It is fun to try and experience new TP Tea locations, especially outside of California(Bay Area). During my most recent rip late last year to the Frisco area, we stopped into TP Tea. The interior is large, compared to any TP Tea location that I've visited. There were plenty of tables and chairs, and I could see several students on their laptops studying, which is near impossible given the lack of space of the TP locations near me. Parking should be easy as TP Tea shares a strip mall parking lot. You order via touchscreen kiosk on the left side by the counter and there is a also a large menu board to the right of the kiosk. I usually get a Fruit tea here and it did not disappoint on this trip. I know there are many boba tea options in this area but TP Tea is still a solid choice in my opinion. read more

I got the oat and pudding milk tea, and I would say I was suprised that the boba itself wasn't sweet. I honestly would skip the boba at this location, because it wasn't the best. I think the ambiance is similar to their richardson location, just a bit smaller. Also, I have heard that even their 50% sweet uses a lot of sugar.... so keep that in mind. read more

Went here around 4:30pm on a Monday holiday. There were a few people around but many came before we left. We got drinks and waffle. Drinks are ok but we like the waffle. Original is better than cheese imo. Service is bad. Anyways, my kids wanted to see how they cook the waffle and so we were there waiting for our waffle and we saw this girl server cooking the waffle in front of us. She added the batter and then left for a while. When she came back, she was (kind of) wondering why the timer did not work. It looks like she did not notice that it way past the timer, (i'm not sure). She even asked someone what she needs to do and someone told her to just make new ones. We thought, "ok, looks like she's going to make new ones coz the ones she did were very burnt" but she still continued packing the waffles and putting them in a paper bag. She was like very slowly putting the waffles in the bag, and at the same time had that look like she doesn't know what to do... When she gave it to us, I asked her if the food is okay because i saw what happened. She did not say anything... I asked her why she served it when she knows that it's burnt, no response. We were there watching the whole time, saw what happened and still served it to US..When we confronted her, she did not say sorry at all. She just said that the next one might take a couple more minutes to do but that should not be an excuse to give us the bad ones especially if it's for the kids... In the end, she just went inside the kitchen and someone else cooked it.. The guy who handed it to us was the one who apologized in the end. read more

The tea flavor is pretty authentic and they have a wide variety of drinks. Sometimes, I feel like they ignore the sweetness level and make it sweeter than ordered. In my opinion, this is one of the better spots for boba in the DFW area, especially in Plano. Overall, I would recommend this place for boba. read more

When you walk in, you can order through the self serve kiosks or through the cashier. There isn't anyone that actually is cashiering, its just a staff that's available that will cashier. So when its busy, it seems like they prefer you to use the self serve kiosks. It was pretty busy when I came to visit TP Tea today. I got the original egg pancakes. They will pour the pancake batter into the pancake maker when you order it, so they will come out HOT. I would wait a few minutes for them to cool down before biting into one, but other than that, they are sweet and delicious! read more

It leaned a bit on the sweeter side, but not adjustable since they don't add extra syrup. Overall, still quite enjoyable. Also gave the jasmine green milk tea a go. It had a nice jasmine flavor. The milk had a creamy taste that reminded me a bit of powdered milk--not in texture, but more in flavor. Not my favorite, but it was still decent due to the good strong jasmine flavor. read more

Alright my search for best milk tea in the area is complete... Kinda joking kinda not! This place is a subsidiary of Chun Shui Tang one of the claimed founders of bubble tea. The tea is nice and smooth and I added sago to it which is not the most commonly available toppings but I actually prefer it to the regular boba. There is a self serve kiosk for ordering and they call your number when it's done. Pretty simple and I also like the ambiance. read more

Amidst the growing number of boba tea places in Frisco, tp tea offers another respectable option. They are located right across presmont by that crazy shopping center that has no parking, ever. Fortunately there is parking galore by these guys. Its not a huge store, maybe 6 or 7 tables inside. It is roomy which is good because it was packed when i came here on Saturday afternoon. 2 staff people were working their butts off getting orders out quick. I tip my hat to you ladies. The menu is interesting though I wish it had more description as to what each non obvious tea was. I chose the Qq Tea as opposed to the 3Q tea. I'm like you live once so went for the mystery. It was a well prepared milk tea with Jelly and Boba. TP tea is a good option and i wouldn't mind coming back but on a personal note, I still miss my seven leaves and have yet to find a replacement. read more

