Sweet bear and chocolate ice cream

Sweet bears and fruit refreshers are amazing. Lots of drink options. Really enjoyed it. Friendly service.

Cute store and good boba. Got a normal jasmine milk tea. Comfortable store with some seating on benches. They have unique shaped bears and ice cream. No WiFi or bathroom here, so it's a quick in and out.

DON'T SLEEP ON THIS ONE!!!! Sweet Bear Cafe in Allen. We stopped by for boba and they had a sample of their Thai milk tea.... They hooked me with that! But that's not all. We ordered an assortment of their bears with filling and let me just say they were VERY delicious!!! The owners are extremely kind and want to make sure you have a great experience with their products. To have this kind of customer service is rare in today's world. This truly is a hidden gem!!!

Cute, welcoming, fun place to stop and check out. I've driven by here daily on my way to work and wanted to check it out so my son (13) and I finally made it happen tonight. My son ordered the sweet bear + ice cream combo. He chose the Oreo sweet bear with chocolate ice cream. The sweet bear has a waffle type texture and taste. The filling was - yep, an Oreo. He quite enjoyed the filling and the ice cream but the waffle texture wasn't his thing. He still gave is an 8.5 out of 10! So pretty good. I ordered the 2 sweet bear and the new Sugar Mommy Coffee with jelly. I wasn't sure what it was so I decided to give it a try. Con's - I wasn't able to order just 1 bear. I knew I wouldn't eat both bears so I was disappointed that they are only sold as a combo. Secondly, the sugar mommy coffee was ok - it wasn't horrible and it wasn't great. I did not like the texture of the jelly but I do believe that's an acquired taste. I gave 4 stars because even though I didn't love everything enough to want to keep coming back - it was a very pleasant and interesting experience. I can see why people do love it. If I were to return, I'd like to try their refreshers or other drinks. My son said he would come for the drinks as well to try different ones. I also gave 4 stars for the ambiance and customer service. Although, you do order yourself - the staff was friendly and explained your order to you. What is preventing 5 stars? I did not dock a star for taste because I believe that's not on the business - that's on individual taste and preferences. I do feel it's a little more expensive than I expected but not horribly overpriced. However, lack of seating could be an issue when busy - it would be nice if they had outdoor seating. Also, major downside for me was having to order 2 sweet bears instead of 1. Even though it wasn't my absolute favorite, I'd still encourage people to give it a go. Try it and see what YOU think. I love supporting local, small businesses and think you should too! :)

Super cute place to get snacks and drinks! I've had their matcha, mango refresher and the custard bear. 2 bears are about $5, that's a good deal. Bear fillings include custard, Nutella, red bean, Oreo and plain. I believe there are others like cheese too for an up charge. I've always taken it to-go but looks like there are plenty of seating. Hours are interesting. They don't open until 2pm on weekdays.

Stopping by twice during their grand opening week of May 11th, our family really enjoyed their bubble tea drinks, snacks, and hospitality. Located in a very small strip mall in Allen, TX, Sweet Bear is a locally owned small cafe, that just opened in the space that previously had a very good donut shop. The husband/wife owners share their dream (in their own words): "to share a little sweetness, and joy to our community through handcrafted Korean desserts, drinks, and treats". After ordering and paying, one can sit and wait in the few cafe tables/chairs set around the cafe. It takes as long as one would expect for personalized orders, with drinks being finished in the order received. We tried a couple of their drinks, including a Korean Strawberry Milk ($4.95) personalized with lychee jelly (+$.75). One can choose the sweetness level (25% to 100%)...both times, we tried it at 50% and it was very sweet, definitely giving a sugar high if drunk too fast. On both of our trips, we got the sweet bear duo (two bears for $4.95), consisting of a freshly baked waffle batter in the shape of a bear, with custom filling. I personally tried custard, sweet red bean, oreo, and nutella...all good with custard being my favorite. One can order it with ice cream on the side (+$3.95), and that was a great bite: with warm waffle cake and custard, with the cold ice cream. As one can see, the prices are very reasonable. They are on Instagram and ordering online is enabled via snackpass. On both days/nights, the owners were busy at work in the back (a steady stream of customers were coming in), but they still made time to say hello. Their story is shown across their shop, personalizing it as a local business. Using technology to automate what they can (ordering is via kiosks with no cash accepted), and focusing on the important stuff is a recipe for success: handcrafted drinks, snacks and good consistent service (heard the owner always ask every customer to let him know if something was wrong, and he would make it right). It's the perfect attitude.

