Went after a long day and this definitely hit the spot. Food was super fresh and crispy and I would recommend eating there to get the best quality. The only downside is I wish the interior and kitchen area was a bit more clean because even on first glance it can be off putting. The chicken sandwich was very hearty - there's a very thicc and large crispy chicken filet sandwiched between buns and topped with coleslaw and pickles. It's a great combination. I got the mild heat level and it was already pretty hot. I can't even imagine what the max would be like. There was so much food that I could only finish half the meal. I was excited about my hot chicken sandwich when I saw how huge the piece of chicken was and it had the right thick cut pickles. Chicken itself was somewhat dry and didn't have much flavor to it. I struggled biting into my sandwich. The breading used on the chicken was too crispy that it end up being hard and was too thick that it didn't stay on the chicken, so it easily fell apart with each bite. The sauce and coleslaw weren't bad. The vibe there was a little off. There were a few fruit flies flying around. The interior is bright, clean, and inviting. 7. The spice that they use to burn your tongue off isn't overly vinegary. And I loved it. Cons: 1. The soda machine wasn't working properly. It was dispensing sodas that were far too watered down. We sat in the table close to it and heard multiple customers complaining about it. Which sucks because they offer various Maine Root sodas which are sweetened with cane sugar. So if you want a sugary drink- you had to BUY a separate drink even tho your order was suppose to come with a fountain drink. They did offer Pepsi products there by the bottle for purchase. I get this for take out at work quite frequently. I love their chicken for the taste and quality. It's halal for those that need their meat prepared that way but even aside from that I believe they have cage free chickens and no antibiotics/hormones and all that. The spice is on another level. If you can tolerate hot Cheetos or sriratcha then I would stick with "just a burn" or maybe even "electric" level. I love the portion size of the rice platter with the Cole slaw and sauce. It's so good. If you need to scarf the food down quickly (for work reasons) I would go a level spice below what you think. Overall I love this place, I'm always excited when we get it for work. Really wanted to like this place. It was not clean. The floor was sticky and the tables were sticky and dusty. When the fold came out, you could tell what was made fresh and what was sitting under a heat lamp. The drink choices are terrible. Ended up trashing the food and drink. I visited at 12:30 PM on a weekday. When I walked in, I was the only customer. I almost turned around and walked out. It just didn't seem right: a busy shopping center and this restaurant was empty. Good news: the chicken strips I ordered ($12.99) were prepared fresh. There are six heat levels. I chose the second hottest (called Grease Fire). It delivered the heat, but I could still taste the chicken and the crispy batter. I would come back for this chicken. However, the French fries were terrible, some of the worst I've even been served. Chicken sandwich is freshly made and beautiful. Unfortunately it's extremely greasy, and they don't pound the breast at all so it's far to thick and uneven to eat in sandwich form. Fries were dusted in red seasoning of some sort, yet remarkably bland and flavorless. Lunch was $13 without the counter-service tip request. Why are you asking for tips at a counter-service restaurant? Not a good value. Front counter girl is not particularly friendly and is spraying cleansers on the tables, including those adjacent to me, wafting cleanser around the restaurant while I'm trying to eat. Overall a nice attempt with charming branding/theme, and definitely fixable, but in its present form I couldn't wait to get out of here. Seriously overrated here at 4.5 stars. We've seen this place in passing since they opened last year and finally decided to give it a try as hubby and I were in the mood for some nashville hot chicken. Simple decor and simple menu is always a plus. Hubby ordered texas hot chicken sandwich (texas toast) in wildfire spicy level (middle) and I ordered a Fiery nashville sandwich (bun) in greasefire level (up higher - second to spiciest). Sandwiches came with fries and a fountain drink and the order was fulfilled in a timely manner which is great. Chicken cutlets were big and fried fresh which was great. I had to actually blow on my sandwich bc it was so hot which rarely happens. Fries were your average crinkle fries sprinkled with paprika (I think) and the sauce was kayonnaisse similar to Raising Canes. My greasefire level chicken packed heat as promised and I thought it was pretty spicy without feeling too overwhelmed. Hubby's wildfire level on the other hand was probably a better choice for future since temperature hot with spicy hot wasnt easy to eat. I took off 2stars because both bread were drenched in butter inside and my bun became too flat and wet to hold the chicken. Too much of a good thing can still be bad. Also, coleslaws were very inconsistent between two sandwiches. For spicy sandwiches, i thought they didnt give enough coleslaws or at least ours looked diff from the photos. For the people who like the torture of pepper like I do, I will warn you to scale down one with your orders. If you go full throttle normally, go one rung down. Just a public service announcement. Imagine paying $7.49 plus tax for onion rings and you get home and open the small styrofoam box and there are 4.5 onion rings in the box...