This place I used to love so much. Today I stopped by and they made my drink wrong. Instead of risking not getting a refund (since both workers looked pretty new), I just paid for the drink I didn't order and paid extra for the drink I was supposed to get. I was understanding and willing to let it go... Until I got home and saw that none of my drinks had the toppings I paid for! Wanted to try a new boba place so went to Frisco to try out this place. Decent boba tea place but I wouldn't say it's one of my favorite in the DFW. I went on a weekday morning, it wasn't busy but there was only one worker so not a long wait, but still a little wait. I like the option of ordering at a kiosk because it's quick and convenient but with an overwhelming amount of different milk tea, I wish there was an option to order at the counter too. There was milk tea, boba milk tea, classic milk tea, tp milk tea so I just chose to try the classic milk tea which included boba, grass jelly and qq noodles. I also tried the guan yin tea. I got both half sweet. The classic milk tea was good and 50% sweet was perfect for me. The boba had a good chew but on the smaller side. The qq noodles were unique and different. The guan yin tea had a very strong tea taste and was not sweet at 50%. Perfect for someone who prefers drinking strong teas. With all the boba places in DFW, this still remains #1 on the list. TP Milk Tea (Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea) with Boba + Coffee Jelly is undefeated. Im lucky that I don't live right by this location, or else I'd probably be here way too often. I first had TP Tea in California, and was excited to see that two locations were coming to the DFW area. Specifically, this location in Frisco is my favorite. TPTea is strongest in their milk teas, and the TP Milk Tea with Boba + Coffee Jelly is by far their best imo. At different locations its called something slightly different, like in California its the Tie Guan Yin Milk tea, but its basically the classic Boba Tea. My only small criticism for TPTea is that their boba texture could be improved - perhaps making it a bit softer? Nonetheless, their tea definitely makes up for it. On hot days where we want to switch it up, my wife likes the Nostalgic Black Tea (has a lot of toppings), and sometimes I opt for the sunshine iced tea with golden jelly. read more

Came in this afternoon with my daughter to try this place out for the first time. I liked how you can order at the kiosk and then wait on the order itself. I do wish though that going to the counter was an option when modifying your drink. Hopefully that can be an option in the future. I say that because I don't like jelly in my boba tea and it would have been nice if I could get that out. My mango tea with sea salt crema was very good. The sea salt crema very delicious. I got Taiwan Classic Milk Tea and it was good! It had 3 toppings in it- bubbles, herbal jello and "QQ noodles" (chewy tapioca rods). The milk tea itself was rich and flavorful, and the toppings were nicely prepared. This place definitely reminded me of the authentic boba places in Taiwan (I'm from Taiwan). TP tea is my favorite boba chain that I've tried so far! I'm so glad to see its presence grow. You can't go wrong with the boba milk tea! TP tea absolutely nails the classic drink that started it all. The milk tea has just the perfect balance of sweetness while still maintaining a prominent tea flavor. The tapioca pearls are on the smaller side, but the texture is cooked perfectly. The quality is just as good as I remember from frequenting the Richardson location a lot! I also tried the French Puff Oreo Milk Tea. To be honest, it's not my favorite drink that I've tried from TP Tea. The consistency is like a watery milkshake, and I also felt like the Oreo flavor was watered down. It's an interesting flavor combination but wasn't a fan of the execution. I wasn't too keen on the jelly either. I do recommend the French brulee Strawberry Milk Tea, Boba milk tea, TieGuanYin Tea Latte, Red Bean Latte, and Winter Melon TieGuanYin Tea though. I felt like checking out the Frisco location since I've been to the one in Richardson before. It had just recently open and the interior was very bright and clean. The drinks are pretty good although the tea flavor of the tea series is very strong and not very sweet (perfect for older people with low sugar tolerance). The brown sugar milk tea is not overly sweet like some other places. I docked a star because I feel like the boba to drink ratio wasn't the best; I ran out of boba before the drink which almost never happens. Also it may be because the boba is smaller than other places. Overall seems like pretty high quality boba and drinks just wish there was more boba. read more

So happy TP Tea is in Frisco now. Probably the best boba shop in this area in terms of actual tea quality. The teas are all pretty strong and drinks are not as sweet as most other places, which is nice. Our go to drinks are the jasmine milk green tea and the various other flavored drinks like strawberry brulee or green tea taro. They are known for their oolong tea but it is a bit bitter for my taste. Everything is very good quality and they have two kiosks to order from. Just FYI, it automatically adds tips to all orders and you have to manually remove it if you don't want to tip. read more

There are like 500 Boba places all around DFW (maybe 1000 who knows , maybe I should go to Department of Census to ask). Our favorite ones had been Onezo (in the past), but now it's Ben Gong. So we tried TP tea for a change. Got French Brulee Strawberry Slush, Pina Colada Slush with boba, and some kind of QQ TP milk tea with boba and QQ? French Brulee Strawberry Slush - 5/5 Wowza! It's really good. We were suprised because normally strawberry slush isn't that good. I figured out later that they probably put in some strawberry ice cream to make it that good? Not much but some? Pina Colada slush 5/5 Lots of coconut extract and pineapple. Tasty! QQ TP Milk tea 4/5 Uh, the toppings are good but the tea is so-so. Not fragrant enough to make a good lasting impression (or even first impression). May not get this again the future. Verdict - will we come back? Maybe if we are craving the slushies.
