Not getting this at McDonald's or Burger King. 5 stars baby!

Since 1973... family owned and operated. Support local small businesses and families! Talk about nostalgia... this place brings me back. We used to to bring our customers here for lunch in the 2000s. It was an easy drive over from what was Telecom Corridor in Richardson/ Plano. Big tech now we call it all. Any hoo... get your butt over here. Love the remodel and happy to see this place not only standing however updated. Nice outdoor picnic area with lights and umbrellas. Let's talk about the food... first of all they grew their own tea. IYKYK!!! They also have lemonade by the tea... yup! Go on with ya bad self. Ordered the bacon. Cheeseburger and onion rings. Ranch. These are the burgers I think about when I moved to Washington state for work. Good luck finding one like this. Meat quality. Bun.

As much as I'm all for supporting locals and old-school burgers, my experience at Country Burger was a disappointment. I had so many high hopes from all the positive reviews, but it did not go well with my taste buds. We came on a weekday lunch, and the place had a good amount of customers. The interior is classic and I love all the plants and natural lighting. The menu is right by the register, so you can look and order. The service here was pretty good, but that doesn't mean the food was to my standard. Burgers were around $10-15 each, depending on which one you're getting. We got a combo with fries and a drink, and I got extra fries on the side; the total came to around $18. The food took about 10 mins to come out, and it looks just like your classic old-school style burgers. When I took my first bite, I was so disappointed in how dry and tasteless the patty was. There was no seasoning whatsoever, just plain beef. The burger was flipped backward when they wrapped it so I thought that was confusing. The burger was big and definitely worth the price, but I couldn't believe how plain this burger was. Not even ketchup can help add some flavor to the burger. I'm a fan of classic burgers and tried many spots throughout Dallas, but this one was a disappointment. My friend couldn't even finish his burger because it was just so tasteless. Their fries were crispy and good, but I was expecting more flavors for the burgers. I wouldn't visit again since I have other favorite classic burger spots in the area and the burgers are a couple of dollars cheaper there as well.

Pepperjack burger, minus a test bite, LOL

We pulled up at the place next door, saw a family-owned tag on a burger joint, and had to try it. The pepper jack burger is fire. It will feel like your mouth is ablaze, but it hurts so good. The service was simple and polite, like you would reasonably expect. The bad reviews seem to focus on the plain burger which is...plain. Stick to the specialty burgers and enjoy yourself. Dope spot!

Back after many years. As I wrote there is a lot of competition in Collin county for burgers. Posted some new photos of weekend lunch hr. Great burgers and sweet potato fries.

So I have lived near this place for 2 years. A lil hesitant since it looked a lil ragged but I bit the bullet. I got the double double combo and it was pretty darn good. I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again. Good tasting fresh burger and the fries are great. The milkshake was okay too.

I ordered the turkey burger along with sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, I was brought regular fries instead, and neither the fries nor the burger really matched my personal taste preferences. That said, food is subjective, and what didn't work for me may be exactly what someone else enjoys. The service was okay overall, and one thing I did appreciate was seeing people genuinely interacting and talking with each other. In a world where everyone is often glued to their phones, it was nice to see a place that seemed to encourage conversation and connection. While my meal wasn't a favorite, I can understand why this place attracts a crowd. I'd still recommend giving it a try and deciding for yourself, especially if you're looking for a casual burger spot with a busy, social atmosphere.

There was plenty of seating at the restaurant with long tables, sit down tables, and outdoor seating. After choosing our table we waited 15 minutes before our waitresses showed up. They were very busy with the lunch rush so it took awhile between everything. It even took awhile to get our waters. One waitress was in training and learning from the other. The positive was that the waitresses were friendly throughout. After looking at the menu and waiting another 15 minutes we finally placed our order. We got our appetizer after waiting another 15 minutes. Thankfully that held us over until we got our burgers and fries. We started with tostada chips and queso. It was good and we ate it up pretty quickly. We requested another basket of chips to finish off the queso. To eat with our burgers we ordered hand punched fries and sweet potato fries. The hand cut fries were nice and thick and you could taste the salt. I enjoyed eating them with ketchup. The sweet potato fries were also thick and salty and you could taste the flavor of the potato. No need for ketchup with these fries unless you want it. For my burger I ordered the HL Hunt cooked medium which comes with white cheese, bacon, blackberry compote and mustard. The burger was filling, the cheese was melted but it had little flavor, and the bacon was chewy. The compote was my favorite part of the burger as it added a slightly sweet flavor. I requested a medium cooked burger but it didn't taste that way but it was still good despite that. Overall Rodeo Goat has lots of seating and friendly staff but I would go at an off peak time so that you don't have to wait a long time for everything. The food was still good despite the wait.

The decor and theme are inspired by New Orleans/Creole/Cajun vibes, and it's beautifully put together. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision!
