweet potato fries. Our meal arrived hot and looking delicious. The grilled cheese was really good. The bread well toasted and the cheese tasty. The fries were crisp and hot. Hit up Scotty P's for a bite. It was goodness. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed this counter service burger joint on a Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious, and it was quiet and conducive to conversation. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. The Lone Star BBQ burger, Greek salad, and the fried pickles were delicious. Our friend got the Irish nacho burger and LOVED it. read more

One of our favorite little spots before a hockey game! TheHatch Green Chile burger is perfect amount of crunchy and spicy. The fried pickles are fried to perfection and they have mastered the art of the sweet potato waffle fries! I should've gotten a video of the cheese pull from the grilled cheese because it was giving. The staff is super friendly, the restaurant is always clean and well stocked. Definitely give them a try! read more

A decent place for burgers. Ambiance is nice and it's counter service but you don't have to clear the tables. We got a mushroom & Swiss burger with fries as well as a fried chicken sandwich with onion rings. The onion rings are humongous! They taste fine but I personally like my onions rings on the smaller side. Portions are large. The fries were good and the burger was cooked well. Overall a good burger place. read more

I love Scotty P's generally. But the last 2 times I ordered l asked for a medium burger and it was dry and tasteless. When they get it right; they are amazing. read more

Still our favorite place to eat in Collin County! Great burgers and so much more: chicken dishes, super salads (try The Derby with chicken), and perfectly cooked fish and chips. In the winter months, they offer a fantastic tortilla soup. The restaurant is always super clean and staff is warm and welcoming. We love our Scotty P's! read more

My sister asked me to meet her here for lunch. The place was very busy, and a large group let us go in front of them. That was some nice Texas Hospitality. The Darby salad was delicious and big enough for two. Plenty of good veggies, the chicken was tender inside and charred on the outside. Sister got string onion rings with our salad. Had fun with Olympic Rings. Hahahaha Have to try a burger next time. read more

Went up to watch the World Cup finals. Ordered a milk shake. $6.00+ was the size of a small mason jar (shrinkflation). Tasted like a chocolate milk. Very little ice cream. Very disappointed! read more

Food is consistently very good. And the orders are normally completed very quickly and the service very good.

This chain offers well priced burgers and bar style food for a reasonable price especially given the portion sizes. Service was great, fast; efficient, and the staff were all very friendly. Scotty P's has a pleasant atmosphere that is an enjoyable hybrid between a classic diner and a bar, having been to both locations they're both well run and a good all around burger joint. 9/10, there is nothing making them stand out from the crowd but they're consistent and delicious. read more

Good Hamburgers, good quality beef. Good big onion rings, not soggy fries. They have Fried Pickles ! OK Atmosphere - lots of hard surfaces so if it's crowded it can be noisy! read more

This review is more about a recent addition to the menu. It is their fish and chips. I am a huge fan of fish and chips. So when I saw that they had added this for a period of time, I thought I needed to try it. The picture of the plated, fish and chips note very enticing. I like large fillets, perfectly battered and fried. However, what arrived at my home was significantly different than what was pictured. Not only were they not large fillets of fish they were more like fish fingers. So much stubby, not at all meaty and considerably smaller than the $15 price tag with suggest. I will say, that my family and I have been fans of Scotty P's since they opened here in Allen. I do not recall having a bad meal. From the Hatch Green chili burger to the 1967, it's all quite tasty. So to receive such a very disappointing, fish and chips meal... scratch that, make it a snack, that's quite surprising. I suspect I will stay on the beaten path, and only order the items I am sure of. PS - the coleslaw was about 1 1/2 spoonfuls, so barely worth the dirt in my mouth. And the dill tartar sauce, was less than appetizing. read more

This location is slowly but surely going down hill. This last visit was our last. We've been patrons at this Allen location for over 10+ years. This was one of our favorite places to eat, weekly. Over time it's become consistently disappointing and now we visit once a month, hoping it will get better. One by one something changes. First was the oil used for the onion rings. Then the chicken tenders got smaller and smaller. The buffalo sauce has completely changed! The salad is half its size and the ingredients are reduced (now served on a plate to look like a lot of food). The ranch dressing has changed in flavor, texture and serving size. We really want to support local family owned businesses like Scotty P's but we're not enjoying their food anymore. :( Tonight we had a QR "reward" code for one milkshake. We were so excited to get one of their famous Blue Bell oreo milkshakes!!! To our surprise this weird yellow milkshake was brought to our table. It was half the size we are use to. It was liquid, not thick, room temperature and definitely not made from Blue Bell. I approached the counter and explained that the milkshake was awful. The manager wasnt surprised. She said they use a mix because ice cream machine is broke. What? They've never used an ice cream machine??? For years they tossed a few scoops of vanilla Blue Bell (and oreo cookies) in a commercial blender and handed us the whole thing to us. What the crap is this story? We over head another table nearby complain about their mikshake too. They got the same explanation. There's no reason to go back. The quality is gone, and the portions doesn't match what they are charging. read more

