This place was so so packed and crowded. They were having a big rush because someone ordered like 20-30 drinks. It was super tight inside and everyone was just all over the place, I felt so bad for the workers since some customers were really impatient. We got the Longan Moonlight w/ Clear Boba and the Grill Milk Tea Herbal Jelly (added boba). Both drinks took forever cause of the rush, but they were really really good. The longan drink was refreshing and full of toppings, we wish there was more lime in there for a more citrusy taste though. The milk tea was delicious, it was the perfect balance of tea and milk based, and not too sweet! The prices were really cheap too, about $5 per drink (in this economy?). I went here 3 times within a span of 2 days when I was back in town They used to have a Carrollton location as well but it has unfortunately closed. They're always packed, especially when it whenever they have their bogo 50% deal whenever it rains. They have such unique drinks and are one of the more cheaper shops around as well First time I came, I got the Thai green heavy coconut. It's basically a Thai green milk tea with very heavy coconut flavor. The coconut flavor kind of overpowers the Thai green tea but it is something different and I would recommend if you are a coconut lover. Second time I got my usual, the grill milk tea herbal jelly. Their standard milk tea is soo soo good, such a good balance between tea and sweetness. The herbal jelly is in multiple long strips instead of a big fat chunk, which I prefer. Such a solid AND CHEAP option. I went a third time with my cousins and I go the Longan moonlight this time. It's a Longan based drink with pulp inside. It's a more refreshing fruit drink but not too sweet at all. I don't really like having pulp in my drink though so I wasn't too much of a fan. ** Disappointing customer service; refusal to remake two wrong orders. Rainy day BOGO and location were the only reasons I checked it out, now wouldn't recommend others coming here. I rarely give 1 star reviews especially to local businesses, but I feel robbed. If you're braving the rain to snag a deal just to get the wrong order and refusal to make it right, it becomes a net negative experience. On my second trip here with the wife, we ordered two grilled milk teas swapping the coffee jelly for boba, but ended up with two coffee drinks with boba. Told the worker about the wrong order who said they can't remake the drinks. It's very unlikely we would put in the wrong order both times. If it was busy and we were asking for a new drink just because we didn't like what we ordered, I'd understand the refusal. But this was a Friday afternoon, we were the only customers in the store, and we simply didn't get what we were trying to order. I imagine it wouldn't cost the business much at all the redo an order that was incorrectly made. Even if it costed them a few dollars, they could have easily made it back by earning two returning customers. We live super close by and could have made this our regular spot. Coffee drink tasted like cheap coffee from a dispenser with boba thrown in. Grilled milk tea was better. Threw out both our drinks. We saw they revoked the rainy order deal recently then brought it back suddenly. I'm guessing their business has been slow and I can definitely see why. Not only is it more affordable, but they use high quality ingredients to bring out the flavor of the tea or juice. I don't like things too sweet so I got it 30% sweet with less ice and it came out perfect. Asian mom approved so you know it's good. The flavor of the teas really came through which is something I look for in a milk tea place and the herbal jelly in my drink was perfect. The other times I went back, I got the thai green milk tea, thai green tea with lime, grill milk tea with herbal jelly again, mango green tea with mango jelly, and NB shaken lemon tea. The thai green milk tea wasn't bad, it's similiar to a thai milk tea but green. The thai green tea with lime was a very refreshing drink that's great for a summer day. My preference for a refreshing drink though would probably be the lemon shaken tea. They pound fresh lemons/limes for these drinks which I love! The most amazing thing about this place is the price. The grill milk tea with herbal jelly for example is $5. Shaken lemon tea for $3? Give me 2! As time goes on, prices may not remain the same, but for now it's one of the best values. We ended up ordering: NB Milk Green Tea, $3.90 prior to tax- My husband picked this drink to be made with no ice and 50% sweetener. I didn't try any of his drink but my husband thought his drink was good. Grilled Milk Tea Herbal Jelly, $5 prior to tax- I opted for this drink and thought the tea was just a slight bit bitter. But I thought overall it was fine. I had this drink made with no ice and 50% sweetness level. I thought the sweetness level was fine for me. Classic Milk Shaved Ice (prices prior to tax), $3.99 + Strawberry Fruit Topping, $0.70 + Lychee Jelly Topping $0.50- Since shaved ice was pretty cheap, figured we might as well order this. We added on 2 toppings and thought the size of this dessert was perfect for 2 (and a few bites that we gave to our little girl dog). I liked the sliced strawberries. The lychee at the bottom went well with the shaved ice that had condensed milk mixed in. ------------------------------------- (Total= $15.28 after tax) Our shaved ice was ready before our drinks, but total time after ordering, our items were all ready a little after 10 minutes. It was an honest mistake that i didn't even realized, but it was the audacity of the staff to call me not once but THREE TIMES! To basically berate me for grabbing the wrong drinks and to tell me if i was going to turn back around to return them. At that point as well I don't understand why you would even say that as the drinks already left the store who knows what could be happened to them ,would you have tried to give them to the other customer? Honestly I believe that kinda behavior is appalling and they need to work on how you speak to customers in the future. TL;DR - new modern milk tea shop. All teas have lots of options. Fruit teas use real fruit. Happy fruit tea and Uland tea latte are good. -- This is one of those more modern milk tea shops. The space inside is very small and can be pretty crowded when there's more than 3 parties ordering. There's really not much place to sit and chat. I mean there are seats but it's more like a place to pick up and go. There are two self-service kiosks at the front that take Apple Pay and card. There's a cashier counter off to the side if you want to talk to a human being. We ordered a happy fruit tea (开心水果茶) with no ice and no sugar, and uland tea latte (幽兰拿铁) with less ice and 30% sugar. The Happy Fruit tea was light and refreshing. It comes with a lot of fruit - apple, orange, and watermelon slices, and pineapple chunks. It was a bit hard to suck up the tea at first but was fine after stirring a bit. The fruit tea has all ice and sugar options - regular/less/no ice, 100% to 0% sugar. The fruit tea came with some paper below the cap to let you pop off the cap and eat the fruit afterwards. No messing around with trying to tear off the plastic cover like at other places. It's a nice thought. The Uland tea latte is topped with cream and walnut sprinkles. The cream is light and the walnuts are salty and caramelized. It goes well with the sweetness of the tea latte. 30% sugar wasn't sweet at all in fact. The tea tasted like Ceylon tea. You're given a spoon to eat the cream and nuts first, then a thin straw to drink the tea latte. I recommend eating the cream quickly before it melts. The tea latte comes with two ice options and all sugar options - regular/less ice, 100% to 0% sugar. The service was good and drinks came out quickly. The staff calls your order number and name so pay attention if you're waiting around. The girl who handed me my drinks was very helpful and explained how to eat/drink the uland tea latte. read more