My kids swim class is nearby and decided to check it out after class. One family came in before us and there was no-one else there. They have one kiosk for orders which bottle necks as 2 other families came in after me and we were all just waiting as the staff is just waiting for the orders to come in. They should have a POS behind the counter for a live person to take orders as needed as the person in front me took a bit to view the menu and decide what to order. The staff were nice and recommended the best way to eat the bears. We got the oreo and custard flavors. Oreo reminded me of a fried oreo. I wasn't fond of the custard flavor but my son and his family ate it up. The waffle bear its self was nice a crispy. Overall we would come back and try other flavors. They also sell bubble tea which we didn't get today but they had samples of the jasmine milk tea and winter melon milk tea both at 50% sweet. Out of the 2, I preferred the winter melon. They were good but I thought even at 50% sweetness, it was still very sweet. I would probably get 25% as boba/jellies would make it sweeter. Decor is cute. Not fond of the tables/stools as they aren't comfortable and the table easy tips over. My kiddos were trying to climb up to sit on bench/stools and reached up to the table for grip and I had to hold the table in place to prevent it from tipping over.

Such a cute boba shop run by the nicest couple. The boba is creamy and affordable. I tried two warm sweet bear cakes with Nutella and custard and both were delicious with the perfect amount of filling. The taro and milk tea bobas at 75 percent sweetness were perfect and came out fast.

Super cute Asian-owned boba tea place in Allen/Lucas area. I tried the Korean Strawberry milk tea with boba and my husband got the Refreshing Pink Drink. The boba was cooked really well and both drinks were tasty. We also tried their taiyaki dessert, it's a cute little bears with fillings. We ate the honey&cream and Nutella bears. It was sooo good I bought a whole box to take to my mom for her and I to share. It's family owned and they're super friendly. They even offered samples for us to try but I already knew what I wanted. Please check them out since they've only been open for a couple of months! They also have instagram

This place is amazing!! The bubble tea was tasty but what really stole the show were the Sweet Bear pastries. I tried the Custard and Oreo fillings. The Custard was my favorite, but I was shocked to see a whole Oreo inside the other bear. The Honeydew bubble tea was light and refreshing. They have some seatings, so it's nice to sit and chat with friends.

Large Thai tea at 100% sweetness, plus boba. And 5 sweet bears full of custard and Oreo.

Convenient ordering system, quick service & pickup, delicious food & drinks, cute & quaint size with an upbeat & fun atmosphere. There were kpop music videos playing on the 4 screens above the counter. There is only 1 ordering station, but you can easily place an order online as well. A nice amount of boba in my Thai tea, and the perfect amount of custard in our sweet bears. The bears were cooked to perfection, too. They also have the popular ice cream that is shaped like fruit and individually packaged (they were delicious). The refreshers were also great - we got mango and strawberry. We'll definitely continue visiting this establishment.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! The food is so amazing! I get the sweet bear filled with either Nutella or chocolate caramel (there are 8 different options but I can't remember them all) and then you choose an ice cream flavor (also has lots of options, I usually get the vanilla). What you do is break the bear in half and then put some ice cream on the bear to take the bite together. You get the hot bear with the cold ice cream and it is AMAZING! They also have milk teas and I usually get the jasmine milk tea at 50% sweetness (you can choose 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% sweetness, I always pick 50% and that's definitely sweet enough for me). You can add the boba to drinks that don't come with the boba and there are again lots of different ones to choose from. The service is amazing, I love the owners. They're always so happy and excited, it makes the energy in the place so positive. The ambiance is so cute too, they have little conversation starters on the tables which is really cute if you need something to mix it up. I live about 2 minutes from this place and so I go regularly, the owners know me and I recently got a job so when I went in to get my usual order they gave me a box of study snacks to eat while I prepare to take my insurance license exam. It was so sweet and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of their gesture. Highly recommend coming here, you'll definitely want to come back!