Way overpriced for the quality. After ordering your food at the register the usual pops up. A "tip" question. Its very hard to tip when the customer orders the food at the register, serves their drink, and grabs their own napkins. Can get a better burger at In n out. for half the price. read more

The friendly atmosphere, great food, clean place and family like employees from management are the best to feel at home. 100%

Super nice staff and very friendly. We heard they serve halal beef which is a higher quality meat so decided to give them a try. Chantelle the manager was really good about explaining everything and making sure we were well taken care of. Will continue to give these guys business for their great customer service. The burgers themselves were really good too. The original 67' was my favorite out of the ones I tried. read more

As soon as we got in i saw a roach in the kitchen scurrying around and when we were seated another one went past our table and as soon as we saw the second roach we left because if there's two there's more we're they came from . I've been to Scotty P's numerous times over the past 8 years. The past 2 times I went there, my Irish Nacho burger was way undercooked. I was visiting friends and talking during my meal so I didn't really notice until about halfway through my meal. I looked at the burger and it was really red. Also, I noticed that the burger was a lot smaller than it used to be. I think they have changed ownership or have a whole new crew working there. I have been up most of the night dealing with digestive issues related to that Irish Nacho burger. I'm gonna start eating somewhere else from now for my burger fix. Attention Scotty P's: 1) Don't lower your standards. 2) You will always lose customers if you are lowering portion sizes to control food cost. 3) People can get really sick if you serve raw meat. Hope this helps you to get better. read more

I've been planning to try this chain out ever since I moved down to the DFW area, and I'm glad I did overall. After all, this place sits like 1 mile away from me, so it's good to have it handy! I ordered three things: Onion Rings, Salted Caramel Shake, and the Create Your Own Burger with a patty, fried egg, onion strings, mustard, mayo, pickles, and American cheese. The Salted Caramel Shake is amazing, let me tell you. I will be coming back here every time just for this shake and this is largely the reason I give this place a 4/5. It tastes exactly like the flavor profile of a Salted Caramel shake, and they actually give you a thick straw instead of those places that give you a tiny straw for a thick shake. Thank heavens for those straws. The onion rings were not the best. They were too heavily breaded and no longer have that crunchy, flaky outer shell as opposed to a hard somewhat soft shell. It's more like eating an onion sandwich than an onion ring. The burger was above average. Everything was made right, the buns were a bit too big for the patty, but the taste was all there. Made exactly the way I like it with nice onion strings and a good fried egg. Overall, check out this places burgers, stay for the shake. Stay away from the onion rings. Great place! read more

1st visit to this location and we have now visited all locations. Layout and decor much like all the others; vintage photos on wall and good burger. My daughter and I went here for the first time last week. She loved her chicken sandwich and the fried onion strings. I had a hamburger. It was very good but not great. However I would come again! First time here I believe, lured in by their $9 lunch special. Entire staff was friendly and having fun with each other while still being attentive to the guests. Burger I ordered was sizable and came out quickly at the perfect medium requested. I asked for extra pickles and got plenty of them. style fries were plentiful and very hot. All in all a good experience, only Nick is that the lunch special was just burger and fries, the drink was an extra $3. read more

Solid burger... as in, for once, I can't finish it in one sitting. I made the mistake of adding a patty without being able to see how big the burgers are to start. 2 patties, cheese & Mayo. Simple. Delicious. I didn't even get through half of it! Only lost a star because fries are very basic. An amazing burger needs an amazing side... these fries are not it. read more

I ordered a burger to go and asked for it medium rare. When I finally got home and started to eat I realized it was well done, not pink at all. The burger still tastes good, but the whole reason I went here instead of a fast food place is because you can tell them how you like it cooked. I'm a little disappointed but I'm too hungry and tired to go back up to the store and have them fix it. read more

If you like waiting 32 minutes for a dry and overcooked burger in a half empty restaurant, you're going to this place. And getting your order accurate, fah geddaboutit. The only reason it gets two stars instead of one is because the restaurant was clean, and the people taking and delivering orders were polite and efficient. The problem is with the kitchen. I had a birds eye view from my table and got to witness chaos, confusion and lots of standing around in the kitchen. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day in this kitchen. read more

I come here often and I've never had a bad experience. The staff is nice and the place is pretty clean. I typically order a turkey burger with mushrooms, the food always comes out fast and hot. Three stars is not because the food isn't good, I enjoy a burger from Scotty's. I gave three stars because they are good at what they do, making yummy burgers.. The portions are more than enough, it's a good experience and a good burger. While this place doesn't have a WOW factor, they are consistent and kid friendly, and I will return often. read more
