This will be my first time doing this to a business I wanted so bad to support. I've been telling many people to come to this location because the company is from Chicago and we have a lack of these restaurants here in the DFW area. The first time I went the staff was engaging, answered questions, etc. I've been here at least 8 times since with sending my son, husband, and others there in the last few months. I've heard numerous complaints about the staff's attitude and my friend was there this week and said he wasn't treated as though the business appreciates customers. They're not busy but will ignore you for a while and then come to take your order like you're bothering them. Still, I really wanted a Philly steak tonight. My family wanted to go to pick up Portillo's but since I'm recovering from a procedure they gave me what I wanted. We ordered A Philly Cheesesteak, the Maxwell Polish & A Super Taco. I was hyped cause I had been wanting their sandwich for over a week now. When I took a bite, the meat had a spoiled taste. I looked at the sandwich & meat and smelled it and it was an off scent. Not seasoning. I've had this sandwich numerous times as well but there just happened to be something wrong tonight. I called 4 times - no answer. Mind you again, they're usually not real busy. I waited a few minutes and called again. No answer. My husband went to let the gentleman know what the situation was and he got irritated and said "I don't know what you want me to do". He goes to the back speaks to a lady. She comes back, husband explains. She says she has to call the OWNER to make a decision ( umm what?, okay). She dials a number & just handed my husband the phone. The number was the restaurant number so it went straight to VM. she comes back & says I'll call the personal number. She dials it, again hands the phone to my husband and she walked away. No one answered. Meanwhile, called back & she walks away to talk and now he hasn't said anything to the manager. The young lady comes back and says the owner says ..... " send her an email"! An email when the food is returned, the money was paid & the product just wasn't right this time. She said there's nothing I can do. I don't have another option. She hands him a card and that's it. Now he has sent the email but I now see why others have said what they've said. They don't want our business. They can't want customers or they wouldn't treat people with such disdain. I'm showing a pic & copy of my previous review to show you that I did in fact not only love the food before but also was promoting it. Now, even though this restaurant is 8 blocks away , I won't support a business that doesn't respect their customers & treat them with disrespect. I'm from the Chicagoland area so I was super excited to try this place! I love the references to the city and appreciate the authentic Chicago vibe. I loved theme of the names of the sandwiches, that custom vibe make it worth the wild. Inside I loveeeee the custom mural! It makes me feel at home! So boom the food. I personally got the pizza puff and fries and it reminded me of my childhood. Literally can't go wrong! These are the reviews from my family of their food: The Shed: The fish was seasoned very well! The bread was good, the sriracha was good. It was a great combo of fish and shrimp. Would deff get it again. Out West: It was delicious. Nice flavor. Scrumptious. I would get it again. The bread was so good and soft, and just enough toast. Back to me. The cakes were so good!! The strawberry shortcake with that crumble on top...OMG! Somebody auntie is deff in the back with it! The owner also made some complimentary sangria, & it was 10/10!! She said the bar will be open soon closer to the grand opening. There was a wait for the food but it was well worth it. I heard about this place through word of mouth. It's a brand new spot on Collin McKinney Pkwy right off of 121. I saw a photo of their "The Gold Coast" hoagie and had to have it. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and the place was clean. The sandwich I chose was on the pricier side of the menu, but was literally worth every single penny. Two stars because the food wasn't bad and the guy was nice, but it was the most awkward dining experience ever. We were looking to try lunch somewhere we hadn't been yet, and came across them on a list of new local spots. We got there, the "open" sign was on, but we very obviously arrived about the same time as the one employee who was working at the time - the lights were very dim, and there was no music or any kind of background noise - and he seemed a little surprised to see us. As it was our first time, we asked a few questions about menu items, but he wasn't very knowledgeable about more than a few items that he personally had made. We eventually settled on the D Rose, and buffalo chicken fries. We then grabbed plasticware, (no napkins because every dispenser was empty) our bottles of water, and sat down in a completely silent, dark room, while the one employee went to the back to make our food. The sandwich was HUGE, and was very tasty, as was the fries. We were not disappointed in our meal at all, but still, we could not wait to finished and leave. My opinion, for what it's worth - this could be a great takeout place. Shoagies is so freaking Good! My wife said it's was the best veggie sandwich she has ever had.....its not on the menu....you have to ask for it the catfish and shrimp sandwich had and abundance of shrimp.....I am not a shrimp fan and it was really good. I'm completely confused by the vibe. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon and there was a movie playing with sex and lots of cursing. There were a couple of kid's backpacks at the back two tables, (I'm assuming they belonged to the owners children), but this is not a family friendly place for patrons. The staff was welcoming and friendly upon arrival. I ordered The Shred. The bread was soft and the fish/shrimp had a good fry and flavor. There wasn't enough lettuce and they need another sauce other than sriracha. The markup on the Cake Daddy cake bowls is ridiculous! Almost double what cake daddy sells them for and $6 more than another Collin County establishment sells them for. $35 for a hoagie and cake bowl is too much. read more

Upon entering on a Thursday evening, there was a masculine older lady that said hello and continued her conversation on the phone. The restaurant was completely empty. My husband asked about the menus and she said with an attitude "menus over here by the register, why y'all think imma bring them to you" like whatttt??? They're TAKING OVER the sandwich game in McKinney! Yesterday my family purchased 2 sandwiches to share for dinner. The Philly cheese steak was perfect with a nice amount of beef that was not paper thin, so it felt like you got your money's worth...they the right amounts of peppers, onions, and melted cheese! We also purchased THE SHED!!!! They're putting people on notice with this sandwich! 3 words to describe this sandwich "THEY AIN'T PLAY'n"! After sharing these two sandwiches, I placed another order for the jerk chicken shoagie, and it was delicious also. I got the Chicago Fire hoagie and it was definitely the best buffalo chicken I've ever had! The buffalo sauce was mild enough to fully enjoy all of the other flavors, the bread was soft and toasted, and the chicken itself was amazing. The portion was very big and loaded with chicken so I would say it is well worth the price. Friendly staff, and nice laid back atmosphere. Definitely will be back! read more

Worst customer service ever! I came and sat at the bar. I was the only person in the restaurant. The workers did not want to assist me at the bar. Did not offer a drink or a menu. I was instructed to get a menu from the door and order at the other end of the bar. The workers were on their phone and had nasty attitude as if I walked into their home unannounced and demanded them to work. The owner is VERY RUDE and has no sense of customer service. My guy friend invited me there,he stayed there until i arrived. Wild 100 sandwich was terrible! Absolutely covered in oil. It spilled out all over the inside of the to go bag. Oil poured out of the sandwich when I picked it up. It also had way too much italian spice on it. No banana peppers. I threw it in the trash after one bite. The pizza puff was tiny and burnt. Fries were soggy and lukewarm.
