Our regular burger place closed. So, we've been on a hunt to find our new place. I think we've found it. Burger 82 is located in a small strip mall on Exchange across the street from the hospital. It's a good place for take out, but it has a new, clean, bright area big enough for about 30 people. They have lots of different burgers, sandwiches and salads. But I just ordered the standard Cheese Burger, Fries and drink. The Burger was about a 1/2 lb and cooked to perfection. Juicy enough to drip a little but not so much that it sogged the bun. The condiments were cold and crisp. It was a REAL burger. The fries were some of the best I've ever had. Crispy but not brittle. But I loved the flavor. They have Pepsi products. OK one negative. On the hunt for the ultimate burger, we rolled into Burger 82 on a Saturday around early evening. The place is small, and unfortunately some kids team (soccer or little league or something) was filling the place up with a lot of raucous noise and very few seats. We stayed though, and it was well worth it! Service was fast, and the burgers and fries were great (and huge)! They lose 1 star for being so small and noisy, and for putting cheap nacho cheese on their cheese fries. With fries as tasty as they were, they deserved better cheese. Tonight was the night for a hamburger. I found myself getting a more than normal lately, and seeing that Allen has added a few restaurants, it was a no brainer to eventually get down to a burger place right down the street. The location is conveniently less than a mile from my house, and on exchange which is easy to get to.. Upon walking in, the place is very clean, very well laid out, has a maximum capacity around 45 people, and the menu is laid out right there in front of you. After staring at the menu for a few minutes, my son decided on the jalapeño burger, and I decided on the mushroom burger. For a treat we ordered the loaded french fries, we tried to order two but the gentleman behind the counter told us one will be plenty. That was sound advice! The food came out pretty fast, the burger was above average, and the fries were delicious. I did not find anything extraordinary about my burger, but there was nothing bad about it either, and I plan on returning soon to check out any other items they may have.