I tried Jeremiah's for the first time today. I first had Italian Ice of this variety back in 2013,…read morewhen I tried Rita's out in Arlington, VA. Annnd, in the interest of full disclosure, I had Italian Ice... REAL Italian Ice in Italy and in Germany (Eis). Both, Italian-Italian Ice and German Eis are actually firm and maintain their spherical shape when scooped. Also, both are more syrupy as they melt than the Jeremiah's (and Rita's) varieties. The main differences between Jeremiah's and Rita's is that Rita's is custard and Jeremiah's is "ice cream;" more akin to Dairy Queen's Soft Serve®. Flavor-wise, I could not tell the difference! The "Ice," on the other hand, at Jeremiah's was markedly colder than Rita's and, therefore more of a firm frozen soft ice, rather than an icy slushy treat. With all of that said, I thoroughly enjoyed Jeremiah's!!! What I was most impressed with, is that Jeremiah's has a lot of variety and availability of their Ice assortment. The Rita's I visited in VA normally offered five or six different Ice flavors on any given day, and not really any consistency with the same flavors from day to day. So, if one identified a particular favorite flavor, it was hit or miss trying to catch Rita's on the day the favorite was being offered. To say the least it was frustrating. And, for those who may have tried the Rita's in Allen, TX, before it closed, I'm sure we feel the same sentiment that lack of flavor options was the proverbial nail in the coffin and the likely reason it did not survive scrutiny and customer dissatisfaction. One last noteworthy thing about Jeremiah's, they actually feature a rewards app, which I cannot wait to start using to accumulate freebies or discounts! Also, I like the idea that Jeremiah's apparently takes its name from, THE "Jeremiah," who was a bullfrog... was a good friend of mine... and whose, words said I never understood... and, who always shared his wine with me! LOL!! The inside of Jeremiah's was very clean and the bathrooms were also clean and well stocked! Bottom Line: Jeremiah's is here to stay, I'm sure! But, in order for good businesses to survive, people must visit them, and visiting Jeremiah's SHOULD be on your To Do list! If you don't, your loss. If you do, Win - Win; for you, those in your accompaniment, and people like me who want to see Jeremiah's succeed and stick around! Before you go, check out my pics and... Eat well. Be well. Cheers!

All three of the people that came by to refill coffee and water and to check on us (multiple times) were very nice. We were fortunate to arrive at the perfect time for a Saturday morning, as we would find out in just a few minutes, as we watched the wait list grow. This being our first time, we weren't sure of the seating situation. I walked to the back, where the to-go pick up was located, to find that we can sit anywhere and that someone would come and help us. We did, and they did. I suggest you stop in and give Curuba a try. Very reasonable prices, lots of menu choices, wonderful staff, oh, did I mention the coffee? I love dark roast coffee, "Just black, please". This Columbian coffee is dark, rich, smooth and flavorful with an aroma that hits the senses with every taste. If you're a dark roasted coffee fan, stop in for a cup to go. You'll be back. And even better, the coffee comes from Columbia. They purchase it from a local importer (I believe). They provided the url via QR code. We believe in the "Buy local" philosophy. It's nice to see businesses doing business with local businesses. THE BAD: It's a small restaurant. Making a reservation (Open Table) is likely a good idea. We happened to find it at a slow moment on a Saturday morning. OVERALL: We're fans. I'd love to take our friends and family for lunch, or tell them about our new find. However, there are some things better kept to oneself.
